UnhappyReally quite unhappy with the end result, the colour came out much darker than I had requested. Way to dark!I went into this experience, trying to do something different. I wanted a at home color job that I wouldn't regret. I wish that was something that I could say I received but it's not. The color I asked for and discussed was a nice dark blonde with a golden hint to it. What I got was a very dark brown/auburn color. I have very fair skin and was just not prepared for how wrong this could have gone. I don't want to fix it by continuing to add more and more color to it and damaging my hair. I am so disappointed. UnsatisfiedIve had 3 hair consultations, trying to omit red/ orange brassy tone. Might be genetics because im still having the same issue, so I can't lay all the blame on esalon. They don't listen to youTwice I've ordered and said I want to tone down the red in my brown hair and both times it turns out just as red. Dye is about the same quality as drug store but twice the price. The shampoo and conditioner you get with the kit are nice though. Not even close to the color I wantedMy hair color that I requested was the medium ash blonde. After dying my hair it came out a copper light brown. Nothing like the picture or anything like my existing hair color. They also barely gave me enough hair color to cover all of my hair. I made sure to list that my hair is very thick, but I guess that doesn’t matter either. It looks absolutely horrible! I loved the color but not enough productI actually loved the color, it did not have a brassy /orange color, very neutral. I would had given it 5 stars but I have a lot of hair and they did not send me enough color for my hair, I barely had enough for the roots, I ended uo with 2 colors my new one and my old one, not a good combo. Burning sensationNot enough lotion to colour all my hair that was a disappointment as the colour was lovely 😊 I have not ordered again as I had a burning sensation on my scalp whilst I had this product on, so I had too wash it off. DisappointedEasy to use and follow instructions. Pleasant smell. Colour too dark - I am a strawberry blonde and I could t find a matching hair colour to mine. The one I chose was the nearest approximation however much too dark. The dye has not lasted well either. My hair has faded back to the sun-bleached blonde that is was from the hot summer we had. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.I want to start off by saying i’ve had my hair dyed in a salon multiple times before, so I know how scalp reacts to it. I’ve even gone from brown to platinum blonde and not has anything even close to as painful as this product was for me. I’ve been using this since about may, but they changed their formulnwithout any warning. I used this yesterday and my scalp was irritated after I rinsed it but nothing crazy. I woke up this morning with a chemical burn on my scalp and my entire scalp is entirely filled with scabs that are peeling and leaving raw skin behind. I do not have one spot on my scalp that is not a scab. Not Any Better Drug Store ProductI was so excited to try this hair color and I am sadly very disappointed. The color is flat, no dimension, and my hair feels coarse. I haven't used box dye in over ten years because of the reasons listed above. Not worth the riskI've just coloured my hair and I'm very unhappy with the results. I thought I'd been very clear with my hoped-for results (mid blond on my natural dark blond hair) - I sent photographs and had a telephone consultation with a colourist. The result is a) not what I wanted at all and b) worse than that, the colour is very warm, almost auburn. My colourist had pointed out in my photo that my natural (virgin) hair colour was quite warm and my dye would be adjusted for that. It clearly hasn't been. I am very unhappy with the results, and especially because i daren't do anything to it to cover it up / correct it for fear it will just make it worse. Great product but need a little more information when learning how to applying!I had a little trouble when applying this to my blonde hair because when I mixed this the product was jet black and the previous ones where not so I did apply it to the area that where the most grey but panicked because I thought my blonde hair was coming out black so I didn’t wait the full time and didn’t color the whole head. I am terribly disappointedI said that pulled red. I wanted my hair as my picture light blonde. Somehow you folks thought dark blonde. When I colored it came out red. So I called and told the lady that info that they had done golden with a little bit of ash and that would be sufficient. She said not to worry they would use a neutralizer and that would take care of it. I got the color and used it today it showed a a lot of medium blonde and small amount of neutralizer. I am now darker red and very upset. I have posted picture from today here and feel there is no reason to continue with your product. The young lady had said my hair was medium blonde. I don't think my hair it, it is light blonde. It may not be platinum or toe head but it is definitely light blonde because around the front of my face has been toe head since I was a baby and now is turn gray. Please cancel my account. Lackluster Results, Spectacular MessI was really excited to try this product. My hair is dark brown naturally so I chose the "soft black intense pearl" color thinking that it would give my hair an interesting violet tone. Nope, it looks almost exactly the same. It's maybe slightly darker. I was disappointed and threw away my supplies. I came back maybe an hour or two later to find that the product had EXPLODED and dripped down the sides of my trash can, onto my shower curtain and onto the floor. The shower curtain was beyond saving as it has a huge glob of dye stuck to it. My floor is still stained. I just don't see the benefit in a product that's four times the price of drug store hair dye but yields basically the same results and creates such a mess afterwards (an issue I've never had with the cheaper dyes). New formulation beware!I have been loyal to esalon since I found my perfect chocolate brown color back in 2018. However I dyed my hair as usual today and it came out almost black! After some investigation I discovered that: 1.The formula has changed for some reason (I thought it was perfect before- always looked natural and never came out too dark). 2. My colorist changed the color formula without my knowledge or consent! This formula is one step darker than my last formulation, which was perfect. On top of that, the ends refresher now contains brown in it which turned my porous hair nearly black on the ends. I used to LOVE the ends refresher to tone my highlights and keep my hair looking naturally rich and dimensional. Now my hair color is flat and black. Reminds me a bad box dye job. Not cute. Did not give expected resultsI only did a strand test, and I'm glad because this did not do what I asked for. My root and lengths are totally different colors - the root is mostly unchanged from my natural color and the lengths are still very very coppery. I can barely even see a difference between the strand I tested and the rest of my hair. Not What I ExpectedI really wanted to color my whole head with a medium blonde color. I got one color for “roots only” and thought, ok, I was going to color it all? I called customer service and they helped with sending another color for the rest of my hair. Well my highlights really didn’t change at all, which was ok with me , but the roots are already gray again after only a few shampoos. Kinda bummed out that my hair really looks no different than before I started now. It’s only been a couple weeks too. Recent color orderI applied the new color today to my roots. I am very disappointed that the coverage this time was very poor. I carefully followed the directions as I did the first time I used the line. That coverage was satisfactory enough. I wouldn’t think that by slightly adjusting the color it would result in poor coverage. I actually had a professionally trained stylist help me . Loved the idea but not what I expectedI really loved the idea of a customized color and the instructions and box everything came in was so cute. I loved the set up and was very hopeful. However, I purposely ordered an ash color because I know my gold undertones usually come through but I feel like the top of my hair is actually lighter than it was originally and the bottoms are a reddish tone (which isn't the issue). not happy with results, have to go to professional to fixafter using this kit, my hair looks red. It was supposed to lighten my color, but the results darkened areas and changed the tone of my hair. I was expecting lighter roots and blonder hair, not brown/red tint. I do not want to try again, I would rather just go to a professional and spend the extra money. Zero StarsHORRIBLE Experience. Color arrived and it came out way too dark. Zero shine. They offered free color with an adjustment to the formula. My communications on the formula went unanswered. Then the day it was to ship, instead of shipping they sent me an email trying to get me to buy more. I saw the email DAYS later when I went to find out where my color shipment was. I responded and they shipped my order. They only gave me root color and the highlight kit I agreed to buy. Don’t need that because now I only have root color. Hair color was not what I asked forI sent a picture of myself with golden strawberry blond hair. Explained that I wanted the same color but maybe even lighter/brighter. I received my custom color, used it and my hair is now auborn and much darker than I wanted. Not consistent over timeI had a pretty annoying experience that my last color made my roots a visibly different color - you could even see the line same as when my roots grown in -just a different color red. This is after I had been using eSalon color with no changes for a while, so it was especially upsetting not to have a consistent experience. The response from customer service was pretty blah too - yeah, your color hasn't changed, and will be the same next time. No acknowledgement that something clearly happened in the quality control area - I didn't really feel they wanted me to continue as a customer with a response that was short and had a feeling of dismissing me. Not as good 2nd time aroundI have used esalon 2x so far. The first time the color wasn't quite right ,but the coverage was amazing. I couldn't believe how long the color covered my gray hair. It lasted almost up until I had to color it again. The 2nd time was not as good. Although they corrected the color nicely, within a week, I could see the color fading already and my gray showing through (not the roots, just existing gray). Not sure why it was so different. I think I even had it on about 5min longer than directed. It’s okay, but...I love the color, but it doesn’t last any better than the drugstore brands. It fades very quickly. Also, you recently changed the shampoo and conditioner in the kit, and I HATE the smell of them. I’m very sensitive to the smell of a product, and this factors greatly whether I purchase the item again. Not as I hoped.The color did not turned out like I hoped. When it started fading away, which happened really quickly, my hair looked brassy and very dry. I decided to give it another chance and I asked to adjust my color to be less brassy and more ashy but the second one is now copper and not at all I requested. It came out the exact same color I already have and with no gray coverage even after following all the instructions. At least with box colors and Madison Reed I know the end result will at least resemble the color on the package. Doesn’t cover my grayI have left the dye on my hair the length of time instructed in the directions included in my box and it still does not cover my grays. The only reason I keep using it is because this product does not damage my hair like the drug store or Sally’s hair dye. That’s why I stick with it. Did nothing except to dry out my hairI really wanted to love this product, especially as I hoped it'd be an alternative to going to the salon (which I'm trying to avoid during the pandemic). Unfortunately, the color did nothing to cover my gray roots. And as an extra bonus, it completely dried out my hair, which now feels like straw :-( The only 'pros' I can offer is the reasonable price and the attractive packaging. surprisingly dissapointedafter i ordered my last kit i decided to stop dying my hair.. i let my roots grow out like crazy, maybe 5 inches of brown and grey. Last week i decided to finally dye it, at first it seemed good. it covered my greys quite well. but some how didnt cover my brown? it seems my roots are still kinda brown AND today i noticed silver hairs around my hairline. i like your product, i like the attention to detail and personalization. Dull and MoussyHad to go to the local drugstore to get an all over color and Highlighting kit to fix it. Now I want to change my color all together and I'm unable to. It is OKSmells like ammonia, just like the store brand. The color is very vibrant but it does not last. Little gray I have by my temple sowed up a week after coloring. I color my own hair for decades and I know how to do it. So the actual product is not as great as the commercial make me believe that was something special. The instructions said to leave it on for 40mins, and i left it for 50 mins just in case. 2 different colours?Finally got round to doing my colour - not quite what I was expecting and not what I ordered (medium blonde.) The roots are now strawberry blonde and the ends are blue/green. I wanted to go slightly lighter than my natural dark blonde, which was shiny and healthy looking. I've now got dull khaki ends and dull strawberry roots. It looks awful and as I don't wish to make my hair any drier, I've go to wait until it fades. Luckily my hair is long so I can put it up and hide the really nasty bits. DissatisfiedThe color was okay, honestly not much different than I had been using before. This made my scalp sensitive and itchy for a few days and it didn't really cover many of my grays! So very disappointed and dissatisfied. I had many high hopes especially when your advertisement was so selling about how it covers stubborn grays and the color was specified to my individual liking etc. Not very impressed with the results at all. It wasn't the worst, but wasn't spectacular either. I dyed my hair on 10/31/20 and my grays (the ones that were covered) were already surfacing by the following week! And the grays that were covered were noticeably lighter than the rest of my hair. I don't have a significant amount of grays, however it's enough to see when they grow out. I sold your product to my sister as well (prior to me using my at that time), she had the same results, Itching scalp and grays not completely covered and others surfacing within a week. Wish I could get my money back that I paid for this product because I am honestly very unhappy with the results and the quality I have received from using your product. Thank you!
