Arrived much later than expected and did not cover the white hair.The colour is beautiful but it did not cover the grays. It also arrived much later so I ended up travelling with bad hair, only to finally colour them and now having to go to the hairdresser to fix it. Not recommending if you have grass to cover. Left with ginger hairI’m unsure what happened but I selected dark blond colour i put the colour on the roots and the colour started developing a plum purple colour it was a bit conderning and the ends turned deep purple too, I washed it off as per the instructions and I’ve been left with bright ginger hair. I’m very upset and I will have to spend more money now trying to correct this. I’ve tried to press help and the option doesn’t work on the website. Good color but too auburnE-Salon has been great so far. I adjusted the color and it turned out too light. I’m a natural brunette and went for medium brown. Not the colour I thought I was gettingThis review is hard for me to write because there is so many pros, but the one con is a huge deal to me. I love the product itself. Easy instructions, easy to apply, very minimal odour and my hair felt really good after and the shampoo and conditioner smells amazing! But, I absolutely hate the colour I received. I was so upset with the colour. I did not want my hair to be copper/auburn, I wanted dark blonde. Was a nightmarethat I didn't have to paint it on, until this 2023 you can imagine my admiration, but I don't know what happened now, that the result was fatal, the nightmare of gray hair is horrible. Instead of covering it up, what seemed to be was to increase the situation and I had recommended them to my acquaintances and they made me look bad in front of them. Not a fanI was super excited to try, but ended up disappointed. The smell is SUPER strong which, for me, is a trigger for migraines. I did give it a shot regardless. Fan on, windows open. Followed instructions to the letter. While processing, all looked great!! However, once washed and out of the towel, not so much. My grey's were not gone at all and neither were my roots. This color actually lightened my roots by an entire shade. I'm not sure how or why since I went w a blue/black color as i have dark hair. Amazing color, just not what I wanted.I color my hair myself quite a bit, so I have some good techniques down. I followed these instructions to a T and the color came out WAY stronger than what I wanted. I wanted a soft, chocolatey brown and I got violety black. Getting BetterThe color was a bit darker than expected but it did cover the gray where I applied it correctly. I thought I would receive the golden highlight set as well but it wasn't included and I'm not sure if on purpose. I did meantime, order another products to bring out the gold tones and I add a ballayage set to my next order thinking that's what I need to lighten the lower part of my hair vs the roots. Delivered fast and nice custom packagingYes, it go delivered in less than a week. And yes i love that every bottle had my name on it. But, they don’t tell you that everything you need to get your custom color, cost EXTRA money. I bought the color i wanted. I wanted to go from dark brown, to light ash brown….. the hair dye made my hair look DARKER. I asked my friends and family and they all agreed with me. I really wanted to try to since they said it’s better quality than the box hair dyes. Yes, it’s prettier and more custom. But the color is the same as a box…. Shows one picture but when you dye your hair it doesn’t come out like the picture…. So then i looked around the website and i needed to buy lighter to lighten my hair…. Color not what I expected and left a burn on my foreheadI really love the concept of getting my own custom color for less, but I have a sensitive scalp and I guess this just didn’t work for me. package came damagedI"m a flight attendant and I'm on the road constantly. So last week, I decided to color my hair. I took out my box and I saw where is leaked into the box. I honestly thought something else spilled on it. I mixed it as I usually do and started to sectioning off my hair. When I was going to start the color, the bottle was extremely warm to the touch. Not usual qualityI was shocked by the state of my latest shipment. I am a long-time customer and I’ve never received a color set like this one. Even during the pandemic, the kit wasn’t like this. If I had been a new customer, I would not have trusted the quality and would not have used the product. The box was beaten up and partially open. I realize this was a mail issue, but inside wasn’t any better. There was not the usual packaging. The items were crammed in and only the developer and color were in a partial shaped cardboard piece. The developer was missing the little cap, and it was some random shampoo and conditioner, not Esalon. It just looked messy and unprofessional. My hair colour didn’t changeMy hair colour didn’t change. I have dark brown hair. I selected medium brown mahogany copper. My hair colour didn’t change. Maybe the slightist bit copper when the light shines, but that’s even a long shot. My hair is still dark brown and doesn’t look different honestly. I studied hairdressing, so the fact the developer is only 20 vol is concerning as I learned 20 vol only changes tone, it doesn’t lift hair colour (go up a shade). . So yeah. It is not a demi permanent colour, ruined my hairI’m so extremely disappointed. Ignoring such a late wait time ( website states AU at the end and shipping time was nothing like on the website) Texture of the dye it weird, kind of like oil not cream, made my hair so freaking dry and horrible to touch. I wasn’t able to brush them for over a week which made then snap Also I ordered a demi permanent colour which came with 10% developer (I found it high but im not a hairdresser) and trusted you guys. Its a permanent hair dye!!!! That I was avoiding for years. You ruined 7years of me growing my hair back. Now I have horrible line and regrowth which I have never got before from demo permanent. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Destroyed my hair. Not goodI followed instructions to a "t." I'm not a newb here, I'm 47 and basically full gray coming in. I was so disappointed when I got out of the shower and my roots were light pink at best. Either the timing was off or the formula is off or something because it didn't take. I saturated them too. Caused huge allergic reactionI have been using eSalon's hair dyes since lockdown and was originally very happy. The last couple of shipments of my custom colour have caused me to have an allergic reaction. Initially like contact dermatitis - itching, flaking and sore around my scalp and ears. This time, my forehead is completely swollen and I am in a lot of pain. Didn't cover the graysI followed the instructions exactly but was disappointed to see just as many grays in my part line as before my coloring.
