Not the sameThis color was not the same I had before, it was more on the redish tone which I dislike very much. Nice to use. But colour and coverage terribleI have been colouring my hair at home for 30years, and used all kinds of different brands and colours. This was very nice to use. The instructions were easy to follow. But it failed dismally in it's main objective of actually colouring my hair! I could see straight away that the colour was too light for my roots, wouldn't colour my greys and I'd need to do it again within a week. It was a complete waste of time and very expensive compared to the dyes I'd previously bought from the chemist, which might not smell as good. But did colour great, and stay! I was going to cancel my subscription, but they have offered me a free colour set and adjusted my colour. So I am going to give it another go this weekend as the roots and greys need to be sorted even though I only coloured it 2 weeks ago! This company used to be amazing, now has gone downhillI have asked for a light colour as my original colour is white. I kept getting a base of dark brown, whilst I was hoping to gradually go lighter and lighter. Phoned and talked to a colourist who promised to swap the base to a Light Brown and still got exactly the same colour that comes nearly black. Wrong colour from what I asked forI asked for a specific hair colour (9.0 Light Blonde) but was given a hair colour that was much, much darker, and not at all what I had asked for. Dark Beige blond turned out to be BRIGHT ORANGE!The instructions were easy to follow, and the packaging was very nice. The end result was the worst home dye job I’ve ever had. Didnt cover graysI followed the instructions. But most of my grays didn't get coloured. And the Grays that did get coloured has more of a purple tint. Now my roots look light compared to the rest of my hair. I don't like the results. It is not worth the effort. Be cautiousThe first time, turned my dark blonde hair orange and the color they sent to fix it, made it worse. Then they sent a cure all color to help that and I have given up, I will just have to live with orange hair, until I can get to a salon. Not happyHi there, I was so excited to try this product, when I finally did, I was disappointed. I have been coloring my own hair for years so I'm not a novice. After mixing and leaving it on the required time, LOTS of gray did not cover at all. Not just round my face, but top area and well- several areas. Complete packageI received my first esalon package and everything was included which was awesome. The coloring process was straight-forward as I have colored by hair in the past. The gloves were sturdy, the smell wasn’t too loud and the shampoo made my hair really soft. Unfortunately, the dark brown only darkened my gray roots to medium brown….leaving an obvious line of demarcation. I wear a center or side part most days. NOT a good look. From a lovely mixed shade of silver to dull brownI asked for my silver to be blended where it was darker. I wanted it to look natural and the colors to blend gradually. I didn't ask for coverage. A medium blonde was picked. My hair was a flat shade of dull brown. Ash was sent to correct it. I cried. Then it was a mousey shade of sorta purple-looking brown. I would have liked the purple without the brown! I was never consulted, so why this shade was chosen I don't know. The end result was $150 out of pocket to have the color bleached out and 3 hours of time I didn't have. Oh, I also spent 30 on a shampoo to pull the crappy color out. That only made it look flatter prior to the ash. I would try Madison if I was going to advise anyone to do this. But you won't print that. You have my address if you wish to reimburse me or send me product to compensate me for this miserable experience. I won't post the pictures on Instagram. I will at least do you that kindness. Last 2 colors horribleThe last 2 colors have been horrible. 2 ago my hair was orange. The last one was recommended to change to strawberry blonde. Since I let the last color grow out I had at least 1.5 or 2 inches of roots. Applied the strawberry blonde all roots turned almost white and long hair some reddish color. Terrible issueI loved this company and the product since I started using at the start of the pandemic but for the past 3 months I have been having issues with coverage of my grays. I changed my color a couple of times, but the last time I received my order the bottle exploded in my bathe when I mixed it!!! The bottle erupted like a volcano!!! It went all over my bathroom wall, the light fixture, the toilet, my ceiling and all over my bathroom curtain. I called to complain and they offered me two free colors and the emailed me “instructions on how to get the stains out”!!! My toilet is ruined, not even with bleach I could take stains out!! My walls were ruined because paint was blurred after I tried to take the hair color out and I had to throw out my bathroom curtains because not even bleach took out the stains!! I complained about this and no one from this company has had the courtesy to even offer an apology. I have pics and videos that I sent to them and nothin and never mind my ceiling!! Is ruined!! Ruined my hair with ugly orange rootsZero stars…Ruined my hair… I ordered my color, neutral dark brown 3.5 NN, with the assistance of one of eSalons’ consultants. I used the incredibly runny and watery solution following the instructions. I self color my hair every month so this wasn’t a new thing for me. After about 15 minutes, it had dried my roots up to 1.5 inches of hair, a horrific l bright orange. I looked crazy for a couple weeks while I let my scalp recover. Then, I went crawling back to Madison Reed. I forgot this was a subscription service too. So I was charged for another batch. Exploded and didn’t workI followed the directions but it didn’t work. My hair is not cute right now. Some of it got super red and some of it didn’t change at all. The worst part was both bottles exploded everywhere. It sprayed out of the bottle so fast and strong as soon as I opened it. It’s on the floor, ceiling, cabinets, chairs, literally everything. Love the color, not the priceI love the color chosen for me. However for the price I would think it would work as good as the brands you can get in the store but I have not seen that. I have colored my hair three times and last two times there is a spot that didn't get colored though I know it was saturated with color. Did not work for me!!Let me start by saying loved the packaging and how quickly it arrived. Also loved the stain guard in the kit and the fact it comes with everything you need. Not so much GRAY coverage!Overall easy process but leaves very severe stains like no other. Opened bottle to mix the color in but seal went flying and some of developer ran out.Never had that happened.Not a biggie but still.After keeping on for 45 mins even per instructions to leave on for 20 min the grays were not covered well. I do thank the colorist for the mix but something was not delivering to satisfaction. OkayColour is nice especially in natural sun light, however only really showed up on parts of hair that was already lighter from previous dye (different brand) Doesn't really show on new growth. So not sure if it would work if my hair wasn’t already dyed. My hair can be quite stubborn to take to dyes though because it’s dark brown and thick. Color turned way too dark I had to go buy color removerI had to go to Walgreens and get color remover to get the way too dark brown removed. This did not happen with the color kit I received before this kit. I can't afford mistakes 😢 like this last experience. I wrote to you abt my pkg being unusually late and it was damaged, scrunched up when it arrived. I was very very surprised. It wasn't bad enough to not open but clearly not in good shape. No longer covers ANY grayI only have a handful of gray hairs and this hair color does NOT cover gray. I don't know if the formula has changed because it used to but it does not any longer. Not for blondesI have used e-salon twice now & sadly will not be using again. I have darker blonde hair which lightens very easily. I was hoping that using e-salon would help me maintain a blonde I love, but it wasn't in the cards. The first color made my hair almost grey-green at the ends (too ashy of a color). I requested an adjustment & the new color is more yellow then blonde and does not look natural at all. This one didn't do the jobI wanted to note somewhere that this color formula just didn't cut it this time around. While it got rid of my dark dark roots it did not cover up my grey. Most my grey is at the hair line around my face and I think this formula was just too light in the blonde category to be able to get rid of the silver/grey hairs around my face. Not getting grey coverageI'm not getting the grey coverage, once i color it shows I've color everywhere, but once I wash out the color after 35 mins to 1 hr., it still shows grey around my face and temples. I've tried the spray Camo Mist copper strawberry and it just shows like I sprayed red dye around my temples, so I'm ordering another spray hopefully with more of a golden tone than just red dye, BUT IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN TAKE CARE OF THE GREW AROUND MY TEMPLES AND FACE THAT WILL LAST LONGER THAN 1 WASH??????????? 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Very DisappointingI have coloured my hair many times and always do the safety tests . Since using this product my hair is dry and matted despite using a top quality conditioner. My scalp is also uncomfortable at times . The colour is also poor with elements of yellow and is patchy in places. I carefully followed all the instructions to the letter. Looked patchy and didn't cover my greyI have some grey hairs, not too many but this colour didn't seem to cover them. I want to give e-salon another try and hope that it's better this time around. The packaging was gorgeous. I agree with another’s statement below that it seems like a rinse that washes off after shampooing a couple of times. Disappointed!I've been a customer for years and I never really had an issue until lately. The color seams to fade quickly but it also doesn't seem to be grabbing or holding onto the hair it has been applied to. The color now doesn't have that shine to it anymore. I have complained for the last 6 months and have been working with them to get a better color out to me, I have even sent photos with the right color to them. Unfortunately, the color I get back isn't even close and within a week or two has lightened up to a nasty puke Orangie/yellow color. As far as it does not stay on my hair, they just print in my instructions to leave it on 10 minutes longer. I've done that and knew that's not the answer. Orange!I was excited to try this product after reading such great positive reviews. I went through the process and followed directions to a tee! My hair was not blonde, but a hue of orange! I let the team know and said they would adjust the color and I need to follow directions. Hmmmm, what I did. Anyway, I received an email that my order was about to ship, so I hopped on line and skipped to the next shipment. Received an email a few days later that they had sent my color and charged me! I don't want your products! They don't work Called customer service, she said I did not cancel shipment( what!) But when I receive it, I should send it back and when they receive it I would get a refund. 100% guarantee, I think not I'll rather spend $ at a salon thank you 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Faded way too fast!Have you changed something? This last order I used started fading after just 2 weeks and now 1 month later I have brassy, faded red highlights that are not attractive! 3 toned hairAfter my partner coloured my hair as written in the instructions, my hair ended up being 3 different colours. I found the texture of the cream nice and thick, and the colour in the bowl was beautiful, but unfortunately my hair wasn't happy and looked awful.
