Hate it!!!!The new color you sent me has turned me into a brunette! I hate it!!! I had a color I loved and used for years. After changing my credit card that I was using to pay for the order, I was forced to go through the color selection all over. I just received my new order, which was supposed to maintain my blonde color is now brunette, I would have been better off not using anything. DisappointedWas excited to use this hair color after all the hype I read about it. The first time was just ok - color was nice but in 3 weeks, I saw a lot of grey. The second time was worse - I saw grey in several places right after coloring and the brown color was drab. I reached out to eSalon but no response after a few days so I cancelled future orders. I just don't see any improvement over the boxed color I get at the store and it is 1/3 the price! I am not new to coloring - I've been at it for over 30 years. Worst Hair colour ever. Burned my hair & lots of my hair fell out.Worst experience I have ever had with a Hair colour. It burned all my hair so much that I will have to cut it off. I always colour my Hair @ a Hair Salon. This was the first time I didn't & never again. It will take a long time for my hair to recover from this. I am cancelling my shipment STAT. Nothing short of a nightmareI would say I get what I deserve ordering color on line but, I think even this is extreme! I sent in before pic of my hair and made special note that I pull red. They supposedly adjusted for that and shipped the color. My entire head is not only red but it is and orange brassy red! I could have done better with a drug store color! 4 days later they have yet to even ship the repair color - I am beyond myself! I’ve not had color in my hair in over 3 years and am now hoping they can even take me back to my original before I applied this mess!! It was OKI did not use my first order for several weeks because I could not open the small bottle of color. Customer service was great and sent out a new kit. I like the color. Though I followed the instructions, my greys around my temples were barely covered and very noticeable after just a few days - before it was even washed for the first time. Smell unbearable and hair broken off. I used e salon, I lived tge colour and had no problems. This time however was a different story. The smell of Ammonia was unbearable and made my eyes stream. I have just been to my hairdresser to get my hair trimmed as I am growing it. She informed me that whatever I had coloured my hair with had caused it to break off, she showed me tge back and I could see this. I always had long thick hair and want to grow it longer, but she had to cut 3 inches off, I am heartbroken. I am an ex hairdresser, so know how to apply colour, I also used high quality hair products, Olaplex, redken and heat protection on my hair when styling. I can no longer have colour on my ends, and gave booked to have my roots done at my hairdressers. The condition of my hair has been compromised because of e salon colours. DisappointingI loved the colour, but my hair was straw-like...incredibly dry and brittle after using it. The colour faded really quickly too. An expensive mistake! I love the colorI love the color but can’t give this 5 stars because it does not do a good job coloring my grays. I have followed the directions to a “T” and stil grays are visible after 2 weeks and I am not a frequent hair washer. I try to go 5 days without washing. So I will need to go back to the salon. Complicated and bad resultDisappointed—I thought the process was more complicated than my over the counter product. I like the color on my ends, but was frustrated that root color did not cover my gray. I had to redo the roots with left over color. Further I found more gray throughout in the bulk of my hair. I get better results including gray coverage and with easy process from my over the counter. I’ll be canceling my recurring order. Lifted my natural color and was too warmMy first experience with eSalon was not great, but I'm happy I tried it. After an initial hiccup, I had a phone conversation with a wonderful colorist who updated the original order/formula based on a more extensive & appropriate customer service experience. The problem, however, is that I think this company errs on the side of caution & formulates lighter (you will not get your actual formula, just a shade description), so that people don't end up dying their hair black. I was very clear that I wanted dark hair, much darker and COOLER than what I had in my natural regrowth and the strip of warmth I was wanting get rid of. The hair color that was sent to me not only didn't darken my hair, it actually lifted my natural hair color, turned my baby hairs a very medium warm brown, and lifted my eyebrows to that same color. I can't even begin to describe how disappointed that was, after how clear I was, but I decided to just stay quiet, book a salon appointment, and go get the color I desired. I followed their directions to a T, and it wasn't my first rodeo, so I know it wasn't application/timing error by me. Try this, but I do think this company formulates lighter than you want so you don't end up black hair and they don't get blamed for it. Coverage was good howeverI chose light brown in hopes to start the journey of lightening my hair. My hair was already fairly light on the bottoms so I thought it would just match up my entire head. Instead I now have dark brown hair. This color is not light my hair is now much darker. It was disappointing color wise but the coverage was correct. Dried my hair, limp and loosened my curl pattern didn't cover all rootsI wanted to like this product. I noticed my curl pattern had loosened and my hair felt limp and dry as soon as I began the rinse process. Turned my hair orange TWICE in the last 6 monthsI have been a customer since 2016 dying my hair every 4 weeks. July 2024 I dyed my hair as usual and once dry I noticed my hair was orange wherever the dye was put in my hair. I called esalon & they apologized and shipped out a replacement box for free. I did notice that the dye had exploded out of the bottle in the garbage can where I had thrown it out and this never happens. Fast forward to Dec 2024, dye my hair and hair is orange again! I’m so upset as this is the second time and it is the holidays and I have events to attend and my hair is orange. I call esalon and ask them to please overnight the replacement box. I ask why this is happening and the colorist on the phone admits I’m not the first & that they've been having warehousing issues!!! Needless to say they said they would ship out express and they did not and I got it 10days later and spent the holidays with orange hair. The dye also again exploded out of the bottle in garbage can. Too light & didn’t cover graysI asked for the darkest brown with copper tones. My hair is now a light coppery brown color. Also, it didn’t cover up my grays. I followed the instructions exactly and I’m very disappointed in the results. Another problem was the smell. I’ve used a few different hair color services to try find the best one for me, and this one was the most chemical smelling. I’m still sneezing hours later. DisappointedVery disappointed. I got NO blonde, just took away what blonde I already had. It came out a grayish muddy color that was drab and dull, and the ugliest color I would NEVER hope to have. I hope it's ok to recolor right now, because that's what I'm going to do, as I will not be out in public with this crappy color. I was hoping it was gonna be great. But not even close. Medium blonde. I AM NOT IMPRESSED!This is a waste of time & money. Received this, followed the instructions for application which was a 2 step process I do not like and too time consuming first of all. Secondly, with in 3 days of coloring my hair I was seeing grays pop back up, faded out already & my roots were entirely with out any of the color left on them!! The hair color I buy from the store lasted longer than this stuff!! I AM DONE! ONE TRY & DONE WITH THIS PRODUCT!! I expected much better results than I received with this. Entirely disappointed and do not want any more. I used the shampoo & conditioner they sent with it and it is terrible too! Used all the conditioner and could barely comb through my hair afterwards!! 3rd color and it’s still not rightI haven’t had the best luck with my colors. I’ve reached out several times and they send a lighter color the following box but it’s still too dark. It’s been frustrating because I have sent them photos of the color I want as well as my own hair and it still hasn’t been better. I’m hoping the next box will be the right color or it will be my last order. Lovely PearlI was very excited about my colour. All was peachykeen until the step to add water to bottle and massage mixture into hair. I almost died! I had to rinse hair earlier than planned so my grays ended up being tinted a faint reddish brown. What I did end up with was a headache that lasted till the next day. Horrible !!!!Colored my hair twice and it did not cover my grey hair. The first time it was too light and the next time it was too dark. It looked like muddy brown. Beautiful ColorThe color is beautiful. I would recommend if you have gray hair around your face to do it first and then at the end do it again for some reason the color does not pick up there. I have used this kit a couple times and always do the crown first but both times the color did not stick. This set I just used was good, but the color container with the blue cap would not open no matter what I tried. I had to drill a hole in the top to get the color out. I feel like the cap should be removable for a due at home kit. Amazing product ridiculous shipping timeWriting this review as recommended with an email yet still not received items. However I have previously purchased from this brand and before the product was great. however I placed my order on the 7/12/23 and it is now 26/12/23 and is still in transit took them about 5-7 days to dispatch very unhappy. Would like to cancelBack in the summer of this year I talked to someone asking them to cancel my order because I was going to be out of the country and because the product I was receiving wouldn’t cover my white hair completely. The first order was really good, but I tried a couple more times and it just didn’t seem to work the same. Doesnt cover greyEvery time I get this I tell them it needs to cover grey and I follow the instructions. Every time, as soon as I wash off the dye, you can see the greys right off. Was it the right color mix???When l first opened the esalon l was very impressed with the arrangement and order of it. As l read the instructions and check the color chart that was part of the instructions. (Which was thrown out) l notice that there was copper add to it. One of the information gave my colorist is l wanted to to have less brassy color in my hair. I trusted my colorist thinking she knows what she is doing and colored my hair. It burnsI think this formulae is too strong for my skin. It burned my skull after I applied it. And also I found I lost a lot more hair afterwards. I ordered two orders after my first application of this. I didn’t notice the loss of hair until later. Now I got the two orders but I don’t think I will use them. Tiny amounts of productsNobody gets in touch with you and says that you have really thick hair and will need four boxes of this. The glove burst before I started using anything it's all too small. I want you to never contact me again and don't send me anything else. It's either greed or not professional people who are looking at the picture. I can see it not got the same amount as a L'Oréal boxed dye. But I thought they must know what they are doing and it must spread out easily and I was so wrong now I need to go to a salon tomorrow and get it fixed. Thanks for nothing. The worst everThe last order received in June 2023 was the worst color kit I have ever had. I just got around to using it this past weekend and though I stated in my order that I needed something to color, stubborn gray, I was greatly disappointed to see that it did not even color the gray that I had around my temple. I have purchased this product a few times to have on hand when I need a touchup between salon services. In the past I have been pleased for the most part, at least for 2 to 3 weeks I could cover the gray along my front hairline. This time, I was so disappointed to find that after all the time I took to make sure the area is covered properly. I rinse my hair to find the gray still there. Completely incorrect colourI was really excited to try this product as I read some good reviews and have been meaning to change my current dye to a less damaging one. The package itself was cute and everything’s nicely described and included, but whilst dying my hair I immediately noticed that the colour was a lot more pink than my desired copper tone, but I carried on dying it according to the instructions. Once washed out and blow dried - my hair is dark purple/red-ish colour. It’s much, much darker than I needed and a completely different colour than what I wanted. Please don’t use thisI want to preface this by saying that I’ve never left a bad review for a company or product before. So it breaks my heart to have to say this about an idea that I truly trusted. But, please, if you want your hair to go to the colour you outline in your initial choice, please just go to the hairdressers or use another dye. If you use E-Salon, you’ll end up with a colour three levels darker than you asked for, with no way to remove it. My story’s this, I had naturally warm, level 4-5 hair, that took me ages to lift from a dark brown colour. I came to E-Salon for a neutralising colour over this as I didn’t like the level of warmth I had. My partner helped me to dye my hair, and followed ALL of the instructions correctly, and despite this, my end result it that I now have black brown hair, which will take me years to lift back to my original colour without damage. Did not work..After following the directions. I put my hair in a style for a 3 days. And I took the ponytail out I noticed that the roots of my hair were a light brown and still very lightly grades The color did not take. It's not happy with the results I am not 100% satisfied not even 50%.smh.. hoping that the guarantee works.. The color has been in my hair for 3 days. I have uploaded photos of what it looks like now. Okay so I tried a second time to use this hair color. Unfortunately this does not work for my hair type or texture. It turned the roots of my grays into a bronze brown color. And my hair in the sunlight looks brown instead of black. I cannot use this product I will no longer have trust that it will help me. I do thank you for the opportunity for the second chance with the free hair color. I just need to find something that works for me. I followed instructions both times I may have even let the color sit a little longer the second time. But the moment it was washed out I could see that it had not completed the process again. It didn’t work color won’t take on my hairNot to mention when you try to cancel it they will keep charging your card and completely ignore you no matter how many times you reach out. Then it says then sent it every month I got it every other month. My auto ship says it’s off BUT CLEARLY IM STILL BEING CHARGED no one has helped me the several times I have reached out so I guess now I’m going to have to inconvenience myself more by canceling my debit card so they don’t have the number to charge this is a joke 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
