It's kinda messy to diy but costs way less and it's less time consuming as well. And the color is gorgeous, I get lots of compliments on it! Plus it's cruelty free which is awesome!
The final result is beautiful, I love it. It's just hard to rinse the colour out! The conditioner smells like heaven but there's not enough of it for really long hair. If they put more conditioner in the box I'd give it 5 stars as the colour is lovely and doesn't fade.
The color was just right and I loved it, the only problem, which was no fault of theirs, is I had an allergic reaction to the chemicals. But I would recommend it
I discussed the fact my hair seem to have slight red highlights, probably from the gray areas. Hair needs to have (to me) a more natural light brown or dark blonde without red tinges.
I have been very satisfied with everything about my hair color and your efforts to provide a special individual client home salon experience. At least that's what it feels like to be pampered through the mail by you. I am using color treated hair shampoo and not washing it every day...yet still my gray roots are showing through in about 3-4 weeks. Any suggestions? I am tho king about the rout touch up. But my whole point was keep costs down.
It took some getting used to coloring at home. But now I have a method down, and the color has consistently come out well. It's the right amount of golden brown that I wanted and it blends well with the previous months' color. The only thing I don't care for is the shampoo and conditioner. I now skip using this product and use my own products.
I loved this brush SO MUCH,
BUT--the bristles over the center 2/3 of the surface keep retracting into the brush! I do NOT want a different kind of brush after discovering this one(even my 9y/o granddaughter immediately goes for this so Grammy can brush her long platinum blonde hair) we all LOVE the smooth silky shiny hair without pulling-- feels so AWESOME!!
With that being said I am so disappointed with the pushed in bristles!! I can easily pull them out, but with 1-3 brush strokes they go back in & I can't figure out a way to fix this. Brushing hair becomes tedious rather than enjoyable!
I read the reviews and noted Joyce, Cassie, Heather, & Lianne had the same problem so I know you are aware of it & working on fixing it-- have you found a fix for this??***
###Or are my two WONDERFUL BRUSHES essentially useless??

I like this colour much better than the first. Thank you for sending me the second bottle to refresh the ends of my hair. In general I am pleased with the results although the roots are rather orange compared to the rest of the hair, when I pull my hair back the roots are very bright and look rather artificial. The ends look much healthier but are beginning to fade again after a few washes and my temples are already showing white! Not sure what I am doing wrong?
I like the color and ease of applying the color. My only problem was getting the grey around my face to color completely. The color did burn somewhat after being on for a while too
Happy with the color and how soft it left my hair!

I colored my hair with this product for the first time yesterday. I like the color and the product. The subsequent shampoo/conditioner left my hair very soft. It did cover most of my gray, but there are a few stubborn spots around my hairline that the dye did not affect. I know these places are hard to cover so I put generous amounts of the dye on them. It didn't completely color them, but I'd say it covered 95% of my gray.
I like the product, easy application, great coverage, lots of shine and manageability. However, I ordered Light Brown Natural Golden, and my color actually came out more of a Dark Brown.
The process was simple and easy, and my hair looks great. It felt a little squeaky for a couple of days till all the residue washed clean, but most boxed dyes do this to my hair.
I really liked the coloring, although would have preferred a hint more red. All in all, love how much I rec'd, seemed more than in a regular box coloring, but maybe it is the same amount. Very easy to use and apply.
I have been coloring my hair for years. I used to get my hair colored at the salon, but then I had children. So I had to start coloring my hair at home. After several failed attempts, I found a brand and shade of a box color that I liked. I used it for many years. Unfortunately, my hair started going gray. The box color that I had been using specifically stated "not for gray hair". I kept using it, but my roots were so obvious when I colored them (almost worse than if I had just let them be). I saw eSalon advertised online. I read the reviews and thought, why not give it a try. I am so glad that I did. Even without me sending a photo, they were able to create a color that matched exactly the same shade I had been using...but it really covers my gray hairs!
The color itself does have an odor when mixed, however this odor comes out once you wash your hair and it's nothing that the bathroom fan can't handle. My old box color used to make my hair stink for at least a day or two.
I was also very impressed with the packing of the product. It's perfect. Everything you need, all neat and tidy in a box. The kit comes complete with easy to understand instructions (plus a handy little sticker so that you can tack them up onto the bathroom mirror while you're coloring). The gloves are high quality and will not tear when you put them on. The kit also included packets of stain guard, shampoo, conditioner and stain remover.
I can't say enough about this product/service. Not only was the color match perfect, but my hair doesn't feel like it's been colored (the old box stuff was so harsh on my hair). In addition, I don't have to remember when it's time to color my hair. The color will be created and auto-shipped to me based upon the schedule that I selected.
If you're reading the reviews, then you need to just give eSalon a try.
I love the color, doesn't wash off, the only dislike is that takes ages to wash it off the hair when dying, feels like you have oil paint on your hair, you have to shampoo your hair several times, however I think is the best dye I ever used and I've used a lot of dyes
I am a frequent traveler and have a hard time finding a good hair dresser every 6 weeks. Colors would change etc....this way I have the same color and I just have to ask a friend to help!

It maybe my hair but the color didn't come out that much. My original hair is kind of dark brown Asian hair, and the color I got is light brown golden copper. I don't see a lot of copper on my hair, only my hair has a little lighter brown now. However, I didn't get irritated skin, nor lost a lot of hair. My hair is still soft and shiny so the product was good in that
I like the color , when applied left a residue on hair for few days? I used the shampoo and cond sent in package for first few washes. I think it was the coloring agents tho. Very crunchy and odd feeling on hair. Any suggestions?

I loved the color when I first applied it but the red in it faded pretty fast and i had mostly dark brown after a couple shampoos, still i like the way my hair felt after applying it
I like it enough to do again. However, it has been 5 weeks since my color and I need a root touch up. I think this is because the color I chose is dark and I have greys around my face.
I really liked the color, got a lot of compliments, but the color soon faded starting at the roots within 2 weeks, followed application instructions but without success, and have started wearing wigs without the worries and cost.
The only draw back was the shampoo left my hair feeling really waxy as I had a professional hairdresser colour my hair she had real difficulty getting the shampoo out of my hair I was happy with the response from e salon when I contacted them about the above problem after around six washes my hair is starting to feel normal I would highly recommend the colour but not the shampoo
I love the color I get from eSalon...the color is perfect...I have to give it five stars... the only thing I dislike is how quickly the red in my hair fades...and when I wash my hair, the red comes out with the shampoo and everything I use is from eSalon....
The color was nice, but was staining everywhere on me and everything , thank goodness that a stain removal package was included!! I don't have theses problems with drug store brands.
This whole kit is a 'winner' for busy people. Great 'Customer Care.' I'm only sad they refuse to help older women go platinum, but I understand the hassles of recommending 'bleaching products,' so I've had to discontinue 😭
Loved the color result but for some reason I thought it was much more difficult and timely to apply. And I've colored my hair myself numerous times over. But overall I was happy with results.
The application was easy to use. I loved the color, but it did not cover the grey around the temple etc. Of course it was not a permanent color which I should have requested in the first place.
I like the natural medium shade of blonde for my hair but after my last application I received comments from more than one friend that my hair looked darker this time- I also asked for suggestions to help w/ the coverage of some gray which shows up here & there along my part line - I followed the most recent suggestions, however the results made my hair initially somewhat brassy - it's been a few weeks now and that seems to be settling down somewhat - I am up to suggestions of how to address this in the future.
I love the color and the shine the esalon products provide. They are long lasting and good quality. However, I do have to condition my curly hair extensively and add a leave-in conditioner after the coloring process so that my hair doesn't feel like tangled up straw.
LOVE THE COLOR HOPE THE GRAYS STAY GONE THAT WAS MY PROBLEM WITH RETAIL COLORS. THEY WORK BUT THEY SLIDE OFF THE GRAY WITHIN 2 WEEKS WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED.
I was initially very upset to find I had been put on repeat order , so check your order details ...but you can just order when you want , it comes from America so allow time for delivery...but I love this product, I can make it do two applications so not too expensive really ...
While I'm not the best at placing the color in the correct spot, I was absolutely thrilled at the color. I missed two spots which I managed to fix by saving a little of the color and adding it to my hair later. I'm sure I will do a better job second time around.
I just cannot fault this service at all. It has quite amazed me and I would most certainly recommend it to anyone, indeed I have to several people. Even though I am a qualified hairdresser with extensive colouring experience, because I don't have access to wholesales in the business, it has been very difficult to gain the colour I wanted, and I am not paying salon prices for colouring my hair when I can do it myself. Unfortunately, the colouring products available, don't have the range available to properly custom mix for your own colour needs. So eSalon is absolutely amazing for that..........many thanks so glad I took the plunge and tried you out........... :)
I REALLY LIKED THE RESULT OF THE COLORING;HOWEVER IT DOESNT LAST LONG. THE GRAY IS RETURNING FASTER THEN EXPECTED. THE CONDITIONER IS GREAT ALLOWING ME TO MANAGER MY THICK CURLY HAIR WITH EASE.
Loved the color even though it's demi and won't last forever. Also loved that the smell was pleasant and the product was easy to use with clear instructions.

The adjustments you made, to address my feedback, have resulted in an almost perfect result. Lowering the red % and lengthening the time it's on, seems to have provided better coverage of the grey. But, overall, I wish we could get the entire color just a touch lighter. Your responsiveness and the serious commitment you made to getting it right are much appreciated! Don't get service like this from many companies.
I liked the color a lot and it covered the grey very well. However, each time the color ends up a little bit darker - I imagine because I'm starting out a little darker because it doesn't fade as quickly. I'll have to adjust for next time.
I like live the color and the condition my hair is in. My gray coverage still does not last more than two weeks. I don't think it's the product, but my hair.
I left the product on for 30 min and had to rinse it out after that time frame...my scalp is sensitive and it began to burn slightly...but it was OK...I thought the color was not blonde enough but I believe it might turn to a reddish blonde if I changed the color..? I find the color does last longer than the store bought product so will continue to use the eSalon.
Was really nice, loved the color. I just didn't know how long to rinse it out after and I ended up rinsing a bit too much on one side and you can see the brown.
I can't commend the customer service enough, You work with the eSalon team by describing your needs and current hair condition, via email and sending pictures to your own consultant, it's almost the same as going to a professional just without the trip to the salon or the sad bank balance.
They gave me very detailed instructions on how to use the product to get the best results - the colour was a little darker than expected the first time but they were happy to amend the next order (it takes time to build a mutual understanding with a salon stylist too). Application was very easy, colour remained fresh and bright even though I was using a harsh shampoo to fade the dark to replace with a lighter dye the following order!
I'd definitely use eSalon again, and to be honest, I don't intend to go back to using 'regular' box dyes in the future.
