Ordered hair color to find out it was being shipped late (due to Covid-19 virus) so I picked up drug store. I wanted to put my order on hold and it was so easy. A+ for customer service and can’t wait to try color in 4 weeks. Will update review then
I have NEVER coloured my hair myself before so this was a real game changer for me, especially during lockdown.
The instructions were easy to use, clear and simple with brilliant online guides too. I ordered the cape and tools too as have very long hair and despite a slight, and I mean slight, darker shade that I am used to -which in all honesty was probably due to the picture I sent them - I think I am converted. Definitley tweaking and using again for sure.
Easy instructions, product kit box includes sample shampoo and conditioner. I did the hair strain test, and there is a odor with the developer. Odor does dissipate. .Color covers gray part line. Color is beautiful ! 4/8/2020 first time application,
OK, so I'm a total chicken! I'm 69 years old and I've been getting my hair colored since I started going white in my 20's. I finally did it yesterday..and it came out GREAT! I found one tiny bit that I missed but that's it! It's funny because today I received an Email from eSalon saying it is time to color again...but it's taken me this long to get up the nerve to do it. I love the color...honestly, my husband says it looks better than some of the times I've returned from the hairdressers. LOL, now that he's seen that I can do this, he wants me to dye his hair too! I can't remember EVER coming home from the salon and not having spent at least $100....and that was single process and no hair cut. WOW! This really worked and I could not be happier! THANK YOU!
I am really particular about hair tones. I hate warm tones and I love cool tones. The dark ash brown was really really ashy, and I love it. I see no red undertones. This is legit a better match to what I want than what my hair stylist has achieved. Highly recommend.
I was already a customer four years ago, then I tried conventional colours again (discounters, hairdressers). One was to expensive and the other had bad qualities - therefore e-Salon again. The approaches are covered very well and the care speaks for itself. Many thanks!!!

This was my first time trying an online color salon and I'm so pleased that I did. There was good, clear, communication from eSalon before my first order was shipped and I found the website easy to use. I uploaded photos of my initial haircolor and sent messages via the website. My colorist suggested I try demi permanent color and I'm so glad she did. The root coverage ( I had about 1" of gray roots) was great. I did cheat on the application and got my husband to apply it ( he's not a hairdresser) and the look is a perfect, even color all over. Thanks eSalon. I am extremely impressed with my custom color! I have been getting my hair professionally colored black (Redken Chromatics 1NN) every 4 weeks for the past 3 years. I had to miss my touch up appointment at the salon when they closed down so it had essentially been 8 weeks since I colored my regrowth! I did research for days and read tons of reviews searching for a brand that I could trust that wouldn’t ruin the healthy state of my hair. Seeing how eSalon is completely customizable on your hair structure made me very comfortable with choosing them!
Once I received my own little custom box, I was amazed with the level of thought and effort that the company puts into making each color special for each person. I had the help of my boyfriend to apply the color and I loved that you could apply with a bottle and then brush it on. There was tons of color left which was a relief because since you only get one bottle, I was nervous that it wouldn’t be enough. Once I rinsed and blow dried my hair, I was blown away with how gorgeous it looked! The color matched 100% perfectly to my existing hair and my texture was incredibly soft and bouncy. My favorite part is that there wasn’t a bunch of color on my scalp like when I usually leave the salon and my scalp wasn’t itchy at all. I am honestly thinking of cancelling my current shampoo/conditioner subscription to add the classic combo that was sent with my kit! My hair is on day 3 of not being washed and there is NO grease at all! My hair is super shiny also, I seriously could NOT be happier with my results. I haven’t washed it again since, but I’m really hoping the color lasts long so that I can stop spending hundreds at the salon and switch to a lifetime with eSalon! :)
Desperate times call for desperate measures. I have traditionally had my hair colored and trimmed every 4 weeks no matter what. Then came the pandemic. No where to go so I carefully did my research and narrowed it down to eSalon. I couldn’t be happier! My husband says it looks better than when I went to have it professionally done! I have been working with a "brick and mortar" stylist for over a year-trying to explain the color/hue that I wanted. Everytime it was close, but not quite what I really wanted. With eSalon, they NAILED IT on the first try! I am SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED!!

I’m a once every 4 week regular with my professional. Shelter in place happened right before my standing appointment. I knew this was going to be a problem. I had never heard of eSalon but being desperate I decided, after talking to my professional, to give it a try. I uploaded photos and answered the questions. Understandably, it took a few weeks to arrive. It arrived today and I applied to my roots this afternoon. For a first time user, it came out pretty good. I feel so much better with all that gray gone. The color isn’t a perfect match but I’m happy. I sent a picture of the finished product to my professional and she thought it was good. Although I plan to return to her, in case this sheltering in place goes on lots longer, I’m going to order again just to have it on hand. thank you eSalon Team.
I did like the overall product. I have stubborn grey and it seemed to make my roots much darker than the rest of my hair. I did like the step by step instructions and I have very long think hair and had plenty of product to cover my hair. I will purchase this again
Been using eSalon for 6 years and highly recommend their color set. After answering several questions and uploading a photo, it didn't take longer to get a perfect match. It is easy to speak directly to a colorist, too. The formula is gentle on my long hair and I love the freedom of coloring when I want to.
First time using a custom colour set and I have to say it was just fabulous. The whole kit felt very personalised and more expensive than it cost. The delivery time was great considering the current circumstances. I am overall extremely pleased and look forward to making a few changes with my next order in 7 weeks time!

I can't believe how esalon color covered my pure white roots! We are quarantined now with no end in sight. (I've been getting my hair professionally colored for about 3 yrs. ) I didn't know what I would do about my roots. I'm a medium dark brown and this was my natural hair color until the white came in. Esalon covered ALL of my roots and I'm 99.9 % white. It hasn't faded. I sent them 2 pics of my hair color, they matched it perfectly!
I think I'll continue to do my own hair. Huge savings and it looks great

I have been very impressed by my first order from eSalon - my brown shade was perfect and, dare I say it, better than the salon! Dying brown hair can be tricky - it is easy to go too dark towards black or greys turning red. My hair doesn't look like its been dyed. Thanks eSalon!
This was my first purchase and my first time coloring my hair at home. The color is perfect!!! E salon has great instructions and videos which help a lot!! I will definitely continue to use their color!!
I saw the corona writing on the wall in March, ordered your color since it seemed unlikely I would get to my stylist for my usual 4 week gray roots become blonde adventure, and voila - it worked!

I was really surprised how easy it was to color my hair. I was a little nervous because I am a red head and reds can go very wrong. I was very happy with the color and how it totally covered my gray. I would definitely recommend eSalon. The shampoo and conditioner are great too!

This was my first time using your product and the color is perfect! I might need slightly better gray coverage but I’m hopeful the next go around has a little bit more gray coverage. Color was perfection though! I usually go slightly lighter in summer so I’ll be interested to see how it goes. :)
I have coarse, curly with gray hair and there is no comparison to over the counter products. It is like doing it at the salon. Except, it is easier on my Teacher Salary. I love color and highlights too!

First order. My stylist tweeked the color I picked, and she was right on. The color looks amazing! My only slight complaint was my roots are a tad lighter than the rest of my hair. But we’re going to update the next order. I also love that the color didn’t dry my hair out.
I am a redhead and have been to hair salons that don’t get my color right. Your color is amazing as good as my color that I pay almost $100.00 each time I see my hair dresser. I have long long hair. Thin fine hair. Like two inches from the butt long. The amount of dye sent to me was more than enough to get the job done. I got a bottle for my roots and a bottle for my midlengths/ends. It was so easy to follow the directions and apply to my hair. The color was not picture perfect and I imagine that is because my hair was either a bit dark for the lightness it originally showed. This is fine as I am happy with the color that I ended up with. This product did not leave my hair dry or fried. In fact I had shine when done. Not sure if that is because of the shampoo I use or the product? I do have a custom shampoo, not drug store brand. Now I am not sure how this stacks up against drug store hair dye and I have used that as well and was happy with it. I do not feel that drug store brand gave me as much depth as this color did. I would be willing to buy this again for sure. :)
I have never colored my hair by myself before. I don't do complicated color so I thought that I could save money and do my hair color at home. It was so easy! I have a few grays to color and I like to go two shades darker than my own color. From mouse brown to a richer darker brown. I love it!
It took a pandemic to make me venture outside of my hair salon. When my hair colouring set arrived not only was i pleased with how lovely it was packaged but the colour created for me turned out absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend their wonderful colouring products.

I am naturally a redhead. A more Copper red. Since getting older my hair has faded into a lighter blonde color. I LOVE the intense copper, red shine this gives me! It brightens my complexion and brings life back into my hair. Its almost identical to how vibrant my hair color was before it started fading. They nailed my color. I won't use anything else.
I was very skeptical of the at home color thing. But to my surprise, it wasn't that hard. My hair color is perfect and I missed one little spot in the back of my head. Def recommend.
I decided to try ESalon since my colorist would not be coloring my hair for the foreseeable future. I have to say, I love the way it turned out!!! The instructions were easy to follow, the color was exactly what I had hoped for.

Ok- I had my 12 year old volunteer to do my hair. I’ve never colored it on my own and have only had it colored 4 times in my life. I have stubborn grays on probably 25% of my hair. First of all- the color was perfect- I still can’t believe it’s EXACTLY what I wanted. I was just touching up roots so I was really worried the color would be different at my roots and not blend in. It looks and feels amazing and I have Auburnish hair with golden highlights so it’s not an easy color to find- my regular stylist gets close to what I want but it’s never exactly right. THIS is exactly right so yay for Paul C. - that’s the name listed as the colorist. So I have one more hope and that is that it lasts and my grays don’t pop out. Will see but so far I am beyond ecstatic with my hair. So is my 12 year old- I promised to pay her for her work😜

Not a harsh colour in fact I was worried about dying my own hair but due to the virus I had to , it covered my highlights but didn’t make them disappear all together which was great . My hair is very soft too x
I was totally Happy with the color, and I get a lot compliments on it as well and where did I have it done. I will not go to another salon until I have to. One thing I've notice my hair has a silky softness about it.
