Less is more with these highlights. The color is very inconsistent. Some highlights are barely visible while large chunks of them are bright orange. Not sure I can wait for my next color to fix this.

I have a short pixie cut and the video instructions were for longer hair... I was scared going in.. did not leave it in very long for fear of doing it wrong! Results were very red!

I applied this product today, the instructions and results were as promised
I tried the light set yesterday, and wow was it great (5 stars all the way). It was so natural-looking, maybe even the best hair color ever. I am a tough critic when I see a good product you will now.
I was super excited to try my new light set. I followed the instructions to a T, particularly the amount of time needed to make it work. I wasn't expecting anything dramatic but the effect is hardly noticeable at all. Very disappointing after spending the best part of two hours putting in the lights and doing the two rounds of hair wash

Lightened up great! I needed more tho, I ran about 1 or 2 stripes short. I used on wet hair and it only took half the time and it was super gentle on my dry hair!
I 💘 this and will NEVER PAY SALON PRICES AGAIN.

I had to wait a bit, for my old color (from Hair Salon Color) to grow out a bit, to use this light set kit. It was worth the wait. so very happy there is "movement" to my more natural (darker) color...

The highlights go well with overall hair color. Easy to use. Will reorder
I love this light set. It was gentle on my hair and gave me a beautiful caramel dimension. I now have a lovely warm colour to my hair and I absolutely love it!! I couldn’t be more pleased with my color from eSalon and their professional and responsive service. After a few adjustments, my color is what I’d get at a salon and it lasts, unlike over-the-counter hair color products. As a plus, they give superb directions and all the supplies needed to help you be successful with coloring at home. A+++ for me!

simple and nice to use. Toning wash helps make it blend in nicely
I absolutely love this color! Not only does it go on easily, but it is a perfect color for me. I was a little hesitant to try The Light set, but I'm so glad I did. Don't hesitate to try something a bit different girls!

Make sure to separate the hair you want to lighten in order to give good highlights don’t make the mistake some people make by lightning all of the hair and not having highlights.

Not enough mixture to highlight your full head

There is not way this one bowl will highlight my hair. I was only able to highlight my lower and middle section...I don't have enough formula to highlight my top layer. I followed the directions and only did think strips 1 inch wide and made sure the whole strand was saturated to the tip. There is just not enough here to do your whole head according to these directions. It would have been nice if my colorist saw my photos and how long my hair is and advised I got a second (or third) box so I could highlight my hair in one sweep. I will need to order 2 more sets in order to finish properly. I'm pretty disappointed.

Not good for first time highlights. It turned my head orange and red. Toner creme was purple and only tones yellow tones out. Need blue toner creme to work. Plus I had to go to sally beauty to get a toner to fix it. Still orange but not as bad.

I can’t help but regret the money I have spent at salons trying to achieve the results I-with the help of my husband on the back section, God bless him—achieved with eSalon’s light brown base color and this light set. I’m beyond impressed.

once you get the mix to the right fluidity thickness it is easy to put on but you have to be fairly quick as it dries out quicker in warm weather. Easy to apply and the shimmering tone is just perfect

I don't know if I left product on too long (don't think so), but when the process was completed my hair hilites were a brassy coppery orangey color. Hated it !!

Light Set was great! Made my hair come out just right! Was worried about it since my hair is so short. I applied it with my fingers since my hair was almost too short for the brush.
As I have short layered hair I don’t find this easy to do myself. But I didn’t make a bad job of it in the end. It certainly gives your hair colour a lift and the highlights blended well. Left my hair in great condition Will probably only use this product occasionally not every time I colour my roots.

Worked out great - loved the flexibility of being able to "freestyle" the highlights!
The light set is easy to use and the video does a good job explaining how to achieve highlights. But the mask does not tone hair enough. I used the mask twice and my highlights where still VERY brassy. I had to use a separate toner to achieve the look I was going for.

This is the best! so easy to use and results were perfect! The only set back is if you have thick and long hair like i do, you will run short on the amount. I ran out, But I will order again it still came out great just with less highlights than I would have preferred.

What a wonderful kit! Everything we need and easy-to-follow instructions along with it! Even on my first try, I was very happy with the highlights it provided.
I always wanted to do my own highlights because they're so expensive in the salon but never thought I could do it because it looked too difficult. It was much easier than I imagined and way less messy. I got immediate compliments on them and no one could believe I did it myself
This was much harder than the basic colour as the colour itself is much thicker. A nervous first application of just a few strands made me realise the colour was excellent and it wasn't as hard as I thought. I do wish that it was possible to have a trial go first as highlights can be tricky. Anyway I got there and will do it better next time.
