I was looking for a change as I turned 23 this year. I had virgin brunette locks. I was ready to be bold. I love how the dye lightened my brown hair and it made it a glorious red-copper. I don''t usually color my own hair but under the current circumstances it was necessary to take on this procedure myself. This was a recommendation from a friend.. I ordered and although the process of coloring my hair was messy ( only because I'm new at this). After I completed the color process I was very pleased with the results.
Called my daughters and told them they have to try it!
It's great. And the Shampoo that comes in the kit is awsome.
I'm still a bit red but hoping a 2nd coloring will take care of that. I really love the ease of use. This color is not washing out like drug store colors!! Worth my time!

Absolutely love the colour. Always scared if box dyes but felt so much confident using this personalised colour. Light blonde with a slight pearl tone. My hair feels really healthy. Would highly recommend. Colour greys perfectly in lockdown!

I don't think it's easy to get the right color blond and this color came out amazing. I'm so glad I found this company. I'm so happy I can do my roots myself since I'm travelling overseas and can't imagine to find a hair dresser in Asia who knows how to do blonds. Lucky for me I can take some bottles with me. Thank you!
I made a last minute change and not only was the change made it was gorgeous on my hair. I love being able to color my hair myself so fast and inexpensive
I was impressed with how easy it was to apply and the results were incredible. I love my base, its not brassy at all and it covered all my grays,. I had about 2 inches of growth and was worried but it turned out better than the salon!! thank you Celine!!
This was super easy. When I first ordered I was nervous that I had chosen the wrong color. I called the company on Monday and discussed my order. The colorist compared my pictures which I uploaded ahead of time to what I had ordered and helped me make a better, more flattering selection. When the color arrived, I was impressed by the contents of the box and the personalized process. Everything I needed was inside the box. I used the cream around my forehead and hairline, sectioned off like in the directions and went for it. My husband helped me touch up the back and take a look at things 15 minutes into the waiting process to make sure those roots were covered! Everything was super clear and worked out just fine with the perfect shade for me. I am not working from home these days and on top of everything else, the appearance of my gray roots was getting to me. I knew of a friend that had ordered before and she had nothing but words of praise for the product. I am loving it too and it has been a morale booster these days. It is lasting really well and the product is so well presented, but without excess packaging, which I loved. I will be doing this again soon and have already called to inquire about a toning masque as well to follow up with after my color.
Today was my first time at colouring my own hair: the instructions were great and the colour was very easy to apply. I only did the roots, I have a fair amount of gray hair, and the coverage is great -- better than I get at my hairdressed. The hair is super shiny and soft. A very positive experience so far!
This is such a great color! My roommate helped me and she said it was super simple to use. I thought the color was going to be lighter that it was. But it looked really good! Would recommend
Color was a perfect match. My husband even noticed and commented that he could see highlights. I'm seriously considering not going back to my colorist. I've had so many issues with the color not taking and spending more time than I care to sitting around at the salon. With e Salon I can do this in the comfort of my own home, while getting stuff done, and saving myself an additional $75 every two weeks. Nice job!
Perfect shade of red that I wanted! Love the fact too that since it was my first order I got color for my roots (which were lighter so the color had more brown in the mixture) and then a second free bottle for my ends that had more red in since my ends were darker!
Once the kit arrived I used it immediately and am delighted with the colour and the ease of application. I missed a few bits sadly but down to my lack of skill rather than the kit will definitely order again.
Never coloured my hair at home before and was terrified! I won't lie, the self application process is a bit fiddly, especially on hair with length. But I persevered and have to say I'm thrilled with the colour! A little darker and richer than my previous mix of blonde highlights and ghastly greys, but it's blended everything together and suddenly I have healthy looking, shiney, vibrant hair! My natural hair colour is a mouse blonde and I dye my hair dark brown (level 4) which makes the blonde regrowth look grey. The colour I chose was a dark brown with mahogany and red. I was worried that an at home hair colour application would turn out patchy and uneven. The opposite is true- the evenness and colour saturation is of such a good quality. The amount you get in an order is amazing- from the shampoo and conditioner to the colour itself it is so worth the money. I blow dried my hair (I put in a heat protectant spray first) and my hair was so soft and shiny, which I was pleasantly surprised by and it felt so healthy. I was expecting my hair to feel like I had dyed it (when going to a salon my hair sometimes feels a bit stiff and artificial in feel) yet this wasn’t the case. Even if you’re nervous to dye your own hair at home, I’d say be brave and try it because it’s definitely worth it. I’m going to continue with the colour plan. Only criticism I have is that my roots are lighter than the rest of my hair but that’s expected as my re growth was really big but it’s only noticeable if you look closely. Overall, 5* quality and customer service.

I have not dyed my own hair in years and was very nervous about doing it on my own. The box and instructions were perfect! It took me some time and I have very long hair, so I did get dye on my arms and was not the cleanest person doing this. The dye came out of my arms in a day. The hair color was perfect and it has been 4 weeks and it still looks great!
I have never attempted to color my hair before. With my salon being closed and my hair in desperate need of a color lift I gave eSalon a try and so thankful I did. The process for creating MY color was following simple instructions on line. I was pleasantly surprised when my color arrived within a week. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Perfect! The color is perfect and my hair looks great! I'm unable to get to my salon right now to deal with my highlights and base color and my roots and regrowth were out of control! The medium blonde was perfect! I haven't colored my own hair in over 15 years!

I used the color for my roots for the first time today. It looks amazing and was simple to use! The original color I picked was tweaked by the stylist and it is perfect.
Loved the color! The process was fairly easy (I normally go to the salon) and I'll definitely do it again. Maybe highlights or a little lighter next time. Not sure- but definitely happy with the product and the results!
My hair looks and feels amazing! This is the first time using two applicators of color (roots and ends). My hair is no longer dry and fly-away! I have been using these products for 5 months and my hair just keeps looking better and better. And the color is rich and vibrant with ZERO gray. I have such faith in these products that at the age of 65, I have decided to grow my hair past my shoulders. Stay tuned....I will post results monthly! This is the first time I've colored my own hair in over 20 years. The color we chose was perfect and the end result looks very natural! Now onto highlighting and touch ups!
This in the first time I have ever colored my own hair. Due to salons being closed I have missed two of my appointments. The roots were about 3/4” grey. I reviewed the videos, did the sample test as instructed, liked the outcome and then took a leap and colored my roots today. I am pleased with the outcome! There were a few areas I missed and I was able to touch up after I had washed and dried my hair. I am a satisfied customer!
This is the first time I’ve ever coloured my own hair, and I couldn’t be happier. The instructions are extremely clear and the tools included in the kit are great. The colour is beautiful — as nice as salon colour, if not better. My hair is also much softer now.
Overall, great service from the eSalon team. Just a note that the delivery times are likely longer now because of COVID so you may wish to plan ahead (plus my kit was shipped to Canada).

I was hesitant...always had my hair done in a salon. I was a hairdresser for 18 years and remember all the color corrections I had to do from boxed color. I took a chance with eSalon. Matched my color, sent a picture of my hair and received the color. After giving my husband a crash course in color application I could not be happier. The color is perfect!!!
I am a first time user and ordered color to cover gray roots in my medium brown color hair that has highlights. The color was a great match and the instructions very easy to use. Because gray can be stubborn to cover, I left the color on about 8 minutes longer than the recommended 30 minutes. I love the results and will definitely continue to order color. My colorist did a great job fulfilling my request.
I am so happy with the quality of the color and the personal attention to detail. The color came out beautifully. You will like your color and clear instructions, particularly if you are new to coloring your hair yourself. If you have grey hair, this will cover it. And the shampoo and crème rinse they send makes your hair soft and shiny.
This was my first time using eSalon haircolor. I like that the solution is very thick, so less messy to use than other home coloring products. The only issue I had was that the application instructions were a bit unclear, but I've colored my hair before so knew what to do. I was absolutely thrilled with the color! It's every bit as nice as what I get in a salon: shiny, natural-looking, and it covered all my stubborn gray. I couldn't be happier with the results!

I had a lot of grey grow out ! This did the trick.. color was perfect and easy to use. Kept my highlights and gave me a warm over all color and covered the grey. I have super fine hair and it now has body and soft texture.
They’ve made everything essentially dummy proof. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and you have everything you need in the box. I have very curly hair and using this permanent color didn’t damage my curls one bit. I’d definitely recommend this to any of my friends
It was super easy to apply. I followed instructions, roots first and hair after. My hair is very soft, color exactly like I wanted, medium blonde with ashy tones. Never buying color in a box again.
I haven't done a home colour for years, but now with all salons closed, I needed to do something to get rid of my ever growing white roots! I usually have a salon colour every 5-6 weeks. I have 100% grey roots with dark brown hair with caramel highlights. The colour was a bit slow in arriving due to the increased demand with lockdown but it is presented in a nice box with everything you need.
I was covering 8 weeks of growth and have very thick hair. They're was plenty of coloir/developer mix. The colour was a great match to my existing colour and gave a perfect grey coverage. I was very dubious as I've had some colours fail to cover my grey hair in the past.
I'm confident to continue with my home colouring while salons are closed following this experience
I recently asked to change my color slightly and was extremely impressed by the results. The directions were perfect and easy to follow. Because of this, I may try the highlights next! Good follow through by my colorist. I just gave the website to four friends!

For the first time ever, I took the plunge to color my roots. The process was super easy and being able to upload photos of my hair helped ease my worries. The directions are very simple, very clear and the whole experience was better than I expected. Until I am ready to fully embrace my grey roots, I will be using Madison Reed's hair color.
I tried eSalon for the first time during the COVID-19 quarantine. I typically go to the salon every 3 weeks for root touch-ups as I am VERY gray. I went through the color analysis online and selected what I thought was “my color”. Thank goodness I uploaded pictures as upon review, my eColorist suggested a lighter shade for me, which has turned out to PERFECT! I couldn’t be happier with this process or the color team here at eSalon. Not to mention the savings - - even after having to tip my daughter who assisted me :)
I will say that while the color was on my head processing, it looked VERY dark (almost black)...and I was a bit nervous. But it really turned out great and matches my existing color perfectly. Thank you eSalon!
My very first experience with e salon has been even better than I expected! Everything, beginning with the profile questions, the ordering, the instructions and application, all the way to the finished look, was excellent! My colorist, Stefanie, was absolutely “spot on” with the color I was trying to achieve—and coverage of grey has been wonderful as well!

Easy to follow instructions and very easy application. I had to rely on my husband to put it in so I am thankful it was easy! The color was darker than I expected but that was ok. It was my first time going dark so after a day with the color I did appreciate that it was not too bright. It is a very natural color
I started going gray young so I've been dying my own hair with box dye for years, but as my hair has gone increasingly gray, the boxed dye just wasn't covering it anymore. I was beyond frustrated, and about to start spending ridiculous amounts of money at the salon to keep it covered until I found this site. I was a little hesitant to give it a try, but I'm so glad that I did.
The process was simple, the instructions are easy to follow, and the result is amazing! It completely covered my grays, turned out bright and shiny, and my hair actually felt healthier after the treatment.
