Not the color I wantedMy hair was originally medium brown and I requested to go lighter to a dark blonde. The colorist messaged me and said with my skintone, I'd look better with an ash blonde color. The color turned out to be a medium/dark brown with significant red tones. Total opposite of what I wanted! I frequently added information via photos and commentary about how the color was fading as the weeks wore on. I was hoping to hear from the colorist as I added information but only just heard something via email today, when they were preparing the color to ship it out. Through my account I had requested to go lighter...again. The colorist told me my hair can't be lightened now with the color in it. TerribleFollowed instructions exactly, did the strand test and even had someone help me section and apply to make sure I did not miss anything. My hair turned out patchy, my greys ended up light brown and some of my natural hair did not take the dye. Horribly inaccurate after hair stylist stepped in twiceI REALLY wanted this to work. But this color mix the hair stylist put together was basically black (I asked for brown with honey ends). The first color I ordered myself was good and since then I have had two complete misses. My hair is dry from trying to correct it only to end up with a cheap black color… twice. Grey hair coverageThis formula did not cover any of my gray hair at all the first time so I'm not going to attempt to try to do it again not to mention one bottle is not going to be enough because I will need to do an all over color again. So I want to know if I can return this order & get my money back. Not for meHi this was my second run at trying a colour but this second one really burnt my scalp. The first one didn’t but I knew instantly with this one. I had to get it off quite quickly. I didn’t do a sensitivity test as the first one was fine. I can be sensitive so the issue probably lies more with my scalp but overall I still haven’t got the right colour. Have used--but now they won't send or sell me my color. RidiculousI have really liked eSalon, but I collected color faster than I could use it so i stopped ordering for a few months. But I loved my color (after some adjustment). I went to re-order--and they won't let me re-order my color. I have to start all over, create a new profile, etc. Why? All my information is in my account, and none of it has changed. So why do I have to start over, risk not getting the color I want again, and all that? I reached out to customer support, and the agent basically said nothing they can do--they refuse to sell me my existing color again. What company behaves this way?! Left with ginger hairI’m unsure what happened but I selected dark blond colour i put the colour on the roots and the colour started developing a plum purple colour it was a bit conderning and the ends turned deep purple too, I washed it off as per the instructions and I’ve been left with bright ginger hair. I’m very upset and I will have to spend more money now trying to correct this. I’ve tried to press help and the option doesn’t work on the website. Good color but too auburnE-Salon has been great so far. I adjusted the color and it turned out too light. I’m a natural brunette and went for medium brown. Not the colour I thought I was gettingThis review is hard for me to write because there is so many pros, but the one con is a huge deal to me. I love the product itself. Easy instructions, easy to apply, very minimal odour and my hair felt really good after and the shampoo and conditioner smells amazing! But, I absolutely hate the colour I received. I was so upset with the colour. I did not want my hair to be copper/auburn, I wanted dark blonde. Was a nightmarethat I didn't have to paint it on, until this 2023 you can imagine my admiration, but I don't know what happened now, that the result was fatal, the nightmare of gray hair is horrible. Instead of covering it up, what seemed to be was to increase the situation and I had recommended them to my acquaintances and they made me look bad in front of them. Not a fanI was super excited to try, but ended up disappointed. The smell is SUPER strong which, for me, is a trigger for migraines. I did give it a shot regardless. Fan on, windows open. Followed instructions to the letter. While processing, all looked great!! However, once washed and out of the towel, not so much. My grey's were not gone at all and neither were my roots. This color actually lightened my roots by an entire shade. I'm not sure how or why since I went w a blue/black color as i have dark hair. Amazing color, just not what I wanted.I color my hair myself quite a bit, so I have some good techniques down. I followed these instructions to a T and the color came out WAY stronger than what I wanted. I wanted a soft, chocolatey brown and I got violety black. I've used store box dyes before and they at least left my hair shiny and feeling good initially. This did not. So worth the $11 shot for my first time purchase. Getting BetterThe color was a bit darker than expected but it did cover the gray where I applied it correctly. I thought I would receive the golden highlight set as well but it wasn't included and I'm not sure if on purpose. I did meantime, order another products to bring out the gold tones and I add a ballayage set to my next order thinking that's what I need to lighten the lower part of my hair vs the roots.
