I hadn’t color my hair prior to using this product. (I mean me personally, I went to a salon for well over a decade for my root touch ups.) I finally had had enough of the high cost of getting my hair colored. I live in Los Angeles, and was fortunate enough to go to eSalon’s headquarters. I didn’t want to try to color my own hair, without some sort of teaching by a professional. I went on March 4, 2020. So glad I went!! Now here we are 3 months later and I have colored my hair 2 times. This color is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The color is exactly like the hair salon. It is very easy to apply. ESalon gives you all the instructions on how to apply product. I can’t believe how easy it was. If I can do this, you can too. I’m still amazed that I can have salon results, in my very own home. If you’re on the fence about trying this product, I would say to give it a try. I am so HAPPY that I finally took the jump to try it myself!
Great, love the esalon hair colour .My hair was in fabulous condition after I had used Esalon colour. I just need a few tweeks to get the colour more right for me.. not a major problem.Very helpful and quick response to my email .so hoping my next hair formula will provide the desired colour. Have not been put off as it is always trial and error if trying a new shade in a different product for the 1st time. Definitely salon quality and will keep using in the future .
For a first timer, I couldn’t be happier with my color. It was perfect, easy and hassle-free. Since I’ve colored my hair at home for many years using a local company beginning with S I didn’t need the brush that comes with it. (Maybe you could offer an option to not include it unless it doesn’t a difference. Also, I don’t like throwing things away.) For about 15 years I’ve been getting my hair professionally colored at a salon. I hate to admit I went to get a haircut this week but after 5 months my bangs were down to my chin! My point being, my hairdresser said the color was beautiful (the perfect color) and amazing. She suggested I keep using your color and just see her for haircuts. Pretty great!❤️
My husband dyed my hair. Love the color. Didn’t damage my hair at all. Only reason I gave it a four rating is I have a grey patch above my forehead and it is showing grey already. But it did this at the salon also. I will be coloring at home from now on.
It was a big step for me after having blonde hair with highlights for decades, to switch to a dark brown/mahogany color. I was nervous that the color would be too red/not red enough, too brown/not brown enough, etc. But my color is perfect! It's exactly what I was imagining and hoping for. I admit, I was skeptical about placing an online order for hair color. It's perfect! I love the color. The directions are easy to follow and everything you need is in the kit. In fact the kit is personalized with my name and the packaging makes me feel like I received a special gift.

I have been dying my hair red for years but I was never able to get the true red I was looking for. I decided to give Esalon a try and I’m so glad that I did. I was expecting to get the same results I’ve always gotten but to my surprise when I removed the towel from my head and let my hair dry I was shocked by what I saw. It was the most beautiful, vibrant, and shiny red I have ever seen and not only did I love the outcome but my hair was softer than it has ever been. It was a wonderful surprise to receive this box in the middle of quarantine. My roots was screaming GRAY!!!! I loved to see my name in the bottles. And, having 2 different tons, one for the roots and one for the rest of my hair was really cool! It was easy to apply, I will be ordering again
The idea is great. The fact that you reply back to inquiries promptly and we can adjust color each time however we want. I think it is great. Easy instructions, and nicely packaged for that extra touch!
Love this color.. On next 1..take a lil more red out and put more mahogany.. I saw color wheel..that you mixed for me.. Take almost half red out..then put mahogany to replace that part. Thanks so much ...I've changed my mind a little.
Loved the color set. May need to darken roots a bit as not all grays stayed covered days later. It was easy to use, all supplies needed were given and I loved the way it was all organized with easy to follow instructions!! Highly recommended to many already!
I tried this a while ago and then for some reason or another stopped using it. So glad I rediscovered it! I am very pleased with the colour and the way it covers my grey roots. Its easy to apply as well. I have also used it on my hair extensions with great success.
I have been afraid of coloring at home but this changes everything! The color is awesome and the results look professional...will be using esalon from now on.
I really like being able to tweak my color on a regular basis, without an additional charge. The directions are easy to follow and the product amount is plentiful, enabling me to apply the color mix very thoroughly, The personalized customer service consistently exceeds any I have ever experienced.

I have recently started to go lighter with getting older felt I needed a change. With the shutting of shops I could not get my hair dyed. The choice of colour couldn't have been any near my hair. I can gladly say I made a good choice going back to Esalon.
I was a little scared to use this product on my natural hair since the product I was using in the past is now discontinued. The results were very good the color system made my hair look like highlights as opposed to a normal dye job. I didn't think I would have enough since my hair is very thick and curly, but I had more than enough. After three weeks the gray is starting to peek through around my hairline, but that is to be expected due to new growth. I purchased the touch up spray to handle the roots and hairline. I will post that review within the next few weeks. I'm totally satisfied with the product.

I was so sure I would end up in a hair color "emergency" afterward because I've never had a good experience coloring my own hair. But when I looked at my hair once I was finished coloring, I was THRILLED. I'm very aware of my gray hair and feel that it ages me. But the gray was GONE. Even my husband noticed how great the color was and said I looked "like you usually do after the salon". All for a fraction of the cost. And it doesn't take as much time away from my family when I do my hair on my own time in my own space. Love it!!
I loved my new hair color and the additional accessories such as the stain guard and the shampoo and conditioner. With the COVID 19 I had more gray hair than ever and it covered it.
I just buy the set because I want to try something else and the way they get the information about your hair and what color do you want it's very nice and friendly. The package is very beautiful and everything inside is placed in the order that you have to use it. The experience from the order on the web site until using it, it is wonderful, I love it. Of course, the result it's also really good, I love the color I have now in my hairs, better than expected. I highly recommend this product.
It's wonderful! I have waited hours in the past for my appointment time. Now I can schedule myself and do my own hair. I love it! The color is fantastic, totally covers my gray and keeps it covered for the same amount of time as my hairdressers formula. I'm sold, this is the way to go. Take control of your time and color when you want! Again this product is GREAT! I'm a solid customer.

The color came out absolutely perfect! I am by no means a professional and I did make a mess the first time but I am going to continue to do my own color even after salons open in my area.
This is such effective but gentle colour. I used it to cover my grey/white roots, and it was so much better than box dye. I’ll never use box dye again. My hair also feels lovely. Very impressed with what was sent to me.

I am very pleased with my new custom color! I originally had highlighted and dirty blonde bleached hair. The color covered very well. I now have a beautiful red tone with lighter auburn pieces due to my blonde highlights. The hair blended very well and I am just in love. I have no more plans to visit the salon! Thank you!
What a great way of coloring hair ! I love how the first kit comes with root color and ends color . It was so easy to use and I appreciate all the supplies that came in the package. I did message my colorist to adjust the tone on my darkest brown color for next shipment. I needed up with some copper in my hair , but I seriously think it’s user error
I came across this site by accident one late quarantined night. I couldn’t be happier with the results! The instructions were easy to follow and it came out COMPLETELY even. I was skeptical about the watered down rinse in the end but it turned out great! Will update review as color fades.

Love the kit that comes with the easy instructions and tools you need to color your own hair, particularly during this time in our COVID world when it is not yet possible to go to a salon. It feels great to be able to cover the gray hair on my own and have the color just right. I used to be able to use store bought box dyes in my youth to play with color but this no longer works for me. I started going regularly to a salon, as a result. With eSalon, I can color my roots again and refresh my hair color on my own!
I was a bit nervous to dye my own hair at home because I never have! However, desperate times call for desperate measures so I went for it. I was really happy with how it turned out although I will admit I was a bit on the edge of my seat. I actually liked it so much I will do it again. The color is closer to my natural color and I'm amazed at how well the stylist did recommending it over the internet.
I have been extremely pleased with Esalon. My first order came with everything I needed and clear instructions. In the second order I decided to adjust the color slightly and they made the change, no problem. They are responsive, efficient and affordable. I will probably not go back to the salon for color.
The eSalon color product is so much better than store boxed color Brands. Everything you need is sent to you including 2 sets of gloves! Even the shampoo and conditioner included are great products. I will continue to use eSalon going forward.
I was worried that this color would be too dark or pull red. It did not. The color was formulated perfectly from a single picture that I sent. I am very impressed.

Must admit I was really nervous , have not home dyed my hair for several years and have seen all hairdressers warning against using box dyes at home as it is likely to be a disaster , and could end up costing a small fortune to put right once salons can reopen, However, this product is no box dye , the result was just as good as a visit to the salon , and was just a fraction of the cost. Am incredibly impressed. Will continue to use even when my salon is open - Sorry Lorna !!!
I love this way better than store bought, The packaging is excellent and the directions are super simple. My color came out perfect throughout even over my grays, natural color, and grown out hair color. Total first time cost was $12 and my next time $20. I hope this is helpful for people who are tired of spending hundreds of dollars a year trying to keep the grays away.
