I had just dyed my hair red a week ago and when I used the Tint Rinse it made my hair brown and took away all of the bright red I had just paid for. I am very upset that this happened.

I'm not sure this product actually does anything for my hair. It's pretty when it comes out of the bottle, kinda glittery. And I like that it doesn't stain my hands. But I can't tell that it makes a difference, and for the price I don't really think it's worth it to purchase again.

Maybe I was expecting too much when I purchased this. I've only used it a couple of times so far and I did not notice much difference in the color being boosted or extra shine. I will continue to use it twice a week as recommended and see if I change my opinion.

I purchased the red neutralizer to try to dull how brassy my undertones in my dark brown hair. This product does NOT work. It literally did nothing to my hair. It didn’t change anything, besides making my hair dry. Don’t waste your time.

I appreciated eSalon's prompt effort to correct a bad color experience, and the tint rinse arrived 48 hours later, however it did not tone down the orange hair or correct the problem. I did have to go into a salon to have a color correction treatment done. I learned that color by mail order just is too risky for me despite the friendly and prompt service from Salon.

I got this product because I thought it would put color in my hair, I have previously bleached hair and there's a 0% difference after I use it. My hair looks completely the same color and I wasted my money on this because all the reviews were really good but it didnt work at all, I followed the instructions. It's a waste of money I advise no one to waste their money on this terrible product.

The product absolutely works to tone brassiness out of light brown hair but it is incredibly drying. My hair is thin and fine and after the treatment it felt as though my hair would break. I would recommend a very deep conditioning treatment before and after use.

The color rinse is good in that it adds color nicely, but I found the formula drying. It is more of a second shampoo and I expected a condition. So, perhaps it was out of sync with expectation. But, like with all eSalon items, the quality is top notch and the customer service is exceptional.

I've been using this weekly since September. I can't say I notice any difference after use. It does have a nice lather, but although it is a rich copper color coming from the tube, no color is left in the tub, on my hands or body, and the lather is pure white.

I literally had to buy a bathmat in order to use this. The first time I used it was positively scary. It was so slippery on the bottom of the shower. I had to hold onto the walls to get out.

I wish this worked for me. The color/level of tint is fine, but I don't like the way it makes my hair feel (like there's a sticky residue all over my head that I can't rinse out..). I've used it a handful of times, thinking maybe there was something I could do differently, but there isn't.

I purchased this tint rinse because I wanted to balance the warm tones in my light brown hair. I dyed my naturally brown hair a very bright red color and maintained it for about 7 months before I decided to dye over the red in an attempt to return to a tone as close as possible to my natural hair color. As the brown hair dye has started to fade, my hair has become very warm and brassy again. So I decided to try this product. After using this tint rinse three times, I haven't noticed any difference. Maybe if you used multiple bottles of this, you would start to see a change but I'm hesitant to purchase it again because I feel like there's a good chance it will continue to be a complete waste of time and money.

Ok so let me start by saying I did not use this product to just revitalize color. I used this product with intention to completely change my hair color for Halloween. I am a natural medium to light range brunette with a lot of blonde balayage all the way to my roots. I think if you wanted to use this product to increase time between coloring it would work beautifully.
Application: the application is not as simple as shampoo it into your hair and be done. If you do it this way, it will be spotty. I recommend getting your hair wet, not dripping wet, and then standing in front of the mirror and applying it generously in sections. (I have a lot of fine, porous hair). I also left it in for a lot longer than 3 minutes as directed. For a completely different hair color as I intended, I used almost the entire bottle and it was still patchy in some areas.
Residue: this product will NOT stain your skin at all. I used my hands to apply it and it only stained under my finger nails a little bit. It does transfer when wet but not at all once it's dry. Use an old towel if it makes you feel better but it will come out in the wash. (I used an old white towel and bleached it and there is no trace of red anywhere)
Aftermath: I have washed my hair 4 times now. I have used gentle clarifying shampoos to help speed the process but it is already 70-80% completely out of my hair. If you want this product for its intended use I can see how some of the reviews say it does not last long enough. However, since I just wanted to be a red head for a night, I am happy with how fast it is washing out.
Overall it is not an expensive product and I feel like it is worth a try. I gave three stars because there are faults with the product but overall it wasn't below average.

I tried it for the first time yesterday. Put it on for 5-7 mins vs the 2-3 mins recommended but still did not see much results. The only thing I noticed was that my black roots blend in better with the rest of my brown dyed hair. Maybe I need to use more, keep it on longer or use multiple times to see results. But that makes things a lot less convenient and besides it’s wont be worth all the trouble for a temporary result as others here have said the results last only 3-4 washes. So not very thrilled about the results.

Sooooo I had a nice balayage that was medium brown and light ash blonde... my brown turned orange so I used this to fix that problem. It helped my brown... HOWEVER, my blonde looks warm and not pretty and bright anymore. I didn’t expect it to ruin my blonde :( sad.. I don’t know what to do now

I have medium brown hair at the roots to light brown at the tips (all dyed) my last hair color job was starting to turn reddish at the top and brassy towards the lighter brown, so I bought this. Sadly, it did not neutralize it one bit, and I used it twice just in case. It did, however, add amazingly beautiful shine to my hair, so not a total loss in my book. I'm debating if I should try the dark brown, but the shipping does take about a week.

I've used this twice a week since I applied the initial color and I can't see any difference after I do it. The color has faded dramatically since I applied it. Overall, I don't think the tint rinse is doing anything and is more of a pain in the butt to weave into the routine.

I am so bummed! I saw a YouTube video about this product and read the reviews for it online. Everything indicated that this product Is amazing for toning down red hair. I have naturally brown hair that was dyed red a while ago. Now my hair is a reddish brown color. I used a nice amount of this product and left it on my hair for the recommended time. Not only did the color not change whatsoever, my hair now feels rough and tangled. I'm so sad because everyone online says how great this product was and I couldn't wait to try it.

I tried this tint rinse after the “soft red” neutralizer didn’t show any noticeable results. Unfortunately this one was the same- doesn’t help to get rid of brassy tones in my hair. I do love the smell and way it makes my hair so soft though.
