Just wrong!Wrong color. Wanted red for all-over and they sent root touchup for my existing hair color. Waste of time and money. Why would I touch up roots on a color the same as my natural hair? Ruined my hair with ugly orange rootsZero stars…Ruined my hair… I ordered my color, neutral dark brown 3.5 NN, with the assistance of one of eSalons’ consultants. I used the incredibly runny and watery solution following the instructions. I self color my hair every month so this wasn’t a new thing for me. After about 15 minutes, it had dried my roots up to 1.5 inches of hair, a horrific l bright orange. I looked crazy for a couple weeks while I let my scalp recover. Then, I went crawling back to Madison Reed. I forgot this was a subscription service too. So I was charged for another batch. Exploded and didn’t workI followed the directions but it didn’t work. My hair is not cute right now. Some of it got super red and some of it didn’t change at all. The worst part was both bottles exploded everywhere. It sprayed out of the bottle so fast and strong as soon as I opened it. It’s on the floor, ceiling, cabinets, chairs, literally everything. Love the color, not the priceI love the color chosen for me. However for the price I would think it would work as good as the brands you can get in the store but I have not seen that. I have colored my hair three times and last two times there is a spot that didn't get colored though I know it was saturated with color. Did not work for me!!Let me start by saying loved the packaging and how quickly it arrived. Also loved the stain guard in the kit and the fact it comes with everything you need. Not so much GRAY coverage!Overall easy process but leaves very severe stains like no other. Opened bottle to mix the color in but seal went flying and some of developer ran out.Never had that happened.Not a biggie but still.After keeping on for 45 mins even per instructions to leave on for 20 min the grays were not covered well. I do thank the colorist for the mix but something was not delivering to satisfaction. OkayColour is nice especially in natural sun light, however only really showed up on parts of hair that was already lighter from previous dye (different brand) Doesn't really show on new growth. So not sure if it would work if my hair wasn’t already dyed. My hair can be quite stubborn to take to dyes though because it’s dark brown and thick. Color turned way too dark I had to go buy color removerI had to go to Walgreens and get color remover to get the way too dark brown removed. This did not happen with the color kit I received before this kit. I can't afford mistakes 😢 like this last experience. I wrote to you abt my pkg being unusually late and it was damaged, scrunched up when it arrived. I was very very surprised. It wasn't bad enough to not open but clearly not in good shape. No longer covers ANY grayI only have a handful of gray hairs and this hair color does NOT cover gray. I don't know if the formula has changed because it used to but it does not any longer. Not for blondesI have used e-salon twice now & sadly will not be using again. I have darker blonde hair which lightens very easily. I was hoping that using e-salon would help me maintain a blonde I love, but it wasn't in the cards. The first color made my hair almost grey-green at the ends (too ashy of a color). I requested an adjustment & the new color is more yellow then blonde and does not look natural at all. This one didn't do the jobI wanted to note somewhere that this color formula just didn't cut it this time around. While it got rid of my dark dark roots it did not cover up my grey. Most my grey is at the hair line around my face and I think this formula was just too light in the blonde category to be able to get rid of the silver/grey hairs around my face. Not getting grey coverageI'm not getting the grey coverage, once i color it shows I've color everywhere, but once I wash out the color after 35 mins to 1 hr., it still shows grey around my face and temples. I've tried the spray Camo Mist copper strawberry and it just shows like I sprayed red dye around my temples, so I'm ordering another spray hopefully with more of a golden tone than just red dye, BUT IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN TAKE CARE OF THE GREW AROUND MY TEMPLES AND FACE THAT WILL LAST LONGER THAN 1 WASH??????????? 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Very DisappointingI have coloured my hair many times and always do the safety tests . Since using this product my hair is dry and matted despite using a top quality conditioner. My scalp is also uncomfortable at times . The colour is also poor with elements of yellow and is patchy in places. I carefully followed all the instructions to the letter. Looked patchy and didn't cover my greyI have some grey hairs, not too many but this colour didn't seem to cover them. I want to give e-salon another try and hope that it's better this time around. The packaging was gorgeous. I agree with another’s statement below that it seems like a rinse that washes off after shampooing a couple of times. Disappointed!I've been a customer for years and I never really had an issue until lately. The color seams to fade quickly but it also doesn't seem to be grabbing or holding onto the hair it has been applied to. The color now doesn't have that shine to it anymore. I have complained for the last 6 months and have been working with them to get a better color out to me, I have even sent photos with the right color to them. Unfortunately, the color I get back isn't even close and within a week or two has lightened up to a nasty puke Orangie/yellow color. As far as it does not stay on my hair, they just print in my instructions to leave it on 10 minutes longer. I've done that and knew that's not the answer. Orange!I was excited to try this product after reading such great positive reviews. I went through the process and followed directions to a tee! My hair was not blonde, but a hue of orange! I let the team know and said they would adjust the color and I need to follow directions. Hmmmm, what I did. Anyway, I received an email that my order was about to ship, so I hopped on line and skipped to the next shipment. Received an email a few days later that they had sent my color and charged me! I don't want your products! They don't work Called customer service, she said I did not cancel shipment( what!) Faded way too fast!Have you changed something? This last order I used started fading after just 2 weeks and now 1 month later I have brassy, faded red highlights that are not attractive! 3 toned hairAfter my partner coloured my hair as written in the instructions, my hair ended up being 3 different colours. What happened?I never write a bad review, but my last order was a nightmare. My developer was open and leaking, and after coloring my hair, it was dull with no color at all. I went to my stylist a day after I colored and she commented on how dull the color was… I had just colored it the day before. No gray coverageAlthough it was a nice package, that makes me feel like a salon hair color, the gray coverage was awful, so my gray hair did not get the color as well as my natural hair. No Color DifferenceI ordered an intense pearl shade for my brown hair. It’s currently caramel colored from 30V creme lightening in my previous dyes. I wanted a nice deep purple shade and that’s what it looked like in the visual example. The dye itself looked purple, however, it provided no purple shades whatsoever to my hair. Repeat order I wasnt aware ofI've used esalon once, the dye was OK, nothing particularly special and the colour faded significantly within a week or so. I use an expensive shampoo and conditioner for preserving colour and a conditioning spray every time I wash my hair too. I've also never experienced such a strong chemical smell from a dye before, the fumes made my eyes water and a small amount went down my nose and into my throat while rinsing my hair. My throat was incredibly sore for about 2 weeks afterwards. But to make it all worse I've just had just shy of £30 taken from my account for a repear order. I must have ticked a box somewhere to say I wanted a repeat order (I'm normally very careful about anything like that), but at £27.95 for a home kit, that amount definitely wasn't obvious when I made my first order of around a tenner. DisappointingThe coverage of this is really poor. I followed the instructions to the letter and have still clearly got roots and grey hair showing. The colour on the lengths of my hair is patchy (at best) and the colour didn’t colour the red tones in my hair (despite me asking the colourist if it would) so I now have brown hair at the top and dark red in the lengths. I’ve had better results from a shop bought box of dye at a 1/3 of the price. There’s been no offer to help rectify this problem just a credit on my account for the same item. I can’t see how throwing the same dye at it is going to change anything? I’ll still have brown roots and red hair. Just really, really disappointed that no one is willing to help. Ruined my hairI have requested my 2nd colour set to be a little bit lighter than my previous colour however I was very very disappointed as it makes my hair orange especially during the day. It is not ash brown as I want it to be. The formula made my hair so brittle and very very dry. Very disappointed and will no longer renew my subscription especially they’re increasing the price! Embarrassing ColorAfter coloring my hair, following the directions, I had an obvious line where my greys had been. Where the grey was is now a reddish/brown, then a distinct line and then the brown color my hair should be. I colored it in coordination with a hair appointment and was mortified my hair looked like it did. My stylist asked what happened. Didn't feel much different than a drugstore brandWasn't overly impressed with my color, to be honest. I think my color turned out too orangey red to be considered mahogany. Doesn’t keep color on grays and fades quicklyI have seen noooo change in spite of my last note/request. I’m ready to move on. Request written : (1/14/2022) My hair kit seems to fade easily and doesn’t cover my grays for more than 4 or so weeks. AgreeI totally agree with previous comments that something has changed. My gray coverage lasts 2-3 weeks tops. Extremely frustrated. I wonder if it's worth it any longer? I have had to go to a hairdresser in between to touch up b/c I no longer trust this product to last. Could you please be transparent and tell us what has changed? Does not cover grey.I told the customer service person to cancel my subscription but she kept wanting me to talk to the colorist. I am not going to keep paying for a product I’m not satisfied with. The 100% guarantee is not true. 3 boxes came and no offer of a refund for poor grey coverage. I shouldn’t have to repeat to a colorist that grey is not covering when the original ask was grey coverage. I also did not sign up for a subscription. I ordered just to try the product out. Then I got another box and another one is on the way. I had barely used the 1st box. Without getting feedback if the 1st box was satisfactory they send more boxes.
