I liked this color more than my last one but it isn’t quite right. I think I need to go back to the color I used 5 years ago. However, the colorist took my suggestions for this color which I really appreciate!
The initial batch I received was a bit too dark/brown for my liking. Beautiful colour, just not what I wanted. I had no problem at all revamping the colour with the ESalon team and I feel that I won't have any issues going forward, should I wish to change it up once again. Thank you all so very much!
On my mid lengths to ends my hair is darker than I expected no.4 to be I bought hair extensions in darkest brown to match which were classed as no.2 and they are lighter than my hair
I have used other companies hair colors. They are very messy and don’t last very long. So I wasn’t sure if this one would be better. Wow it comes in a cute box with my name on it and has everything I need and things that I thought I didn’t need but I’m glad they sent it. The color has already lasted longer than most and it looks great and covered up the gray hair.

I’m seeing crazy reviews and can’t understand??
I’m seeing crazy reviews! I’ve been using esalon for 10 yrs 4 mos. The first time I used it and went to have my hair cut a few days later. He’s Italian born and trained from about age 16-17.He’d been in the USA for 50 yrs at that point. I made the comment that I’d changed my color. He said he noticed this when he started washing and cutting my hair that day. It was for the BEST! Previously I’d been using L’Oreal buying 2 of 1 color and 1 of another to make my own color. I’d mix them, use one and then the next 2 boxes over the next 2 colors. I am now pretty much white. I can see my white part and needing to do my color once a month. I’m now dark blonde from esalon. My hair dresser now says looks more medium blonde. I’ve gotten more used to being blonde as I was as a child. My blonde is NOT a screaming hey look! I’m blonde. It looks very natural. I’ve been told that the color is good for me. I’d been darker when I started out. As I’ve aged young 70’s now, I’ve had to adjust as it wouldn’t hold the darker color. However as you age, I think you look better with hair color but a lighter shade that doesn’t conflict with your skin. I’m VERY happy with esalon. Can’t understand these terrible stories?

I very much like the result, but I would like to mention that in my second order (having a subscription at the moment) you only sent me x1 bottle colour and x1 bottle developer. Whereas, in the first order I had two of each. The dye mixture was too little to cover all of my hair. Hence, there are a few colour differences in the end result. I thought you would continue sending x2 bottles of each.. No?
I received the package few months ago to scared to try jeotgoing to my stylist until today I finally decided to be brave and try the color set
And I have to tell you unfortunate for my hair dresser ESalon was true to their words the color is beautiful
The work was easy a bit more trash than needed
But I love the color I hope it stays true after a few washes
So, this was way more ginger than I was expecting. I was expecting a more honey/strawberry blonde but have ended up with a light auburn mix with a hotter root. As a natural ginge anyways, wasn’t a major shock but I imagine it might make some people a bit shocked if they were expecting a lighter tone
My hair was so sleek and I loved the product however I will not be ordering again as I have subscription for every 3 weeks and still have to pay shipping. If have free shipping with auto orders on color I would continue
This was my first time using eSalon. I had originally selected the darkest brown with copper and mahogany undertones. When I spoke with my stylist, Danielle, she advised that the brown I chose would be very dark and would come out looking more black than brown. I definitely did not want that, I have a very fair complexion! Instead, she chose medium brown for me (I'm naturally a blonde, but my hair has been processed by bleach to keep the brighter color) with copper and mahogany. She told me that the colors are darker than they appear in the photos online, which was good because I wanted a more dark chocolatey brown than a standard brown. Well, Danielle really knows what she's doing! The adjustment she made to my custom color was absolutely perfect and I love my new hair color! I am thrilled with this service and have already been telling everyone about it! Thank you so much, Danielle and eSalon, for making coloring my hair so much easier and more affordable than it's been the last 15 years!!
Until I retired I had my hair colored and highlighted at the salon. Once I retired I had a hard time justifying spending all that money. I also found I needed to have it done more frequently as the older I got the faster the grays were showing. I tried drug store color and for whatever reason whichever brand and whatever shade of blond (my natural color) i tried, within a week or two I always ended up with the same unfortunate shade of brassy reddish orange yuck. I was desperate when I read about eSalon. I was happy with my first custom color set. A definite improvement but still some of the dreadful brassy color. On the off chance it was avoidable I mentioned it to the colorist. Never again have I had to look at brassy reddish hair with disgust. My hair was blond again. I thought why not try a light set since my natural color is a darkish blond and I always enjoyed the highlights from the salon. I was a little nervous since I thought highlights were normally done by experts. The directions were very clear and the process was not complicated at all. I think my hair looks every bit as good as when I was paying hundreds of dollars for my color. I couldn’t be happier. So thank you to the wonderful colorist who banished the brass and to eSalon for allowing me an affordable way to maintain my retirement budget and love my hair at the same time.
I'm very happy with my colour, it was adjusted two times and it turn out very good.
I relation with shipping, I live in Ireland and he shipping information does not work. I try contacting support but you go link after link and is a maze to get the proper link. really hard to know were your order is.
I wanted to let you know that the developer leaked in shipping. This is not the first time, but fortunately I had enough this time to complete my color.
At first I started using box coloring you can get at the grocery store, it was just okay. I really wasn’t happy because my hair always looked so dull and lifeless. Then I paid a fortune at the salon, that really didn’t make me happy either. One day at my ophthalmologist’s office I saw a lady with the most beautiful red hair. When I complimented her on her hair color she told me it was from eSalon. I’ve been a happy customer ever since. The color experts at eSalon got my color right the first time. It was the right color and had depth and dimension that even the salon didn’t give me. Even if they hadn’t of gotten it right the first time, they would have worked with me until they did. I would recommend them to everyone. They’re that good.
Always wanted to be the red-haired girl of Charlie Brown, but since I only born Brown I had to adjust it. I spent lots of money in hair saloon only to reach a "fake red" shade. Since I started buying from eSalon, people are shocked when I tell them I am a natural brunette.
I had a positive experience with this product initially, as it was reasonably priced at first. However, I was surprised by the automatic subscription feature, and the price for later purchases is quite steep. Offering discounts for returning customers or subscribers might be good .
The process was great and so was the color but it has faded a lot in only 2weeks. That may be due to frequent washings because of the sun, hot weather and sweating so it will give it another try
Great colour, I was nervous but am a total convert from 6 weekly salon visits at nearly £100 per time. Only downside is that being on a plan does not attract free shipping. If I’m displaying loyalty, would be great to have that perk.
I went to color my hair(which I’ve done 10 times before according to my order history), and after adding the color to the developer, it exploded all over the ceiling! Eeeek!! I believe it was due to the heatwave we’ve been having in Seattle, because it came out hot. Which I thought was odd.
So, I was hoping I could get a replacement? I sort of scraped up about half of the solution, but it definitely was not enough to cover all my grays. I would greatly appreciate your help.
Too dark and communication with them is difficult.

First of all I hated my color when I did it. My hair was a dark brown and I have never had brown hair. My hair is a med auburn. Typically I use Revlon colorstay med auburn and it is perfect every time; however, in two weeks it fades terrible. By week three my roots are showing so I redo it again. The reason I tried this is to see if I could find a color that doesn’t fade so quick. After many washes and adding light auburn to my color the same day I did it, I ended up with the perfect color and it is definitely a longer lasting color but I can’t get my shade adjusted because it won’t let me do it and I can’t get hold of anyone who will listen. Coloring your hair shouldn’t be this frustrating.
Just done my hair, it is starting to change very slightly now but still quite red. This is the 3rd time of using your products and still very much the same colour even though all 3 colors have been different.
This is amazing product..covered my baby hairs too which was the most satisfying part. Would certainly want to continue with the product but only if it will be a bit cheaper. As 23.50€ per month is too much.
I truly enjoyed the product and packaging/use is so simple, clean and easy! Unfortunately, this color was a bit too light and too Auburn as I was shooting for a Chocolate Cherry shade. Hopefully, we’ll get it this time🍒🍫❤️
Could have used just a little more to pull through the ends. Really liked that it didn’t have a very strong smell. Haven’t washed it for the first time yet to see how it holds.
Great product but would prefer less plastic in packaging - colour filled pouches would do for me as I always mix from a bowl and apply by brush.
Also as I am roots-only - my bottle is only ever half full - therefore wasteful for packaging.
Hoping eSalon can take the next evolution to more sustainable packaging!

Love the hair colour, but I have twice cancelled the extra two items and you still keep sending them and worse still, charging me. Very difficult to get through to anyone to correct this Su I am thinking of cancelling the whole order unless this problem is solved now -
I gave it 4 stars because my hair came out good, except for some of the grey spots were not covered by this formula. I like the color and the texture, but please add something else to cover my grey hairs in the front and sides.
Happy with color, just wish it would last longer than a few days around the sides of my face.
I always seem to gray here first. I say that’s where I do the most thinking!

Time has added pure white strands through it, and last summer my mother tried to brush away “cobwebs” from my hair. She honestly mistook my white hairs for cobwebs. 😳
I work with teens on the autism spectrum, and especially two of them have immense pride in their pattern recognition and ability to spot the slightest visual changes.

Before trying e-salon, I tried supermarket hair dyes a few times. Since I had no experience with colors, I thought I had gotten my real hair color, but every time my hair turned into a very bad brown red color.
I thought I had nothing to lose by trying E Salon and placed my first order.
In the first evaluation, I chose the shades that I thought were my original color.
One day later, I received an e-mail from my colorist stating that these colors were too warm for me and that they had prepared my original hair color for me.
A week later I received my kit and I tried it right away.
I couldn't believe the results. Yes, I had my true natural color and my hair looked soft and shiny, not hard, unlike what I felt after using market dyes. There was no unpleasant smell while dyeing.
They are truly gorgeous and from now on it will be only e-salon for me. Thank you very much.
I have not achieved the color I want, I want a natural golden brown and my hair is very dark no golden highlights, I can’t keep purchasing colors that don’t change the color .Your product is great But I am not happy with the color you keep sending, every time I do my hair the color comes out very dark almost black. I want a lighter brown with golden highlights, Can this happen? I quit trying it cost a lot and I never achieved the desired result 😥
So I colored my hair as instructed, but I see big difference between ends and roots as I didn’t color roots.
After dying color on my roots is closer to dark blonde and ends are cooper. Either my roots color should have more reds or processing time should be longer, or Idk. But its not cool
This was the second color kit I ordered. The color in the first kit was a little too dark. I sent an email to my stylist who adjusted the color in my second kit. Very happy with the grey coverage, ease of use and color result.
I originally received color that did not color my grays. Then received a package that had leaked dye all over itself, when I received the new color. I finally received the correct color. The team here helped me without question and made sure I was satisfied. The color I have now is perfect!
This is the third time I used eSalon products. I had noticed last time that although I carefully followed the application instructions the grey was not completely covered. This time I requested a slight darkening of the shade. This seemed to work and I am happy with the results. The reason for the 4 star review is that is is very hard for me to really get to all the grey roots , especially in the back. So periodically I have to go to a salon for a true professional coloring.
Yes, that's three exclamation points! I've been using e-Salon for a few years, off and on, and decided to cover my gray entirely one more time before my 59th birthday, so I took the plunge.
Keep in mind, I was silver. And not the pretty kind. e-Salon has always been a great choice for home do-it-yourself, so I trusted their team.
The first time I colored my hair after letting it go completely silver, the color was too brassy. Too reddish ... I was going for Ash Blonde; the color nature gave me. So, I snapped a picture and sent it back.
I waited a couple of weeks and voila! My next shipment came with a note from a stylist.
They listened, and now? IT'S GLORIOUS!

I was very excited for this product coming in as I have been dealing with gray hair for a while I followed the instructions according to the box and did everything it said to do but still have lingering grey. I have contacted the company and waiting to see if they could help me fix it in hopes that we can move forward with the product because I do like it.
I am finding that coloring my own hair is not as easy as I thought it would be. I have trouble getting the color on my roots evenly and find myself missing places. That being said I am sure that I will get better with time and I do love the end result in spite of my struggles!
I honestly think everything was so simple, the instruction were easy to follow
But I lost the color on the 5th wash... and also I wanted the color to be lighter so maybe the color match is not that accurate
I have fairly short and fine hair.
At least half of the product needed to be thrown away once mixed, as there was too much for my hair. Also I was colouring roots only.
Next time I will try to save half of each, to mix for another time. Obviously this is going to save money.
Unless you can do smaller amounts at half the price?
I recently gave 2 stars as I wasn't happy with the product. ESalon reached out and fixed my hair colour. It was much better and I wasn't charged custom fee. I also want to say Goe fast and quick they handled it and I would recommend this product 👌 thank you
I'm a natural strawberry blonde, and over the years I had seen women attempting to dye their hair the same color as mine and they seemed to fail miserably. Never had the same tone or luster as mine, and I could spot the fake a million miles away.
Anyway, now I'm pushing 40 and the grays are coming in fast and loud, and I found myself in quite a pickle. How the hell was I going to keep my color without looking clownish??? In swoops Genevieve with eSalon, and she mixed up a color that was nearly an exact match to my real color. Love it!
Before finding esalon I used to do one of the below procedures for dying my hair:
Either buy an over the counter color and make my hair either orange or redculous
Go to a salon and pay 700 dollars to get the hade I liked
Now I have it so cheaper
The colour is beautiful and looks so lovely in the sun. The one and only thing that I find is that it turns light brown on grey hair, which makes me do my roots for 2 weeks, and I would instead prefer get 4 weeks out of the colour and it looks a little uneven. Not sure if there is an opportunity to tweak the formula for grey hair. :)
I enjoy the color a lot. But for some reason, the grays at the front where my temples are, just won't take to the color. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 rather than 5 stars.
Am I imagining it or is this last batch of color darker than what I started with. The product is high quality and easy to apply. It just seems a tad bit darker than the last application.
I love the color but wish was cheaper. Eventually I will have have to stop buying cause just got some surprises that our mortgage is going up so not happy about that. I love the color though , love that I have someone helping with right color match and it's made for me.
