I oedered a shade lighter and it seems a good colour.

I have just used the new colour as I wanted to time it so I could have my hair cut in a weeks time before going on holiday. It elooks very good so far so will probably want a repeat of the same colour .I will be interested to see the colour after say four weeks. Coloured hair on 29th April.
I've been using esalon haircolor for several years. If I want to adjust the color a bit, I just go online to esalon and tell them what I'm thinking. I get a response, verifying what I said and the color comes to me just like I asked. Oh, another thing is that the color doesn't have the strong smell that other color products have. It also doesn't drip. I can't say enough about how nice it is to get my perfect color sent right to me so that it's ready when I am.

I have been using eSalon hair color for well over a year now and not only is it easy to use and so affordable, when I go to my hair stylist to get my hair cut, she has complimented on how healthy my hair is. So this proves that the eSalon color isn't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill box hair color that usually dries your hair out terribly and just leaves your hair an overall mess, especially if you do it often. I have saved so much money using this color - which I mainly use to cover grays and to lighten my hair slightly, that I can afford now to go over four months or so and get a GOOD haircut and not have to go to the cheaper places that don't always do a good job. I would HIGHLY recommend trying eSalon color out - you will not be disappointed in the value and the outcome on your hair in the long run.
Great color match and grey coverage. My hair felt great after coloring, too. I do feel like the quantity was lacking. Given the info I provided on the length and thickness of my hair, more product should have been included.
this product is very easy to use and colors well I still have a little problem around my temples but other wise fabulous stuff . I'm grateful all the extra stuff comes with it ..gloves color, remover, ect.
I really like the packaging and the instructions were easy to follow. An added bonus are the 2 pairs of thick gloves they give you. The color overall was great. I will have them make it brighter for next time but they did a good job of listening to my needs. The only downside is the length of time it takes to color it!
I have been an eSalon customer for over 2 years. I love it so much that I have introduced many friends to eSalon. As I approached my late 30s the gray hairs started to come in faster. I didn't want a head full of gray hair (there is nothing wrong with gray hair) and I didn't have the time to spend going to the hair salon every 6 weeks. I will admit I was scared to color my own hair. What if I messed up? What if my hair turned a weird color or worse what if it fell out. (Crazy thoughts, I know) eSalon could not make the process any easier. From the packaging to the custom instructions the process was easy and the results fantastic. eSalon not only saves me time but also a lot of money.
So far color may work for me, give me time to adjust and I do have a supply of what I was using and must use up, unable to return, do send me the color in June and I will let you know when I will get it on a regular basis. Thank you
I used to hate going to the store to buy my hair coloring product. I couldn't find the right color and had a hard time choosing the best color for me. Esalon is the next best thing to getting it professionally done.
I have been using the custom colour for some time now and since leaving the hairdressers and using this I have not looked back. I did have a problem with my bank card going out of date and as I forgot to update the details my colour did not get sent out. I made a huge mistake by buying a box colour from the local supermarket (as I felt I couldn't wait) omg its only when I used it I realised the difference in the quality, shine, how well my grey is covered and how long esalon custom hair colour lasts before I have to do my roots. I am truly hooked on this product and cannot recommend it enough. x

I've tried this haircolor twice now. The first time I was sent medium brown. The process was easy and stress-free. The color was beautiful but much, much too light. My medium brown was more like dark blonde. So I requested a darker color the second time. Received it. Same easy process. The color turned out exactly as I'd hoped. It is really amazing how natural it looks. My hopes were high until after about the third shampoo when I realized that just like all the other hair colors I've tried, the color was washing out. Everytime I cleanse my hair I step out of the shower looking just a wee bit blonder. So disappointing. I was hoping this haircolor would last a little longer. So I contacted eSalon and asked them if there's any way they could make the color last longer without making my hair darker or without using more chemicals. They responded positively, and my third application will be sent to me shortly. I will let you all know how it works. Keeping my fingers crossed!
I was actually sitting in the stylist's chair getting a cut when another women said my hair color was "perfect" for my coloring, clothes and time of year. Does it get better than that? P.S. I'm not sure my stylist was as pleased as I. Thank you, eSalon
This was easier than I expected and I was pleased with the very detailed instructions. They helped me do a decent job. Now that I am a little more comfortable, I may try a lighter colour. The $24 per treatment price seems a little high considering the cost of dye at Sally Beauty
This product is excellent if you are wanting to cover gray hair! It's a bit more expensive than the drug store brands but it does a superior job and lasts a lot longer!
My hair looks natural after coloring, and it is so soft. Usually when I use a boxed color, my hair will feel a little bit like straw. Not so with this hair color!! It covered all of my gray, and the color really lasts!
I, at first was truly sceptical. I ordered, deleted, reorderd...finally i commited. Wow, i am So impressed! Not only did they produce a hard color to mix, im naturally strawberry-blonde, my hair is soft and shiny! Im NEVER buying off the shelf again!

Coloring for red hair can be scary, believe me, I know. The Team has matched my original red hair to what it used to be when I was younger, so much so that people are surprised when they find out I color my hair, even my neighbor who sees me all the time!
I won't buy Haircolor any other way it was awesome!! I love the hair colour I love the kit they gave me full of everything I needed it was perfect only thing that I could say wasn't that great was the amount of time it took for delivery but other than than that I was 100% happy
I really like my very custom color. I would like it just a bit more custom however. Just a bit more plum would be great. Having said that I have never found an option that does a better job than esalon at getting this close to the color I want. Unless I go to a salon and that is too expensive and inconvenient. I recommend esalon to everyone
love the hair color from ESalon. The color seems so natural. I've had people come up to me and say that they like the color on me. I had used other brands, some that I tried and my hair dried out, it felt like straw, and it just didn't feel right. Some that I had used, the coverage didn't cover all of the grays, some of the colors didn't seem to appear as natural-looking as I wanted and some of the colors have faded and changed quickly. With the color from ESalon, I haven't had these issues. Yes, everyone's hair and self is different and people may get different outcomes. My results, I have been happy with, ecstatic that I don't dye my hair every month and yet it still looks terrific. I could go longer between dying with their hair color than other brands that I had tried. The coloring in the stores are less money than going to a professional, that's often the biggest reason as to why people color at home, because of the cost. This hair dye from Esalon is not going to cost you only $2 or $3.00 or $5.00 like some of those that you could get in the store, it will cost you more, not a lot more, and it is still going to be less than a hair stylist at a salon.
What you do get from Esalon is not only excellent coverage and a beautiful lasting color, but you get real people who talk to you. People that explain things to you, not only through emails, but also through phone calls. You get personalized service and your questions answered and they ask you questions if needed to find out the information to help you get your best product. I am happy with my hair color and service at Esalon. I also look forward to receiving them when they come, and I could change them up a bit, say if I want to go a little lighter, just drop them a note in the order.
Perhaps, one day, they'll be options for other dye items such as a smaller amount or bottle with a comb on it designed for root touch ups or a spray bottle that you could squirt for highlighting, especially during the summer.
I really like the color n the coverage. I was just wondering if some highlites can be added to my color. Love your site!!! Wish I had gotten on ESalon along time ago!!,instead of wasting my money on store bought color that only lasts a month.
I have used lots of different hair colouring ( I am English so please do not correct my spellings!) products over the years but have never had one that settles so quickly, looks so natural and lasts up until my next cut so well.
I like how it is simple to use and does what it says it will as far as coverage and conditioning. If you rub those areas you have grey I find it lightens or comes right off. I have very few grays and the ones I do have are almost white and hair color doesn't seem to cover them well or for long. I find this with other products I have tried as well.
This is the best color I have ever purchased. I have colored my hair by purchasing products from Beauty Supply stores and the color never matched. I was never able to duplicate the same color twice. Each time the color was different. I also had my hairdresser color my hair. It never came out the same twice. I would have 4-5 different colors at a time. It was horrible. This matched the color I already had and looked wonderful. I have recommended the product to several of my friends.
I decided after months of thinking about it, to finally try this. I put in all of my info and what I was looking for and waited to see. I always have to dye my hair a darker color because color seems to wash out of my hair within 2-3 weeks, so I was skeptical. I received my box and dived right in. The color came out a little brighter than I wanted, but I expected that because like I said color washes out of my hair. Two to three weeks later, it dimmed just enough. It's been 7 weeks and my color is still bright and beautiful.
This is the first time I had a great experience with coloring my hair myself. I have brassy tones which makes it difficult to find a color that won't give me orange highlights. My beautician recommended safe colors that turn out dull and boring. My experience with kits at the drug store were disastrous and looked nothing like the color on the box. Finally, I got up the courage to try eSalon. I explained my situation, included a photo of my current color, described what I wanted - and I got it! Never have I received compliments on my hair color, until now. I'm gradually working toward my natural, darker hair color. The colorist has done a wonderful job adjusting my color each time and instructing me how to apply it for best results. I couldn't be happier with my hair color since I tried eSalon. I tell a colorist what I want, it's delivered to my home, and I can do it at my convenience. And, it turns out better each time. Now I get affordable, professional results at home thanks to eSalon!

I just got done with my 5th order and 3rd color change, tweaking it here and there and then going lighter and roots only for the last one. I was always terrified I would turn my hair green, orange, or some other color I did not want or fry my hair. Each time when I have dried it after coloring it, none of those things have happened and have been happy with the color and the ease of the process. For the summer I am doing roots only so my highlights still show. I let ESalon know and they mixed up the perfect color to cover my roots and gray. I can stay on top of that and then occassionally get highlights which is much more affordable than going and having my hairdresser do both. I am not scared anymore and appreciate ESalon's patience and desire to help me find the right color through the fall and winter and what I needed to do now that I have highlights. It is comforting to know a professional is assisting in the hair color picking process and not jjust left to what looks good on a box at the store and what that box does may not be what I need to get the results I want. Would never have had the nerve to color my own hair without ESalon! :)
I have had my hair colored for decades. Never did it myself since it is quite long and grew up with a mother who did her own hair and had black fingerprints on everything in her bathroom. My greatest fear was becoming my mother ;-). Big bold step, decided to try since am at the point where the grey hairs are coming in more frequently and having moved out of state no longer able to dash in and get my roots done inexpensively (long hair costs so much more even though the roots are at the hairline) at my favorite salon. Spoke with so many people regarding dyeing my hair, heard all the horror stories but decided to try at least once. eSalon guided my step by step and really worked with me getting a good color. Great part is with each order they provide you with a "kit" containing gloves, shampoo and cleaners so you just need to supply a couple of items. I did have my color adjusted recently and am still extremely happy. No longer timid, I can fly thru my roots and only need to go to the salon twice a year for highlights.
Always be skeptical of hair color when ordering online...except from eSalon!
I asked for a specific red color...I know, I know...red doesn't stay in very long, red can look 'magenta-ish', red can wash you out...blah, blah, blah....but what I asked for and what I got....WOW! my color looked as good as when I go to a professional salon...better yet, it wasn't near as $$.
eSalon gives you the option of changing anything about your hair color that you didn't like from last time. Not a problem for me....I asked for a color that a certain celebrity sported and I got exactly that glorious, red color I have so wanted!

I think I will continue with esalon because of the results I get and how it conditions my hair. I have very slow-growing hair, so I only need to redo every 3+ months or so.. till then the color does not seem to fade and actually I like it more after a few washings. I recommend you give it a try!
I was excited to receive the color, and a bit apprehensive as it was being applied. But after 3 weeks, I'm very impressed and happy with the results. The color is natural, intense and long-lasting, my greys are still covered!!!
I have used hair color (blonde) for over 25 years. The process has occurred in the salon, but mostly through at-home application. I have experienced use of high end coloring products only available at the salon, as well as those brands found at the retail level. In my assessment, eSalon offers the best haircolor product available for purchase and use by the general public. The results have surpassed my expectations. I also take into account the effectiveness of the accompanying shampoo and conditioning products, to which I award very high approval. After the color process, both products left my hair manageable-tangle free and soft, without any visible signs of color stripping.
I am completely satisfied with eSalon regarding all aspects of e-purchase, product application, results, consult, and follow up.

This product is great for me hair, I dye my hair at home all the time never go to a hair dresser, the coverage is amazing the only thing I will say it's a bit expensive as I'm used to paying £6.00 for a hair colour in my shop but other than that a good product 😀
The box from eSalon containing my hair dying material arrived very quickly, and that was totally impressive. It was a very cute set up, and I couldn't wait to try it. I had ordered dark blonde with copper gloss, and the application was fairly simple because the instructions were very helpful. The dye was pretty strong, but that's just something you get used to when dying hair, and isn't really a complaint. I was pretty surprised when my hair ended up being more copper than blonde, which is the only downside. I wanted to go blonder, not more red. I'm not planning on dying my hair to fix the color mishap anytime soon though because the color is absolutely stunning. I am totally in love with the color that my hair ended up being. Thanks eSalon! **Edit** After about a week the uber red color faded out and it looks exactly like I expected it to. It's been almost a month now, and the color is still absolutely beautiful. No regrets with this hair dye, it's amazing!
Really like this product, especially the way my hair feels after coloring. The color was a nice rich brown, which is what I requested. My only small issue is that it did not cover all the gray, but overall, did a good job.
I have been highlighting/coloring my hair for 40+ years starting with "Frost & Tip" in high school. As my age and income increased, I had professional highlighting done until my mid 40's when I started to to have a two step process- color first, then highlights. As the time and monetary commitment of professional coloring increased, I turned to drug store brands mixing two or three colors together get the shade I wanted for color and then highlighting my hair myself using a rubber cap and crochet hook. Eventually I had so much gray, I was just using color. When I saw the ads for eSalon, I decided to try it.
I had eSalon tweak the color over a few orders until I had the exact shade I wanted and love the results. Every web order company should use this model. You get an email prior to every order asking if you want the change the color. For those who are not computer literate, the website is easy to navigate and you can easily change the timing of the mailing of your hair products. The color retention is much better than drug store brands and there are no appointments to make or keep. Love the product. Love the company.
I love my esalon hair color. I just used it today,as a matter of fact it's not even dry all the way yet And I love it. So easy to use, and the conversation I had with my colorist was very informative. I've never had my hair colored professionally and have only used drugstore(on sale) color. There was no comparison. The box kind would barely cover my grey roots after leaving it in for more then 45 min. Ecolor took only 30 and with total saturation. The only thing that i would differently next time is order the full bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Because I have pretty long the little packets included were not quite enough. Thank you esalon!
Thank you, I really love the color and the gray coverage could not have been better. I did learn that the formula they sent me could have been made into 3 separate usages....so this ends up being very cost effective. Again, I love my color!!
I love the color. It comes out a warm, golden brown with some red tones. I am still have trouble getting it to cover the gray well. Especially around my face and the crown of my head.
One half sleepy morning i succumbed to a facebook advertisement and followed the instruction to getting my custom color. three days later this package arrived at my door. had completely forgotten about it! once i opened it up and saw the explicit instructions, i knew that maybe I should've paid more attention to the quiz that previous morning.
coloring is simple when you follow the instructions. everything is marked well and organized neatly. i was a little skeptical about the secondary color for my ends but followed the timing.
i have a lot of hair and it is very long. got great coverage with both color sets. easy to apply, time and wash out. follow the tips!
rinsing and shampooing/conditioning was easier than most at home jobs too.
once dry i see that perhaps i should've been a little more specific with my color tones. it's a shade or two too mahogany and while it blends in nicely with my ends, i'm going to wait a day or two for it to settle to see how the roots end up. i think that my dissatisfaction stems from my inability to articulate what it is that i want. i'm hopeful to see if i can get it right next time around.
overall it's a beautiful colouring system and i look forward to continuing my use of it.
Have been using e-salon color for about 1 year now. Good quality color. Price is reasonable, and you don't have to go shopping! Products are delivered right to your door. After several applications I requested a change in my color, which they did ( though I did not notice any change from previous color) but color is still good.
I am basically happen with e-salon. Just wish they had ways to do highlights or other additions to their color shades.
As a lifelong salon client for colouring, personal changes meant I just couldn't afford to use a salon any more but the off the shelf products were so disappointing... colour faded very very quickly and was never true to what I thought it would be. The eSalon system is just fantastic, I love the colour, the product was easy to use AND was long lasting, just as good as a salon product. I'm so impressed with the service and approach of eSalon both online and when you ring the helpline - 5 stars all the way!!
I really like this hair color and I like that it can be changed up (more red, less red, etc.) It does fade a little fast though, but I live in Florida and have not found any hair color that can hold up to the sun here.
I wanted to my hair to be Burgundy but I'm not sure its to that color yet but I do love eSalon the product is easy to use and does so well...better then what the salon was doing for me
I have always used copper coloured hair dyes but found so many to be too bright or too red. eSalon listens to what you want and makes fine tuned adjustments to exactly the shade you want. I will never look anywhere else to buy colourant.
IT matches so much better(!!!) with the natural"washed-out" or "faded shade" my hair became between colorings.
Actually, due to my recent illness; I've fallen almost 4 weeks behind in coloring my hair versus when you sent the latest (new color) to me. This is why I could NOT GIVE a reply about "if I liked the new color" UNTIL I actually USED IT. I'M PROUD TO SAY I finally COMPLETED using the NEWEST COLOR ... EARILER TODAY - AND the NEW color matches much, much better (without) such a drastic change, as previously color. I must ask...does this customized lighter shade have any "ASH TONES" in it? Within my house it seems I see (the smallest) amount of a 'Greenish tint'. BUT, please do not worry, I will check USING Outdoor (natural) light tomorrow, I'm sure it will be fine! I will drop a line if I notice something. Thank you very much! It's a good feeling to know that one can expect the SAME quality results with YOUR PRODUCTS upon each color.
May I plz ask that my next order be delayed an additional two weeks. Due to my recent illness, as I said above, I've fallen way behind w/the current schedule, would be the correct way to say it!
This is why it's been awhile BEFORE I could answer your question as to how I liked this current new color change. I apologize for the delay in replying to your question, hopefully you now better understand. It's nice to know...each time I color, it will be so very close to the previous. I do not hear, "You've changed your color (again!) each time I color. Thank you again for your concern of my thoughts about this NEWEST (LIGHTER) adjustment. Your company has AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE, which I for one...appreciate!

Luckily I found esalon not long after my first do it yourself dye job! I didn't the the store bought color, it was flat and did not last as long as I was led to believe. ESalon, not only fashioned a color just for me, I don't feel like my hair is colored. My natural color was a brown with red highlights. In the summer it got redder if I spent time outside. So to go to a flat color was not natural for me. I LOVE my color and gloss. It makes me feel like me!
A friend recommended ESalon after frustration with inconsistent over the counter results and too pricey salon experiences led to Internet research and finding ESalon.
I've always had thick healthy Hispanic hair but now in my 40s fast growing hair means fast growing greys as well and over coloring my coffee brown hair was turning it black no matter what I did.
I ordered a beautiful medium brown with gold highlights from ESalon and at first got lovely brown roots and reverse ombré black ends.
I called ESalon for help and they explained that adding color over color deposits SO often saturated my hair with color eventually getting darker and darker until my longest (therefore oldest) hair became black no matter which shade I tried.
The ESalon color technician recommended a clarifying shampoo on my darker hair to try to remove old color before applying new color. (I also found a color removal product that removes color buildup leaving my hair ready for the shimmering rich ESalon color)
I also followed the advice of putting my color on roots Only then putting the rest of color on only at the end of the process.
I've received a lot of compliments on the color vibrancy, the bounce and shine of my hair.

I have been using the same formula for awhile now and I love how my hair color always looks the same! I hated how store bought brands would vary form bottle to bottle, I don't think I ever got the same results (evening making sure to buy exactly the same brand/color mixture)!
eSalon worked with me to find my perfect color. It is as close to my childhood color as it could be. Unlike store brands, my roots have not come through. That was the most frustrating part. My kids were always telling me my roots were showing after 2 weeks! Not anymore. I highly recommend the experts of eSalon to help you find your perfect color....that lasts!!
