I used the Sun kissed Highlighting kit with this color. I was apprehensive about doing it, I really didn't want to have that platinum, fake blonde tint. I went for it, being quarantined and all, I could always shave my head if I hated it. But, WOW, what a great highlite. I am so thrilled with this process. My hair is so soft and shiney and a very Natural Blonde, that I was born with. Thank you so very much for putting out this fantastic product. I am overwhelmed with how well it came out. My sister and my best friend were happily surprised and very happy they didn't have to come and shave my head. Now, if I could just go somehwere and show it off, that would be great. Another time!! This was my first time ever coloring my own hair. My sister referred me to eSalon and I will admit, I was really skeptical about not only coloring my own hair for the first time, but ordering a product online that I had no experience with. It really made me nervous. I thought ‘what if my hair falls out, or what if it turns my hair blue?’. But I took the chance and I am really glad that I did. My hair color came out PERFECT! It was more than I could have ever expected. Directions are clear, the process is simple, and they asked me all the right questions. eSalon delivered the exact color I wanted!! I ordered and received my product in record time. Then I colored my hair as soon as the box came. My gray covered 100%, my hair feels fantastic, and my color looks amazing.
I had just colored my hair and I hated it so I came across an ad that I had saved on my Facebook page months ago from eSalon. I decided to order from eSalon thinking couldn't be better worse than I already had. It came quickly in the mail but I wasn't ready to color again yet because I didn't want to stress out my hair anymore than it was. Finally I colored it and I wasn't too sure of the color at first so I waited to put my review in. And from day one I got so many compliments on my hair color. I have a daughter that is a beautician that usually does my hair but she lives in another state and I can't always wait for her and this is the first time she ever !loved my hair the texture the color everything so I must say I recommend this wholeheartedly also, I waited for quite some time to give my review because I wanted to see how my hair did as far as time the color held for a long time and it actually I think is a prettier color as time goes on so I 100% I would recommend these products thank you.
So easy and closer to my natural hair color than my salon stylist!

Quarantine time!! I was a little worried about what I may get, but ordered the color I thought and then uploaded a picture so the stylist would be able to tweak. She tweaked, it came this week and today I did a root touch up and the end treatment. The online videos were great, as well as instructions, very helpful.
The color is wonderful, better than the color my normal salon stylist has picked - more like my natural color. I have a lot of gray hair, which have proven to be very resistant grays - I was also looking at Madison Reed and they had specific bland colors for resistant grays which had some poor reviews, while esalon seems to note all their colors as good for resistant grays and I didn't locate many bad reviews on gray coverage.
When I got the kit, I was worried about the amount of time for my coloring - should I add more time for my resistant grays, but I decided to go with their prescribed time (20 for roots and additional 5 for ends). My grays were completely covered, with this wonderful brown color.
I'm very pleased!
This was my first experience at coloring my own grays. Loved the color and coworkers noticed also-positively. I am very pleased with the results. I may need to tone it a bit. The product odor was strong but not unbearable. I used a brush but may try the bottle next time. Also loved the shampoo/conditioner. My hair felt smooth and had such glossy shine (I have curly hair but wore it straight). Thank you!!
I am very light blonde and have been only going to high end salons. With quarantine I have to colour at home now, which I have never done. The colour is perfect.....just as good as a $300 colour from the salon!!!!! So happy! After covid is done, I will likely stick with this!!!!!
Color looks great, not too dark and NO BRASS! Slightly Auburn tint to area that has never been colored but I like it. The only way to get my hair to color without any red at all is to bleach, then color, which eats my thin hair to bits.
Instructions were great, truly appreciated the stuff for the ends...they don't look over colored at all.

I love the concept and convenience of this company! No more worrying if my color will be in stock or running out of gloves or developer. My hair is thick and coarse and curly. At first I was worried there wasn’t enough color in the bottle, but it was the perfect amount. As long as I color my hair, I will use this product. My hair feels great, the subtle color differences make it look so much more natural, and it’s worth the price difference for the convenience and the confidence.
This was so easy and everyone loved the color. I got more compliments than when I went to the salon! I had two friends that have also ordered and they should be receiving theirs soon. Happy Customer I am going to order again as soon as I get done with my review!
I was very nervous to color my own roots, but no need to have worried! The color match was perfect as I had sent a pic along with my order. The back roots were a little difficult to color but that’s just my not being coordinated enough.
All in all I would highly recommend giving this a try!
This produce exceeded expectations. Non damaging volume with an exact color match. Left my hair shiny with grey roots covered with golden brown color and absolutely no line between my old and new color. Easy to do. Goodby expensive salon. Recommending it to all my friends.
I am so happy I found eSalon. They helped me choose a flattering color and the kit arrived with easy to follow instructions. I was a bit concerned because I have very sensitive skin and have sometimes ended up with blisters from harsh hair coloring chemicals. But I used the barrier cream they provided and I had no skin issues at all. I improvised with chip-clips to part my hair into four chunks to apply the dye. I started off nice and carefully but to be honest in the end I just gunked all the stuff in, squashed it around my hair and then washed it all out in the shower. I am really happy with the result, the colour is nice, it has lasted a long time and my hair feels really soft. Probably because I no longer bother to blow dry or style it since I am not going anywhere. But I wasn't ready to face my grey hair, so eSalon to the rescue!
I have been using expensive salons for years and was never really happy with my color. No matter who I went to, the color always came out with red tint, which I hate. During the quarantine, I decided to try eSalon and I am SO GLAD I DID!! Never going back to a salon again. Thank you!!
Very happy with this color. Usually use Hair Cuttery but with the pandemic it was closed. Just told the survey that they use Redkin 7N and my hair highlights itself. Easy enough my husband could dye my hair for me.
I was truly amazed how the kit was fully loaded with everything you needed. The instructions were easy to follow and the outcome was beautiful. It still looks great.
This last round of color was absolutely what I asked for! I am beyond happy with it! I also appreciate being asked if I wanted to add the ends refresher bottle before it was shipped to make sure I was getting what I needed to get to what I wanted. Something else that is really nice is that the prices for everything are right there in the open! I don't have to go through a long process to figure out "how much is this going to cost me?", since price is a big factor in why I chose what I do. I have been and will continue to encourage everyone to at least look into eSalon as an option! Love the site, love the color, love the process! Thank you
Product did exactly what I asked -- I had used a box dye that I liked and because of the different base color, my hair turned more of a purple than a red. I asked eSalon to help me tone down the purple and bring out the copper colors and they did a great job. It's still a little darker than I'd like, but I'll have to live with that for now. Color was easy to use and instructions were easy to follow.
Although the color looked almost black during the application, once rinsed, washed and styled the Medium Blond color was perfect. Had a friend help and it was super simple.

First time to do my own coloring. Viewed helpful videos several times, purchased the cape, tools and could not have been happier. Not sure if I will continue to do it myself but now I know I can when circumstances warrant doing it myself. Definitely will have it on hand and ready to use. Color perfect. Thank you!,

My hair color was way past due with all of the salons being closed. I decided to try esalon and I’m so glad I did. The color was perfect! I had to call and ask a question in the middle of the process and spoke to a stylist who was a tremendous help. Instructions that came with the product were clear but I needed to confirm something as I do not usually color my own hair. That might have just changed. Will see how long the color last bit this could be a lasting relationship. 😀 Love the packaging also❤️
I was very nervous about touching up my roots but decided to take the plunge and do it. It wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done but it turned out great! The color looks natural and spot on to the base color my hairdresser uses. Thank you, I'm ecstatic!
So I had tried Madison reed which turned my hair a horrible orange. I lightened it myself with wella toner and bleach which helped but left my hair soooo light. Wanted to go back to my natural dark blonde. This color nailed it! I was so relieved. Came super quick even during covid. Thank you e salon you’re the best!!!!
The color is fabulous! The grey coverage was perfect BUT I know to let it process longer if I have excessive grow out. I love the feel of my hair afterward! That being said, the blue did not take as I hoped it did. I had 2 days where I could see the blue in the daylight (that's what I wanted) and then it was gone. I even invested in color shampoo to go with the blue tint I was aiming for. I'm just waiting on a specialist now to see if they adjust the color.
I have colored my hair three times now and am surprised at how easy it has been! This is a great company doing a great job. I think the color is matched very closely, although not as blonde as I would like and that may be because I may need highlights again. I'm not sure. Overall, I am very happy.

The only other time I attempted to color my own hair was 20 years ago and the results were awful! After researching and watching many videos, I decided to try eSalon. I need to work on my technique with the lightening kit, but I am quite impressed with the results. The quality of the color may be better than what I usually get from the local salon so I'm very happy I decided to try it. My hair is so soft and shiny.
Now, if I could learn how to cut my own hair, I'd be ecstatic!

As a user of supermarket dye, I was hesitant about using this service as it is more expensive, however I thought I'd give it a go. The product looks lovely and I was excited to use it, I followed the instructions to the letter but my colour came out very dark, almost black in fact. After an email to customer service they not only offered me advice to lighten it but gave me a free colour. Now my hair is lightening, I can see the colour is lovely and much richer than a box dye. I'm confident that next time I'll get the results I'm after straight away. Happy customer!
I received my first colour package yesterday and was so excited to receive it! It came beautifully pacakaged with the colour, equipment and easy to follow instructions.
I had given my colour spec, as you do but also gave the stylist licence to tweak it according to my picture. I am so glad I did this as the final colour is just gorgeous. It applied easily and it felt like I had stepped out of a salon after. Thank you!!
Just wanted to say thank you. This was my first attempt at dying my own hair and I was very nervous. The instructions were easy to follow and the end result is just fantastic! I am very pleased with the colour your experts have put together for me. It was a little darker than I am used to but I love it and have had compliments.
I no longer have greys or dodgy roots instead a fabulous new colour that shines.
I think the products are of high quality and longer lasting than what I can buy at Target or Walmart. I am currently having a slight adjustment made to the color I originally ordered. Easy to do and very good communication overall.
I was very nervous about trying to color my roots at home as I had never done it before. The good new is that I was blown away by how easy the process was and how wonderful the results are! Esalon makes choosing the right color easy and accurate. The kit is personalized and includes everything you need to do the job, including gloves, shampoo, and conditioner in addition to the color.
Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The results were just as good as my expensive salon and I didn't need to change my color formula at all, It blended perfectly with my existing color.

Beautiful color and the condition of my hair is so much better than when I had it done in a salon. I told the colorist on the phone what I wanted and she was spot on with the formula!
This color kit was every bit as good as the color I get at my salon. There was no bad smell either. I’m ordering it again today! I will say it took over a week to ship though.
Love this customized color. The result was exactly the same as my experience at the salon. I think providing photos helped provide the colorists with valuable info for a perfect match. I’m on auto-delivery

I was very pleased with my color kit and the company generally. I have never ever colored my hair on my own before, I've always gone to salons. I completed the questionnaire and uploaded a photo. The colorist assigned to me emailed me to say that she thought I may have chosen to dark of a color and she was going to lighten it unless I objected - I didn't. I received the box - the packaging is super cute, pink inside with a poem on the cover when you open it. I loved how the products were labeled "Stacey's Color" and "Stacey's Instructions." The instructions were easy to follow. I went into this expecting the worse as it's not something I've ever done before but my hair came out really great!.....as good as my stylist (which I know sounds unbelievable but it's true). I highly recommend this company and product.

First time user -- I was a little anxious about the whole process. It is a challenge to get the back but doable. Somewhat messy and it did take me a long time to do my whole head but I'm sure I'll get quicker the more I do it. Super customer service and easy access to speak with a very helpful colorist. My hair is soft and shiny. Will definitely keep using this product especially since it's 1/3 the cost of going to a salon + no tip. I hope I'm as satisfied when I try doing my highlights.

All my color mixes have been excellent, and the customer service/attention to detail has been spectacular. I was especially impressed when a colorist reached out after I had trouble discerning which level my hair is (light brown, medium brown, etc.), because they thought my picture didn't quite match what I selected.
