I ordered what I thought was an ash blonde and after coloring there was almost no change to my hair color. The team worked with me to get another color out to me that was more of what I was looking for. Aside from the one order, I have been extremely happy with how my hair has turned out. These are high quality hair dyes and I will continue to buy! I love esalon!!!
Update: This is a high ammonia formula. That's why my hair was breaking off at the root end!
I have been doing my root touch up at home for a few years now and this was the perfect color and a very generous amount. But, the color was PERFECT! The kit has absolutely everything you could need. I also ordered the bowl/brush and clips and they are fabulous! Could not have been better, I am a believer for sure. I was so skeptical but, this is fantastic. I buy everything separately, developer, tint ( I have to guess at the color) hate that. I have a lic. but it's still expensive to buy. If I were to purchase everything in this kit? Omgosh, this is so easy! And only 30 minutes and ALL MY GREYS WERE COVERED PERFECTLY! I have been using 30 vol and leaving it on for 45 minutes and still had those greys showing through, not with this kit! I LOVE IT!
I love the new formula. The cream consistency makes it much easier to apply without dripping. And the color is wonderful. So shiny and it brings out the highlights instead of covering them for the first few days like the previous formulation. Plus it covers my increasingly numerous grays much better. Someone I hadn't seen for a few weeks asked me if I had changed my color, that's how noticeable it was. (But in a good way.)
I had not had my hair colored in 8 months and the gray had come thru so much, I felt it just was not a look for me. Decided to give eSalon a try and I’m so glad I did. They send you everything you need to do a good color at home. Not only is the color really multi-faceted and beautiful, it did not dry my hair out at all. I’m now a subscriber!

I responded to a face book ad and have loved my color! I was using a less expensive boxed color from the store which was fading out about two weeks after applying. Now I am not fading out between colors and have found more products from ESalon that have kept my hair shiny and friz- free!
the color has depth, looks natural, didn’t destroy my hair. i have long hair, but they give you enough so that you can tone at the end. i will be using eSalon moving forward.

3rd do it yourself kit. 3rd excellent result. More courageous to slap on formula liberally. White roots concealed! Lovely glowing gold colour.
The suggested clipping hair into 4 sections does not work for short hair. Used a comb to lift hair to paint roots, more effective.
So happy to be able to dye my hair at home and get salon results! My color kit was carefully customized to my specifications and they nailed it! It’s perfect & I’m able to have it auto shipped to my house!

I think that this is a great product with great customer service. I started using them after L'Oreal discontinued my color. After the first set, I worked with a colorist to adjust it a bit and the next month it was close to perfect!
e salon, you are amazing! have never coloured my hair at home before, but with lockdown, plus the expense of hairdressers, and the fact i always come out from an appointment thinking....meh....thought i'd try at home. Was unsure how to progress, but got a call from a lovely technician who spent ages on the phone with me, and asked me to send a photo, and my first attempt was super easy, and good coverage of my grey/silver bits (ugh); i got back to esalon and said i needed a bit more coverage plus a slightly ashier tone, and it was no problem for them to tweak my 'prescription'.....am so impressed with these guys, and will never hit the hairdressers again! Thank you!
I’ve had to wait a while before using the colour as I wanted to have my hair cut.
Just used the custom colour set it is perfect, love the colour directions were clear and easy.

When I asked to change my colour slightly I was presented with a double pack to ensure that my hair was covered all over. There was plenty in the pack which was nice as I have long hair and normally would need to purchase two packs in the past from an off the shelf pack. I just love the e Salon products. I have no attachment to the company only as a new customer. The packaging is great, products of a high quality and for even though they are a little bit more expensive when compared to shop bought products, exceed expectations.
I absolutely love the professional product I received from esalon! It was exactly as described. The step-by-step instructions provided with the product was extremely helpful for this “elderly” lady!
I Love using this haridye. Every other black hair dye I used has always left my hair with a blue tint and this does not do that and it is amazing! Comes out perfect!
I would have given 4.5 stars for my review rating if I could have. I do love being able to color my own hair at home while continuing to social distance and the cost savings are an added bonus! The staff/colorists are very helpful and patient with me as we get my requested hair color (Copper Golden) to be just right. I recommend eSalon all the time when people ask if my hair color is natural!

I will never be held hostage at a salon for 2+ hours, with a $200 price tag - EVER! Each color gets better with eSalon. I just need to master toning, but I'm working on that. This is the best hair color I have ever had since needing to color my hair to cover greys. Even salon hair color for medium blond would wash out after about 3 weeks and I would be left with a bright white blond color that I was not comfortable with. The eSalon custom color gives full grey coverage that lasts until my next color (6-7 weeks) and the color does not lighten or get brassy over time. It's a beautiful natural looking medium blond color with a lot of dimension and highlights to it. Just love it! So glad I discovered eSalon.
Great color, easy to use! As a redhead, I was reluctant to color my hair knowing it could be disasterous.....but this color looks so natural, no one can tell I color it!!
I am very impressed with eSalon! I needed to cover my highlights and go back to dark brown. I was skeptical about how it would turn out but process was easy! My hair feels soft and silky which is uncommon for me. Will definitely purchase again.
Oh my gosh, I am loving this colour soo much! It is the perfect blend of dark brown and a deep, lovely red that shines through. The directions were very thorough and I knew just what to do. I'm not sure I did the back of my head that well, but I bet I get better at it with time. Plus it looks just fine in the mirror, so.... good enough! Everything was packaged up so nicely and I felt so excited and happy to be using your product!
My main goal was to cover the grey hairs that were coming in fast and furious. I picked a color close to my natural shade with a hint of gold in it. I don't know how it's possible, but my colorist found the perfect color combination for my hair! I've had lots of color over the last 15 years, but no one has gotten it spot on like she has. I really trust and appreciate such a great hair color product from eSalon! Before, I heard about eSalon, I read articles about some salons which use hair color products on their customers weren't 100% pure ingredients. It had me thinking, okay, no more visits to my hair salon and no more buying hair color over the counter for my hair!

With the pandemic, I decided to start dying my own roots and this is exactly what I needed. I have a ridiculous amount of gray hair and this covered them up and lasts just as long as when I would go to a salon.

eSalon sends a generous amount of color, which is great because I have a lot of hair. The end result is rich and shiny. The kit comes with everything you need too.
My colourist was very helpful and selected the best Color and strength to cover my very brassy copper toned hair (self inflicted ) lol to this beautiful tone of Mahogany with vibrant highlights
My color has always been excellent from e-salon. The directions are easy to understand, making the application a snap. Thank you for your service, and for not having to think about reordering. You do make it convenient for me, and I appreciate it.
I used esalon since 2013. I stopped for a while but came back because other hair color just didn’t look as good. This product not only gives great custom color but also lasts a long time. It doesn’t fade as quickly as the other brands. I’m very happy with eSalon.

My stylist called because fall season and I wanted a gradual change. Gave me additional pointers on the phone and follow up email. I am so very pleased again and keep telling everyone about you because they believe I’m going to the in person salon. They are amazed I’m doing it myself.
I am very happy with the color. Color is rich and beautiful. I had a little gray and it covered it with no issues. Great formula and it was easy to do myself.
I am so impressed with the kit I ordered! Everything was packaged so nicely! I even loved the sticker to hang the instructions up on the mirror. But the quality of the hair color is outstanding! I love the depth and shine my hair has with this color!
I am now in love with this color- it fits me like a glove. It’s the perfect amount of copper with ash with blonde.
The new formula is a little bit less runny and did a lot better covering greys than last time. I left it on for 45 minutes after I covered everything (compared to the recommended 30), but once I washed and dried and styles there were still a few stray greys and the most subtle line coming through where the darker hair growth was before the dye job.
Regardless, I am happy with the overall look, hoping that next box will do even better (if I keep the timer to 50-55 minutes?)
So used my colour this morning for first time can honestly say I'm really pleased with it, how the mixture goes on it doesn't itch your head at all and it's not runny like some colours are, the colour is so nice a pearly blonde, my hair takes really good to colours so it always looks like I've had foils I combed the colour through for the last 5 mins it's looks great would highly recommend. Thankyou.
The first color I tried was off just a bit but, after speaking with and sharing pictures with a colorist, she blended a new custom shade that matches perfectly! My roots now blend seamlessly with my previously salon-colored length. Also, my hair looks healthy and shiny and has stayed that way. Very pleased!
I found my initial color a bit dark, and when this adjustment came, I was afraid it was too different and nervous of the "gold" for the ends. But no fear, it was just a tinge lighter and brighter which is what I was looking for. I keep staring at the mirror, indoors and outside with the sun on my hair, and it is shiny and beautiful! If you have white hair you know how difficult it is to get a warm, soft strawberry blonde it is! I make it harder by only using Demi or semi permanent color, because I like to switch it up. This is the perfect strawberry blonde, not too harsh or dark, not too purple, just beautiful and very natural looking. I am older, and it brings light to my face but doesn’t look harsh. Genius!
I love esalon.... the color is awesome,covers gray and lasts a long time....At some point I may add more Auburn or red as that is what I usually color my hair.... however I love the pearl copper that I am using..
