I've been coloring my own hair for 12 years and this was the very first time I didn't end up with color on my shoulders -- or ruin a shirt or bra! It is waterproof, so on a hot day it doesn't "breathe"....but you're going in the shower to rinse out anyway, right?

The cape makes the coloring process so much easier. I have used old t-shirts or a towel in the past. The cape makes it so much nicer and really does protect your clothes. Also it is easy to clean just wipe off with damp cloth. I would highly recommend the cape well worth it.
