DisasterTried this twice. First time I used it colour was orangey red. Supposed to be raspberry red. Gave the benefit of the doubt and asked for it to be àltered. My hair was no different. Is a computer customizing my color?Apparently when my color was corrected they failed to pay attention to the fact that I wanted GOLDEN tones! I specifically stated GOLD tones. The first color gave me reddish tones. It said Gold on the bottle. The corrected color is too dark and has zero gold tones in it and now I look like Elvira! It’s so dark it’s blue. They made it darkest brown and ash. It said it shld have 2 bottles each of color and developer. It had one of each. I don’t know how you can mess up something like this. If you couldn’t give me gold tones then tell me. Don’t just send me something else. I’m so pissed because I have a family funeral to go to in a few days and will be seeing family I haven t seen in years and I look washed out bc the color is so flat and dark. Terrible. Awful, second attempt and still awfulI wanted Irish Redhead bright colour. Ordered from e-salon twice. First time after following all instructions to the letter, the colour was light brown at the top and no colour on the lengths. I emailed to cancel he subscription. We spoke and I send pictures of the colour I wanted to the support team who persuaded me to try again. This time it was a fiasco again with boring dull medium brown all over. Cancelling the subscription and very happy to see my hairdresser tomorrow. Although as I only did the colour yesterday I won’t be able to change it for the next few weeks. Very disappointed. I am used to dying my hair and get better results and hair quality after colouring from L’Oréal hair products. Less than desirable results.This coloring took a long time and it had quite a few steps. Especially when the results were below desirable. I did not understand why I shampooed and conditioned my hair after coloring it. I truly believe that rinsed out most of the coloring in my hair. Some of it is dark but there is not any hint of blue at all. As a matter of fact it has my natural hint of red. The gray hair in the front did not fully dye. I have bought boxes from Walmart that dyed better than this one. So now I am stuck with gray and I can't dye again for a while. Did not cover my gray, made my roots pinkThe color was supposed to be a neutral dark blond to cover my roots and gray. My color came out pinky-copper and warm. It clashes with the rest of my hair color. None of my gray was covered. I now have to get my hair professionally fixed. Not for meI do love how they supply a couple pairs of gloves and remover, etc in the kit. I usually have all that, but it’s nice that comes with it. I’ve been dying my hair for a long time and was excited to try this because of all of the positive reviews. However, I did not have a good experience. Right off the bat the bottle began leaking after I mix everything together. It was on right, it just didn’t seal good. Long story short, my color ended up being too dark. Leaked during shippingI’ve ordered for over a year and have not had any issues with my product. This time the outside of the box clearly showed the dye had leaked. It was more than half empty and was all over the inside of the box. It didn’t appear there was any shipping damage, but that the cap wasn’t on securely. The nice thing is that when I called, eSalon was very easy to deal with to get a replacement. They said they were also refunding me the cost. Not pleased with resultsI tried my custom made hair color twice and both times the color has not been able to successfully take on my grey hair. This time I had someone assist with the coloring to ensure that all areas were covered. After the processing and rinsing was complete there were noticeable hairs that were still grey. Not right colorAfter reading numerous reviews online and hearing how great the color is at eSalon I decided to give it a try. Boy was I wrong. I have naturally red hair and wanted to cover up whites; I ordered a color very similar to my natural hair color and now my hair is brown not even a slight tint of red. Very upset with the color I could have gone to the store and picked out a box and have better results. Shame on me for putting my trust in esalon. Hate the colorI loved the first few times I used the system but this color adjustment went horribly and came out almost black on me. When I contacted customer service about a refund they gave me a runaround about a new color adjustment but I don't trust them when this color went so wrong. Someone else cancelled my upcoming orders and told me to email a specific address. I emailed them directly regarding the refund and still haven't heard back a month later. Dark brown isn’t dark enoughI purchased “Darkest Brown” and included photos along with notes expressing concern that it may not be dark enough. (I’m Southern European with naturally very dark brown hair but not quite black). The colourist never reached out on my comments and when I used the colour it was indeed much too light. It also had copper and red tones which again, I made note that I didn’t want those undertones. It seemed like they didn’t read any of my order notes or looked at my photos. Didn't do anything on my rootsI have naturally blonde hair but dye it red. With any other brand I've purchased, it will cover my roots. This didn't. It did nothingI followed all instructions, I've been doing my hair at home for nearly 20 years and even used eSalon back in September of 2020. This time around it should have been darkest brown with intense pearl (I requested a purple like pearl) My hair looks exactly the same as it did before coloring it. It's a light-medium brown. I've never had a hair color not take and fairly irritated I wasted over an hour and $30 just to have the same color I started with. Never received my order and I cannot speak to anyone about itMy apologies. I found it. I mistook the box for a different order. Still, I think the shipping is wacky and I hope there's a way to actually reach a person if I should ever need to. Super pissed and look horribleFollowed directions to a T and it did not blend at all even with pouring the rinse over my head and massaging for 5 minutes instead of just the 3 minutes recommended. Love the color but it fadesI loved this color when I first put it in. It had just the right amount of purple shade that I wanted. But the color faded out within 2-3 weeks and was just back to my original shade of reddish brown. I waited to try again with my second order before I wrote my review but that color faded after just a few weeks too. I will never use this product again.My hair before using this product was lustrous, shiny, and healthy. I wanted a product that covered my grays and kept my healthy hair. This product did not satisfy me. It dulled my hair. It made my hair brittle and dry. IT DID NOT COVER MY GRAYS!! I would like my money back and cancel my account! This product damaged my hair...it will take months before the damages are grown out. I will definitely let everyone I know as well as the internet know about your terrible product. Wish I hadn't used it..used to love my hair colour now not so muchBad points: even though I've posted my picture and explained in my notes what colour I wanted to achieve (basically keep the one I already have) , I still ended up with dark roots I'm devastated. I understand that the actual colour depends on many factors but I used other hair dyes in the past and never had any problem. I used to have nice golden/copper hair and now my roots are very dull. Sadly, I need to use colour hair remover asap :( Shame about the money and time spent, and damaging my hair unnecessarily. Good points: arrived quickly, great packaging, clear instructions, covers grey hair, hair feels in a good condition. UnhappyI have brown hair and requested a dark ash blonde colour, purchased home dye kit and purple shampoo. The instructions told me to apply to the roots first, leave to process for 25 minutes and then apply to the ends for 5 minutes. I was highly skeptical as I know that the roots process much faster than the ends but against my better judgement I decided to listen to the colourist’s advice. As I suspected, my roots have now lightened to a hideous red colour which is completely different from the ash tone I requested and the ends are untouched. I ordered on line thinking it was Madison Reed but when it came in it was not.I just thought it was a corporate umbrella. I called M Reed only to find out that it was a different company. eSalon also put me on an automatic monthly shipping plan when I specifically said it was a trial. The product was ok. Not as good as Madison Reed which I have since used. I will see if eSalon will refund my automatic monthly shipment. I feel that I was conned. I called the 800 number on eSalon's site. Very disappointedI followed the directions. I mentioned that I have some gray hair. This color was put on a few weeks ago. The minutes I rinsed it out I could still see all the gray hair. After I blow dried my hair, it looked darker except for all the grays. 3 weeks later the darker color is completely faded. I only wash every 2-3 days. I am so disappointed, A waste of my money. Color was not as described. Received the 2nd color shipment. I added more comments and discussed my concerns about the 1st shipment. Well, I'm officially done. My first timeWell, I thought this was going to be an amazing product! And I would not get the wrong color again,or have to deal with going and buying hair color again! Boy was I WRONG!! I WAS SO EXCITED TO START MY COLORING PROCESS. I do have to say that the steps were easy. Waste of money - should've stuck with L'Oréal!Colour was a terrible mousy brown with brassy tone instead of the cool medium blonde with pearl tone that it was meant to be. Had fix it with L'Oréal cool tone colour which did a brilliant job and gave me the cool ash tone I wanted, clearly something esalon couldn't deliver and why I will be sticking with L'Oréal as I should've done in the first place.
