Not so Great on my GraysI finally was able to color my hair with the product I purchased from eSalon. While I absolutely love the color, it did nothing for my grays. The first day right after coloring there were no grays, but now that it's been washed, they're visible. Custom Hair ColorI consider this company has poor service. I requested a change as advertised Response was given as if change was made. No product was sent until next scheduled shipment and it was not changed. I have stopped shipment of this product due to disappointment in false advertising. Disappointed!!!!When I change my color for this order, I wanted my hair blonde, lightest blonde I could get. Love the color but ...I love the color that I originally get from this product but it doesn't last long. I'm about 85% grey so it's hard for my hair to retain any color products. Like many other hair coloring products of various brands, I see tones of my color in the drain every time my hair gets wet. Not the right colourThe dye, at first, would not wash out and made my hair feel horrible. After washing my hair a few times it felt better but the colour looks the same as my natural hair colour (I ordered medium copper golden and my hair is light brown) and it is not even slightly redder, it is just duller. Copper results, want dark ash root cover.Tried this product for 18 months. It has easy to follow directions, it doesn't smell terrible, it looks shiny and covers the gray just the way I would like. BUT. It has literally turned my hair red. copper. orange. When the roots grow out...they are not red. Multiple color adjustments and Color Enhancing Treatment did not make much difference. I didn't actually complete an orderI was thinking about re-ordering hair color with the company, but never actually hit the order button. I wake up the next morning to an email saying my order is being processed. Sneaky tactic to just charge someone if they have an order in their cart. I will not be ordering from you again as you do not operate with integrity. The hair color itself is fine, but not worth $25. I purchased this product to try something different but since the product burned my scalp and the odor was overwhelming, I will not reorder and will go back to the previous company. However, if you must wear contact lenses and any product gets into your eyes, we advise removing your lenses before rinsing them. Hair color should not cause hair loss and we highly recommend consulting with your physician prior to coloring your hair again. Colorist changed my colorI am very disappointed. My root color was correct and used as directed. The color for my roots was not correct and when I asked they just told me I must have not followed the instructions. I read the instructions as I have been for the last 20 years I have been coloring my hair. When I looked at the formula they did for the roots and the ends I see they changed the formula for the ends without even stating it in the instructions. I am very discouraged. I loved the colors they sent prior, they looked natural. I hope my furture orders are correct. This next time I will definitely check the color formulas before I apply them. Nice colorI really do like the color that resulted from using esalon products, however, the application in itself is rather messy and tedious. I did not like having to color my roots first, wait 25 minutes, then put more color on the rest of my hair, leave on for 5 minutes, then put more color on once I'm in the shower. I have long hair, so it was MESSY. Also my hair was extremely dry afterwards. I used the enclosed conditioner and shampoo, which was not even close to being enough for my long hair. Also, I did the pre testing beforehand as stated in the usage booklet, with no issues. However, once I actually colored my entire head, it began to burn horribly when I started to wash it out in the shower. I don't know if a reaction occurred when the color combined with water, but it was awful. I really do like the overall, even color, but will not use this product again, it's just not worth the hassle and I'd rather not have my head burn when coloring it. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Leaves hair greasySecond time using this product and after 3 shampoos in the same day, during washing out color, my hair still felt greasy and nasty. I've followed my instructions and even used my own shampoo after using the kind provided. Love the color, just not the feel after. Really wrong for meColour awful. I have the dark blonde hair (strawberry blondish in the light) and wanted to cover the few greys and make the highlights which had half grown out less noticeable. I asked for my hair to be my natural colour and sent photos. I ended up with ugly medium brown mahogany hair far too dark for my skin tone and blue eyes and no where near my natural colour which they could see from the 5 inch growth on my photos. Awful. CAN NOT RECOMMEND AT THIS TIME.I reviewed my color for you through the order. I expressed that my hair had a strong red hue to it in the "grow out" area after the treatment. I received an email offering corrective product. I agreed to that. Then I received another email which was a duplicate of the original about a week later. I agreed again and stated in the email that this was my second response. I indicated in my original review that my previous stylist had used Volume 30 to lift my color and it still took some time. Purchased for damaged chemo hair and scalpWas not satisfied, color was darker and cooler than expected for description, that can be modified though, the real bummer is I tried this service because I thought they may be able to help keep a nice rich color in and soften and help repair chemo riddled thin hair and scalp. DevastatedThe color was TOO dark. That's for starters. I left it on for less than 1/2 the time it stated to. I had intentionally allowed my hair to grow out anticipating doing this with your company after seeing the advertisements! My hair had roots appropriately 1" and 3/4 inches long. I had been letting my hair grow out from a short bob cut and it was past my shoulders at the point I colored it with your product. Not only was it so dark it turned a blackish color with plum tones but when I washed it I had so much hair fall out in the shower I panicked! It was like a chemo patient! I thought PERHAPS it was only because I had done something wrong myself.. I have done OTC products before however and NEVER had such a reaction. I thought if I waited and allowed myself to miss one shipment and didn't use any products in my hair, no heat to dry it, or style it, didn't get in a pool with chemicals.. that it would lighten and wouldn't do anymore damage. However hair continued to fall out at an alarming rate AND began to break off at the ends until it was ABOVE MY SHOULDERS and barely elbow my ears!! I finally had to suck it up and go into a salon where I was told YOUR product had damaged my hair beyond repair! I had to have my hair cut so short its now approximately three inches short all over! SHORTER than it was when I started growing it all out! And I've had to pay an exhorbant amount on keratin treatments to try and strengthen it. You can even see my scalp in places from loosing hair! Not the right colour and terrible texture problemsAfter using the eSalon hair dye, I found it had a terrible waxy surface to my hair, it was actually scary while I was in the shower. It took 6 washes with clarifying shampoo to remove the wax texture. In addition, the colour was much darker than I had asked for and looked dull and matte. Didn't Work For MeMy hair is insanely dark and the hair dye didn't show up at all in my hair even after leaving it in for several hours. It left a huge mess but I could probably associate that with my lack of experience with dying my hair. The worst of it all is that my hair never dried after washing it. As I'm leaving this review I have damp weirdly textured hair and it's been over 12 hours since I took a shower after washing my hair. DisappointingI was really excited to try this. I'm really bad about going out and buying my hair dye in a timely manner. Even after I buy it, I'm the person to let the box of dye sit there for two weeks before I'll actually do it. I figured this would make it easier and more exciting so maybe I'd do it right away. That part was accurate. However, I was disappointed by the color twice. I've been dyeing my hair since I was 18 and have become quite good at it. My first order, I followed the directions that I was given. After I rinsed, my roots were much lighter than the rest of my hair. Also, my hair color didn't come out dark like I was hoping. It was more of a faded copper/red. (My hair did feel soft though...so bonus!) So, I updated the pictures and "changed the formula". I got my second delivery. I decided to do my roots the way I always do rather than following the directions, and my roots matched quite well. However, the color still wasn't what I was looking for. I'm giving it three stars because it shipped on time and it did leave my hair soft and relatively shiny...which is always a good thing when it comes to hair dye. I really wanted to like thisI decided not to use the second shipment. Im a light brunette and an not interested in going light blond. Its hard to color my hair because it is in good shape and i dont want to hurt it. Before i was ready to go ahead and try it, the first color had 95% faded. Would like more gray coverage (have just enough to notice) Didn't care for the burning sensation o my scalp going into the last 5 minutes so I rinsed early. The waxy feel during the rinse was worrisome but after a few shampoos my hair softened. The color is more of a black instead of dark brown with violet. Overall, I am disappointed. Great concept in theory, not happy with colorWhile I loved the packaging and the idea of this, and I know it showed in my booklet that there was a bit of blue toner in my coloring kit… I specified that I absolutely did not want any red color to my hair at all. I had recently removed red, and at home had finally gotten my hair to a very cool toned dark blonde. I wanted to try this for root maintenance, and followed the instructions to a T. It made my hair sort of a dark, faintly strawberry blonde, which I am very NOT happy with. In addition to that, I left the color on the full 30 minutes with no products in my hair, and it didn't even cover my grays completely. Not covering wellDear stylist, for some reason this haircolor is not doing a good cover on my roots yet the rest of my hair is completely dark!!! but if I could just order the root coverage only package and maybe it even cost less that would be awesome. I followed the instructions and didn't do a run through on the rest of my hair until the last few minutes and then rinse it shampooed , rinced,condition and rinsed and this is how it came out to dark on my head and not good root coverage ! Way to dark, weird formulaMy hair color was almost black and the gray coverage wasn't good. I didn't like the formula at all.
