Not pleased with result of color or condition of hair.After using the product my hair was dull and dry with no highlights. I received a better result with an over the counter product which I normally use. The color was not bright, turned out very dull and dingy. Ruined my hairI used your product and turned my hair black ...I went tout a salon to fix it and they had to make my whole head dark not the light brown that it usuallyis so now I have to wait months to even go lighter because they did a stran test and it turned orange ......never .again and you should at least get a pic of the persons hair and match it better .....I now have very dark hair and I'm not happy .....the salon said that your product does not have the products you claim ... Doesn't live up to expectationsI bought this product hoping that it would be better then the products I have been buying from the beauty supply store. This hair color didn't last any longer then the $4.00 box I bought at ulta. After the fist wash (using the recommended shampoo and conditioner purchased through esalon) the color was noticeably faded. I was very disappointed with how much fading there was. I gave esalon 3 attempts at adjusting the formula but there wasn't any difference. Base color is too brassy stillI have been trying to work with eSalon to get them to help me. They seem responsive to a point, but when I continue to struggle with the issue after many attempts, I thought they could tell me, "Well, try this instead." They did suggest Tinted Love, but still it doesn't subdue it enough. Not that goodSorry but this hair color/product is no better than the supermarket brands. Doesn't have staying color plus my hair lost its shine completely! Also hate the color the colorist recommended, said we couldn't go the color we wanted (come on, I have been coloring my hair more than 30 years) but I said, OK, she is the expert, right? COLORI want RED hair, I have expressed I want RED hair! instead I have dark, almost black with very little hints of RED. Only can see in extreme bright light! So far I am not happy at all. The first color I got wasn't much different. On the second order I spoke to them on the phone....... guess they didn't understand. I want to go from my natural med brown to RED. colorI have tried for over a year to get my color right. I am not a satisfied customer at this point. At one point you made my hair so dark I Had to go have it professionally lightened. Send new pics and starting over explaining over, and over, and over. Less brown more RED. I AM A RED HEAD. brown to copper. To much copper then red. THEN IM ORANGE. well guess what. I have to have it corrected professionally again. I give up. I don't know what to say. You did have it right a few times. But if I asked for change it didn't work. Sorry. Not satisfied. Unfortunately disappointedI'm not sure how this went wrong. I ordered a darkest brown color for my hair, which is mostly already overall a dyed darker shade of brown. I applied color to roots as instructed and then waited the given time, later applied the color to my ends and waited..Followed after rinsing instruction. I couldn't tell till my hair was dried that the parts that had faded from my old color from a few months ago were not even darker (I naturally darker brown hair with ash blonde streaks, so when color fades, I've noticed that streaked area tends to do so first). One of the reasons I wanted this product regularly was to do my roots of course, but also at this time I wanted to cover that streaked area, from time to time into a darker shade, a shade of darkest brown.. It wound up a medium kind of mousey brown at best on that area. Very little change whatsoever, if at all. Very Bad Quality Hair ColorI noticed that it wasn't working well when 30 minutes passed and I didn't see the roots any lighter. I followed directions and didn't get good results at all. It did not cover grays at all and my scalp and hair are still extremely dry from the product. I will not be ordering again in the future. Wish it lasted moreI have highlights and I don't use regular shampoo. I use hair cleaner with no sulfates and I clean my hair twice a week. The grey coverage starting fading quicker than expected. Not enough pigmentation to color my hair to my desired color.I am canceling my account and will not order again. I sent pics of the color of my hair and sent a pic of the desired color I was seeking. I'm not saying this is a bad product but it does not work for me and my gray hair. I followed directions and even extended time left on as I know I have a lot of gray. While this product may or may not contain more pigment then shelve bought colors but not enough to achieve the color I was seeking. Misleading Coloring ContentsLove the product, hate the customer service and misleading website. Made my first order in June and was very happy with the product. However, when my second shipment in July arrived it did not include the applicator brush. Which is shown on the website to be included with the order for all the price points. So I sent in a support ticket and didn't hear anything back for 2 weeks, so I put in another and got an email back saying that the coloring kit doesn't include the application brush. I sent them a picture of their website showing that it "includes all the tools you need" (which includes the application brush) and they said that is only with your first order, well it doesn't indicate that on their website. So, instead of dealing with a misleading website and subpar customer service, I am canceling my subscription. Great color/bad applicationThis is the third time I've used the esalon service for my hair color. They have tweaked my color to one that I do really like however the application part of it is not one that I enjoy. I understand I am not a professional but I have loads of experience in both applying my own color and having my color professionally done. The first time using it I don't recall any issues, the second time using it I couldn't get the color to rinse out, it felt like it seized up on my scalp and I literally had to scrub my scalp extremely hard with my nails in order to get it out. I actually emailed about it and was told to use a clarifying shampoo. I just applied this again today (thinking maybe I did something wrong or I was just the unlucky recipient of a faulty mix) and the same thing happened again. I had to scrub to get the seized product off my scalp. I followed the directions extra cautiously because of the last time and it still happened. I love the final color but am angered over the experience and unfortunately will be cancelling my subscription as a result. Hair Feels Full of ProductI will start of by saying the colour is great, I am just disappointed by how horrible my hair feels. I had now washed it 3 times (in one day) and it still feels sticky from product I am hoping the 4th shampoo will get the rest out. Also the mess!!! The application of root touch up was great but when it came to step 2 it was far too runny and went everywhere, so much so I had to stand in the garden as it was dripping all over the place. Tried new colorI changed my normal color to a dark brown with a purple tint to it. While the product covered my hair well, it did NOT change my color at all. I followed the directions to a tee, I event timed each step with my phone to get it right. My hair is colored and it looks nice but their is no difference from my usual color. Something is wrong!Two times the coloring clumped up in my hair like a waxy substance that took 3-4 washing with shampoo other than the shampoo provided. The first time it happened I figured it was me and I had read the directions wrong. The second time I especially paid attention and followed directions. It still clumped. My hair is normal, color treated (every 2 months for root touch-ups), a bit dry but not abnormal. I use minimum styling products just a touch of hair spray or flat iron protection. I air dry my hair. Not really designed for dark black Asian hair.This is the third tweak I've made to my custom hair color. I really want purple-ish hair (there used to be a L'Oreal Feria deep purple color) but my dark black Asian hair really needs to be bleached before taking on any color. Great idea but needs some tweakingI love the idea of having my hair color on a timed schedule, and delivered straight to my house. I like the custom blending. My one complaint is that it is not nourishing at all to my hair! Mixed Feelings.So I was going from bleach blonde to black and decided to go with eSalon as I'd seen many videos on YouTube about how great their products were. The first package I had included a "filler" color of red which is needed before going dark again, and then a demi-permanent "Soft Black" to go over top. At first I was extremely unhappy, the color applied black but didn't come out as black. I ended up with a mousey brown color that I really disliked, so I contacted my colorist. I have to say, eSalon's customer service is incredible, super friendly and helpful and has a really nice personal touch which is great. I then got sent out a permanent Soft Black with blue tint color as I had requested, free of charge in line with eSalon's policy which I thought was amazing. After applying that according to the instructions, I rinsed it out and voila, had such shiny beautiful black hair just like I wanted! Now here is my problem, not even two weeks later my hair has faded almost entirely back to the original mousey brown it was that I disliked. I'm devastated, as this color was supposed to be permanent, and anyone who has ever dyed their hair black knows how very permanent that color usually is. I'm extremely disappointed as I thought this would be the best route for my hair but alas it has been a whole load of back and forth between dying and then the product not living up to my expectations. This could just be my hair and it may be that it just doesn't work with it, but I have to say to have a "permanent" color fade almost totally within two weeks is extremely disappointing. Although I would say my experience wasn't the greatest I know there are plenty of people who have had great experiences with this company and products. Refund is impossibleI waited two weeks, no product; requested a refund and turned off auto order. I was offered another delivery which would also take nearly two weeks; after my written request to cancel that order, I receive notice that another shipment is on the way. It does not meet my expactationThe color is too chemical - the smell is too strong and the feel of hair totally changed since I put the color on. MehWhen it comes to at home color, I want easy. I don't want to wait so many minutes then use another bottle and wait more. When attempting to wash out the color after processing, I was concerned. I rinsed until the water ran clear and used the packets that came with it. However, my hair was so stiff and almost sticky. I took a shower again the next morning, at lunch and again at night only using conditioner hoping it would help. It took a few days for my hair to feel normal again.
