I loved the package and everything that was sent to me. The color was very dark but I like it. I was scared to try and change my hair color but it wasn't too hard.
Well I’m really impressed w myself for even doing it myself! Having a disability I was really nervous but that is a tribute to esalon w how easy their DIY coloring is!!! But up til 2 yrs ago the color of my hair was extremely light it was beautiful! Hairdressers retire! But I must say even though I can’t have it like that I’ve had many compliments on it!!
My hair looks and feels amazing just as if I went to the salon to color my hair. I was very nervous to color my hair myself but you made it easy and fun with the instructions and videos. I am looking forward to coloring my hair again at home. I am so pleased!! Thank you for making me look like myself again while staying at home and staying healthy.
After years of coloring myself with box colors and then going to salons and paying excessively for my short hair to be colored, I have found a better process. I didn't think I would thank the Corona Virus for anything, but I must say I would have never discovered eSalon hair color without experiencing excessive gray outgrowth and no being able to go to the salon.
My daughter applied it for me and we were both so impressed with how easy the process was and everything was included in the package for us to be successful. I have recommended eSalon to my family and friends and my sister just did her hair this morning and was happy with the process and outcome as well!
I usually walk out of the salon with dye shadows around my hairline and eyebrows and I can honestly say the products that were sent in the package work magic! Plus, the hair color did not smell or leave a burning sensation on my scalp.
I will be a customer for life as long as things continue to satisfy me. I have been complimented that the color looks natural and not like it came from a store bought box. Nothing better than having my husband of 35 years actually say that my hair color looked good. He is not one to comment usually.
I love, love, love the custom coloring system. For years I have paid high prices to color my hard to color gray! Several co called colorists have turned my roots re, green and yellow! My husband applied this custom color and it was fabulous! He is NOT a stylist!😂 I have recommended to family and my sis is ordering her custom!
Color was great and easy to apply. My grey is gone and I feel younger! Some of my highlights go darker, but that was to be expected. Maybe next time I could add some if it's not too hard. Let me know if and how this can be done.
I wanted to touch up my roots and grays and this product was so easy to use. The package came in a few days. Everything was in the package so I didn't need to buy anything else. Instructions were easy to follow and I am happy with the color. I highly recommend this!
Very happy I was able to get the look I wanted without going to the salon!

I used a light brown color on my roots to cover a few greys and lighten them just a touch. I had some grown out balayage highlights so I just colored my roots and then lathered the rest through the ends in the shower and left it on the ends only for a few minutes. The color was really pretty and made my hair feel healthier, soft and shiny. Then I used the light set to touch up my highlights. Costumer service was really helpful in talking me through what to expect with the light set and how to apply it. I also watched the video on the website. I still need practice with the technique, the highlights are a little splotchy in some areas but it's barely noticeable. I loved that I was able to place the highlights right where I like them. My husband said I look like I just got my hair done at the salon! I am really happy with the results and even happier that I can do this myself for so much less than what I was paying at the salon!
I got my second order of custom color and added the mahogany and copper highlights this time. I was so pleased because the colorist adjusted my color a bit lighter for spring exactly as I wanted and they were really good about communicating the change in application instructions, i.e. root application only. The color turned out exactly what I was hoping for.
Three days later, I applied the highlights. First I watched the how-to video, which was super helpful. I did the full head highlights and the colors worked beautifully with my hair color. The overall effect was just like getting high and low lights at the salon for $300, but I did it myself in my own bathroom. Amazing! Even though we're still under stay-at-home orders, I have had people comment on my hair when I'm out walking my dog. It really looks that good; someone asked me how I found an open salon. The results were so professional, I can't believe I did this myself.
This is now my second order and I have been really satisfied with the gray coverage. I'm 54 and about 75% gray. Normally I get "atomic" roots, where my gray roots really suck up the red in my hair color. I'm pleased to report no nuclear hair activity, it was perfect straight out of the shower. The color lasts and looks good even six weeks later. It has a lot of depth, especially with the highlights. It's the most natural-looking bottle auburn I've ever tried. I don't think I will ever return to the salon after things open up again. I prefer this color to the color my stylist uses and it's so easy to apply and convenient. I can't say enough good things about e-salon products.
Let me just say in all 40 years on earth, I have never, ever, colored my hair, by myself at home. I’ve always gone to the salon. A salon regular for sure. But, this covid had me stuck. Which is fine. But, I needed to perk myself up while at home. Those grays were getting the best of me. I’d say, I’m pretty awesome with a round brush and my Babyliss every morning. Blows always look salon done. I do my very best to make my hairdresser proud! I figure, if you spend the money, you should keep the look going. Be the business card for your stylist. I think she’s going to be shocked to see. She’s def going to know. I did just my roots. I do have highlights in a lighter shade on top of brown hair. First, the packaging was fantastic, no over the top instruction, it was not-at-all messy, it covered great, the color match was on point. I do recommend uploading a pic. It was super easy with fantastic results. Would do again in a hot second. Told all my friends about. I loved the minimal packaging, your name labeled on the products, nice touch. But, if I had to say one negative. It would be provide all the stuff you may need. I noticed at the end of my purchase, some of the things I may have needed, like a bowl and extra clips. Since being my first purchase I’d thought I would have gotten that. But, it’s ok. All worked out. I think it’s more layout of the site. I would have purchased more, but, didn’t see till I was done. But, color wise. Fantastic! Do, it! Don’t think twice!!! Hair was soft, full of shine and I didn’t even stain my white towels after I got out of the shower. Two thumbs up! Great stuff eSalon!!!
Extremely pleased with the product. My hair looks thicker, lustrous and a very healthy long lasting colour. Covers all grey. Instructions were very easy to follow and the customer support were fantastic! Quick delivery too. Will be ordering again.

I am so grateful that eSalon acknowledged the shipping delays in several emails. Amidst the current pandemic, I expected the delays but it was still so lovely that they communicated and even gave a credit. They really went above and beyond. And I loved my color. Wish I knew there were clips I could have probably purchased, but I made it work even without them. I might use eSalon most of the time now - especially, in the world we are currently living in. I do love the experience of an actual salon, but I live with greys for a long time because I just can't afford to upkeep regularly. Now - I think I can :).
I opted for the dark brown without any red tones and the color was bang on. My hair is a rich brown with no red tones and I absolutely love the results. Will continue to purchase and may even try a highlight if I get brave enough however with the ease of this kit and the wonderful personalized instructions, I feel the highlighting kit would turn out nothing other than fantastic. For a do it yourself product this delivered a salon result. This was a corona virus quarantine saver. I am an essential worker and have to work and look professional. I looked like I had been to the salon! Directions were easy to follow, nice result.
This was my first time ever colouring my hair and it was so easy thanks to esalon’s personalized instructions. Love the colour! The only thing I would say is to use a really deep conditioner after or even a leave in conditioner. Great experience and will definitely do again!
I am impressed. I've been very skeptical of coloring my own hair at home but this service is changing my mind. I will keep the plan to see how it performs with multiple at-home self applications over time.
My grays were really showing, and I really needed some hair color. My sister recommended esalon.com, and it's been awesome. I went out walking the next day with my dogs after coloring my hair and 3 women who see me everyday noticed I got my hair done. They wanted to know what salon I went to. I happily told them I did myself and it was extremely easy. I can say without a doubt my hair stylist is going to be sad because she probably lost a client. The price is perfect for me and the color lasts 5 weeks. I love this product❤
I was so skeptical. I have only had my hair colored at a salon before. My color came out great with a lot of depth and my hair is so soft!! I will have to see how it does in the sun and how long it lasts, but so far so good.

I cannot afford salon prices, and if I could I could not justify them after finding this company. They are everything they say they are and they stand by their word. I am sold!

I've been obsessed with my hair since a teen, hoping not to go bald like my dad, brother, I've been lucky. I used to do my color by myself, I looked like mono-color Eddie Munster, then discovered highlights. I've been going to salons for decades. Then COVID and the search for at-home color. The E-Salon base color is fantastic. A rich deep color that works perfectly with my highlights (painted on by my wife), I'm ordering a second set and may never head back to the salon. The customer service is fantastic, the colorists are knowledgable and take the time to explain it all... I love this company...

This was my first esalon purchase so I was a bit worried about getting the right color for my roots. I can't say enough how absolutely perfect the color I received was!! I ordered medium brown with a hint of red and I have copper highlights. The color I got to color my roots was seamless with my existing color. I mean perfect! I did send a picture with my order so maybe that helped. All I know is I was so very happy with it. The kit is complete with everything I needed. My daughter applied it for me but honestly I could do it myself, it might just take a bit more effort. It's been a month now and the color has not faded or washed off at all. The custom color set was amazing! Easy follow directions, and the color was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely be using this color system from now on, so much cheaper then going to a salon and the results are just as good.
I had never colored my own hair before and was skeptical about how it would turn out. Surprisingly, it was an easy process and the results are fantastic! The color was spot on and I will definitely be ordering again between visits to my salon for haircuts. Perhaps it's just me (new to home coloring!)...but seems like this definitely requires a "helper" to effectively apply all-over color and rinse sufficiently. Directions are clear and specific but would be helpful to give tips for successfully coloring your own hair!

I love my color this time more than ever before. It seems like there were golden highlights added! I added a bottle of the Classic Conditioner to my order along with the cape (to keep the DIY process less messy!} and couldn't be happier. It was great coverage, I would however like less red undertone. I naturally have some red/orange in my hair and it gravitates towards that often otherwise It was easy to apply and hassle free ordering and delivery right to my door. I am looking forward to my next color set. Thank you.

The online colorist got this exactly right - super happy with the results. The first order was good and pretty much on target for the color I was trying to match. For the second order I asked for a slight adjustment to try brightening up the color a little, and it turned out great. Color was totally on point and the responsiveness to my feedback was great.
Being a blonde, I was very weary about coloring my hair at home instead of the salon. In the past, every time I tried a box color, my hair turned out brassy/orange which was horrifying and costly to fix. Esalon made a perfect and natural looking color for me and I am so excited to share this with my friends. While enduring the Stay in Place order in MN, it made my day better to have some self care today that worked and turned out lovely. I highly recommend Esalon and will continue to use this color system for maintenance even when my salon opens!!
I regularly have my roots done by a hairdresser every 6-7 weeks, an expensive business but worth it. The current lockdown meant i developed a noticeable inch of grey/white at my roots. So turned to e-salon as an inbetween measure. But i am so impressed that i think i will not be going back to the hairdresser. The colour match is spot on, definitely as good as the hairdresser. I worried that I would have a band of different colour but no. My hair also feels in great condition. Of course this was my first go. It was not that difficult to do either so even the ease of going to the hairdresser will not really justify 4-5 times the price!
