Cape provided great protection while coloring and had plenty of snaps for right sizing but I would have preferred it to be longer.

One of the downsides of home colouring is getting dye all over your clothes and towels, so this salon-quality protective cape offers professional protection to your clothing. The fasteners around the neck are great and offer flexibility for different sizes and a snug fit and you can still easily move around without the cape flopping around. It is good quality, weighted cape.
The cape was so vital to my personal attempt at colouring my hair on my own. I would only have wished it was longer as I am taller than average and when I would lean against my counter by accident, my shirt would get wet but thankfully I didn't get any dye on it...this time 😀
Well made product just feel it should be made a little larger. I am a 5'3" 125 lbs so is ample for me but someone of a larger size may find it a bit constricting.
It covers the shoulders & midway down the torso, so not a full cover. However, it’s made of nice thick heavy duty (vinyl? Idk) anyway it feels like the ones from the salon. A nice surprise, I was expecting a thin cheapie piece but it’s really nice.
This is a nice cape and it buttons on the sides so it doesn't get in the way - is very easy to remove quickly when the timer goes off and you need to get in the shower. Only downside I could think of is if you have really long hair, might be better to have a longer one? But mine isn't long so I'm good.
The cape is great, now I don’t worry about what shirt I can sacrifice if color stained it. The reason I gave it a 4 is because it’s hot around my neck.
The only thing i would change if i had to change something would be to have it a little longer to cover legs. For those if us who do their color by themselves...
I am glad I purchased the cape with my first order and I love the fact it goes all the way around me!! I would have preferred it to be a little longer though which is why I’ve only given it 4stars but otherwise it’s great!!!
I was pinning a dark bath mat around my shoulders for coloring, so I was really happy when the cape came back in stock. It fits well and covers everything. Washing and drying the cape is tricky - wish there were instructions for this.
Not what I was expecting! This is a heavy duty comfortable, professional quality cape that will last you a good long time, through many many uses. Maybe forever. Maybe you leave it to your kids. Maybe just order it and not ruin all your clothes. Won't protect your shower curtain or cat from enthusiastic dye application though, so be careful. ;)
If you are doing it with a trash bag, stop. This is all you will need over and over. Stop wasting the bags, use them for cleaning out your closet during the pandemic.

Love the design but....

So like I said I love the design BUT it is odd fitting. Especially if you're lifting your arms and trying to color your own hair. The design is great for coloring your own hair but it needs to be a bit larger. And I'm not a large lady. I realize it isn't a fashion statement but it would be nice to be able to maneuver in it a bit better and have it a bit longer to cover uh-ohs and splatter.
I waited until my third order of hair color before ordering the protective cape. I wasted resources ((shirt, garbage bags (Yes, I actually tried to make a plastic garbage bag work!)), time and energy trying to avoid purchasing yet another item to color my hair at home.
Get the cape on the first order. It works.
I really like the cape, although it could be about a foot longer, I don't have to use one of my towels. It also saves my neck and shoulders from a rash afterwords.
