Very nice color, as I expected.Very nice color, as I expected. However, my gray hair start to show only after two weeks. Maybe I didn't leave it on long enough, but I followed the instruction to leave in on for 30 minutes. Love coloring at home but....this formulation still makes my hair have a slight reddish tinge to it....strawberry blonde is pretty, but I don't care for it on me. Ok but previous red hair still shows throughThe hair colour was ok, but not great. I was hoping it would fully cover up the previous red/brown hair dye but it hasn't. My hair is more brown than before but still the red shows through. Seemed great on day one; but I saw greys popping up all over after a couple daysSeemed great for a couple of days; but I saw plenty of greys popping up all over after a couple days, looking as if I missed a bunch of hair, which I know I didn't because you couldn't see them when I first did the color. The scent of doing it myself was a bit overwhelming (an ammonia like smell that burns my nostrils). Not happy!I just used my first set last night. The ammonia smell was awful. Not happy with the results of the 2 bottles together. Roots are way darker than the ends. Too much contrast. You can actually see the defining line. Won't be ordering again. Used to Love it...I started using this product a while back and I loved the results. I requested a lighter shade and something must've gone wrong with the formula because the quality changed completely. I am now at the point of cancelling my order. I have looked for a way to do so but I cannot find a way online to cancel my membership. The color does not cover my grays anymore. After 2 washes it looks like I never colored my roots. Bad ExperienceWhere do I start? I was happy with speed of service, customization of color and appearance of product I recieved. My disappointment is far greater. My problems started with a long, drawn out ordeal: I expected 2, maybe 3 bottles. Instead I got 2 bottles of color and 2 bottles of developer. This confused me until I clearly read instructions multiple times. I was told to mix bottle of color 1 with a bottle of processor and place on roots for 15 minutes. Then mix bottle of color 2 with second bottle of processor and place on remainder of hair for 10 minutes. Go into shower and add rest of bottle 2, massage through hair (root to tip) and leave on for one minute then rinse. Shampoo with packet provided then condition with packet provided. During coloring, the chemical smell was so bad I had to go outside. The bathroom vent would not get the fumes out fast enough. My eyes watered. Afterward, my hair felt dry and rough even though I used shampoo & conditioner provided by Esalon. I liked the color in the end, but the process is too much. I'd rather get the store-bought permanent color with fruit extract that has very low odor and gives my hair great coverage and shine. DamagingAlthough, this kit comes with stain guard, and stain remover, it took several days for the stains to fade off of my skin. This product left my hair extremely dry. The color that was suggested to me was dark brown. It turned my hair black. Not so greatI have been a repeat customer for a couple of years. The last 2 colors - something has not been right. I have had to shampoo my hair immediately after coloring as it felt like something sticky was still in my hair and I had a hard time getting it out. Also my hair is very healthy and during the past 2 months my hair has been very dry and brittle immediately after color and drying for a bout a week. Cant get a cool blondeI tried multiple incarnations of the ashy or cool blonde, specified no orange at all multiple times, but unfortunately each colour came out orange. I have had demi-permanent blonde many times from my hair stylist and it was never orange, but their colour is. My stylist cant understand why I cant get an ashy blonde, since it is easy for her. Also, after six weeks the colour hasn't washed out, it is still orangey. I never do permanent colour, but it looks like I may have to bleach this out if its still there in a month. I tried for months, but each tone looked strawberry (orange) instead of cool ashy blonde. Tired of orangey now. Grays come back to quicklyI have followed all the directions and use color treated shampoo's and conditioners. My hairstylist said that it looks like you may be putting in to much peroxide and that's why my gray is showing up sooner. Can you reformulate this again? not satisfiedI like the product yet my hair is all most black again, exactly what I did NOT want. I've been lightening it since november and it's now way way darker then I stated. it's more dark red dark brown very little shine. I was hoping for something better then a $10 box from the store yet I've like my last 4 store boxes better then this. Huge disappointment. I will not recommend to anyone other then the shipping was beautuful and made me feel special. I really wish I was happy with this for the idea was great. I asked for the color to have more Auburn tint - without looking Raspberry RedI asked for the color to have a more Auburn tint - without looking Raspberry Red. Well it was not Raspberry red but I saw very little Auburn tint. I am also unhappy about the section of root hair color (about an inch or inch and 1/2) that seems to come out visibly in less than a week. Color is beautiful for a short time, but not as easy as box from grocery storeFor me, this took a lot longer than using a box from the grocery store, and the color was darker than I expected. Also, when I signed up, where you can put in a note to the colorist, I noted that I prefer temporary color and asked if I should get temporary instead of permanent color from eSalon. I received no response electronically. When my package was received, there was no acknowledgement of my question in there either, and I received permanent color. The permanent color faded quicker than expected, and I liked the color it faded to after a couple of weeks, but it kept fading. It's Not You, It's MeAs a whole, I'd give eSalon 5 stars. Made to order color at a great price sent to you as often as you'd like ... Loved all of that! But I colored my hair twice, two totally different colors and both times did not get results I expected. I chose a Red Mahogany but when I was done my hair looked darker, the color was barely noticeable. I was a little disappointed because I thought I had finally found the answer to all my hair coloring questions & dilemmas. I read & followed the instructions that were included at least I thought I did. Maybe I didn't apply it correctly or should've left it on longer than what they said to ?! Don't know but it didn't work for me. However, this is just My experience. I would still recommend this product to friends & family. Very DisappointedI don't even think my colorist read the details of what I wrote. I even wet and thinned out the color to attempting to get it to cover my hair and there wasn't even enough to cover just my scalp let alone my length! Not the right colourMy original hair colour was red (roots were brown) When I did the whole questions my desired hair colour was purple, after dying the hair colour, instead of purple it came out black instead and only when i am in bright light can you see a tint of purple. not impressedMy first order was ok, too red so I want to go more brown. I sent in my request and nothing came back to me other then your order will be shipped, when I tried to contact the stylist before she sent my second no one responded, I sent the message that I wanted to see the color before they charged me but nothing. Great colour. Not great at lasting on greysGreat kit, colour & ease of ordering. However after 6 colours and time & colour adjustments it just doesn't stick to my greys and they are back within 2 washes. And with a colour sjampoo. Same as store boughtWas hoping to be a better product than what I buy in the grocery stores, but found it's about the same. The smell was horrible and so strong I was concerned about breathing in all the fumes. Store bought does not have that harsh strong smell. I didn't find the color lasting any longer than store bought.
