I’m not sure.I’m not sure if I wasn’t clear on what my desired color was supposed to be, or if I was sent the wrong colors, but I’m very disappointed in how it turned out, I loved the packaging, I loved the kit, I loved how the instructions were clear, but this might be a dealbreaker to go through all the effort and time to have it look nothing like what I wanted it to be. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Doesn’t last longAs a long time customer, I feel the product has changed. In the beginning, the coverage and color would last for 5-6 weeks. Well that didnt make a differenceI purchased this colour and was very happy when it arrived to see it had been personalized with my name. However after rigorously following the step by step personalized instructions I was bitterly disappointed to discover that it made no difference to my dark blonde/golden hair. Don't waste your moneyI got my package. I followed your directions explicitly. I even had someone come and sit with me while I did this to make sure I did it right. I still look like a clown except now instead of two colors I kind of have 3 because I have the root at the base which still look Capri and then I have a brown and then I have this other color that was supposed to be medium Auburn that's what I was trying to get anyway I have missed work I have missed family commitments all because of this and as far as I'm concerned you should refund my damn money that I paid for this in the first place and I need to know how to cancel this your prompt response is much appreciated otherwise I'm putting all these pictures on Facebook Twitter and Instagram this is supposed to be professional hair color let me tell you I would rather you refund my money so I can go buy a box of dye at Walmart at least I know what I'm going to get. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. DisappointedI was very excited to try your new hair color product. But I have to say honestly after a few times of using it I am disappointed. To start the gray coverage if no better and what I've been buying in the store. I use color treated shampoo and only wash my hair 1 to possibly two times a week and yet even with your coloring product the grace come through after the first 10 days. In addition I am not saving any money with using your hair coloring what I buy in the store cost close to the same amount. I have had this previous color for the last 15 years medium blond in the fall and winter any lighter blond in the summer. I never had to use highlights or lowlights to achieve this color and I'm not interested in starting now. Less Than ImpressedWas looking forward to trying eSalon after self coloring with drug store box products for many years. I ordered as usual medium brown and carefully applied color as instructed. Step 3 Blend for Shine in the shower technique painfully burned my eyes leading to blepharitis, loss of eye lashes and a trip to my doctor. I am very disappointed with the results of my eSalon experience. My roots are too light brassy orange and the rest of my hair is too dark brown. Hair framing my face is quickly showing greys after only two weeks since color application. I was very careful with following the timing recommendations for coloring roots and then ends. Never hit the markTried a few years ago and never got it right. Decided to give it another shot and still not there. I don’t like the way it makes my hair feel in comparison to other products and the color was never vibrant enough an always too dark. Not covering grayI went with this product because I thought it would be less damage to hair and better gray coverage. I just did my hair last night and still have gray showing through. Good product. But.....This is a good product and I like the way it didn’t dry out my hair like some of the other products I’ve used. Did nothingI wanted to go a shade darker than my current color. My hair was med gold brown with highlights. I confirmed with a stylist before I got my color. ColorI was eager to try this product. I have two issues with this product. First, I placed my order for buy one get one, but when I received my product, I only received one bottle. I then called the company and asked them where was my other bottle. The Rep stated that since I was only doing my roots. I will not get another bottle. I then asked why wasn't that spelled out while I was ordering? I got no answer. Second, I put the product in my hair and left it on for the allotted amount of time, it looked great, but two weeks later grey hair started popping everywhere. That was a waste of money. Hard to apply, wrong color rootsI had to have someone help me with coloring my hair, Im not sure how I would have been able to do it myself. Not What I Hoped ForI just did my roots, and while I do not think the problem is entirely eSalon's, I had problems with covering grays. The color is not quite what I wanted, and I am wondering if I misinterpreted "base" color in the initial questionnaire. I have very long hair and it was hard to do the roots. Good color but bad reactionI really enjoyed the color it gave me, i ended up using the dye three times, however on my third dye I had a horrible reaction to the product. I am only dyeing my dark hair darker and I had never dyed my hair previously but on my third dye my hair was falling out in clumps. no bald patches but insane fall out that it could clog a drain. BewareI was a 3 year customer and my last shipment was mixed incorrectly. My stylist wasn’t paying attention and doubled the amount of the white power in my kit. It caused a terrible reaction! I immediately turned off my plan and told eSalon what happened. They never followed up with me to apologize or make sure I was Ok. Horrible!I followed directions exactly and it looks awful. It did not color my roots well. You can see where my previous color was, that section seemed to grab the color. The color is wrong. I wanted copper red and it gave me dark blond(intense copper) 2 totally different things. Color was nto as describedThe color came out reddish brown and I asked for ash dark brown. I also stated that I did not use permanent color but you sent permanent color. WHen I emailed and complained it was dealt with quickly but all you did was send me the same color that did not work previously. I would not recommend this to a friend. Great color, hate the processI had problems with Step 2 of the coloring process. After the color was in my hair for 30 minutes, the instructions said to mix the remaining color with water and dump over my head in the shower. The color in the bottle starts to dry after 30 minutes, so the water wouldn't mix very well. I put it on my head anyway and the goopy mess that slopped out of the bottle splattered everywhere and the fumes were so noxious, I almost passed out. After rinsing and shampooing and conditioning my hair, I then had to spend the next 15 minutes scrubbing my shower and tub with Ajax to get the haircolor stains out. I have never had to do a step like this with any other haircolor, why is this necessary? It is for this reason alone that I will not be purchasing this product again. Asked for blonde ended up with copper redIn my profile I said I wanted to go to a lighter blonde. My color was sent and I ended up with copper red hair. When I reached out to my “color professional” Yvette I was told that none of their hair colors will lighten your hair that I have to do the lightening kit. I asked why I wasn’t told that up front when my profile specifically said I wanted to go lighter? I also asked why my hair is now copper red when that’s not even close to what I asked for and all she did was refund my money and said they could not fix it. The advertised personalized service for your color is not true. No one looked at my profile or specialized anything. I had asked for more red in my product and I don't think that happened.I just colored my hair with the new mixture yesterday and found it it was still just a very dull Brown. Needs AdjustedIf you can look up the first order there were two colors in it, I think if the color was in between those two colors it may be perfect. The last order was too dark. RootsI just did my hair maybe 2 weeks ago, maybe even less and my roots are gray already. I don't know what is going on lately but I might as well go pay $10 at a beauty store instead of $27 @ month. Was darker than the picture i selectedI selected a color that had more red and gold tones to it but what i received was a more dark brown with a little red in it. So my hair didn't lighten nor did the dark color show up on my hair I feel i have wasted my money. Beware, horrible productI will not ever use this product again, nor can I recommend it. My hair has been damaged and was orange and falling out. This is not the first time I have colored my hair, I have been doing color on my hair for 30 plus years and this by far is the worst product. I had to have color correction done and now I’m working with my stylist to get my hair healthy again. Straw-like!Having chosen a shade - dark blonde - to slightly darken my hair colour and add shine, I am deeply disappointed in E-Salon. Whilst the experience of “personalised” hair colour is tempting, I found that the dye made my hair very dry and actually made it look dull instead of lustrous.
