Wow. I was scared. I've only used the mousse coloring boxes and I never got the color I really wanted. I sent two pictures to help them and answered all the questions honestly. I've been using this haircolor for 2 years now and have always been extremely happy with it. The color and shine are long lasting! It doesn't fade early and it covers the stubborn grey hairs around my temples and forehead well. My hair has never felt damaged or over-processed even when I had a pet emergency while I was coloring and the product stayed on 10 minutes longer than the maximum recommended time. That was very good news! I believe this product is far superior to the retail store options and am so happy to have found eSalon. Their customer service reps are always gracious and accommodating!

Very pleased with the results. Does not smell like the over the counter products. My hair looks so natural and have been complimented by others. Grey coverage is good too. A little difficult to cover the front greys but overall good.
The color is exactly what I've been trying to get for years! I loved my first order very much, but wanted to adjust it a little bit the second time around to add more gold in the formula. What I got was the shade I've spent countless hours examining boxes on store shelves for. Not only that, store brands always left my hair feeling like straw and the color ran dull not long afterward. Easy, even color and perfect for my skin color. I'm so pleased. I did however have some resistance with my grey around my ears. The color didn't take. I need a product that allows the few stubborn greys to absorb color.
I've NEVER been great at coloring my hair and usually have it done professionally. The first time I tried eSalon, not only was it easy to self-color but it completely colored my gray hair AND made it shiny. I have used eSalon color for about a year now. It is easy-to-use and provides excellent coverage. I have been doing the root touch up where I apply color to the roots for 20 minutes and then add color to the rest of my hair for a short time to keep from over processing. The results are natural, multi-faceted color that has incredible shine and softness.

It easy and it does last a little longer than off the shelf color, but salon coloring last much longer.
The color is great the grays look like highlights.
I have been very satisfied with the product.
I really like my new color that they personally picked for me based on my pictures and the desired outcome. I do want to move on to adding a little more red color to it instead of brown. The delivery options are a great thing for those of us who forget or are too busy to remember to get it. They communicate with you on a regular basis. I would recommend to everyone that colors their hair, man or woman. Thanks and have a great day.
I started with a darker color and changed it when I lightened my hair. I use this product every other color time and find it works great. I have skin sensitivities and l have not had trouble w that. You have to make sure to leave it on long enough because if like me w very strong gray (had since I was young) then you know how other stuff works...or doesn't. You may have to leave on a little longer by 5 min...in my experience. I love it because I save money and time. I love pampering myself as much as the next girl but sometimes it just gets in the way. Doing this at home is a great option for me.
Hair color is very good. Commuicating with staff to make color changes very smooth. Available information on web site gives you many tools to work with to make your choices. On occasion I have sent photos of my hair to assist the colorist in my requests. Again very professional with these communications. The product is great and easy to use
This product doesn't leave your hair brittle and dry like the off the shelf products. I love all the accessories that come with each package. The applicator bottle makes it very easy to get into all the "nooks and crannies" of your head to ensure you get to all those pesky little gray hairs!! You also can't beat the price for salon quality.
Color is wild 1st few days but I always get compliments! It then mellows perfectly. People cant believe its not my natural color. My regrowth is hardly noticeable! Love it!
This is the best hair color I've used by far. When I color in the salon it starts to wash away literally in two weeks it's been three weeks and it's still going strong. And i'm washing my hair. I am African American and in case you didn't know, most of us only wash our hair once a week and even with that my color used to start coming out when water hadn't even touched it ! I am very happy with this formulation. I will need to get the touch up brush though because I have very visible grays in the hairline and that has improved but not fantastic like the rest of the hair. But this is understandable, it's next to your face that you wash twice a day! Overall very happy with this product.
The only thing left to do is change my shipment date as I am not coloring as often.
This is definately salon quality but so much cheaper. My hair always feels silky smooth when Iv used it and comes with really useful assessories pack every time. I won't be going back to box dyes or the salon
Loved it. Easy to use, professional service and packing too. Colour lasts, my usual colour would have started to wash out at the roots by now (Preference by L'Oreal) but this has staying power and with great condition too. Prefer the colour now having had a few washes, but have communicated to the team at e-salon. This system is so helpful than guessing on the boxes!
I am so happy that I switched to e salon for my hair color. Before, I was going to a salon, spending lots of money only to have the color burn my scalp, and a few days after my scalp would start to "exfoliate", and I would have massive flakes for days! I've been coloring my hair for a long time. So many leave your hair looking flat, one dimensional, all one color. With my Custom Hair Color, my hair has more depth of colors. Lighter tones and darker tones. Looks great. I also love how I can change it up a bit whenever I want, recently I went with a little more gold. So easy. I love this hair color.
I started using this product on a friend's recommendation when my regular stylist went on maternity leave - and I haven't gone back to her. This so perfectly meets my needs I'm amazed - no appointments, no remembering to make an appointment, no sitting for hours in a salon listening to inane chatter. Best color I have ever had. Matches my skin tone perfectly. Doesn't cost as much as going to the salon but has the same result. The color has lasted and covered all my gray hair also unlike store bought brands and looks natural
eSalon is the best thing since sliced bread. I never used permanent color on my hair. The color I chose is Ash Brown because I needed a change. The application was very easy to follow. It totally changed my appearance and I love it!

I struggled for a long time to find a color that was the same shade of red that I had when I was younger. After only one tweak, eSalon formulated the exact color I wanted. Very easy to apply this color myself.

I LOVE eSalon so much. I've been using it for 3 years now, and don't think I'll ever go back. I just changed hair stylists and my new stylist asked if the color was natural. If she had to ask, I think it's a pretty great/natural match.
I also love that every time I ask for a change if my hair color is getting too warm or brassy, the next batch is perfect. It's not a drastic change, but just the right amount to bring it down a notch. Then we're back to the original recipe.
Because I have very thick and long hair, I get two bottles of color and gloss, and it's still less expensive than going to the salon. I still have my own natural highlights show through, so my hair is never flat and one dimensional. I can't recommend eSalon enough. Give it a try.

Every single hair dye I have EVER used, EVER, has dyed my scalp. It washes out a couple days later, sure, but the scalp gets dyed, Except this one. I'm sat here now, my scalp is it's normal colour and the hair feels AMAZING! It feels gorgeous, soft, and looks gorgeous. Having two dyes to apply is a faff but honestly, for this? Totally worth it!!
