Did not send enough product to color all my hair only rootsUsually when I go to the salon they do the roots first and then pull the color through the rest of my hair. First time using eSalonI received a call from esalon before the shipment, she gave me advice and we changed the color to a lighter shade also used a primer before the color as instructed. Hair too lightThe color that I received was too light. I had sent a photo but the colorist never called me to make any adjustments. I thought that was the purpose of using eSalon as a professional would look at the photo and make changes. No one contacted me. Asked for lighter, but sent darkerI specifically asked for lighter, but was sent darker. Great idea but results were not thereIt was my first time trying esalon and I have to say I was very impressed with the packaging and the product was also branded very nicely. Color was way wrongMy color was way too dark. The bottle said light brown, but now all my gray is dark brown, and my natural is screaming with lots of red undertones. They included some ash in the light brown, as I specified that my hair is prone to red tones, but there was clearly not enough. Unfortunately, because all the salons are closed due to quarantine, I have to live with this color for a while until I dare to try to correct it. I had misgivings going into this given how everyone's level of experience with color is different, and this was exactly what I feared would happen. Thankfully, I don't have to go to work, but it's still quite upsetting. Smell Is very badI completed my color for the first time and the smell was horrible. A day later I am still fighting a headache. I have had my hair colored at salons for years but do not remember the smell being that strong. Good gray coverageIt colored most of my grays, except the sides still look gray just after a few days. Another good thing about this color is the lack of smell. I was expecting softer and shinier hair than the result I received. Absolute waste of moneyAfter trying to buy a colour to do myself and explaining I usually get highlights and lowlights - which I clearly cannot manage myself. I thought I had opted for an all over light ash blonde colour. The instructions say this is roots only which is pointless and it will not match the rest of my hair!!! Not the color I chose! Burning scalp!I ordered the dark brown violet pearl and even uploaded a pic of my current color. My after-color hair has absolutely no violet to it, it’s brown and brassy red. I’ve been coloring my hair for 15 years and have never had my scalp burn after the way it it did with this color. TOO DARKThis is the second time I ordered this color and I loved it the first time. It had dimension and very little red. This time when I used it, it was extremely dark, practically black with ALOT of red undertone, which is not what I wanted at all. I contacted their customer service and they said someone would be with me soon. But I haven't heard anything back. Did Not Work!I was pretty clear with my colorist about how stubborn my grays are, but it doesn't appear that any modifications were done to my custom instructions or the custom color to make the color adhere better, or at least to lengthen the processing time to allow time for stubborn grays to go away. I followed the directions, exactly, and afterwards, as soon as I was done washing my hair, I went to the mirror to check the results, and....huge disappointment! I still have gray showing, crystal clear, at my temple areas, and those were the areas I covered first, just to give them longer before rinsing. DissapointedI did not get anything close to what I asked fot, i said my hair was dark brown with carmel to lighter highlights, and I get grey easy, and that I needed to cover grey now, they sent me just a dark brown for my roots only, that will do nothing for me. OVERPRICED GARBAGEWhen I got my color I followed the instructions to a T and I had a beautiful deep rich shiny mahogany color. I didn't wash my hair for several days and when I finally did with a reputable brand of sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner after the second time the color had all completely faded out and I now have a light strawberry blonde. Not Dark beige blonde, but reddy brownI have light brown and grey soft regrowth from highlights. I ordered dark beige blonde. Followed instructions exactly, left with reddy light brown tinge. It isn't terrible, it is blended, but it just isn't want i wanted. Still red tonesUnfortunately your adjustment did not get rid of the orange and red colours now it’s just a maroon red, I Appreciate everything you’ve tried but like I said ash colours are the only colour that works better for me which was my initial choice and which I’ve not been able to try per your choice . I would be willing to try the medium Ashbrown ,my initial choice at your cost. if this is unacceptable then I will just move on. Nothing like I orderedVery disappointed, Color was supposed to be a bright copper blond but it barely covered my grey roots and regrowth and left them a horrible light brown and the rest of my hair it dulled and darkened the bright copper it already was. I used to use a garnier nutrisse color in vibrant light copper 74 but they stopped making it in the usa so I have been buying it from the ukraine on ebay where it is sold under a different name, I was hoping esalon might be my answer but unfortunately not. Damaged HairThis was my second time to color my hair with E-Salon. I followed the directions and after I shampooed and conditioned my hair, I had to wash it again and it still felt waxy. Couldn’t get all the color out. Called customer service and they suggested I use baking soda with the shampoo and that should take care of the issue. While it helped, I still had to wash my hair 2 more times, so 6 times in all to get all of the color out and I was left with damaged hair. I called back again and they said they would send me some repair shampoo and conditioner. Before this I had hair below my shoulders and I ended up having to cut my hair short to right at my neckline because it was so damaged. Way darker than what I selectedI was unable to get to the salon before the 2020 corona virus state shut down. I ordered a color that was medium brown, and told my colorist that I wanted something to get the red out. She adjusted the color and I was sent DARK brown because she thought the original color I selected would be too "warm". I have nothing against warm, it was the reddish orange color I didn't want. I am almost fully gray, so now I have dark red where I was gray and almost black for the rest of my hair. I am sad that I was sent such a dark color. After what seemed like an eternity of back and forth with the consultant, she said to patch test the color before hand but I couldn't stand waiting another week with no color for my hair, so I tried it. Too orangeIt seems like the 2 bottles were switched. I DID NOT mix them up. I'm very used to coloring my hair. But bottle one was supposed to be more dark blonde than gold and mahogany but my roots look ORANGE!!! Not dark blonde. Not mahogany. Orange. Not happy whatsoever. And the smell!!! Coarse and damages hairI followed the directions very carefully, including the "very important final step" of massaging my scalp with leftover color mixed with water for 2-3 minutes in the shower. When doing so, the smell was overwhelming; it made me cough and it made my eyes water. The texture of my hair after washing with the shampoo and using the conditioner can only be described as damaged, coarse and straw-like. I am very disappointed in the condition of my hair following the application of this hair color. didn't feel "customized"as you can see, my roots are darker than the rest of my hair. i wanted an all over, one color look, but the colors sent to me for roots and ends were the same color, and now my roots are still darker. didn't feel like a customized color process after all was said and done. i really like the color my ends came out, but i'm highly disappointed with the roots. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Too DarkHello, The color ended up being to dark in comparison to the rest of my hair and created an obvious separation of the new roots and my fading highlights it didn't blend in naturally. Also after washing it the tone turned really red, and in pictures my hair looked burgundy. Not correct coloring.I specifically stated in my instructions that I was ordering the light ash blond because my hair has Gold and Red undertones and I wanted a light blond without any hints of those colors coming through. After coloring my hair was COMPLETELY GOLDEN. I'm extremely disappointed as I was a previous customer and came back to give them another shot and now I'm not sure what to do. I’ve been a little disappointed.My last 2 color sets have not covered my gray roots as they usually do. I left the color on my roots for 30 minutes last time, but the result was a transparent looking light red color that doesn’t match the rest of my hair that is a darker red brown. Didn’t do anythingI used the recommended colorfill, then followed the directions and added the Demi color to my hair. Neither of the products seemed to work. Not even my lighter ends picked up color. Medium blondeThis blend is on orange side. It defiantly does not blend with my Natural color. Not requested colorI'm dissapointed. I requested a more neutral shade with a hint of warmth but the color I received (and followed instructions for using) turned out VERY warm (orangeish). In fact, the color seems very close to the last color I received and wasn't satisfied with. The pic (of my desired color) I attached to my last order is much more of a rich, neutral medium brown base color, and the highlights are a caramel shade. I'll accept another free base color that attempts to meet the more neutral shade I'd like (with a touch of warmth). Loved the color, but grays still thereI was skeptical about getting a hair color over the internet, but I after I finish coloring, I was shock on how good it looked. I was disappointed in the coverage for my gray hair. Did not cover my gray hairs at all. I have them around my temple of my head. I was very disappointed with that, I had to go get a gray touch up to make it looked good.
