I have always had thin, fine hair in a medium brunette -- unremarkable hair. Since using the Custom Color Set, I have received multiple compliments on how bright and natural my hair looks. It even seems to be thicker, which I was not expecting. Since I always had auburn highlights naturally, I went with a color slightly more auburn/gold than my natural color. I love it!
First time and it went perfectly. Lots of product. Perfect colour. Excellent directions. And that sticker.... someone should get a raise for that idea!!
I’ve just used my esalon colour and I’m so impressed! Easy to apply (with help from the hubby) it’s come out a nice healthy looking colour. Used the shampoo and conditioner provided. Smells lovely and hair is so shiny and soft... will 100% be my go to hair colour now. (Sorry to my hairdresser) 🙈
I have slightly adjusted my color a few times throughout the years as I become more grey. The colorists have made very conservative & accurate adjustments. I will never go back to salon or drugstore pick a number coloring
I am pleased with the color. I like the small amount of time it takes. The directions are written out for me, all i have to do is follow. Did not feel any strong tingling to the scalp.
Thanks to esalon, I no longer have to spend hundreds of dollars at salons to keep my hair color looking fabulous. The kit is packaged beautifully with clear instructions as to how to use the product. The stylists are very responsive when I request any adjustments in the shade and are so helpful with their suggestions. This site is a lifesaver!
I have a huge problem with itchy scalp after any coloring job. This formula, for some reason, turned out to be less itch-inducing with color I love. Covers the grays very well.
So, I must admit I was skeptical about how well this whole process was going to go. It just seemed too good to be true. However, after my first application, I'm a believer! I LOVE how my hair turned out! Made a few mistakes the first time around but nothing that ruined the overall effect and will definitely be ordering again!

Used my custom eSalon color this weekend and I loooove it! It is truly perfect for me! my color is not easy ...I was a natural strawberry blond but most salon colors around a level 7 dont adequately cover my grays and fade quickly. My eSalon colorist mixed up a dark blond/gold/copper color that is just gorgeous but a tiny bit darker...and not far away from my natural color. Im super pleased and will be reordering soon! Thank you!

The custom color blended for me is the exact color that I had imagined for my hair. My gray is resistant to color so with adjustments it is working very well! And my hair is so much softer and more manageable! Thank you to the Customization staff for giving me beautiful hair!

This was myself first experience with esalon colors and I am very happy with it. I've asked for a few tweaks in color for my next order and added extras into my auto ship order, can't wait to get it and try it. Hands down aside from the color, the convenience of having my custom color land at my doorstep with my name on it tops why I love esalon.
They have given me bright, shiny, intense red hair color that lasts and lasts! I get soooo many compliments and I never hesitate to drop the name eSalon! 100% worth every penny (even though it doesn't take many pennies to shop here lol).

Red hair is the hardest to get right! But you did it! I finally have my natural looking red color back! Not too bright and not too dark! The first attempt wasn't far off, but this one is a winner! Yay! I'm sticking with you, eSalon!
I absolutely love my esalon custom color. After the first order, I asked to have the color tweaked to include more of the red tones and my stylist hit the ball out of the park! The color is incredible, especially in the sun!
I had previously been spending upwards of $60 each time I would get my hair colored in a salon. Last time I had it colored my roots turned red from an unexpected clash of colors they used. I wanted this red removed and eSalon did just that, from only seeing one picture of my hair! I love how eSalon is so personalized and to top it off I love the $20 price. You have gained a long time customer :)

The color was more close to what I wanted than any other time I've colored my hair (both by myself or gone to a salon). I like that I can adjust the color for my next order. I thought it was cool that the bottle showed me what proportion of each color was included with a visual pie chart. I wish these reviews allowed me to attach a pic so I could show you the before and after. My dishwater dark blonde hair is now a golden dark blonde. I wanted it slightly lighter and with less orange, but I like this color better than my natural hair color.
The color was easy to mix and very minimal mess. The gloves were nice quality and didn't create friction with my hair (no hair-pulling). The color didn't hurt my scalp as it sat for 30min; that has never happened before. The stain protective stuff you put on your skin smelled really good and seemed to be more than just ordinary pettrolium jelly. The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling incredibly soft.
Overall, I'm pleased, just not thrilled. I would recommend you try this.
Love the color. Perfect color, beautifully soft, scent was better than other products, and so easy. Love that the color wasn't flat like others. Natural looking and covered my gray so well.
Love the personalized service! LOVE the quality of this hair dye! It's better than any professional hair dye from any beauty supply store! I love the shade. The color is perfect. My damaged hair now feels soft and silky and thick for some reason. My only regret, like other reviewers, is that I didn't give this a shot sooner.
I recently made the switch from salon color to esalon and I honestly feel so good about it. I'm saving a TON of money and my color looks better because I'm not waiting until my roots are 2" and the color is faded. Boom, my color is in my mailbox before I need it. Not only is it easy but my colorist makes adjustments based on my requests. I couldn't be happier.

This works great on my super thick hair that has many different natural colors. Some grey is showing. This keeps my hair healthy and covers the grey with professional coloring that I customize along with eSalon. It’s awesome.

I love the color esalon made for my hair. I have recieved many complements since using this color. The color seems to last longer than my previous brand. My hair also does not seem as dry with this product.
I had been using color from a professional salon store but the people who work there just push the sale that month. So I came to eSalon. They match the color for my roots perfectly to what I love. I also got color refresher for my ends since red fades. Well the red from eSalon does not fade like the product I was using. Instructions are super easy to read as well!
