UnimpressedColor was NOT as shown. Never received a call from a colorist to discuss my initial color order, as advertised. It does not cover gray well. The only positive thing is the gal who canceled my future orders was very pleasant. Overall it was a bad experience and exactly like buying drugstore color. I'll stick with John Frieda color. Just NoWas looking forward to going back to blonde. I’m naturally a medium blonde who dyes a little bit lighter and more golden and was hoping for something close to that but this is way darker. DarkerI asked for a light brown color & somehow I ended up with close to jet black hair. Not sure how I’ll be able to go back to a lighter color without damaging my hair. Was darker than the picture i selectedI selected a color that had more red and gold tones to it but what i received was a more dark brown with a little red in it. Beware, horrible productI will not ever use this product again, nor can I recommend it. My hair has been damaged and was orange and falling out. This is not the first time I have colored my hair, I have been doing color on my hair for 30 plus years and this by far is the worst product. I had to have color correction done and now I’m working with my stylist to get my hair healthy again. Straw-like!Having chosen a shade - dark blonde - to slightly darken my hair colour and add shine, I am deeply disappointed in E-Salon. Whilst the experience of “personalised” hair colour is tempting, I found that the dye made my hair very dry and actually made it look dull instead of lustrous. Totally wrong colorThis was, I think, my 3rd attempt with esalon color. The first kits were used following exact instructions and there was no color change from before coloring to after. No gray cover up, no noticeable before to after color change. This time I switched out the 20 volume developer for 10 volume and there was color change all right. A totally different color which I'm sure will be blamed on the developer switch. There was no strawberry in this strawberry blonde and a medium almost ashy blonde was the result. It was a shocking color change when I went into work the next day. I was looking for a light shade of strawberry blonde to cover my graying temples. Great in a pinch if you want to save moneyThis product is not as good as a salon, for me. I can see where it might be for others, but my hair is extremely fine and fragile. The color this product gives is wonderful, but it leaves my hair dry and brittle. Color fried my hairI have used products a few times getting progressively darker. This time I again asked for a shade darker and followed the instructions exactly. House of waxI used this product a few years ago and loved it and decided to try it again to save $$ at the salon. I think they have reformulated their product since because when I tried to wash the dye out in the shower barely any came out and a waxy film is stuck to my scalp and hair. Beautiful color, Nasty smellI love the color, but am unable to use due to it’s high ammonia smell. Get rid of the ammonia and I’d consider coming back. However, nobody responded to me when I cancelled my auto order due to the ammonia content, so, I don’t think I’ll be back ordering any time soon. Does not wash out of hairI have used this product for years but now canceling my subscription. I liked the original formula but it seems to have changed and I have a problem rinsing it out. Not worth the priceThe product is harder to use than your typical box root touch-up. For example, mixing the leftover color with water to rinse my hair is not the easiest thing to do- color everywhere! Plus, it didn't perfectly color my grays. I have to say that customer service was wonderful- canceled my subscription without any problems. HORRIBLE!The first order didn't adequately cover my gray and left my ends very dark. My second order, which I have yet to receive, was supposed to be better. However, eSalon chooses to bulk ship leaving it up to USPS to sort packages then deliver during the busiest time of year! I changed my delivery date to 12/13 thinking I'd get it within a week so I could color my hair before the holiday. Well, guess what? My order was sitting in San Diego USPS for 5 days and won't arrive until late 12/23. So I get to color my hair on CHRISTMAS EVE!!! What was Customer Services response? I could pay an additional $5 for priority shipping! Now why on earth should I need to use Priority Shipping to ship a product from LA to San Diego? Did eSalon offer any sort of compensation? Horrible color, multiple horrible colorsUPDATE: Filed complaint, sent another horrible product (should've been supplied 1st time) that I DID NOT WANT. Had cancelled after 1st disaster-NOW I'M RECEIVING MORE SHIPMENTS. I HATE THIS SCAM COMPANY THAT RUINED MY HAIR. I want unenrolled and money returned. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. What a disaster. Had light copper/orange hair (pictures provided), asked for same..and no burgundy/coppers. This apparently means mahogany and dark red to Esalon. Shocker, it’s burgundy/dark pink/brown. Roots horrible pinkish burgundy, rest of hair (not enough solution to cover) streaked, dull, and, yup, dark burgundy. Additionally, hair fell out in chunks. Washed several times to tone horrible red, only half lightened. Event coming up, what a nightmare. Can’t discuss with esalon, as customer service unavailable or closed during operating hours x3 days. Clearly didn’t read my color requests, easier to use box salon. At least can gauge colors. Horrible, ugly, false advertising. Looks cheap, dull, dry, splotchy, and tacky color. Completely unsatisfiedI was really looking forward to receiving this product I was pretty excited. It burned my scalp it was extremely strong way stronger than any box kit I've ever had from the store I couldn't breathe I had to open all my windows which really didn't help since it was raining out my color came out dull and disgusting the ends were lighter than the rest of my hair which I've never experienced. I will not be purchasing this product again. I did go and buy argan oil developer and argan oil hair color from Sally Beauty Supply and it is the best I have ever used. No burning no disgusting smell no ammonia. Thanks for nothing I will say I'm very grateful that the other hair dye Argan Oil saved my hair after using your product otherwise I'd be demanding my money back. I didn't take any photos cuz who the heck wants to take a photo of themselves looking like that. I just quickly wanted it gone. I understand I may be the exception to the rule and other people may love this product and I think that's great and I'm happy for them and I'm sad that it didn't work for me. Very Disappointed - Color was much darker than in photoI did all as instructed and set my timers right. The end result was a much darker color than the photo. The result was supposed to be a Dark Strawberry Blonde But ended up with a Mocha Cinnamon color - can’t wait to re-color and get rid of this ugly color now on my hair! 0 of 0 people found this review helpful. Too Red instead of a soft blondeTried 2 times this time and getting redder, have the tints and nothing seems to take the red out. It’s a strawberry blonde now and dislike it very much. I will stop for now and pull the color out and add the color I need. But Thank you. It’s just not working, like it used to with the lightest blond. I have tried to explain but noticed no change. Too much REDI have been trying to change my hair to Medium Blonde (Ash). I have used the kits you sent me except for the highlights. I don't want to put blonde highlights over red hair.
