Updating my review. If I leave this on my hair for MUCH longer than instructed it does a decent job. I follow it up with the ESalon toning mask and while they do cancel the harsh red tones my hair tends to get, it doesn’t give me the cool ashy brown I want. So I follow up even that up an expensive cool brown color mask from Sephora and it works perfectly. None of them do the trick on their own for me, but my hair pulls SUPER RED tones that are STUBBORN.
Then on days between doing all the masks I’ll use this in the shower just to help maintain. While it’s a small inconvenience to pick a day to sit around and apply color correcting masks, I much prefer it to constantly having to to the salon to touch up color because of how fast my hair tends to fade. So on it’s own, I’d probably give this product 3 stars, but as part of my little routine it’s an essential.

This rinse is great. It really helps to hold the color. Only downfall is that it will stain anything it's touched for too long. So make sure to rinse everything right after so that no color remains anywhere.
I think it does what it’s supposed to, but seems to really dry out my hair even only using once a week if that. So have a good leave- in conditioner ready.
Side note- whatever this touches it does stain instantly so be prepared. :)
I do like the product and the way my hair feels after using the product, however, I am still in search for a color that has my natural color shine rather than cover up with a new color.
Make sure you SHAKE WELL beforehand. Couldn't really see any difference after one application, but hopefully will see over time to keep brassiness away.
I have the copper and now I wanted a darker version. Everyone compliments me on my hair. It’s absolutely bizarre. I went from people never saying anything to people now repeatedly saying how health it looks
I like it it work , but leave my hair too dry . Is very good to keep your color beautiful and shine but in my case i stop using this product because the dryness problems
The color is very intensely orange, and is a bit too dark for light red colors. I mix it in my hand with the golden rinse, and then it is perfect. Lasts about 3 shampoos before you need it again. Be careful to saturate your hair well or you will get bright and pale patches

Use a small amount on towel-dried hair before styling. Will reduce brassiness between colorings.
I use the tint rinse 2x per week. It really helps keep my red pigment from fading so quickly. I would rate it a 5, but I'd prefer the product to be a bit more creamy in texture. Other than that, AWESOMENESS in a tube!!
The disappointing part was that it took a week after submitting an inquiry in regard to what item to get and didn't get a response from the team until AFTER my purchase was already placed. Love esalon but y'all need to up your customer service...
I used this on my baylayaged hair and it worked great to cancel out the red that was my brown was turning into. Just be careful, I got some of this on my blonde hair and it turned it green.
Final result is ok but application is a little bit tricky

Considering that, to use this product you have to use gloves, applying it while showering is almost impossible. So you have to wash your hair, step out of the shower, wear gloves, apply and wait and then go back into the shower for rinsing. It would be so much easier if it was a shampoo instead. You wet your hair, apply the Tint, wait for the due time than step into the shower to make it foam and rinse. Try and think about it.
I love that it has helped to maintain my color! I don't need much and use it twice a week. The only thing I find frustrating is that it stains my hands, so I have to use gloves.
Works well to tone down any brassiness. Lowers the contrast of my highlights, blending it back into hair. I personally prefer to use the neutralizer more frequently, and then the colour-tint every once in a while as a boost. Only 4 stars because the colour changed from green to silver after a few weeks? Unsure if this means the product is working less effectively now as I used to use this with a booster.
I just tried this product, and I'm in love! 😍💗 I've been growing out my hair for the past year, and it's been two-toned the entire time. I box dyed it a midnight blue last year because I loved the blue-black color it turned out to be, however, it must have had a strong developer in it even though it deposited significantly darker tones because the fade is unreal. My natural color is a medium to dark ash brown and the bottom half had faded to a caramel color which has driven me mad. My hair is badly damaged, so I didn't want to dye it again. I saw this on ElleBangs and wanted to try it out. I was skeptical but it has very much cooled down the brassiness of my ends. I couldn't be more satisfied, especially given this takes minutes, is non-damaging, and gives real results. So happy!!! I tried the Red Neutralizer, and I really wanted to share before and after, but the website doesn't have that option. 🙄 So...take my word for it. It's 100% worth it (and so are you). 😉

I luv this product!! but wish it wud keep my roots more covered as rest of my hair. It may just be my timing, as with my disability, it’s not as easy for me. However, I just luuuuve it!! 👍😎
This went on well I will use again and I think it will help with the color. Sadly the waste in sending it to me is heartbreaking. The box they added it was a full 6 inches bigger than the regular color order. I had the old box from my lady order and found it fit in there just fine with out all the additional packing, waste and shipping cost. What a waste of resource and money adding cost to something you are charging extra for shipping now. Bad for the environment and costs.
This does help with some brassiness but leaves my hair and scalp quite dry even if I only use it twice a week...but other tones do the same thing so its just what tones do i guess...I still use it anyway
This product doesn't color your hair like the ones sold in the store.
It's specific for my hair color, the Copper color just gives my hair color a refreshed boost until I color again, it doesn't change the color of my hair.
I was not happy with the dye I purchased but this tint saved my colour, it has given my hair that natural strawberry blonde I was as a child and young adult I am so happy with the tint product, I hope I can purchase this separately and on its own
The color was a little darker than I preferred, but was expected due to the lack of pre-lighting. However, I added my semi to the Demi to create a unique blend. 😊
There needs to be more colors in the tints IMO. I have only tried the copper and I didn’t like how my hair looked when I used it after dying my hair dark red. The copper rinse made the red look too one dimensional & was not a good look on me. I have since shifted to dying my hair a dark brown which is my natural color and I have used the copper rinse several times with it brown and it has looked much better.
Okay so I dyed my hair Light N Brown. It turn my hair a ugly red color. So I bought this tint rinse and tried it, it didn’t work I was so bummed. So I got on YouTube look-up this tint rinse. Found a video and she’s a stylist and said just dampen your hair don’t wash it with shampoo- which I did first time them after I used it I put the tint rinse on- that was my mistake why it didn’t work. So this time around I just wet my hair towel dried it. I have long hair, thick it goes to my bra strap. She said use a lot of the tint rinse get it on all of the hair. Okay first time I did this I only used it like I do my shampoo not much-my second mistake- so this go around I used almost the whole tube, I made sure all my hair was cover with the tint color, I lathered it all over left it on for 5 mins and rinsed it out. Omg I thought this isn’t going to work, wow it’s a soft brown color now and no RED ... yahhh!! So go by the length and thickness of your hair, plus towel dry your hair so it’s damp. Good luck ladies, I’ll have to order more cause one tube I might get two times use with it. I wanted to add a before and after photo but guess you can’t do that here
I am in the process of letting my natural color grow out and was not happy with the brassy old color from my mid shaft to the ends. I was using Semi and Demi color to try and keep it covered but those processes kept lightning it more so I decided to give this a whirl. After the first use I was pretty happy with the results.
I use this for when my color is fading and need just a touch of color for the week before I re-treat my hair color. I like it but be warned this is a very "red" color and will make your hair a bright red.
This product does keep my hair color close to the original effect and I don't notice that "wearing-out" reddish/orange hue towards the last few weeks before touching up. However, the instructions should state that you must wear gloves when applying as it stains your hands (does go away by midday) and stains wherever it happens to fall on the shower floor if not immediately (less than 30 seconds) rinsed with water and tub cleaner. Haven't decided if the mess to use this product is worth the effect.
I have had red hair for months now, and its been a disaster trying to rid myself of it. It was dyed a terrible job, and turned bright orange, then, was dyed with a brown and became copper. I was so sick of the red, copper, that out of desperation i googled how to fix my problem. I found this, and on a whim bought it and prayed that the price would be worth it. Lo and behold, my hair is the loveliest shade of brown. I have no idea how I got it to be this brown, but with one wash (kept the product in for 5 minutes) it changed into this wonderful brown with golden highlights. I will DEFINITELY be buying my hair dye from this place. And I am so so so satisfied

I bought the hair color with a purple tint. I was nervous to use it because I’m 54. So after having it for 3 weeks, My daughter convinced me to do it and she actually did it for me. The first bottle for the roots was a piece of cake. The second bottle, well let’s say I wish I had a gas mask. The odor was really strong both mine and my daughters eyes were burning. It didn’t burn my scalp which I was happy about. Having to add water to the rest of the dye and massage it through my hair was rather difficult because it was such a strong odor. I lived through it and I was extatic when I saw the color. I looked like I was in my late 30’s again. I have been getting compliments on a daily basis. My only problem now is it’s fading and the color is turning a lighter brown in certain spots. I use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. I don’t know what I did wrong but it’s only been 2 weeks since I colored my hair my grays are already showing at the roots and at my temples. I’m not as satisfied as I thought I would be with the product.
So I was an Aveda user and really loved their product but it was way overpriced. ESalon's tint works equally as well as Aveda for a 1/3 of the price. I recommended it to friends and family already and they agree. I wouldn't say the gray coverage is 100% but I'm OK with 90-95% product coverage.

There is honestly nothing about this company I don't like. Color is amazing, customer service is awesome. I love the tint for those last weeks before I color again and it needs just a little boost.
I like my color but I hate to do the coloring to often (I just can't spare the time). The tint gives my hair a bit more shine and color and I can wait another few days (I meant weeks) for the next big day. Don't get me wrong the coloring with esalon is easy as 123 - I just dread the whole process - even at the salon.
I look forward to using this again after I have my hair color professionally done. I used it once and I loved how the highlights popped, but my roots took on a pinkish hue.
First time using it, seems to work just fine. Still to see if does really work once 2 or 3 weeks pass after coloring, which is when my hair turns very brassy.
It helped some to get rid of the brassy tone that this color left behind, but it didnt completely neutralize it. Will continue using in hopes that it will eventually balance it out.
I enjoy having a reddish tint to my brown hair, but what I especially like with this copper tint is I can control the redness. It’s not permanent so if I feel like more one day and less the next I can achieve that with this product.
This dye enhanced my natural red and made it pop and shine. I loved it and it looked very natural. However, it only lasted until I washed my hair. So I liked it, but I went through the entire bottle in two weeks because I couldn't keep it in. I guess its great if you want to test color.
