eSalon haircolor is great in color and that there is no bad odors that other color products have. I will only use eSalon for any needs.
I have been coloring my hair for almost twenty years. I only let the salon professionals handle the serious lightening jobs (I change my color quite often). And while this product is more expensive than the box colors, it’s totally worth it. No surprises. No funky colors. Just perfection. My biggest surprise was how the color blended my roots and ends seamlessly! I will definitely continue ordering from these guys (until I decide to lighten again). I love the custom hair color. I use to use grocery store box color. I loved it also. I used L’Oréal Féria. I got a great auburn color and got lots of compliments. But after while I couldn’t understand why my hair was so frizzy and unmanageable. So I tried esalon and I was impressed with the first color. My hair started behaving instantly. So I now color with them every 6 weeks and treat my hair with sulfate free products. I only pay a few extra dollars than I did with the L’Oréal boxed color. And my hair is way happier.
Since using eSalon over the last few month, I notice a difference in my hair and the shine to it. It is great to have someone you can contact about making updates before each shipment.
This is my 3rd order. On my first order, I sent a picture of my hair and they formulated the perfect color. On this order, I wanted my color a little warmer for the fall. It turned out great! I am a redhead and was nervous about using an online service, but every time it turns out great! I did have trouble at first with the waxy residue after coloring. I contacted esalon and they instructed me to really work in the leftover color when rinsing and it worked! I use to spend a lot of money at a salon for the exact same look I get with esalon.
I was a little nervous about doing a red at home, but I finally decided to do it and boy was I happy!! The color is so rich and was exactly what I was going for. I will need a little adjustment for next time as my roots are a little lighter than the rest of my hair, but I will absolutely be keeping this color and continuing to use this product. So easy and everything you need is provided!!

The added personal touch of having my name on each product is such a nice added bonus, makes me feel like I'm not just a number, also assures me that there has not been a mistake in my order (always reassuring). I've had the same color for a couple years, have had to make a couple tweeks with the color as my tastes change, it's never a problem, it's done and done well. My color feels natural and yet has beautiful highlights. Because of the numerous compliments I always get, I know it's perfect for me.
Great color and experience. Everything was written and tailored to me. My medium ash brown color was great and it’s the first time doing a home dye that it hasn’t come out black! Just a nice dark brown!
I tried this service because I noticed my hair was changing and store color just wasn't cutting it anymore. I can't afford to have a stylist color my long hair. This is perfect! I can do it, the color is great and lasts. It doesn't mess up my hair. I have adjusted the color and ship times at least twice and have never had a problem. I am going to try their shampoos now. I just moved to a new city and state where I don't know anybody. I went to the local salon and they gave me over to a girl who likes to chat too much! I hated it! I also didn't like the $125 bill. I have literally spent thousands on salon dye jobs. I am a natural redhead so color is difficult. I finally got fed up with the blotchy and tired results from stylists. I just wish the hair dye was made with more natural products & then I would be a customer for life.. The intense amonia/ hair dye smell is pretty intense. Please make your products more natural
When i ordered the color i was a bit nervous because my hair was light and i was changing it to a darker mahogany color. When i first colored it, it was very dark. It lightened after a few washes but i did message the color specialist about it and the response was really quick. I was happy that they took my idea of what i had wanted and made a change. We will see how next month turns out.
I love this color! I was buying from a box and waiting for it to fade to get the color I wanted. With esalon I get the color I want the day I apply and it lasts until my next color (sunlight dependent of course). I get a lot of compliments on my color. It is the perfect color for me, looks salon colored, I love it!

Thought I’d give this a go after swapping from salon colour to doing it at home. I like the consistency of the colour and the fact that there’s plenty of it. My sister suggested I try this service and I am glad I did. I was a little nervous about the actual color, but was willing to try it. And I really like the color. I wanted something that would not make my skin look so washed out, and the colorist created a very nice mahoganey color that is great. I have received a lot of good comments on the color. The only thing I have a problem with is that when I wash my hair, it clumps together and I have no choice but to use a conditioner, which I have to anyway, but it bothers me about the way my hair clumps together. I suppose that is the way it is made, but I can deal with that to have this awesome color. I definitely would recommend this service to anyone who wants a beautiful, customized color experience.

I ordered the color and it shipped immediately. I used it the day I received it and that was 6 weeks ago. My hair is as red today as it was the day I first applied it! I had my hair colored professionally 19 months ago. I just didn't want to go and sit to have it touched up, such a waste of my time. So, I saw esalon's ad on Facebook and thought to myself "I can do that". I watched the videos and followed the steps to customizing my color. I received my order quickly. I have switched from Maddison-Reed online coloring and am much more satisfied with esalon. I am fairly new to coloring my hair and just wanted to cover my grays. Maddison-Reed was always too dark, even after choosing lighter colors 3 different times. After using an esalon colorist, she got my natural brunette color exactly with a little kick of red with a nice shine. Just what I asked for and am very happy.
I have been using the custom color since 2014 and although, I have to make adjustments every now and then either to the color or the timing, I can totally rely on the product arriving when expected and the results to be perfect every time. I love having the color on hand for whenever I am ready to use it and not having to run to the beauty supply store. Since I am now 55 and my gray is a lot more prominent I do not want to look like I am 55, so I color about every 3-4 weeks. I'm naturally dark brown but well over 50% gray and have gone dark blonde with med to light blonde highlights. The recommended shade for root touch ups was much darker so I chose medium blonde instead.. It perfectly covers what's left of my dark roots and blends the gray with my highlights.
This is an easy product to use. I have bought store brand boxes before but I really like this one better. My color looks rich and so nice every time. I like that it comes in the mail and not have to go to the store it so discreet. I will continue to use only this and I recommend it to others as well. I have used the hair color my colorist suggested and I absolutely love it! The color is great and I really like how shiny my hair looks after I add the color. The shampoo and conditioner that come with the hair color are wonderful. I will be ordering more shampoo for daily use.
I must admit I was VERY skeptical, in fact, I waited an EXTRA month before I tried the product because I was anxious the product would ruin my hair since I use a keratin on my hair and was afraid it may damage it or possibly have my hair fall out. I was WRONG! This product was not only BETTER than the salons, the natural red color I choose was PERFECT, better than perfect. PLUS my hair was soft, and shiny NOT dull and brittle. I give this product 5 stars, I'm so glad I gave it a try, I'm now hooked!!
I love how easy coloring my hair is. The instructions make everything very easy. I have had one comment from a daughter that said I was getting my hair to golden/yellow and needed to darken the color.
I've tried most every brand of hair color that I've been aware of. I do like this one the best of all. It isn't drying and the color isn't flat but comes out looking like natural color. I'm 80 years old and don't want to look like a fake doll...this color is believable and leaves my hair looking alive. It gives the impression of thicker hair also.

Yes, that's right! 5 months ago, my stylist informed me that "she got a raise" - she explained, that I would pay my normal fee of $130 this time but next time it would cost me $147 - tack on a $10 tip and it will now cost me $157 ------- I have my hair done every 5 weeks!!! I'm done!!!
I saw an add for esalon and decided to try it. O_M_G! The color was perfect, instructions were easy to follow, the kit included gloves, shampoo, conditioner, and wipes to prevent/remove color on the skin during application. All for $20 and an hour of my time. With my savings, I ordered additional items to aid in application: mixing bowl, brush, cape. Never again will I pay outrageous salon fees.

I was skeptical about this hair color and if I would get same great gray coverage as my salon color and I did! They have great customer service and I'm no longer paying high fees to color my hair, which was every 5-6 weeks and sometimes monthly. They also prepared exactly the color I have been using!

eSalon definitely got the color right when they sent me my custom color last month. I'm so glad I followed instructions and didn't take it upon myself to leave the color in longer like I do with the drugstore brands. As a person whose hair is between brown, red, and blond, I was buying a golden blond through the drugstore, because there was nothing between an intense red and a golden blond. The color eSalon mixed for me really looks like my hair used to look and is much more natural. The dye didn't smell bad, either, and although I had to read the instructions a few times to understand exactly what to do, I managed to come out with a very great color that made me feel younger and really covered any grays that I have, especially around my face area. There is no drying out, rough texture, damage, or negative results with this. I would ordinarily be skeptical of internet products but this one is great. It's wonderful to have a good hair experience, I bet everyone understands this. I'm not a friend of anyone there or some phony advertiser, I'm a 60 ish woman in Louisiana who is just happy to have found this site.
