Coarse and damages hairI followed the directions very carefully, including the "very important final step" of massaging my scalp with leftover color mixed with water for 2-3 minutes in the shower. When doing so, the smell was overwhelming; it made me cough and it made my eyes water. The texture of my hair after washing with the shampoo and using the conditioner can only be described as damaged, coarse and straw-like. I am very disappointed in the condition of my hair following the application of this hair color. didn't feel "customized"as you can see, my roots are darker than the rest of my hair. i wanted an all over, one color look, but the colors sent to me for roots and ends were the same color, and now my roots are still darker. didn't feel like a customized color process after all was said and done. i really like the color my ends came out, but i'm highly disappointed with the roots. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Too DarkHello, The color ended up being to dark in comparison to the rest of my hair and created an obvious separation of the new roots and my fading highlights it didn't blend in naturally. Also after washing it the tone turned really red, and in pictures my hair looked burgundy.
