...colored my own hair before. I've had my hair colored for many years, but always at a salon.
The e-color is perfect, and I am a little particular about it bec I don't wear make up and wear sort of neutral colored clothing so I like my hair a certain color. And, somehow through a stylist I've not seen, following some written directions, and by use of my own amateur hands....my color is perfect. Thank you!

This is my first time coloring my hair at home and it was relatively easy. The kit had everything I needed, gloves, application brush, shampoo/conditioner and gel to protect from skin coloring. The directions are very clear. I really like that all my white hair are nowhere to be seen and I got the strawberry color I wanted to change from my natural brown. Looks really good with my fair skin. Delighted!
The color is great and it doesn't fade! It's every bit as good as what I get in a salon and much better than the store bought brand I had been using. I highly recommend this product.
Update: it seems like the recent change in the formula fades more at the roots. I like the creamier consistency of the new formula better and I like the color, but I think I notice fading. And I only wash my hair 1 to 2 times per week.

The package and instructions were clear and not hard to do. The smell of the product is strong and color is almost black instead of a rich brown . I will try again as customer service was excellent and it is a good value.
Normally I have my hair coloured at the hairdressers-,however due to lock down I bought E Salon. Fantastic colour- very easy to use and would recommend.
Loved it, met my needs and more. Was hesitant about ordering it, but really pleased I did. So pleased the easy to follow detailed instructions and well fitting gloves. The end results were perfect, I felt it was just as good s as going to salon or better. Such a cost savings! So happy I tried it. Thank you
Ok so Covid closed my salon☹️ And I took the leap of touching up my color after much research including You Tube! Did the strand test—seemed perfect! Was concerned I would damage my hair/highlights. Followed directions given, still apprehensive. Amazing outcome! Frankly I like it better than what I get in the salon!! Now if you could show me how to trim it?! Thank you so much!! Stay healthy! 😷

Your product is really wonderful and is of excellent quality. It does just what it's says that it would do while leaving hair very soft shinny and manageable. I personally love it. T.Y. eSalon
The instructions are easy to follow. The color takes perfectly, and lasts long. It does not wash out as others I used to purchase. It's worth every penny. I will continue to use this product.
I can truly tell the difference between a box color and eSalon. Normally the box colors tend to look darker than what it should be, but eSalon come out like it should be. The fact that it was personalized just for my tones makes it look so natural. My order was for my roots only, but my ends were looking a little orangey which I just do not like so the last 5 minutes I had enough color to put it through my ends, and it came out so good. You can still see my highlights coming through and it looks great! Thank you so much, I am so pleased with the results.
Was extremely impressed with how accurate the color was to my natural hair color as well as the complete cover-up of gray hair. Hair color lasted much longer than usual for me and the condition of my hair remained healthy and did not dry out as the weeks went by. Except for the convenience of someone else dyeing your hair for you, there really is no reason to go back to a salon for the same product and outcome as you get with eSalon.com, but at a cost of about 75% less. Highly recommend!
I've always spent about $80 to get my hair colored. Since COVID, I was unable too like many others. I was skeptical about getting my color this way but it was perfect. I got everything I needed and the color was exactly what I wanted. Very pleased and look forward to continuing with this business.
Love this color. My custom stylist did an excellent job. The color is beautiful,and it totally covers the gray roots. I only used Esalon once and will be getting my 2nd order soon. It is easy, convenient, and i will not be going back to the expensive salons when i can get these kind of results with Esalon.
The color was a good match. This is the first time I used the product. Waiting to see how long the color remains the same color on my hair. Should know if there is any changes in 4 weeks. I was a little hesitant to use, because the mixture was a bright orange. I was pleasantly surprised how quick the color changed when applied. The chemicals have a strong smell. Will use again.
During this time of lockdown I faced the prospect of people seeing on FaceTime that I actually have grey hair ! ! Horror! I’ve dyed my hair since my twenties some thirty years ago. I am so impressed with this product. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get a good result as I had to section my hair and apply to the roots first, but it was easier than I thought. The results are perfect. I absolutely love the colour and will continue to purchase this instead of the home kits available in supermarkets.
The instructions are clear, easy to follow and there are "how to" videos on the esalon site, which are a God send.
The kit comes with absolutely everything that you need to colour your hair and give you the desired result. The safety leaflet provides information so that you can colour safely.

I liked the color, but was a little bright for me. I was able to tone down with color depositing shampoo. Overall the the color was pretty close. Better than I thought for first time use. I visit my salon every 4 weeks but due to the Covid-19 outbreak, I had to try something at home. My close friend uses esalon so I gave it a try. Very impressed.
My roots were showing and this did a great job of blending them in. the color is seamless and beautiful. I am a natural light-ish blonde and I chose light strawberry blonde. it looks very nice and honestly much better than expected. I had used box color previously and they were crap, made me look like a true fake redhead. But this one is amazing.The stawberry in this is super subtle which I actually like. would definitely recomment

I can’t believe I have dyed my hair! It looks so natural! All the colours have blended in with my lightened ends, the instructions were very clear and my hair is super shiny. It also doesn’t have that wet-dog smell you get from box dyes. Five big thumbs up 👍 for this product and to Tamara for blending it.
I am very impressed with color. My hair feels soft after coloring, which is important since I have long hair. I have colored my hair for more than 25 years. I even went to hair school when I was younger. This is easy and they give you everything you need to color your hair. ❤
Ok, so I was one of those girls that would only need to go to the salon. With the COVID-19 pandemic and not being able to go I thought...I can totally do this myself. I was so happy with the color! At first I wasn't sure because the rest of my hair color was so much darker, but overall its a softer brown that really compliments my skin tone, and blends perfectly with the rest of my hair. I was very happy with how it turned out. One piece of advice: if you can, get someone to help you. I had a hard time getting the back of my head, but my husband was able to and it worked out perfectly. I will definitely use eSalon again!
I had seen the reviews and thought that during lockdown I would give it a go. I didn’t expect it to match my colour, I mean how can they tell from a picture what my colour is. Well I received a few days ago and my daughter who is 15 read and followed the instructions to the letter. I have to say I’m so shocked at how good it is! I was concerned about matching the color to my existing shade but it matched perfectly. It was pretty easy to apply -- although I do appreciate my stylist's training. My hubby helped me with the back and it worked out great! I don't think I'm going back to the salon for coloring -- I'll do it myself. But now what to do about the cut???
I ordered my kit in September and it took 6 months and a pandemic lockdown, to get the guts to color my own hair! I finally caved and I am pleasantly surprised at the result! I like the color as it pretty much hit my target and it feels good. I anticipated some damage with a DIY but to date, that has not been the case! I'm re-ordering!
First time coloring my own roots - I have brown hair with highlights (and lots of grey) and needed to cover my roots since I can’t get to a salon - loved my formula it covered my roots and blended well against my blonde and covered my grey. Highly recommend watching the how to videos.
The color is perfect and the products are awesome . Loved the shampoo and the conditioner . No itching at all after application. That's the best part. Normally all hair colors give me itching in scalp.

This color matched perfectly, and left my hair feeling soft and manageable. The instructions were simple!
I selected all-over dark blonde. It did not turn out as light as I had hoped, and it pulled a heavy amount of red tone to it. Thankfully, I'm alright with that. I am, on the whole, satisfied. I will order again!
I usually go to a salon monthly for color but, due to the pandemic, I'm staying home & giving this a try. I bought the kit to cover my regrowth. The color seems pretty close to my base color and it covered the gray. On first try, I'm pretty happy with the results.
To apply the color, I parted my hair into 4 sections and used the bowl & brush method. I used a front & rear mirror, but the back of my head was still difficult to cover uniformly. I highly recommend having someone help with the application to the back of the head.
Thank you esalon for creating a product that actually works. My hair is medium brown with many stubborn grays and whites. I prefer to be blonde and have always gone to a hairstylist to color my hair because the hair color needs to include a lightener in it for my brown roots. With COVID19 I was desperate so I ordered hair color and applied it and it worked!!! Over the counter hair color is not able to lighten my brown roots. It might color my whites but it is usually not able to cover my stubborn grays; hence, a dismal result. This hair color, however, is fantastic and the team did a great job reviewing my pictures to help me select the correct color. Bravo!!!

I colored my hair last night with your custom color (for the first time), and my husband (who is an engineer, NOT a hair stylist) cut it immediately afterwards (another first). I was very skeptical to order hair color on line but, not been able to go to the salon to get my hair done due to the quarantine (Corona Virus) I decided to take a chance and order anyway. Coloring my hair has been an interesting experience at times so I was both excited and tentative when my kit from eSalon arrived. Well - I love it. Wow. I was definitely hesitant to buy a hair color online but I needed to fill in my roots. I was impressed with the ease of ordering and how spot on the color was from the color my stylist uses on me. It was a perfect match and looks better than the salon . I’m hooked . I have never colored my hair myself. I was worried about how the color would turn out. Being a red head I just couldn't fathom it. Well after this stay at home order, my roots were so bad I had to do something. This color set was so easy to use. I will keep coloring my hair my self - sorry to my hair dresser.
I used the root touch up kit this morning. It is dark blonde semi permanent and it did a good job of reducing the visual impact of the gray. The look is soft and light at the roots and it blended really well into the highlighted section of the hair. The whole process has done a great job of conditioning my hair as well. I will continue to use it in between salon visits.
I absolutely love this hair color product! It’s sooo nice and easy to use. I enjoy the brush to apply it. I also like the shampoo and conditioner. I have a short pixie haircut with blonde highlights and dark blonde base. I wanted to touch up the grey I have since my last salon visit while we are all staying in. I love my color. I was able to touch up my base color without losing my existing highlights. The process was so easy. I love it. All I need now is someone to cut my hair! I’m ordering the next color now!

I am glad I tried eSalon! I found the instructions easy to follow. The color came out great... which says a lot because my hair is difficult to color! I started having my hair colored almost 35 years ago... being a very curly red/blonde head my nature color started to disappear early. I have had some stylist disasters - too brown, too red, too purple - you name it! But this product was perfect the very first time. I will try it again! TY.
I used the bowl method, love how the color has the consistency of pudding. My hair is short, so a little tricky avoiding the highlighted hair, especially in the back, but it covered gray really well, and the color looks like I get in the salon. Once Safer at home is lifted, new highlights. I was due anyway. I love the color and kit, definitely recommend using eSalon if you need to do your hair at home.
I really wanted to give 5 stars: the care with which the color was sent was so great, the directions were easy, but my greys did not get covered. 😢 my hair feels great, strong and shiny and I love the color that I received which is almost a perfect match to the salon hair I had.
