This is a very good product. Just be cautious with the frequency of shipments! The color is as described and is long-lasting and conditioning. It is a little strong on the odor side so use a fan, open a window and make sure you have good ventilation. The smell does not last long, so that's a plus.

Color is perfect and stays good longer than any other product I've used. My natural color has no red or yellow and they nailed it. Very happy with this product, definitely worth it. Also leaves my hair in nice condition . PS I have thin hair that is pretty fragile.

The color is perfect every time. The colorists are great. Easy to use, great directions, I enjoy the extra touches such as stain guard and stain remover, 2 sets of gloves, sticker to hold directions, and the box is personalized with my name.

I'm loving this color and experience! I was sick of going to the salon all the time, it's too tedious for me, so when I heard of eSalon I had to try it! They provide super easy instructions and customer support is amazing. After I let them know I wanted my color a little more vibrant, they were able to adjust my second order color very easily (be sure the send pictures of your hair). I give 4 stars because formula is a little drying but other than that everything is great!

When I originally placed my order I selected a color which would have been an extreme transition to my current hair color, going from light level 10 blond to a dark brown/red color. Alexandria P, my colorist, suggested that I start with a lighter color and then transition to the darker color. Oh boy was she right! The custom color she selected came out beautiful and i love it. If I would have done what I should have originally requested it would have been a shell shock! The product and service is great. I will definitely be continuing and following Alexandria's guidance. I was new to home colouring after being made redundant during lockdown and was a bit nervous to be honest.
The instructions that accompany the colour set gives very clear information on how to mix your colour and it's application. The colour set is very easy to mix and does not smell overly strong and the results are as good as any salon visit.
Don't feel worried about trying to colour your hair at home, eSalon products are excellent quality and the enclosed instructions are very comprehensive, eSalon was recommended by a friend, and I won't be returning to a salon for my colour again.
UPDATE (Jan 2022): I have had good experiences with my hair color and with customer service. When I wasn’t completely satisfied with my first color formula, eSalon reached out to work with me on adjusting it and also gave me the next shipment free. I’m really liking the color now—with one adjustment, it’s more the strawberry blonde I was shooting for. I also feel my hair is healthier than it was when I was using box dye.
ORIGINAL REVIEW IN FALL 2021: appreciated the nice packaging and personalization. I also liked the low price for my first order, which included a free brush and color for ends as well as for roots. The process was pretty similar to box dye. The color is ok, not as red as expected. My hair looked a bit limp after and got oily within 24 hours. The color looks pretty good. I’m just not sure I want to pay 2-3 times as much as for box dye when I am not sure the result is noticeably better.
Was easier than expected coloring my hair with the premium kit. Everything needed was delivered. Gray coverage was excellent. Will reorder the custom color again. Thank you color experts.

I am a natural red head and have heard all my life that their wasn’t a salon who could replicate my color. I am in my mid thirties and have noticed some gray that I wanted to cover. However, I actually like my natural shade and did not want anything else. I went to a salon twice about 2 years ago. The color was nice but not what I was hoping for. Not to mention it costs a fortune. I am a mom to 2 kids so resources can be tight at times. I came across esalon and boy am I glad.
I kid you not, the shade is the exact match of my natural shade and it covered all of my grays. I am way more satisfied with my at home color treatment than I ever was with my salon visit.
The packaging was so cute and customized. The instructions were easy to follow especially for someone as hair challenged as myself.
I am one happy camper over here!!!! ❤️

The color after a slight adjustment looks as good as if I paid ten times more at the salon. It leaves my hair soft and the color lasts a good six weeks. I can’t see paying hundreds of dollars and wasting hours sitting in a salon when I can color myself at home.

This has saved me $$$. Far cheaper than going to the salon. My hair color is black and the color I chose is black to cover gray/white hairs. So putting it on is a no brainer; straightforward. I am a forever customer!

The instructions are perfectly written. Every single step is listed in order and with the exact times to mix, apply or wash off each product. The application itself is so easy, There's no way I could go wrong. The colors I've chosen from the chart were so perfect put together for me, I had the hardest time to find professionals that ever matched my dark blonde color choice without adding a red tint to it and now, I can do it myself with ease. I'm so happy with eSalon's Custom Color Set.

After a few tweaks due to me changing my mind about what I wanted. Went from medium golden blond to dark blond copper red after seeing a YouTube video with this shade. My colour consultant altered the formula to account for my grey hair.
I absolutely love the shade I have which has completely covered my grey and is still rich and vibrant although I’m about to redo my roots.
Over the moon with esalon as they just tweak and tweak to get it perfect for the client.

I waited for my second coloring to review, to see how the color lasted and covered greys over time. Yes, the color lasted, even over my greys, for the six or seven weeks between coloring! Yay!
The first color was a little too red, so I emailed before the next mixing and it was changed! It was so easy...not stressful at all!
I love my new, slightly browner shade with the fantastic red and copper tones! I just showed my friend and he said it looked professionally-done, which he had never said about my box dye jobs in over ten years of friendship! Oh, and I LOVE the tint rinse! Can't wait to try the weekly conditioner I bought this time!
So, don't hesitate! Fill out the questionnaire and free yourself from those crappy box colors (that can sometimes be hard to find!), spend just a little more money and time on yourself and show off your beautiful new shade!!

My hair stylist always compliments me on my hair color! I love the custom color system. The instructions are clear and simple. Just love the little sticker that comes with the instructions to put them on the wall leaving my vanity clear for the color products. The custom color is spot on and is very easy to use.

Really easy to use and hair in good condition not dry like some colorants.

I really like the color blend that eSalon has created for me. The color is very natural and the color application lasts longer than when I visited my stylist. My hair does not feel as damaged, either. The color blend is not monotone - it has varied shades that are natural-looking and that make for an overall great color.

Color is right on
Leaves hair soft and shiny
I'm pale with olive undertones. Every stylist at every salon thinks I should be red or auburn but those colors make me look sallow and ugh. The color from eSalon is the best I've ever gotten from a salon or a box! My hair is a rich, beautiful brown, not too dark. My grey is covered and my hair feels fantastic.
