I have no problem with the quality of the product. It last longer than any other product I have used. The only thing is I do not like automatic shipping I want to order each time at the time I need it. I requested to be removed form autoship

I've been using only natural hair and body products for 4 years now so I forgot how intense the fumes of hair color products can be. The color turned out very nicely and I loved all the extras like two pairs of gloves and the stain preventer gel. However I have to go back to my more natural coloring products because I feel they are more healthy for my skin and lungs.
Overall I was satisfied with the product. Color was a little darker than I would have liked but everything else was great. My hair didn't feel all rough and dry after the process and was super shiny and soft
This is my second time doing my own color it's not as easy as one would think arms get tired but I was more confident this time.Its really hard to do roots in 10 to 15 min I was worried it would be on to long.If your not sure about anything at all the support team is just a phone call away.Go for it if I can do it anyone can.My color looks great thanks eSaon.
I usually color my hair myself or I go to the salon. Because I like to have multi-tonal highlights in my hair I saw this ad and figured I would try it out. It's a Wonderful product for people who like to color their hair without having any highlights in it although when the color does wash out just a little you do have some lightness on certain parts of your hair. I first used the Demi color and I must say I like the color itself was very pretty. Although it did not stay in my hair very long the color was still nice even after it washed out a bit. I did call the company to try to do a permanent color. But again I would run into the same issues with having the highlights and or removing color to put highlights in. Sell for me my personal opinion is it is a great product for anyone who wants to do at home hair color I would suggest the permanent it definitely last a lot longer then the Demi color. Unfortunately for me I like to have different color tones with in my hair sometimes very bold sometimes very subtle so this is not a product that I personally can use. As I said it is a great product though do not be discouraged and give it a try
First off I love this company! I love the prices, fast service, the whole concept, the quality of the products, the personalization, ALL OF IT! :) The only thing I was disappointed by was that my formula seems to be lacking in blue tint completely. It's just solid black. I've got videos of other customers who use esalon & order the blue black. That's the color I want/need :) so once we get worked out everything will be perfect! I plan on sticking with Esalon!
usually with any hair colour ive had in the past the first maybe 3 washes I always have some of the colour bleed out but from the 1st wash no bleed just lovely long lasting colour. Also more than enough of the dye in the bottle for medium length hair.
I panicked after my hair stylist was ill so I went 2-3" of grays & roots before I could find someone reliable to do my hair touch up. I asked here & there & finally I found e-salon. The hardest part was the questionnaire, once I received the package all was easy and I was satisfied with the results.
Loved the hair color and the ensuing result. Directions were easy to follow. Just one complaint, never received the applicator brush....hope you send it in the next one. Otherwise, it was a great experience, thanks!
I use to use box dye from the hair store. It never worked on my gray. I recently went natural. When I permed my hair, i didn't have a problem with the gray. I would let the dye sit in my hair for twice, or three times as long as the box said to try to cover the gray. But when I washed it out, it would wash right off the gray. But esalon is awesome!!! They got it right the first time!! My hair was all one color, including the gray. I love it and I get so many comments and questions about how I covered the gray. My hair is so soft. I'll never go back to my old ways. Thanks to esalon and my colorist!!!
I had been paying $70.00 for a cut and color. The color was never as good as my custom Color! It is more affordable, easy to use, and leaves my hair feeling soft and undamaged. Love it.
I tried this product after seeing several ads....I decided that it was not expensive and worth a try because other products did not cover my gray hair. The color was pretty good on my first try but when I received an email asking if I wanted to make any changes, I decided to actually tell them. Holy Moly! I got a real answer from a real person who seemed like they actually wanted to make me happy! So we tweaked it, and afterwards, they emailed me again asking for any changes! So we tweaked it one more time....and now it's PERFECT!!! I'll never use another hair color product again. I have it sent to me every 4 weeks and it arrives like clock-work! I'm a very, very happy customer!
Very easy instructions, apart from the last bit, when on shampooing my hair after removal of the excess dye, it went extremely soapy and I couldn't rinse it all out. Is this right?
I have been getting hair dye from the store and have had it done at the salon for such expensive prices. It always seemed the stylists were telling me my natural color was so dark - much darker than my natural color. Finally through this product, and showing pictures of my hair and my hairline I have a color that looks natural.
I am a chronic migraine sufferer. I have had them all my life. My migraines have advanced over the years to the point that I cannot enter a salon, the smells trigger them. The store bought ptoduct had started making my hair burn. I was stopped coloring my hair 2 years ago I was 95% gray at 35 years of age I am now 47. I was told about your product just before I got married on July 8, 2016... I tried it NO migraine.... And my hair didn't fall out.. THANK YOU!!! I DON'T HAVE TO FEEL OLD ANYMORE!!!!

I got tired of wasting hours at a beauty shop. My hair has started to thin and I was worried that my operator was jerking and using a super hot iron so I chose to do it at home with e salon and it lasted as long as the beauty shop and was prettier and left my hair feeling better than a box color.
As it ages it becomes golden - brassy. Can we use less gold and a little more brown? I don't want it too dark, but less gold. I really appreciate your products.
I used esalon for several years, but stopped using it about two years ago, for lazyness. At the hair salon, hairdressers never wanted to put my natural color and always insisted on putting highlights on my hair. Lately I was paying almost $200.00 to have my hair frizzy 30 minutes after leaving the salon, my hair would be brassy after the first wash. I decided to come back to esalon and get back my dark color ! Mindy advised me by email and by phone in order to get what I wanted. My hair never looked like this in the last two years during a summer in DC, and all this for 10 % of the price in the comfort of my home.
I liked the fact that I didn't have to go out to get a decent hair color done on my hair.
I liked that it was so easy that my husband helped me and didn't get it all over our bathroom.
I liked the color when it was finished, so much so that the consultant at Clinique complemented me on the soft auburn shade when the light shined on my face.
I didn't like and wasn't happy that it didn't cover the gray as much as I wanted it to.
The first kit i got was great . The second kit was a little darker which i want to change to make it a little lighter.
And i love having it delivered ti the house.
Love that my hair color is delivered right to my door. Great color however I've noticed that it doesn't cover all my grey. Overall I love the convenience of the product and will continue to use it.
Initially, I was very nervous to try this customized color thinking that the picture looked too red. I decided to wait until I was on vacation to use it in case it was a disaster. I couldn't be more wrong. The color was shiny, beautiful and true- it didn't look like drug store color and was a better hue than even my hairdresser came up with. Plus, with drug store color, at least for me, I had to wait a week or so for the color to fade somewhat so that I was truly happy with the shade. Not with e-salon! Color was perfect immediately! The application process was easy, the formula gentle (no mild stinging as I've experienced before). Hands down 100% satisfied. I will use nothing else from now on.
I like the color blend, but I still have stubborn grays that will not cover up. I don't like the smell, it's very strong. Needs a lot of ventilation, which I do not have. The timing is excellent, short and sweet. I love the shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling soft any silky. I would recommend this to my friends but I would warn them of the ammonia smell.
I love the color and the vibrant look it gives me!

I've had many women compliment me on my color of my hair. It's not that often that I get it but I always brag and tell them that I color my hair with products from eSalon.
I have always colored my own hair, but I started finding in my 50's & 60's the grey hair would not take color. It would only last for a few weeks, and the color would always be darker for the first week or so (2 to 3 washings) then i would get the color I wanted, and it would be time to start all over again. THEN COMES E SALON, they specially formulize my hair color just for me. And it covers the grey, is the color its suppose to be when I color it and it stays the right color until it is time to color growth again. AMAZING!! I highly recommend E SALON

I was using a box color for my red-
and the manufacturer kept changing my color!! Which means you can't get it any more- unless you go on Amazon and be expected to pay way to much! So glad I found esalon!! My color will never change!! Unless, I change it !!!!!
Having picked the colour I wanted with th gold tones ..I cannot fault the colourant in any way. I get the same affects each time no deviation. Because my hair is very slow growing I'm lucky my roots don't show for quite awhile but my main colour doesn't fade In between. I'm really pleased that I followed a friends advice n chose e-salon.
Love my color thought i could wait longer between treatments but I was wrong and had to shortening my order to two months instead of three and my color matches my new granddaughter's hair color I get lots of comments that she looks just like me.
I was a little nervous at first, only have had one person color my hair ever, it took me a while before I decided to do it. It turned out great and was very pleased with the color. My only problem is that I only color my hair twice a year, and you don't have a auto order for that but I will be back to order manually, if I can get a price.
People I work says they love my color ask me if it's my natural color an I tell them it's the same as my natural color an I tell them women where I got it
I love my custom hair color. People are surprised to find out that I color my hair. My stylist is amazed how shiny my hair is even after 6 weeks. Store bought box colors and beauty store colors always faded out and looked awful by the end of the month. Not my custom color. I've even skipped a month and my color was still shiny after two months. Of course my grey hair was back but that's a loosing battle. I highly recommend eSalon and tell all my friends they should try it.
Update 06-18-16 Just tweaked my color a bit for something different and eSalon mixed it perfect! I was a little worried just because it still looked like it had a lot of red, something I wanted less of. The final result was exactly what I wanted. I didn't think eSalon could impress me any more but they did it. Love eSalon going on 5 years now.
I train jujitsu and work out almost daily. So I need to wash my hair a lot and the color does not stay in under those circumstances. Any helpful advice? I do like your product my hair is always complimented on the color.
I hate to sound like a broken record but I love my hair color; just love it!!!. It was abit hard to follow the directions but you will end up with the kind of hair coloring that looks natural. Never before when home-dyeing my hair, have I been able to see actual highlights in my hair color. I mean It is NOT all one color and it looks so glossy and bright. Whatever light you are in you can see the range of colors that make your new hair color look natural but oh so much better. I had been used "Madison Reed" hair coloring which sent me one hair color bottle and it made my hair look so fake with all the red highlights that I had not wanted to come out. In fact I have a whole kit from them that I will sell at my yard sale cuz I am hooked on eSalon....Thank you Courtney for being my own haircolorist because you got it right, girlfriend!!!!!! Women of the world don't hesitate to try this. You will fall in love with your hair all over again.
I loved the fact that there is enough to cover my hair....I have long hair. Hours later, I did have a little reaction on a half dollar size of my scalp. I have used other Products for years and just recently had a reaction to the hair color. I believe there is something in the black dye that I am now having reactions to. I am thinking about trying the dark brown color.
Edges of hair goes back to natural gray color a lot faster now that I am swimming approximately 3 to 5 days a week in a indoor pool. Is it possible to get color half in one bottle and half in another sinse it's mainly the edges that I need to redo? (More often) by the way how does this hair color and chlorine treat the hair? I was struggling to dye my hair with the color that you can buy in the regular store.
But with this one I get the professional result you would get in a hair salon at less than half price.

Love the color. I dyed my hair then went to get it cut. My stylist loved the color. She couldn't get over how well it matched my skin tone. Even my husband like it he hates when I dye my hair . He said sometimes I got it too dark. Not anymore I will be ordering esalon forever.
I do like the product. To me it is no different than store bought. However having is scheduled to come automatically allows me to stay on top of my grey hair without the fear of not finding the correct color when needed. Downfall, there is no changing your hair color. The colorist will say no every time, no matter what. So now I have canceled my orders and will go back to the salon. Thank you e salon, the ride was nice while it lasted.
NO ONE KNOWS IT IS NOT MY REAL COLOR. IT DOES NOT LOOK FAKE OR TERRIBLE LOOKING AT ALL. IT JUST IS SO BRIGHT AND IT FEELS GREAT NOT LIKE OTHER HAIR COLOR'S I HAVE USED, JUST REAL LOOKING.
I WAITED TO APPY TO MY HAIR SO MY PREVIOUS HAIR COLOR WORE OFF AND MORE GREY BECAME PRESENT. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE KIT AND INSTRUCTIONS. THE COLOR WAS GREAT AND AT THAT TIME ALL MY GREY HAD BEEN COVERED. THE PREVIOUS HAIR COLOR WOULD LEAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF GREYS SHOWING AROUND THE FACE HAIR LINE. THIS ONE NOTHING WAS LEFT UNCOLORED. NOW I AM ALMOST THREE WEEKS SINCE COLORING AND FROM MY EARS AROUND FACE HAIR LINE THE GREYS ARE SHOWING. SO FOR THE MOST PART I AM HAPPY WITH THIS HAIR COLOR. APPRECIATE ALL THAT CAME WITH THE SET.
I finally have my red hair back!
In the last two years my vibrant red hair faded and became a reddish blonde with silver streaks. I didn't mind it much until I started to notice that the blonde was becoming more silver. That's not a good discovery when you're just starting to come to terms with the fact that your next birthday is going to be the big 4-0.
After seeing a review about eSalon on Youtube I decided to give it a shot and I am so glad that I did. The Match-Up process was easy and my order arrived sooner than expected. With the detailed instructions it was easy to apply and the color is exactly what I wanted. I look like me again and I couldn't be happier!
My only critique would be that the color tends to run a bit when being applied so make sure that you apply the Stain Guard liberally to the entire perimeter of your hairline and to your ears as well. This advice may fall under the category of "Duh!" but trust me, if you miss a spot it will end up stained and if you're extremely fair like me you'll regret it. The Stain Remover works great, but it didn't remove all of the dye.
I've been using eSalon for two years now and I love the ability to make subtle adjustments to my originally chosen color. It took some time, but gradually, with several small changes, we've arrived at a shade and tone I want to stick with. Trying to explain this at a salon never seemed to work well for me. As a redhead, I always ended up with different shades of (way too bright) red and orange which were often disastrous! The colorists at eSalon helped me find just the right shade of brownish/tawny/red that suits me perfectly and blends well with my roots allowing me to color less often. I get constant compliments on my hair now. No more Bozo the clown! And most importantly, each time I color, I get consistent results. eSalon is my salon for life.
Have been using this color for awhile now. It is pricey compared to over the counter and I sometimes stretch my coloring with a root touch up product in between to save on cost. Initially the color is a little too dark but after about 2 weeks of shampoos it is closer to where I want it. Still a hint of red tones which I don't like. Gives great shine and does have the tones and highlights I like.
I've used drug store dye as well as had my hair done professionally. I began to use eSalon as a way to save on my $200 cut and color.
I am fairly impressed with eSalon! It is way better than a drug store kit - the colors don't turn out brassy or heavy, which a lot of cheap dyes do.
It was much harder to dye my hair when it was long, once I cut it short the color was more even. However the color issues might be due to poor hair health as well as my inexperience in dealing with long hair.
Overall, I would recommend eSalon as an excellent diy coloring kit!

I am loving the way the color covers my grey--and the way it's looking as it fades / washes out! My grey is showing up more as golden toned hi lights two weeks after coloring with the demi-permanent formula. I experienced some burning feelings the last 10 minutes of processing time which resolved after it was fully rinsed, but was uncomfortable enough to only give the entire experience four stars.
I've used many different coloring products and nothing comes close to this one. With the store bought brands, my color would fade after two weeks with gray roots showing. I just though my hair was growing and breaking off. It wasn't With this color, for me, it lasts approximately three weeks before I see a little gray around my temples. It's a great product. It also makes my hair nice and shiny and it looks healthy.
This is not a color I could get off of the store shelf. I love how this red color is not too bright, and looks very natural. For the price I will continue to use it. It is a lot more affordable than going to the salon.
I made the appointment in person, before I colored my hair. Plenty of inches of non-colored hair showing. They saw and commented. I said I was going to color with e-salon, just booked in for a style cut. The next day, they couldn't believe it. Said they couldn't see where the coloring had been done, just as good as they could have done, and wanted to know which brand it was. Yes!!
I couldn't apply this on my own, as a bit tricky. The colour was lovely, but my grey is very resistant, so it started to come through after a couple of weeks. The esalon team were more than happy to help by making my next one a little stronger, so I'll wait and see. Great customer service, and beats spending a lot of money in a salon!
Usually I have the issue at hairdressers that my scalp is burning after a few minutes of application. Then it doesn´t stop til it is washed out. So I didn´t make this experience with my "personal colour" Yes!

My goal every time I have ever colored my hair was get as close to what my natural color was when I was in my early twenties. Usually my hair turns out unnaturally red. Everyone knew I colored my hair. With this product I finally got my natural hair color back.

I've been using your product for a long time now, and I don't think I've changed it much since starting, but I get the best compliments on my hair. I have friends that still spend hundreds of dollars on their hair, and products and then when you see them, they are NOT satisfied with the color...something is always a miss. BUT not mine...I love it. I may be boring to some, because I'm not doing highlights, low lights and this and that, but I love it being the way it is...consistent. Thanks for being there for the monthly reminders that it's time for me to do my hair again. My crazy, busy, schedule, doesn't really allow for me to stop and smell the roses right now, so thank you for making me do that, and getting something done for ME.
I was skeptical as I've never found an at home box colour that has actually coloured my hair properly. Plus there is enough dye to cover my really thick hair.
I love the product. The color was a great choice. It's now 2 weeks into the color and it looks just a bit lighter. The color covered my gray completely. I may just go one shade darker because of the oxidation.
