After hearing all of the commercials, I broke down and tried this product reluctantly since my salon is closed due to the quarantine. I am truly in shock at the results! My hair looks better than when I pay over $200 to have my highlights. There a multiple shades of blonde which not only look very natural but also looks extremely healthy! I could not be more pleased! I don't know how they did it, but from my answering a few questions, they came up with a formulation that is the exact match for my hair color. It covered the grays completely too! I could not be more pleased!!
Thankfully, my colorist recognized that I had made the wrong choice to cover my gray outgrowth. The match is perfect, the color is so nice and I got great gray coverage! I love e salons hair coloring, for the first time all my grays really did get coverage. The color itself is great, although I am going to change it a bit this time. That is one of the great things, you can tweak your color everytime you order. The price is awesome for the personalized service you receive! This is salon quality color at home.

This is the first time in my life I colored my hair on my own. I started to grey very young. I was very nervous but it actually turned out pretty great. My colorist at eSalon did a great job of matching my current base color and my highlights survived my amateur-ish application. You have really helped me survive one depressing aspect of self—quarantine times. I could have left the color on longer for more complete coverage, but overall I am pleased (I am very silver on top of my head).

I received my package in the mail and completed my root touch up yesterday. I'm very pleased with the color and will definitely be doing this again. My daughter in law applied the color and things got a bit messy, but overall a lot cheaper than going to the salon. Will have more experience next time lol

This was my first time coloring my hair at home. I was petrified but since I didn't really want the "skunk" look that I was getting from sheltering in place, I figured "Why not??" I was really pleased with the color and it covered my grays (actually they are stark white) perfectly. I used a comb to pull the color through to my ends and it helped me get complete coverage in the places I couldn't see. I have already ordered another kit! THANK YOU!!!

It was so nice to be able to talk to a color specialist. I sent pictures to try to match my hair color. The fists batch didn’t color my grays and I left it on for 45 minutes. The second bath they adjusted and it worked! It comes in a very nice box with very easy instructions. The presentation is beautiful!Thank you.
The color match was perfect! I was very skeptical since the picture I sent wasn't very good ... so I called the salon for extra help on the application. One of the color experts was immediately available and both reassured me and gave me a few tricks to make sure it all blended in properly. Couldn't be more pleased.

The color was perfect, the 'how to' videos turned my husband into a 'professional' color applier, and we had many laughs as we turned office butterfly clips into hair clips and a swivel/adjustable height bar stool into a salon chair. I was nervous about coloring my own hair because I have always had a professional do it, but when it became impossible to go to my stylist due to the coronavirus, I decided to give it a try. The kit arrived, and I just finished the process which was surprisingly straight-forward and easy. I read the instructions, watched some videos on the eSalon website, and then started. The instructions are so clear that it is nigh on impossible to screw this up. The kit contains absolutely everything you need to color your own hair, including items I had never thought of before. I followed the instructions, finishing the process by washing and conditioning my hair with the products in the kit. When I blew my hair dry, I was stunned. My hair looks shiny, the curls are bouncy, and I feel ridiculously pleased that I did it myself. I am now a huge fan!
I’ll start off by saying this worked way better than I had expected. The color came out almost exactly as esalon had predicted and it doesn’t have the horrible chemical smell most hair dyes have. It covered all my grey no problems. I have already referred it to my mom and plan on buying in the future.

It may have taken longer to do but it's the best color I've ever put on my hair. I mean period, I've done both over the last thirty years and this turned out the best I've seen. I am very happy with the color and while it did take a little longer and attention to do myself at home, it's better than any salon I've ever been to. Thank you so much! I’ve never colored my hair before the salons temporarily closed amidst the corona virus lockdown. The stylist got my color just right and the instructions were easy to follow. My hair turned out just the way I expected and I am very happy with the results.
This is what I was expecting the first time I colored, because the color mid-length looked so bright while it was processing. This is such a pretty color, I really like my hair this color. Thanks to Mindy my colorist she did some tweaking to my custom color and the second time was much better✔. I like that I can reach out to my personal colorist with questions, suggestions and advice on my custom color💯.
Instructions were easy. My roots are covered and the color is great. I naturally have dark hair, and I have dyed it red for years. Red hair can be tricky, and esalon made it easy!
I have been coloring my own hair for years and wanted to try eSalon after seeing others great results. I used the demi permanent and it left my hair very soft. It was just the right amount of red with Dark brown ( Natural Burgandy) The kit makes the process so nice to have all included.

Ordered hair color to find out it was being shipped late (due to Covid-19 virus) so I picked up drug store. I wanted to put my order on hold and it was so easy. A+ for customer service and can’t wait to try color in 4 weeks. Will update review then
I have NEVER coloured my hair myself before so this was a real game changer for me, especially during lockdown.
The instructions were easy to use, clear and simple with brilliant online guides too. I ordered the cape and tools too as have very long hair and despite a slight, and I mean slight, darker shade that I am used to -which in all honesty was probably due to the picture I sent them - I think I am converted. Definitley tweaking and using again for sure.
Easy instructions, product kit box includes sample shampoo and conditioner. I did the hair strain test, and there is a odor with the developer. Odor does dissipate. .Color covers gray part line. Color is beautiful ! 4/8/2020 first time application,
OK, so I'm a total chicken! I'm 69 years old and I've been getting my hair colored since I started going white in my 20's. I finally did it yesterday..and it came out GREAT! I found one tiny bit that I missed but that's it! It's funny because today I received an Email from eSalon saying it is time to color again...but it's taken me this long to get up the nerve to do it. I love the color...honestly, my husband says it looks better than some of the times I've returned from the hairdressers. LOL, now that he's seen that I can do this, he wants me to dye his hair too! I can't remember EVER coming home from the salon and not having spent at least $100....and that was single process and no hair cut. WOW! This really worked and I could not be happier! THANK YOU!
I am really particular about hair tones. I hate warm tones and I love cool tones. The dark ash brown was really really ashy, and I love it. I see no red undertones. This is legit a better match to what I want than what my hair stylist has achieved. Highly recommend.

This was my first time trying an online color salon and I'm so pleased that I did. There was good, clear, communication from eSalon before my first order was shipped and I found the website easy to use. I uploaded photos of my initial haircolor and sent messages via the website. My colorist suggested I try demi permanent color and I'm so glad she did. The root coverage ( I had about 1" of gray roots) was great. I did cheat on the application and got my husband to apply it ( he's not a hairdresser) and the look is a perfect, even color all over. Thanks eSalon. I am extremely impressed with my custom color! I have been getting my hair professionally colored black (Redken Chromatics 1NN) every 4 weeks for the past 3 years. I had to miss my touch up appointment at the salon when they closed down so it had essentially been 8 weeks since I colored my regrowth! I did research for days and read tons of reviews searching for a brand that I could trust that wouldn’t ruin the healthy state of my hair. Seeing how eSalon is completely customizable on your hair structure made me very comfortable with choosing them!
Once I received my own little custom box, I was amazed with the level of thought and effort that the company puts into making each color special for each person. I had the help of my boyfriend to apply the color and I loved that you could apply with a bottle and then brush it on. There was tons of color left which was a relief because since you only get one bottle, I was nervous that it wouldn’t be enough. Once I rinsed and blow dried my hair, I was blown away with how gorgeous it looked! The color matched 100% perfectly to my existing hair and my texture was incredibly soft and bouncy. My favorite part is that there wasn’t a bunch of color on my scalp like when I usually leave the salon and my scalp wasn’t itchy at all. I am honestly thinking of cancelling my current shampoo/conditioner subscription to add the classic combo that was sent with my kit! My hair is on day 3 of not being washed and there is NO grease at all! My hair is super shiny also, I seriously could NOT be happier with my results. I haven’t washed it again since, but I’m really hoping the color lasts long so that I can stop spending hundreds at the salon and switch to a lifetime with eSalon! :)
Desperate times call for desperate measures. I have traditionally had my hair colored and trimmed every 4 weeks no matter what. Then came the pandemic. No where to go so I carefully did my research and narrowed it down to eSalon. I couldn’t be happier! My husband says it looks better than when I went to have it professionally done! I’m a once every 4 week regular with my professional. Shelter in place happened right before my standing appointment. I knew this was going to be a problem. I had never heard of eSalon but being desperate I decided, after talking to my professional, to give it a try. I uploaded photos and answered the questions. Understandably, it took a few weeks to arrive. It arrived today and I applied to my roots this afternoon. For a first time user, it came out pretty good. I feel so much better with all that gray gone. The color isn’t a perfect match but I’m happy. I sent a picture of the finished product to my professional and she thought it was good. Although I plan to return to her, in case this sheltering in place goes on lots longer, I’m going to order again just to have it on hand. thank you eSalon Team.
I did like the overall product. I have stubborn grey and it seemed to make my roots much darker than the rest of my hair. I did like the step by step instructions and I have very long think hair and had plenty of product to cover my hair. I will purchase this again
Been using eSalon for 6 years and highly recommend their color set. After answering several questions and uploading a photo, it didn't take longer to get a perfect match. It is easy to speak directly to a colorist, too. The formula is gentle on my long hair and I love the freedom of coloring when I want to.
First time using a custom colour set and I have to say it was just fabulous. The whole kit felt very personalised and more expensive than it cost. The delivery time was great considering the current circumstances. I am overall extremely pleased and look forward to making a few changes with my next order in 7 weeks time!
