This product keeps my hair vibrant until my next color appointment! However, it needs new packaging - it leaks out EVERYWHERE when the cap is closed. The consistency is just too thin too be in this type of bottle.

I bought this in the hope that it would neutralise any red tones that appeared after using the 'light brown' dye. Unfortunately, my hair is a distinctly reddish shade. I actually caught sight of myself in a window this morning and winced at my hair colour :( I gave it two stars as it smells nice and my hair is quite shiny after using it, but I don't think it really works on the redness...

Leaves residue on everything after using AND after shampoo hair as usual until it all finally rinses out. No noticeable shine, color boost or tint after using for 30 days 2 weeks after new color and after retouch root coloring.

Unfortunately, I will not be using this product. I added it to my order after my last (second) shipment and did not cancel the third order in time to not receive the product. I have light brown hair right now & my natural color is a medium/light blonde. I’ve died my hair so many different colors in the past & ive died it different reds so now whenever I die my hair it always fades into a light brown with a gold/orange look which I hate. I’ve tried blue toner shampoos for brown died hair but they don’t work for me & seems like they dry out my hair. I decided to try this product because I’ve seen good reviews & ive watched videos about it on YouTube. So I shampooed my hair in the shower like normal then I used this product & left it in for maybe 5 minutes rinsed it out put my regular conditioner & I even used the weekly retreat masque after but now my hair looks like it somehow lightened & now looks dark blonde I’m not sure how that was possible but I’m going to try again next wash day maybe without using the masque after.

I was recommended this to help even out and blend my highlights after using the esalon light set as I had 2 very blonde streaks in my hair which looked really random with my brown hair. I’ve used it a few times and the blonde streaks are still very blonde and I have not noticed much of a difference. It might work for someone else but it didn’t work for me.

My hair medium brown hair turned orange from the eSalon Light Set. Seriously, it turned NEON ORANGE. eSalon recommended I try Light Set again and pair it with the balancing Tint Rinse. I foolishly trusted the eSalon rep and tried it again.
Well, my hair turned orange again and the purple Tint Rinse did absolutely nothing for me. I used it several times, and all it did was foam up into a huge lather that seriously dried out my hair. My hair is a hideous bright orange and damaged and I'm so sad.
Here's the worst part!!
eSalon would not honor their 100% money back guarantee for me. Be careful with this company, they hide the fact that they only offer 1 refund per customer in the fine print. But that won't stop their representatives from encouraging you to buy MORE products to fix your hair, and then when that doesn't work, they will deny you a refund. Buyer beware!! I will never shop from eSalon again.
All I can do is hope someone who reads this will learn from my mistakes and save their hair from the damage and embarrassment I am going through by not purchasing the eSalon Light Set or Tint Rinse.

I've used the rinse 4 times now since receiving it and can't say that I see any difference to my hair. Perhaps my curls are just too dark to have a golden glow? I may try a different shade, but the gold was invisible on my head.

I really wanted to love this product and hoped it would help to keep my colour bright between colouring sessions. I was really disappointed that I saw no change in the colour but worse, the condition of my hair has changed drastically for the worse since using it. My hair had always been strong but this left it so dry and knotty, it's broken quite badly at the crown and several inches down so I have noticeable short pieces that weren't there before. Having very long hair, this is quite upsetting as they're going to take so long to grow out.

I dyed my hair copper from esalon and have used this tint rinse 4 times in between dyes. This always leaves my hair color spotty and uneven. I love the idea of this product which is why I kept trying it to see if it was a user error. But I have stopped using it because it looks really uneven.

I previously tried a lighter shade if tint rinse but it didn’t really do anything. I thought I’d maybe chosen the wrong tint colour and ordered this one instead. The tint rinse has a lovely thick lather, but sadly it has dried my hair out quite badly 😢. I used a hair mask afterwards for a deep condition, but my ends are still quite dry.

While it does make my hair feel silky, I don't see the effect of toning the brassiness out of my hair. Also, the next day my hair feels waxy. It only on the days after I use the tint rinse.

Thought this would be great after reading all the reviews as it’s highly rated. After using my hair feels dry and still with a fair bit of warmth. Will keep using to see if it eventually works after using a couple more times and maybe use a mask after it to see if it help with the dryness.

Love the color but it’s too strong for my hair made my hair really dry had to do extra hot oil treatment along with mask and conditioner. Although my hair are healthy. I’m afraid to use it again to try one more time less time, but don’t want to take chances.

Did absolutely nothing for my brassy hair

After reading the reviews, I had really high hopes for this product. It seems that most people who used it were using it for the same reason I wanted to try it - brassiness that develops over time with color treated brown hair. I will say that I have quite a lot of grey hair, so maybe that’s why it’s turning brassy, but it’s something that I’ve been struggling with for a couple of years. My hair is light-medium brown with some lowlights, and it seems to just pick up a lot of red undertones. I’d much prefer ash or cool undertones with my skin color. So, when I saw this product I was super excited thinking it’s just what I’ve been looking for - since I’ve pretty much tried everything else, with little success. Nope. I even left it on for 30 minutes. This is just another failed product for me. I did reach out to customer service, and I can return it - minus the shipping cost to mail it back. They encouraged me to try the red neutralizer (this review is specifically for the soft red neutralizer) but I’m not sure I’ll waste the time and money to try another product that I have little hope will work. Overall, I’m disappointed as I really wanted this to work. I’m giving it two stars instead of one because my hair does feel pretty soft after using this 3 times now, though no change in color.

So sitting it on it's head with bottle closed and it all leaked everywhere so the bottle itself is crappy. It didn't seem to add a lot of color just very light. No one could notice it unless I pointed it out and then I think they were just being nice. It did stain my tub took a lot of elbow grease to remove the strain cuz like I said it spilled out all over the place overnight and I had a mess the next day.

I was hoping it'd at least blend the grays a bit, and maybe even darken the highlights temporarily. As far as I can tell - it did nothing. In fact I noticed an area of my hair, several inches from my roots down, that actually looks gray now! I don't know if that is because of the tint rinse or something else, but it definitely didn't help :(

This made my hair super soft and silky. It smelled wonderful but it didn’t do anything to change my hair color or add anything to it. I tried it twice, last time longer than first and it didn’t do anything. I’ll keep using it because it makes my hair so soft but it just may not work for everyone.

Great reviews for this product; but I've used it two shampoos in a row and am not seeing any change to the unwanted red tones in my hair. Also, I'm not sure what happens in the shower with this product; but after both uses, my hair is very tangled and hard to comb through. While I will probably keep the product and may continue to use it, I don't see me re-purchasing.
