Not really what I was hoping forHmm well I had very blonde ends on my top layer and a light brown on my underneath, because I dyed the underneath black about a year ago with almost white blond on top and just let it grow out for about a year and then a few months ago got a ash brown dyed and let it fade so that I could dye it this time to make the roots, underneath and blonde spots, would all be the same color... I told all this to the colorist and told her anything that would go good with my skin and even out all of my hair as long as it wasn't a gold base was fine and I was open to other color choices. But medium blonde was chosen. I have to say that I'm not impressed with the way it turned out. It's very very golden up at the roots and almost a gray at the tips. But the underlayer is way darker now and doesn't blend at all. I'm left with 3 tone Hair, even after I called to make sure it would all come out Even and beautiful and they said it should not problem with the color and formula they chose. But the worst part is with my very pale blue eyes and pale skin I look so dull, this dye had way to many golden tones for me. My goal was just even toned long healthy hair and this dye made my hair feel even my dry(more then a salon dye or even a few brands that I have tried at home) and tanglesome, I sure hope a few coconut oil masks candidate fix that. Followed instructions but roots were lifesaver candy colored.My neighbor, a salon owner, did follow the directions and color-processed in two stages as designed. Roots were a bright candy apple color so coupled up with the fact that I decided to have a great Keritin treatment I'll just have to go a different route- I've had friends who love the eSalon products but it is a difficult (red) hair color to make a product to match. Dried my hair ends really bad.This color did not do well on my hair. It really dried it out and is making it break. The color did not last long at all -- my edges are already turning back to gray. 1st time member opinionPleased with the cs via email. Did not notice any change to my color like I wanted/requested. It did cover roots & grey well, however color dramatically faded in a week even using color treated shampoo, etc. Modified 2nd color & hope that it works out and doesn't fade..That being said, CS replied in a timely manner & adjusted my color. Great packaging & received it shortly after receiving my shipment email notification.. I only gave 2 star ratings, simply because of how quick color faded and no difference in my color that I wanted.. However, pleased so far with everytging else & willing to give it a go again..The packaging, I give it a 5star.. Personalized, & love all contents inside. Too Brassy!!!This color had far too much brassiness and there was not enough color in the order to do my full head properly...My hair was naturally curly, medium thick and halfway down my back when I placed this very 1st order in August 2014...I have not colored my hair since this order and have hair cut to a "right over the shoulder" length...The color sent originally to me was TOO brassy...I needed a "Neutral" Light Brown...I had severe unrelated medical issues (2 Strokes) and therefore could not contact the company for a replacement at that time...I spent 1 year and a half in therapy to recover from the strokes...I would be willing to try this eSalon Color program again, the the right "Neutral" Light Brown, but am not going to pay for another failed color....If the right color works, I will gladly leave a 5 star positive feedback... 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Not vibrant at all! Fades very fast!I tried the esalon hair color. I thought the quiz to determine your color was way off on a lot of things. This will affect your end results. I tried the first color they sent. It faded out fast!! Much faster than drug store color. I gave a review on the color and stated that. They said they would alter the color for the next month. Not convinced color quality&healthiness, NOT shiny & nice smelling afteri did not see any evidence that the color was custom-made for me or a any healthier version of the store-bought colors (as their ad claims (stop buying generic colors...)). That was what I was looking for when I bought this color. My hair did not shine after coloring, which is very important for me. The conditioner did not smell nice. The color itself smelled terrible. I liked the skin protection cream before coloring. The after-color skin cleaner did not work well. Also, there was not enough hair conditioner provided to use until the next coloring (at least 4 weeks like L'Oreal does) - it was just one-time use. It would seem that the bottle leaked inside of the box..Do i have enough to dye my hair?.. will it not take ? .. First time--so soI was very optimistic about trying the hair color. I couldn't afford to pay my normal 200$ for my hair stylist so I thought I would give it a try. The packaging is amazing. Everything comes specifically labeled, and the instructions are incredibly detailed. I followed the instructions as said, and could not wait to blow dry to see the results. I am very disappointed. My roots hardly changed color, and the color itself is very dull. It does not look like I really colored except that it is a shade darker. I have had better results with the color mask and tinted love I ordered before. I was hoping for that glossy color that I usually get, but I didn't receive that. It's my natural color. What's the point?I came to e-salon to lighten my hair for the summer. After sending pictures and having many back-and-forths with the colorist, this was as light as she felt we could go. Well guess what? I won't be doing this againI was very specific with what color I wanted and the problems that I had with salon colors in the past (my hair takes color fast and deep and the copper color I wanted turns out burgundy when I get it professionally colored). The first time I had the same problem, so I reported it and asked for a reformulation. The second shipment, my color is EXACTLY the same as the first one. I can see no change at all and I am not happy with the color at all. I don't color all that often to keep my hair healthy, so I will be spending 4 month with a color I hate. Weird residue left on my hair.I love the color. But after using the shampoo and conditioner that came with it, I have a waxy, greasy residue left on parts of my hair. I have tried to wash it off with my own shampoo and conditioner and it won't budge. Very bad experience!I have used this product in the past and never had a bad experience. With the last order that I received, I was mortified to say the least! Upon rinsing it out of my hair, as soon as the water hit my hair, the product felt like it became wax. The more I tried to rinse it out, the worse it became. I called the representative and she told me it must have been residue left on my hair from my last coloring. Which I knew was not the case, because I have not colored my hair in over a year. And by the way, the color was esolon. Because of the service that I received over the phone from the representative, I decided to withdraw my subscription.
