Still grayThis product after several tries for the last few months does not cover my gray hair at my roots around my face. DisappointingAlthough I followed the online instructions for what I wanted in hair color and included a photo of my current blonde hair AND followed hair coloring instructions to a "T" - my hair color was darker than it's ever been in my life. I asked for strawberry medium blonde and I now have mousy brown hair with a tinge of red at the roots if you look at it in the right light. I've shampooed it several times and after a week - it has not lightened much. VERY disappointed. Terrible colourI informed e-salon that my hair is medium brown and I ordered medium ash brown hair colour. When my product arrived it was light ash brown. I e-mailed them that they had sent me the wrong product and that I didn't want my hair to go lighter as it always goes orange. They asked mt to phone them. The girl that I spoke to, Danielle, said that because the product I had ordered had so much ash in it they'd sent me a light/medium brown. She said that the product couldn't make my hair any lighter because it doesn't contain bleach. She advised that I do a strand test first. I did a strand test first but I couldn't really tell so I decided to use the product. My hair came out lighter and orange just as I'd worried and I had to re-dye it immediately with my usual colour. Greatly disappointed.I originally ordered a lighter shade but customer service emailed me saying they thought it was too light and my hair wouldn't turn out right. So I worked with the gal over the phone and we picked a color closer to my natural dark blond. I very clearly told her my hair has red undertones if the color is warm it will turn brassy and that I needed an ash or cool tone dye. She assured me this color would work. No, no it did not. Poor customizing colorI submitted several photos over a 3 month period of the warm blonde coloring I desired. Time after time I received ashy blond kits that left me looking washed out with my light complexion. Very disappointed, I had hoped I would find a coloring system with home delivery. Not for me....My neighbor and I both tried eSalon at the same time; once we received our order my cousin (professional beautician of 20+ yrs) applied our color for us. The initial color for both looked awesome. Purchased in Sept. my neighbor still looks awesome mine however faded in less than two weeks and my gray came back wayyyyyyyy too early. Did not get good resultsI was hopeful when I saw the two different bottles of color for the roots and ends. But when I opened the bottles the smell was so strong. I followed the directions but now my roots are a pinkish color and it did not color all my gray. The ends are darker than expected. And my hair is now very dry, before coloring with esalon my hair was healthy and shiny. I will be going back to my old standby color. Disappointed:-(I am not pleased with my hair and now I never want to dye my own hair again. My color was way too dark and was the same color all over even though I was supposed to do my roots a different color than my ends. Great color/Don't LastI purchased this product in September 2016. I used it October 4th. While the color was fantastic and perfect due to my colorist and not my choice, it did not last as long as I thought it would. I chose the color for my hair but because of the pictures I sent in, "My" colorist saw that the colors I chose were too dark. She not only corrected the color but sent it out as well. She was ready to send out the darker color, if needed. My only problem was that the color didn't last long enough. So close yet so farOrder arrived a week earlier than expected, which was great! Packaging was brilliant, had all that was necessary and was easy to use. Issues: it did not cover my pink strands. I picked the bleached highlights option and specifically added the information to the colourist, but my auburn colour has these pink strands still in it. This is a shame because I actually like the colour on the rest of the hair and in terms of damage it is quite reasonable, but I will probably have to apply something else to reach a more uniform colour... Aweful!I was so excited to get this color but the first time I tried it my hair turned GREEN!! Only on the ends but I hated it. I ended up using oops to take it out. Not colour I expectedI was really keen to try this new colour but very disappointed, it was meant to be a red mahogany colour, it's more burgundy. I did exactly what the instructions said, been left with lighter bits where grey comes in don't think it's any better than the regular home colour I normally buy at less cost. No good for relaxed hairWhen I bought this product I explained that I relaxed my hair. I even wait till Monday to ask if it was OK to use it with all the peroxide that was included in the box. Too much goldThis was a top quality product. My hair feels great and it was professional quality color--great for grays and matching new roots!! I would give it 5 stars for the right color. However, it was listed as "cool beige" and I assumed there would not as much red tint in it. I did see the pre-mix said "gold" as an ingredient, but I assumed because it was a teeny-tiny amount compared to the ash and blonde, and since this was a professional service listing the color as "cool", that it would still turn out as a cool blonde and not bronzy. The color gave me a very bronze tint in my hair like box dyes too. Something was not right from the start.When I shampooed out the product the rinse water had a massive amount of scummy frothy soap/dye? I was happy with the color and texture at the beginning, but by the time the first auto-reorder came up I now have dry brittle hair that has been falling out continuously. Luckily I have thick wavy hair to begin with, but not even my argon oil treatments and complete avoidance of heat styling tools, elastics, pins, etc has stopped the daily hair loss. Did not turn out rightI got a custom made color because i wanted to go light blonde. I sent pics of my hair and made notes saying that my hair tebds to turn brassy . Im not surprised with my luck lately of coyrse my gahr didnt turn out right. Its brassy n much much darker than i wanted. Color lovely but does not lastI have now tried 3 rounds of eSalon color. My color formulation has changed several times to try to get it right. While I appreciate the flexibility of the eSalon team, my color just never landed in the right zone. On the one occasion that I really liked the color, it faded within 3 weeks, starting to fade after the first wash. Difficulty with hair colorI had such a hard time washing out the color. I used the shampoo and conditioner and it still feels greasy. When it dried, I had a gray streak on my front right side and i have never had gray and other colors showed up. It did not turn the color i expected it to be. I got the lightest blonde and it turned ash blonde which i really do not care for. One time i used garnier hair color, it turned ash blonde also. I would like to give it another try to see if it was just a faulty hair color or i was sent the wrong one. I usually get a much lighter color when i use one from the drugstore, that's why i was thinking maybe I was sent the wrong one. Like i said, I would give it one more chance but I don't want to take much more of a chance for something bad to happen to my hair. I like the shampoo and conditioner and would definitely buy more.
