My hair is slightly brassy after going back natural(dark brown) after the prior balayage fading through. I left this product on my hair for about 4 minutes and it didn't make a different.
It's a little messy because it's a dark color so I had to make sure to clean off of the tub so it doesn't stain. Oh and it kinda changed the color of the gel polish on my nails.
Wish it would have worked.... going to have to use a toner or an Ash color to go over one more time.

I had difficulty keeping the color together. I shook it but it still remained separated. The color worked somewhat but not as strong in outcome as I would expect.

I have medium brown hair. When I color my grey roots, it tends to grab any red, even with ash colors. I bought this to get rid of the red. Used it 3 times and it didn't change a thing. 1 star is for eSalon refunding me the purchase price.

I used the red Neutralizer to tone down the red in my brown hair. I used the product as directed and didn't notice any change, tried a second time leaving it on a bit longer my hair got a bit darker muddy shade and I could still see some red tones. I didn't find this product useful the result was not what I was looking for .

I bought this to counter some really copper red colors my hair had turned into after my burgundy red had faded. I have dark brown hair and had a burgundy red bayalage in which my hair was lightened to get the color wanted. After the wine red color faded, it turned to a copper red color. So i bought this to counter that. On the cherry blonde parts (pieces where the red didn't originally take as much and faded quickly) it definitely turned Ash brown but didn't do much for neutralizing the copper red color to a cooler, ashy color. I had high hopes after ellebangs reviewed it, but I was disappointed in the end. I'v used it twice so far, so I'll keep using and building the toner so hopefully that does the trick.
Edit: I was contacted by eSalon to maybe try a different product, and I'm so glad they did! I tried red neutralizer and it worked partially, in that it turned part of my hair ash brown and the other parts remained a copper red color. So I ordered chocolate brown and dark brown instead. I mixed the 2 and FINALLY my the copper red was gone! I love both the chocolate brown and dark brown color. I use them both periodically to maintain my color.

Seriously dried out my fine, curly, light/med. golden hair,(color, over grey/white) hair,felt like using a sodium laurel sulfate shampoo,and the color was more beige, than bright golden, like i was hoping. Threw away, after 1 use. Got a good intro offer,on it so didn't return. Was so hoping would be a keeper.

I had moderate hopes as I know this wouldn't be a miracle but it didn't do anything to my brassy reddish brown hair, it actually made some of my lighter parts more orange looking? Maybe I should have got the blonde neutralizer for my balayage instead, I may try that next

I would like the mahogany red highlights with shimmer of blond to remain vibrant. But a week in a half my hair looks washed out and color gets lighter and fades?

should have listened to all of the horrible reviews. I guess I was just hoping that all of the bad things would not be the case with me. I was wrong.
After rinsing out of my hair a HUGE glob of hair came out...huge! That is not normal for me at all after I wash my hair. it actually made me cry and I was too scared to even comb my hair afterward because I was too scared more was going to come out. It also made my hair REALLy dry. I used a conditioner, a conditioning mask, and leave in hair conditioner afterwards, and my hair looks completely fried. .
There was also not a hint of a benefit from this. I wish I never bought it. All of the negative reviews are real, and this should not be for sale anymore.

I hate saying this because this is the first product I'm no obsessed with. It smells amazing, but it really did not change anything for me. I colored my hair red in the past, but have covered it several times with shades (usually neutral) of brown and the red is more prominent than ever. 😭

My hair was recently colored at a salon. I didn't like the vibrant orange undertones. I purchased this product to reduce this and I used it twice a week. I do not notice any improvement. I am no longer using this product because it didn't do anything.

The golden color enhancer worked great for refreshing my color. I even got a compliment on my color asher using it. The formula is too thin. Wish it was thicker. It was difficult holding it in my hand before putting on my hair. Also, it comes of the bottle very quickly because it's thin. The product got all over my white bathroom stand and stained it just like hair dye. It needs a different type of bottle.

My hair is naturally medium ash brown. I occasionally put ash brown color on it to cover gray, and after a few weeks, the red tones creep in. I purchased the red neutralizer in hopes of restoring my natural ash brown without recoloring. I followed the directions exactly as printed on the bottle. The results were as follows: no reduction in red tones, my hair was left with an unpleasant smell, and it was super dry hair. I had high hopes for this product and am very disappointed that it did not work.

The idea is great, and I think I could see a tiny color change after two uses. The problem was I wanted something that would add not only color but also shine and leave my hair healthy looking, and this product COMPLETELY stripped any health it had, leaving it dry, crunchy, knotty, and breaking. Even getting highlights didn't damage my hair this badly. Some people may not have minded but I had JUST gotten a 180 dollar keratin treatment and it completely ruined it. Since it was just supposed to deposit color I didn't think it would have any cleaning agents, and I always go sulfate free, and it wasn't until after I realized it has sodium chloride that will ruin your hair. I just don't understand why you'd even put that in there, it's not a shampoo! So I was very disappointed. If there was something like this but without any damaging chemicals and that would more or less deep condition my hair and leave a tint, I'd definitely try it, but never again with this. My hair has never been in worse condition and my money was wasted from my keratin treatment.

Should I use the stronger one? I have a brazilian blowout every 3 to 4 months and then I got highlights. I hear Brazilians fade color, but I need my brazilians. I am going to stop highlighting but I have to cover the red and gray

(It's not going to work the same for everyone) I called customer service and the person I spoke with was extremely helpful and suggested a different product, based on my results with Tinted Love. She offered to send it out at no charge. (or I could have a refund). I could tell she sincerely wanted to help me solve my hair issue, so I opted to try the product she suggested.. This product was for refreshing my color in between colorings, it didn't do anything to freshen my color. It is very messy and stained my white shower. The only. Ice thing about this is that my hair felt really healthy after using this. I tried twice, left it on longer the second time but unfortunately that didn't work either.

It dry and damage my hair as if using a hair bleach. This is a color shampoo. Did not neutralizer the red brass, only yellow and orange, but came off on the next hair wash. Will not buy again.

Not thrilled at the moment. I have naturally golden strawberry blonde. I used the copper (in small amounts) to bring out my red. Instead it did not evenly spread throughout my hair although I make sure it's all throughout. So as of right now I have random pink clumps of hair......

I was hoping that this product would help prolong the need to color so frequently to cover the grays and to keep my color, but it does nothing to cover the grays and it turns my hair red. :(

The color Enhancing Treatment has not made a measurable difference for me. I have used it every other time I wash my hair, and it is just an extra step that doesn't seem to be any different. Maybe as more of my gray grows in, this will help cover it, so I will continue using it for now.

I used this product for the first and last time. It is very watery and difficult to apply. I took care in trying to get an even distribution, but was left with a streaky result. The places where the tint took are coarse and frizzy. Luckily, this product is only semipermanent. I read a lot of the reviews prior to purchase, but unfortunately gave the product the benefit of a doubt. I have asked for a refund.

I have medium brown colored hair, with red/warm tones, which I wanted to rid off. The Red neutralizer, worked quite well. It doesn't neutralize the warm tone completely but is effective enough, at least the most effective over the counter toner I have used. That's the good part. However, it has a few problems that made it unusable for me, and I'm not going to repurchase because:
1) If you only get one thing from this review get this: This will stain the porcelain of your bathtub/shower instantly. It leaves a grey stain on the porcelain that doesn't come off with only water, you have to scrub it. This is not a problem in the black porcelain used in salons, of course, but if it touches the withe porcelain in your bathroom it's going to stain A LOT, and it's very annoying. I've been dying my hair at home since 14, and I know that you've got to be careful with dye staining the bathtub, but this is ridiculous, stains more than any dye I've ever used, and for me, it makes it not worth it to use at home.
2) It will stain your nails black, as any other dye. So you have to use gloves.
3) Used after shampoo, for me, the result is uneven: used as directed my hair gets quite tangled righ after shampoo and I noticed that the color didn't go on evenly. The second time I skipped the shampoo and applied it in damp detangled hair with better result.
4) In my case, I had to use it in every wash for the results to show, and it gets hair noticeably darker.
It does what it says, gets rid of red/warm tones in brown hair, not completely though, but is effective enough. The problem is that it is a hassle to use at home, and forget to use it as a normal shampoo, it stains the porcelain like crazy, you have to use gloves and you absolutely have to detangle your hair very well before using it.
I would recommend it for use in the salon, but not at home.

I got this in replacement of the Color Enhancing Mask, wanting to compare the two. I loved the mask, so I was hoping I'd love this too. The mask made my hair very soft, and that's one of the things I was hoping would stay the same with this, but alas it did not do it for me. I bought this after viewing the Ellebangs youtube video showing the wonderful job it does to dull or banish orange/red/brassiness for brunettes. THIS DID NOTHING---actually it did do two things. The very tip of my roots are now black (I colored 9 days ago). Secondly, the full length of all of my gray hair is now visible and shiny-almost white. It is not just the gray in the new growth but all of the gray I've been coloring for years has been scrubbed of any color. After contacting eSalon it was recommended to just wash it out as this is not a permanent color. Well the tips are a little less dark but my gray is void of any color. Not only am I stuck with this red/orange brassy mess but my gray is just blazing out there. SO DISAPPOINTED.

I like that it's easy to use and takes no extra time in the shower, but I'm not sure if it's enhancing my colour. Therefore as it's quite pricey, I can't say it's worth the money.

Not as good as the ad stated. Needs to be improved.

I didn't notice any change bad or good. But it did leave my hair very soft

Left too much red color

This morning I used this for first time and my hair came out too reddish orange, not happy about it. My color is great so I'm not sure how to get this to fade out faster than a few days.... I will try washing it tonight to see if the red fades. I have the copper tint and it may have been too much :(

It does colour up roots but honestly? Id rather just manage my esalon colour frequency to ensure i dont have glaring gaps when my roots are a problem.the shade of this root enhanc err is far too brassy for me

I only used this product once. It does brighten your hair, but it left my hair feeling damaged. I did not want to use again after that.
