Not enough red.I will start by saying that I do love the shampoo and conditioner that comes with the dye!! However, this last order that I received has turned out to be a bit of a disappointment for me. My hair color is more brown than I like. The first kit that I received had the "top coat?" And that seemed to make my hair a brighter red. That is more along the color that I am looking for. Nothing specialI don't love not hate my new color I did want it more golden for a warmer chocolate brown and it's not and it isn't shiny my main concern is the texture of my hair is now coarse and gummy feeling at same Time..customer service was good just wish I loved the product 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Wanted to love it!The hot roots were killer. I went back to Umberto when my sweet husband sweetly told me that the top of my head was a bright light orange color in the sun. Not a good look. Good color but be carefulI loved my color but soon after using this my hair began to fall out. I thought it was other things and tried to remedy it. But it has continued and nothing seems to help. Matte Ash Brown = REDthe color was standard do at home hair color. I was pleasantly surprised that I didnt need both entire bottles as I usually use two packages of color because I have a LOT of hair. however, the color was not at all as expected. I dont know if the browns have lightener in them or what, but I was trying to go slightly darker and ashier than my normal hair color and instead went slightly lighter and with very red undertones. There's nothing "ash" about this color! Very disappointing. The dye itself was also very drying for my hair and there wasn't nearly enough conditioner in the little packet to re-moisturize, so I ended up having to do a deep conditioning mask to re-moisturize my hair and make it back to normal. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. It's a two person job / go to a professionalI ordered a color slightly redder than what I was originally and I ended up with red roots and dark brown lengths it was a mess and it being a holiday weekend I had to go buy another color to cover it. I guess if you have someone to help you "paint" your roots it may work better. But I have shoulder length hair and a lot of it so doing just my roots and seeing that the back was properly covered was impossible. And I did follow the directions exactly and I did contact them about the horrible turnout they responded within a day, but it being a weekend I had places to be and couldn't wait for their reponse and then them telling me they'd needed pictures I am assuming so they could send me a fix for the issue, like I said I wasn't going to walk around looking like a skunk so a trip to Rite Aid was all I could do to fix it. I am extremely disappointed as I've seen so many youtubers rave about this product but then again they are sponsored, and if they'd had a similar issue to mine they could have had it fixed even professionally and gone on with their video saying how amazing it is. I guess there is a reason none of them stick with it and all the ones I've watched go back to the professionals after one use. It's also very messy. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Color started out great, then faded. Customer support faded, tooI was really nervous at first, being that I was new at coloring my hair and I was going from blonde to mahogany. The resulting color was stunning! The instructions were spot on (follow them to the tee and you won't be disappointed!) and easy to follow. Unfortunately, by the end of 2 weeks, the ends of my hair (a chin length bob) had begun to fade. By the end of 6 weeks (the time I'd chosen between colorings) my stunning mahogany on my ends and the middle had gone to a lifeless medium brown. OK, so I expected the recoloring to fix this. After following the instructions given in my first recoloring, my faded ends remained, and were even more visible now in that my roots had been revived to the beautiful mahogany. I contacted customer service, who asked me to send pictures, which I did. I immediately received an email confirming receipt of my pictures, saying someone would be "reformulating my color". Huh?
