3rd time correcting - my hair is greenI really had high Hope's. I started with level 10 and asked to put some color back in. They sent me a filler and dark blonde, once processed my hair had a reddish, greenish tinted. I called, customer service was fantastic btw, but it took a whole 7 days to get "corrective" color. TerribleI have been dying my own hair for years. I thought I would give this a try to see if it is any better than drugstore brands. My hair is medium brown and I lighten it to a light brown color. My only note to "my colorist" was "No red please". Well, I just finished dying my hair and it is now a medium brown auburn color. Too dark and a lot of red. Where’s my hair?I had ordered from eSalon about 2yrs ahí and cancelled my orders after using it three times. This year during this COVID-19 pandemic, I was browsing on my Facebook and happen to come across the product again, so I said “hey this seems like a good idea “, forgetting the reason why I cancelled it the first time. Just okayI had high hopes for a hair color that is far more expensive than my normal color. It left my hair feeling very dry and brittle despite my following the directions EXACTLY. Doesn't cover gray hairI wanted so badly to give this company a good review. The packaging is beautiful. The shade is nice and the customer service people have been very helpful BUT the color doesn't cover gray hair. My roots are the same as before and I meticulously followed the directions. If they have a different product , I'd be willing to try again. The first shipment was damaged and they replaced it at no cost ( kudos) so I'm not looking for another free one. Great color, horrible productI gave it 2 stars because I love the color. However, it fades fast, my hair is frizzy and damaged and the bottle isnt enough for my whole head. Colour was much too light and orangeyI had tried eSalon years ago and found the colour did not cover my grey and was too light. Tried it again last week and found I had similar results. I am not happy with the directions for this color set.I asked for the colorist to change my haircolor by lightening it two shades lighter. I received no communication regarding this change until I was informed by order was being shipped. Then upon receiving the color, the directions told me to dye my new growth and keep dying it over time until it is all the desired color. This is unacceptable to me. I have shoulder length hair, and I don't want to wait two years for my hair to be a new color. I don't appreciate the lack of communication and the methodology recommended. There was waxy residue left on my hair.Very thick waxy built up in my hair. I am not sure if was a defective formula or what. Or maybe this dye doesn’t work with my hair. I wanted to know what to do about the waxy buildup. Should use an exfoliating shampoo or baking soda. I had to wash my hair 5 times after the color and another 3 times the next day. EghI tried eSalon several years ago and didn't love it. Tried it again recently after seeing many people i know give great reviews. I was wrong and should have trusted my gut. Still smells very highly of ammonia. I couldn't breathe when I was rinsing it out. It was THAT bad. It was very drippy. I'm pretty good at not making a mess but it's nearly impossible with this stuff. Then the color. It was disappointing and not remotely close to what I wanted. What I wanted was a rich red. No gray coverage. Very disappointed!I have never professionally dyed my hair at a salon and home box dyes have done a poor job at covering my grays so I was willing to pay a little extra for full gray coverage. Unfortunately, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED! :( My results: Some grays remain silver white and some turned golden orange. Also, during the dyeing process, the aroma of the dye made my eyes sting when I turned my head to look in the mirror. I'm concerned about what is in the formula that caused my eyes to sting and am worried about the health of my scalp and hair. I have never experienced this with box dyes. Turned my roots orangeI reached out to customer service but have not heard back yet. I followed all the instructions to the dot, but my roots became a quite bright orange colour. I specifically mentioned that I wanted to avoid orange or coppery tones, so I am not very happy with the colour of my roots. Did NOT cover all my gray!Applied as directed, in fact left the color on an extra 10 minutes and then proceeded as directed. Some gray did not colored at all, some gray was very light brown instead of dark brown. I sent a message to my colorist 3 days ago with no response. I watched the cover gray video also. NO RESPONSE. Color fadedThe directions were clear. I liked the color, but on the sideburns and beard the color did not last long. about 5 days to start and in 10 days it was half white. I am making my 3d application today, but if it does not last I will go back to my old color. I do like this new color tho. Worst hair experience since I was 12This dye turned into gummy glue on my scalp. It took me an hour to get some of it out. It was a two hour process total I finally used shower gel which was only thing that would break it up a little. I had to comb it out of every piece of hair. It was especially awful at back of hair and over ears. It was an awful experience and I have died and not enjoyed dying my hair at home for over 30 years. I really wanted this to work!This is the 3rd try on the hair color with adjustments requested each time to see if it would work. I left the color on for 60 minutes this time.. 20 minutes longer than told to do. I started with my grey areas first at the temple and roots.. but the color still would not take at the temple area & in some of the root area. I am so bummed as I really hoped this would work, but I can't seem to find a solution. The color itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, I have cancelled my subscription. Didn't lighten as advertisedFirst time using esalon and was very hopeful. Unfortunately the color of my hair barely changed and overall it feels like a waste. I was trying to get my dark brown hair lighter, which I know isn't easy...especially from a box without bleaching, but the way this was advertised made It seem as though It would work. I was given a sense of possibility when I was shown in the simulation of what my hair would look like post dying it with my selected color. Very DisappointedThe real and honest truth.. my intention is not to bash eSalon or be cruel. This is my actual and honest experience.. I can't speak for the color or the application process but I feel very let-down. I placed my first order a week or two ago and was really excited because I had seen so many reviews stating how great eSalon was. For obvious reasons, I was nervous to purchase hair dye through the internet and was even more unsure about the color that I should get. So I called to talk to a representative or "colorist." I was told that once I created my online profile I could voice those concerns in the questionnaire they have you fill out, select a color that I liked, and then someone would call or email me to talk me through it. When my coloring kit showed up on my doorstep, I still hadn't heard from a colorist, so I gave them a call. I was told that I was speaking to one of eSalon's "colorists" but the woman I was speaking to was definitely not a professional. It was as if she was reading from a script and did nothing to ease my mind. She also didn't seem to know anything about me, my current hair color, or what I was looking for, because she asked me all of the questions she should have already known the answers to when she "pulled up my profile." Again, it is not my intent to "bash" eSalon. Like a lot of people, I have had my fair share of color mishaps and when I get my hair done or dye my hair at home, I want to be able to trust either the stylist or the company that I am buying hair dye from. Not the right colorI ordered here to be safe about the color I was getting by a professional ! I had highlights in my hair so I wanted to go LIGHTER into a caramel color . The hair dye I got made my hair dark brown it took me time to do the highlights now I’m back to square 1 . So upset 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Did you? |
