Not to happyI have requested every time I have ordered to receive Medium Brown with blonde highlights. Also, a color that covers the gray and to leave hair with NO Red or Orange tones. Color is always too darkMy color always looks painfully dark for the first week- and then starts to look better after several washes and sunshine: More like my natural color. It tends to be a bit flat and lacks shine. I’ve added a personal keratin treatment to help with the flatness. i was very unhappy with the color.I wanted a light strawberry blonde and I received a reddish mahogoney color. I am very unhappy. Maybe I wasn't correct in my choice but still very unhappy. i will use a medium blonde in 2 weeks to see if I can soften the color., if not I will go to a professional salon. Did not cover gray's at allFirst, there's seems to be alot of steps for this product. It smells, i would suggest adding a fragrance. I followed directions thoroughly because I wanted to make sure my grays were covered. However it did not do a thing. The next day I found even more grays. Will not reorder, disappointed. You got it wrongMy name on the parcel My name on the bottle Only after I had done my hair and it looked too dark did I check and the made for sheet is for someone else!! Mine should have been lightest blonde but now it’s dark blonde/light brown and god forbid if the other girl got mine. I’m fuming. I am Very DisappointedI had natural red hair. I wanted to cover a couple of grey hairs that I have and decided to lighter my hair a little while I was at it. I had a very difficult time figuring out how to match my natural color and choose a shade lighter. I did the best that I could. My hair looks terrible now. It was a beautiful shade of red, now it is dark with some red coming through. No purple at allI got this today and dyed it this afternoon. Everything went well. The color looked purple in the bottle, but the result is just brown with no purple tone whatsoever. I've dyed straight purple dye over my brown hair before, without bleach, and have gotten a deep purple tone. This had none. I followed directions exactly. So much BREAKAGE!Would not recommend. The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the coverage was good. There was so much breakage I was worried I was going to have to cut it all off. Thank goodness my hair is thicker. My hair was very healthy, I had only highlighted it twice, and wanted to go back to my natural color so I ordered this set. Followed the directions completely. Then when I messaged in to them about it, all they recommended to me was a hair mask! From them, that I would have to purchase! No thanks, save your money, guys. Too dark and too redThe color was much too dark and came out a pinkish-red. After a few days and shampoos, it faded a bit, but was still too dark for me. I asked for a lighter color for the next order and was told they couldn’t lighten it as much as I had asked for. Well, I went to the store and bought what I’ve always used before, light natural blond by L’Oreal, and my hair came out to be just what I wanted. Color faded fastEven with leaving the color on for a longer allotted amount of time than required, within two weeks the color had faded and my grays began to show through again, even with using the color treated shampoo, conditioner and color tint. I also washed my hair in cold water hoping that it would help retain some of its vibrancy but it didn’t help. UnsatisfiedWhen I first started with esalon, they gave me my color with a 20 vol developer. I’m a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist so I know a thing or two about hair and how to color. After the first four times using esalon, I started to notice breakage on my edges and my front hair line. Since, I am using black hair color them there is NO reason at all why I should be using a 20 vol developer. I figured the high vol of developer is what caused my breakage. I emailed them to change the developer to a 10 so that wasn’t an issue. After each color, I washed my color out and the process has been far from easy. Here’s some of the cons I’ve noticed using esalon color: 1. It takes forever to rinse out. 2. The color feels sticky like glue when trying to wash it out which is not normal. 3. I would give less stars if I couldI got 2 bottles of color one for the roots and one for the ends I got 3 sections of hair riot colored and small part of 4th and ran out of color. I was expecting it to be a darker copper then what it is. I said I have long thick hair so I would think they should know that requires more color. I am devastated.I have medium/dark brown hair with red undertones and I like to color it a brighter red. I selected a dark brown/red/ burgundy as my new color, and sent a picture which is recommended. I also advised that I was looking for intense color. After coloring with E-salon, my hair is dark dark dark brown now.....AT BEST! I think it looks black. I hate it. My hair is dry and miserable looking. I followed directions to a T, and read all the reviews. Decent color, fades quicklyI'm happy with the color right when I dye it, but it fades quickly. I know reds are hard to maintain, but I've done red in the past with many different brands (both grocery store box dyes and higher quality salon dyes), and haven't had as much fading as I have with esalon. Color still to darkI want to change up the color to Strawberry Blonde 8.34. I'm looking for lighter please change formula if you have too. Also the formula was so thick I could not even squeeze it out of the bottle and the bottom of the bottle would not even mix up. This was not a good batch for me this time. Color sethi the color hardly covered the roots of my hair, my hair is gray mostly , the sides did NOT cover at all even thou it was applied by a friend who is hairstylist. the scalp was burning the whole time while i had the color on and now the skin is extremely dry....Not for me. Uncooperative Customer ServiceI have requested MULTIPLE times to receive the color that I ordered, not the color one shade lighter that the stylist recommended. On my most recent order, I again made it extremely clear that I wanted MY color in BOTH bottles I was purchasing. The only communication I received in return was the auto-response message sent out immediately after sending my request (again). Despite it being sent in PLENTY of time for them to send me what I actually ordered, they still neglected to do so. I was furious when I again opened my box to find that they again sent me only one of my two bottles in the correct color. And despite me having expressed my dissatisfaction to them multiple times, they still have yet to right this situation. So much for the BS "100% satisfaction guarantee." I am extremely disappointed. I love the product. I love the dye, the kit, the fact that it's mailed directly to me, everything about it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get them to work with me and actually give me what I want. More gold than ashMy hair is a little softer using this kit, but the color overall was way more golden than I wanted and the kit was over packaged and wasteful. I already have what I need for coloring at home. Maybe put an option for full kit or color and developer only? I understand that you want to protect the content of the package during shipping, but the box could easily be half the size and there's hardly any need for all the plastic anymore, look at what Lush has done! UpsettingIt isn't at all the color I expected. I was trying to attain my original color and what I got was a dull mahogany/pink. It has no shine or luster at all and it is a brassy pinkish red. It doesn't look like me at all and my coloring doesn't match my new hair. I am trying to work with a colorist to correct the problem. Color did not take! My roots are a noticeably different shade!Extremely disappointed. My hair looks almost exactly like my natural hair color while the rest is the color provided in my last box. Why did product change??I’ve been a customer for 9 mos. Loved it up until the last two colors. The first time, it was very difficult to wash out of hair. Felt like a handful of Vaseline was left on my scalp and hair. Rinsed and rinsed but had same feeling. About two weeks passed when hair finally felt normal again. The next coloring, I dreaded because of the gummy Vaseline feeling. I made sure to follow directions exactly thinking I had done a step wrong. I had no issues with coloring the first six mos. Same results on this coloring also. Tried different shampoos and was trying to rinse out the feeling for 30 mins. That feeling was still there. I have put off doing the next coloring as it’s just the worst feeling to have in your hair. I did call Cust Svc and they were nice and said to add baking soda when rinsing. I will do this color one more time and add the baking soda. Pretty sure I’m canceling my membership :| I love the color but that feeling!!!! Doesn’t cover my graysFollowed the directions and my grays are just tinted. I thought I wasn’t supposed to pay for it if I was unsatisfied. After discussing issues with my colorist, I ordered 2 more times (none free) and still didn’t get the desired results. No money back or anything. Never lost so much hair...Positive: The final result is good, good gray coverage. Negative: I didn’t find easy to apply in the back of my head. The product irritated my eyes when I was blending the color, I had to skip this step because the smell was so strong it was hard to breathe. Has anyone really tried this?I wonder if the person who wrote the instructions has actually gone through these steps. The product is more fluid than other hair color products, requiring me to cover every inch of my bathroom to prevent drops of color flying everywhere- walls, the toilet tank, window sill, etc. The packages are impossible to open without a scissors, particularly the small packets Then try it with wet hands. And have you ever tried to put water from the shower into that small bottle? The new formula on the highlights was terribleThe adjustment made for this order of my highlights was terrible. it was bright orange, brassy and was supposed to be lighter blond. Completely wrong for my skin tone. The color was so bad that I had to use and waste my root color that I planned to use 2 weeks from now to cover up the highlights. Don’t like the colorThe color is too light for my hair. Normally I use a high end product to color my guy and it is a lot less expensive that your hair color. Therefore I am trying to cancel this subscription but cannot find a way to do so other than call. This is a high inconvenience for me. When I joined I was told I could cancel any time but I am having a difficult time doing so. Please just cancel my subscription. I will try to call later unless you are able to do so through this. I did not like the color you sent me. I use 10 volume but I feel like it was more than that as my roots came out so light. Usually my dye blends in great with my hair and doesn’t make my roots light. DisappointedThis is my third attempt with ESalon. The first time I wasn't pleased but fully accept this was issues with my selections. I fed back and alterations were made and I was delighted. I died my hair last week, the day before going on holiday as I was now confident we had it right. However I was wrong, yes my roots were no longer dark but my hair did not have the brightness and vibrancy of the previous colouring. Surely it should be the same each time, the information in the sheet was correct but I knew looking at the bottle when mixed up it was not going to be what I wanted. Colour not light brownI recently had my first esalon delivery and requested a light brown. Unfortunately the result is a red/brown with my grey a light orange. As much as this may be customised there are not enough colour swatches to choose from to obtain you desired colour. Extremely brassy and highly unattractiveThe color I received is absolutely awful. The “natural” golden toned dark blond is a hideous, brassy, mustard colored mess. Too lightColour quality is good and it does look like salon color but it was too light for my hair amd did not suit my skin color.ive got dark cherry red hair and it was light brown and now my hair looks very light and i personaly dont like the color and dont feel like it suits my skn color either. 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. This isThis is the second time that I have used this product. I ordered dark brown both times and my color turned out very light not dark brown at all.They sent me it the second time at no charge and it still is very light not dark brown at all.So very disappointed in this product .I would not recommend it to anyone.
