I was expecting it to be a bit cheap feeling - but actually it is very good quality - and quite a bit bigger than I assumed it would be. All in all, very much worth the money.
I have very thin hair. It tends to fall out due to meds I take. But I have dyed my hair in the past. However, I did like this color best of all. It lasted longer. I received so many compliments. But I unfortunately for health reasons I need to stop my order but, I don't know how to cancel. But, my friends are considering ordering it instead of going to the salon.
I like having this to protect my clothes. It’s made doing my hair a lot easier and cleaner. However it did leak through the back by my shoulders a little. Maybe a bigger cape would be better.
If someone is coloring your hair, this cape works great, providing full coverage. I don't think it would work if you are coloring your hair by yourself.
This is a cape that is thicker than the ones the salon that I used has. However, it is a cape not a dress length garment like the ones at the salon. Overall, I like it, because it is good quality and can be used repeatedly. I have used it three times now.
The cape definitely does the job and since it's dark it doesn't show any stains where I drip on it. The one downside of this is that it's sometimes tough to find drips on it to sponge them off before putting the cape away for net time! Definitely worth the purchase and much easier to get on and off then an old shirt.
I am gonna have to cancel esalon as I tried the permanent hair color and It was the wrong hair color also I lost a significant amount of hair and developed itching that will not stop . I keep trying but kept hoping It might work !
But truth be told, I would like it to be longer (to cover most of my clothes). It's better than nothing, so kudos to eSalon for thinking of everything. If you're trying to color your own hair, it's a bit clumsy, and a itty-bitty cape isn't gonna provide much protection if you happen to drop the loaded brush... (just sayin').
A bit short (just to waist) and the placement choices of the 2 neck snaps could be placed a bit better. I’m only 85 lbs & smallest option strangled me, the wider option left cape gaping open. Next time I will use a clip to close it snuggly, but for 1st use, I was concentrating on other things. With all that being said, I’m still glad I had it to use.

A little too plasticy, i wish it had a little more towel like texture. Not sure how long this would last for anyone who dyes their hair with regularity or ever tried to wash it.
The cape was a nice bonus with my first order.
It has a nice weight to it and it doesn't feel like a garbage bag. Very similar to a professional cape. I just wish it was a little bit longer.
it's a decent size but the adjustable sleeves don't seem to accommodate much and they are awkward to fasten on one's own when one has rotator cuff problems in one's shoulders. Definitely still protects as I didn't get the "sleeves" fastened until I went to shower off the colour and there was no trace of dye on my clothes and it is also pretty waterproof, only feeling a little damp underneath when the shower hit it directly.
I recommend wearing a shirt under it gets hot wearing this cape and the plastic will stick to your skin. Other than that very minor issue, I love using the cape as it keeps from staining your skin, clothes, etc. You'll feel like you brought the salon experience to the privacy of your home.
Unsure which is front and which is back...popper closure but only at the neck, leaving a big open bit. Some ties would have been useful- like salon capes have.
If you fasten poppers at the front then you are leaving plenty of opportunity for dye to end up down your front as you move your arms. Poppers at the back and the whole thing ends up in front of you if you lean over (maybe to reach dye or bottles or clips fallen on the floor) blocking your view and meaning you risk touching your clothes with dyed gloves when you move it back.
But its sturdy material, has a hook to hang it up and protected my clothes, so all in all not bad.
This is a good protective cape for hair coloring, and did the job well for me. I do think it needs to be a little longer and larger, though -- it might not fit the neck on a larger person, and could stand to be a little longer to catch any drips.
The worst part about coloring is deciding which old shirt to ruin time and time again. This cape saved my comfy, old t-shirt. It fit just right around my neck, not too tight or too loose. Hangs up nicely on my door until next time. Lifesaver!
I figured this cape would be thin and somewhat cheesy in quality. Like everything I received from eSalon, the quality was fabulous. I now have the cape to use for my hair coloring as well as when I cut my son's hair. The cape is thicker and rubbery on the inside to prevent from sliding. I would give 5 Stars, but I did four stars only because I wish it was longer as it goes to just below the waist. Besides that, the quality is fabulous!
I was hoping that this wasn’t going to be made of cheap plastic, and I was pleasantly surprised! Although, I usually put on an old shirt to color my hair, you never know when this will be useful.

The cape is not only heavy but doesn't drape over your shoulders. It's a slippery materialI so I was constantly pulling it back & forth & then just bagged it. I'll go back to using the cloth one where material is soft & covers me front to back. Does not hang as shown on your web page.

I wish it was waterproof but not so thick. The plastic cape makes me sweat in this heat. Maybe it's not going to be so bad in the winter. In the meantime, an old towel works better...

The worst experience. I cancelled my plan months ago and my credit card was charged and an order sent out, no where to find a contact to talk to a PERSON. Such a frustration abusive process. Ruined several pillow cases and towels, STaIns everything. Bad

So this dye didn't cover up my grey's at all!!
I have very stubborn resistant gray hair and this color didn't work for me so I will probably not be buying it again. And the cape should come in different sizes just saying.

This is great in theory - home hair coloring can be messy. But the cane is super small, I’m confused by the neck size, and it also does not cover much.

While the quality of the cape was good the size was very disappointing. It was too short and one size does not fit all. If you snap the side where your arms suppose to be you better have super slim arms. If I knew that it would be so short I would not had purchased this item. At least it should cover all the way down to your waist the cape did not. That is why I gave it a rating of one star. For the quality of the cape I would have rated it a five star.

I wish that it was machine washable and shaped a little differently.

This cape is ridiculous.
MR hair color instructions are to apply hair color and then get in your shower, apply remaining hair color and work through. You would think the cape they offer would work with the instructions for their hair color. When applying their hair color you don’t want to wear anything that can’t be unbuttoned, since you rinse your hair out in the shower.
This cape:
It lays over your front and back like a bib.
It’s short, reaches just to waist
It does not cover your sides at all
It’s very thick and very hot, it makes you hot then sticks to your skin
If you want to have coverage of your chest and stomach while applying and waiting on your hair color you would need to wear something under your bib. If you don’t wear something under this cape you are completely exposed
There is nothing positive about this cape. Buy a black terry spa wrap for half the price and you will be much more comfortable.
