This was my second application. The first one didn't last very long, maybe 3 weeks. I left the second application on for longer, about 40-45 minutes and the color was much richer. No more expensive salons hair coloring for me ever again!
My hair was silky and shiny. This was my first time. I did not use as much as I should have with the brush, tho I kept it in for 30 minutes. I found the how-to video and will follow that for my next treatment.
Very surprised how fast I received this product although when I went to open the box, color must have leaked out of the second color bottle. There was color on the outside of bottle, in the plastic holder that the bottles sat in, the inside of box and instructions. I had to be careful taking everything out of the box. I’m pleasantly surprised how my hair turned out, it did cover my grays and will determine if I purchase again on how fast my grays come back.
As blondes will know it is the hardest colour to get right, it was perfect from the first time , very natural blonde,It arrives every six weeks on time just mix and go , give it A GO YOU WILL NOT REGRET it,
1st time went a little red but thats my hair. So the next time I told my colorist and it came out so perfect dark golden blonde. I will never go back to the salon. Years being double booked paying $100 I just need to learn high lights.
I just wanted to highlight my hair a bit. Not cover the gray as I really like them! It turned out perfect! (Although I only used one bottle so it wouldn’t cover everything!)
The ordering process was very personable and quick. I ordered medium brown which came out to be a beautiful color, however, it ended up being a lot darker in my hair than I wanted. I will most likely be getting my hair professionally done from now on.
Very easy to apply.. i love the color but it was a little darker than I wanted but that was my fault. The stylist recommended a. Lighter color but I. Chose a darker one. I am almost three weeks in and the color is still the same as when I first applied it. I have lots of gray and it cover it well.
I thought it was going to be too dark blonde and not enough copper but not only was the color spot on (just like it was for my daughters wedding) but it had great staying power and my hair felt really healthy
This was my first time using this product, as well as coloring my roots myself. The instructions were very clear, and I’m happy with the results, other than the color has just a tiny bit too much gold in it. I get my hair highlighted and this did not mess with that effect. While I am pleased with the results, as well as how great my hair feels, I’ve told my hairdresser that her job is safe...unless this shelter-in-place continues another 2 months!
I’ve coloured my hair a few times in the past but usually go to a hairdresser and spend upwards of £100.
With the current lockdown I decided I’d have a change and do it myself ( as well as cutting it myself!). I saw this advertised and thought I’d give it a go. I usually highlight my mousy brown hair but it has been a bit patchy recently and I didn’t like it. I have always wanted to go copper and decided to go for it.
I chose intense copper and did it last week. I really love the colour. It feels so soft and healthy which it hasn’t for a while now. It was really easy to do as well.
It didn’t come out as coppery as I had hoped. I emailed and am now getting a new colour to put on to enhance the copper tone in my hair. I totally get that everyone’s hair is a different level of porosity ( is that a word!) and you never know how it will come out!
I’m so happy that the customer service is such that you detail what you want to change and they get straight back to you and change it. I am sure that I will get the copper colour I want next and I’ll maintain with the tint rinse and colour care shampoo and conditioner. Thank you guys for a perk up during this weird time!
I have naturally strawberry blonde hair at my roots, and am pretty light blonde all over. My typical hair routine as a light blonde is balayage every 2-3 months, with a glaze in between my partial balayage appointments. I was very nervous to try this product as my color match was "light blonde", and as someone who has never died their own hair at home with permanent dye, I was very nervous I would end up looking like Bozo the Clown with Bright Orange hair. I am also not someone who ever gets single process color application so this also made me a little hesitant.
This product was very easy to use. I did not apply it perfectly, I really just focused on my roots at my part and around my crown and slightly under. I was shockingly surprised at how great the results were! My grays/white were completely covered up. My roots lightened as well and did not turn a hideous color orange! Woohoo!
I did as instructed and also used the remainder of the product on my entire head. It reminds me of when I get glosses in between my balayage appointments. It does take that "pop" of blonde out of your hair if you are used to getting glosses and are not always satisfied with the result, but overall I am very very satisfied! I am a hugely tough critic who always feels like my blonde could be brighter, but this was a great experience and I will be using it again! I already recommended to many women in my group of friends including my mom who already ordered a box!
Another positive note, (and something I was very afraid of), was that this box of dye would absolutely ruin my hair quality and fry it off. My hair feels quite the opposite--super healthy and shiny!!!
Because I am wanting to brighten up this gloss, I just ordered the light balayage kit and can't wait for it to be delivered! Will post another (hopefully) positive review!

the products and instructions were straightforward and easy to use. My hair looked shiny and healthy. My only issue was that I requested information on dealing with my highlights in my first order, but didn't receive any feedback on how to handle them.
I was so nervous about colouring my hair at home as I have always had it coloured in a salon. Obviously due to the current lockdown that isn’t possible. I answered the online questions and uploaded a photo of myself and ordered the set to touch up my roots and cover the grey. The set took longer than expected to arrive but eSalon were in contact to inform me about my order status. Given the current circumstances a delay in delivery was to be expected. My set arrived and contained my personalised hair colour, developer, brush, gloves shampoo, conditioner, skin guard, stain remover and my personalised instructions. I had a couple of queries and so reached out to eSalon - they were helpful and reassuring. I performed a strand test before moving to full application and I couldn’t be happier with the results! A perfect match and my greys totally covered. . My instructions were easy to follow and the application was mess free. I have purchased the plan and I’m now totally converted. Thank you eSalon!
Very good product if you are unable to get to your salon. Very easy to use and true color. I would like a little shine and that would be my only criticism
I have some very resistant grays and it is now 3 weeks post color. The areas of colored gray have faded some but it is still colored. I am generally very happy with this. A little pricey but cheaper than the hair dresser.
Closest to my natural color I had this far and covers the few greys I have well . The color doesn’t fade as quickly as other colors I have used prior .
This is the first time I have ever colored my hair myself. What a good experience! The directions were very clear and easy to follow. I will definitely use eSalon again. The hardest part was finding clips to section and tie up my hair. The color is perfect My only problem is that I see I missed a few places and can still see the gray. Is there a way to fix this now?
This was a revelation for me when we went into lockdown. For 30 years I had been going to my salon for everything, including a weekly wash and blow dry, believing that I could not manage my own hair. I have spent obscene amounts of money on my hair and my colour, which I believed could only be achieved professionally. By chance I stumbled on the eSalon website and thought, what the heck, what do I have to lose? Being somewhat sceptical but looking at my every lengthening grey roots, I ordered my custom colour. I watched every tutorial eSalon had on youtube and read my instructions meticulously. The mixing of the product was easy and application was somewhat less easy, but manageable, I think practice makes perfect. I decided to use the brush and bowl method of application as I think it is more precise. Its not easy to do the back but I think this product is very forgiving. The results were astounding! Every grey hair was covered and the colour, although needed tweaking a little, was beautiful. I have a rich mahogany with red tones. I have messaged my colourist and asked for more red in the shade, so watch this space and we will see how it turns out in 6 weeks. I also invested in GHD's and a great hairdryer and I blow dry my own hair much better than my hairdresser. Who would've thought? This is seriously a top drawer company, with top drawer products. My hair is shiny, bouncy and looks fantastic. I was paying £150 every 6 weeks to have my colour done! Its strange how we adapt when we have to. I can honestly recommend this company and their products. If the colour isn't exactly what you want, I trust them to get it perfect!
My most recent color is my favorite formula so far!

I’m wanting to touch up my roots at home due to Covid-19. I’ve had to try a few adjustments in the past but this last one darkest brown and 10V neutralizer has been the best color matching. Also, I do not want a permanent color and prefer Demi-permanent instead.
I loved absolutely everything about this kit. I even could dye my hair evenly (which is quite a challenge for me :))), but I got tone darker than I was before :(((
I should have tried a lighter blonde. The color is darker than I expected, but definitely works. It does have the red/gold color that I was hoping it wouldn't have. However, it is still a pretty color overall.

This was the first time in many years that I've colored my own hair (a "Lucille Ball red" disaster last time!). So I really took several trips to the eSalon site before deciding to pull the trigger on an order, trying hard to get it right. I was NOT trying to do anything but continue the overall color I'd been having done - but on my own because of the virus shutdown. I also am a skeptic about buying lots of "add ons" and special products - I just wanted the basics but good quality basics. That is EXACTLY what I got. I feel great about the ease of use, the quality of the color and I look forward to seeing how the color "ages" over the next few weeks. I learned some things I'll do a little differently next time - but other than that, I used the instructions as given and would recommend this as a product for the unskilled home colorist!
I finally got the nerve to let my husband color my hair for me. I love it and my husband! I'll be doing this for now on. I'll have to help clean up afterwards though, he got a little on the kitchen cupboard and wall. LOL
I've dyed my hair a ton in the past, I'm 33 and especially in my teen years I never liked my natural hair color. After a few recent years of cleansing my hair out and chopping off all the dead crusty hair, I finally had my natural color back. It felt great but the sun took the dark tones away. I came across eSalon randomly and decided to try it. I went for a dark plum type black. Immediately the next day I received a friendly voicemail about the color I chose. It was out of stock and when I called back and talked to a stylist I ended up saying they could choose what they thought would look best. That was one of the best choices I have made for my hair. It looks amazing and it feels healthy still!

I am a natural redhead. As I am aging, my hair has faded to a strawberry blonde around my face. I feel like it washes me out. However, red hair color fades so quickly and I just can not afford to go to the salon that often.
I have NEVER colored my hair at home before this. Drugstore brands In red always look either fake or too brown. I saw the ad for e-salon and since we are social distancing for COVID19, I thought ‘why not?’ I’m so glad I gave it a try.
I was petrified my hair was going to look either patchy or fake. Nope!!! I am soooo pleased with the results. The directions were easy to follow and for my first attempt, I think it turned out great. My son and my BFF will be brutally Honest with me. Both said it looks fantastic. Bff can’t believe I did it myself. My hubby loves it.
I am sooo happy! No more washed out /old looking hair. I know it probably will fade quickly as most reds do but I plan to try the tint rinse with my next order.

Seriously. This hair dye kit was 10000% worth it. I've done the whole box dye years ago, then started going to salons twice or thrice a year, then as of recent stopped being able to afford the salon. So I tried Artic Fox and Overtone to maybe help refresh my black hair for longer, but they never lasted very long and didn't cover my greys (semi-permanent, duh).
I didn't wanna go back to box dye cause I know it's not good for my hair, so I was looking for the best alternative I could find without having to figure out the Sally's hair dyeing aisle. I think you can guess the rest.
The sign-up was not only extensive and easy to navigate, but when the kit came in everything was ready to go with step-by-step instructions. It took me almost half the time it would normally take for me to dye my hair with box dyes, and actually covered ALL of my roots, including my greys. I'm already like 4 weeks in and my hair is still looking as black as the queen of darkness herself, Morticia.
So do I recommend this? Oui.

You know that feeling of being unsure about the color you are picking when at the store? Well you don't have to worry anymore. The team at e-salon will make sure you get the right color to compliment you! Take the guess work out of your next color.
I think the color is great. The only problem is that it doesn't completely cover around the ears. I'm on oxygen and use a cannula and my husband is the one who applies the color. Being a retired hairstylist myself I think he's scared to put much there because he's afraid that itll stain my skin. I've told him not to worry about it. Anyway. I think it makes the color look more natural. Thank you for making my color to my specs, and changing it up after I do the surveys. I think this is a wonderful product and the employees are always nice acting.

Mindy was able to send me a color that perfectly matches my natural color and it did a great job covering my grays. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because I didn't have quite enough conditioner to cover my hair after the coloring was done. There was plenty of shampoo, but I have long hair and the conditioner didn't quite give me the coverage that I would have liked. Otherwise, everything about this experience, so far, has been awesome!
I was so sick of paying $100+ dollars every 8 weeks on my hair. This has been the perfect solution. After a few tweaks, my color is perfect. I get compliments all the time.
I loved the color and my specialist worked closely to really understand the color I wanted. I would give this five stars, except the dye on the tips has washed back out to almost my natural color. There is only a tint of color left. But I love the color of my roots and my specialist has been very helpful in working to achieve the perfect color!

I’ve tried Madison reed, L’Oréal, clarion. Non even compare to the quality of e-salon
The first time I ordered a light brown shade looking for a color similar to what I had at the time and liked. I included a few pics and placed my order. I got an email back suggesting a lighter shade as they thought my choice would have been too dark for me. I took their advice and it was very nice but noticed a bit of a reddish tint in the sun which I do not like. I requested that they tone this down so they adjusted it. Now I absolutely love my color. It’s a dark blonde shade that I think is pretty with my complexion. It’s a nice rich light brown and has blond highlights in the sun. Perfect for me. 😊
I appreciate that my colorist looked at my picture and compared it to the color I chose. She altered the color based on the picture, and it turned out very nice. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that I like a more intense red than I got with this color. I am hoping it is adjusted with my next set. Hair felt very nice afterward.

My natural color is a medium brown/medium Auburn, but I have been dying it varying shades of brighter reds for 20+ years (both professionally and at home).
For my most recent professional dye, I had to come down from a very dark wine color to get back to my old favorite; Copper! Because that was quite a process, I had faded back out to a darker orange-y blonde, and blonde is NOT my color!
I can’t afford to keep getting it redone professionally, and, as a nursing student, I don’t really have time to, either! This color is so rich and perfect! Will definitely be subscribing.
It was a perfect match. I just wanted to cover my greys which are mostly around my hairline. The colour was exact, it was really impossible to even tell that I had dyed my hair except the greys were gone. The only thing I didn't like as much was how thick the product was. If it was a bit more liquidy it would work through my hair a bit easier. I was worried ordering online but I will likely continue with esalon.
I am 54, and I don't want my hair color to accentuate my age. If you look around, as people age, they dye their hair red or black and they look really old. It's recommended to go lighter rather than darker. I wanted light brown but never got it. I am ready to give up on eSalon because it's never right.

The colorists do a great job at matching your hair color. The color has amazing depth coverage is better than store bought. Gray coverage, especially around the face (fine hairs) is hard to keep covered though. It's probably human error but I try to cover around the frame of my face but it's hard. Other than that, I'm enjoying the program.

I like my colour even though it is still to dark. Found it really messy using a tray and brush. I will just use the bottle application next time and see how I go.
I am now well over to a year in using Esalon. My hair colour is now really nice. I still find the product quite messy, but nothing that can’t be washed off. My hair also feels quite sticky after colouring not sure why, so I just re-wash it.
I like being able to email a colourist to discuss my requirements.
Recently moved to a mountain village and pretty much letting gray just run its course. Well as predicted I felt I needed a hair adjustment one problem no nearby salon, YEKS! Stroke of luck of Just by coincidence while online I discovered eSalon! And I am loving it -- firstly went with a dark brown -- mostly covering gray! Then adjusted color to a medium brown reducing brassy tones then the wild of my soul said "Highlights", well that didn't go very well definitely an operator error! No problem just colored over highlights! Well I'm going to give it another try this time "following the instructions! ESalon provides the tools, great products and the luxury and ease to self create beautiful hair! Just follow the instructions trust me they provide them for a good reason
The color and product are practical and easy to use; color lasts and it is gorgeous.
My only request is to adapt the instructions and amount of product indications for very fine or spare hair. Other than that, all good.
Love the color, it matched my skin color perfectly. The only issue that I have is that I have very resistant grey hair in the front, so after only 1 week, I already started seeing grey roots coming thru. What should I do next?
I used to use Sallys but they discontinued my colour. Saw eSalon on Facebook and decided to try. They got my first colour exactly right!!
The second package came damaged, and less than two weeks later I had a brand new whole kit for free!! Love eSalon & I'm so thankful to have found them!!
My hair is oily and clumpy after using your shampoo and conditioner. But after rewashing it with my own brand, it was okay and the color remained true. Nice service and detailed packaging gives you an additional star from 3.
I have Ben going to the salon to get my hair colored for years and I found this product easy to use. It leaves your hair soft and manageable. The only thing I didn’t like is that it left me with a lot of red highlights. Hopefully is an easy fix for the next shipment .
My natural rich red hair has been fading in color little by little over the last 10 years as well as getting some pure whites by my hairline. Esalon gave me back as close to my natural hair color as I could ever get. Never thought I could have it back. I do have comparable pictures of my Virgin hair color and esalon 15 years apart and I'm impressed. My application could be better, but I'll learn..I hope. Wish I could post the after pic.
I will say, the smells when first opening the bottles almost gagged me...and I told myself...no...won't do this. But, it dissipated quickly. I used the product and loved how it went on, loved how it went off...loved how the shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel and look. Yes, I will be staying with this color set, especially for me. Another perk...it is all mine! : )
The first colour was sadly far darker than what I expected, I emailed the company and they recommended some products to remove the colour, I did and then sent them pictures, I received a phone call from a colourist asking specifically what my goals were and was sent not 1 but 2 bottles of dye completely free, and I love my colour now!
They handled my complaint so well and that can not be faulted.
Would deffo recommend sending a picture of your hair so they know exactly what they’re working with.
I have long, thick, dry, frizzy, coarse red hair, which is very difficult to color, because it's the least porous hair, therefore, coloring it DOES NOT last! No matter what I did, how often I cut it, condition it with every wash, going to salon after salon or bought something from the store and doing it myself. Two months later, the color was gone, so I was just wasting my money! For the longest time, I had been reading about eSalon, debating over whether or not to try them. VERY glad I did!!! Not only does the color last(at least 5-6 months!), but it is a lot closer to my natural hair color(copper), and doesn't turn out burgundy, like all the other times I've had it colored! And, I'm not even paying half of what I was going to a salon!
The color has a better look than what I was using. I am trying to go from darkest brown that looks black to a dark brown or brown black. Another words, a shade down. My gray is beginning to pop through but in the regrowth only. Usually anything other than almost black fades and the gray is revealed. This color has stayed where I put it. In certain lights I do see my roots are brown. I will have to hang in there while I am 2 toned.

My first mixture had just a little bit too much red for my liking. so I sent them a note just within days of them shipping me my new products and they made a correction that quick. I love the color correction, it was the best thing I did. Within days my new color was here within the corrections. So far so good
