Not the sameI’ve been using the same color for about 1.5 years and have been very pleased with the results. The last order I received and applied in November seemed to wash out at the roots within a week. I have dark hair and a few grays that are noticeable at the top roots. Not sure why the color didn’t stick around this time around, as I applied the same as in the past. I finally look like me againI have always gotten compliments on my hair color. But when my color started fading with age and the grays started to take over it looked so drab. I tried getting my hair colored at salons but I never really thought it looked like me. eSalon fixed that. Great color but harshThe fact that I can have a custom color just for me is amazing. The choices are great and the customer service is, too. There's a real human being on the other end, helping you choose just the right shade. I love the kit - the gloves are sturdy, the stain remover works well, the instructions are easy to follow. However, this dye has a ridiculously strong ammonia smell that takes your breath away and doesn't last on my hair any longer than any store bought product I've tried. In fact, other brands leave my hair feeling softer and healthier than eSalon. The shampoo and conditioner feel very basic and cheap and do nothing except wash out the dye. I very much wanted to love this product but I just don't. For about the same price, or even cheaper, I can use store bought products that will leave my hair feeling less like straw and smell far better. 29 of 32 people found this review helpful. Did you? |

Not quite salon quality but...This color is great but after about 4 weeks, gets a little brassy (even though I use an ash tone). That’s about The time I need to retouch it again anyway. 1st Time , nope 2nd times a charm!!When I dye my hair when it's first done usually the first Month it has a very pretty shine and vibrant color to it. The color I was sent was very dull and did not feel good about it like I normally would when u first get ur hair done and u have a nice new color. And want to show it off.,,, But I just told one of the colorist my problem and they changed my color so the second time I dyed it I was happy with the results a nice pretty color that I was originally looking for I still feel like I might need a conditioning treatment of some kind to get some shine back in my hair but overall I'm happy. 156 of 165 people found this review helpful.
