I was spending a small fortune having my hair dyed at the salon because I couldn't find over the counter she that would cover gray and left my hair looking beatiful. Well the search is over. Custom mixed to the exact color I want. Covers gray and leaves my hair looking great. And now I can even she my hair in the middle of the night if I want rather than when I can get an appointment. The only down side is I don't get to see the girls at the salon.
Redheads always dread going to a new salon! It usually takes them a few times to get the right shade of red. Based on the information and picture I provided to eSalon, I was happy with the end results! Just placed my 3rd order~
After seeing a picture of myself at Easter I said boy look at all that gray. I look so old for 51 I saw the eSalon ad watched video and ordered color. Was here before I knew it and I did have 1 question so I called [it was the week-end too] my question was answered and I got package a few days later. Read things over which was pretty easy to follow. I did my coloring alone so had to make sure I got back good. My only mistake was that dye remover I got some in my hair , next time I have to be more careful. everything else went only as pack read. I would TOTALLY recommend this Custom Hair Color 100%
I had professional highlights over my natural light brown hair and wanted to go back to my natural color as my highlights had grown out a bit. I have far too busy of a work schedule to go into the salon so I purchased from Esalon. I was quite nervous that I would have a green hue in my hair by dying over the highlights but I was confident that my colorist Vanessa would formulate the hair color to avoid that result. I received my package and dyed my hair last night. I am very happy with the results although it is quite a bit darker than I wanted it. She sent me light brown and my hair is very dark brown right now although I'm sure it will fade after a couple of washes. No green hue and the color is pretty even! My hair does feel a bit processed now but I am hoping to reverse that with a couple of hair masks. :) I also bought the toning shampoo for the second time as I loved it the first time!
I've been coloring my hair myself for years, but within the last 2 years the products I used didn't color the all of my gray. Finally found a product that is much cheaper than the salon. Love that it covers all and lasts until there is new growth!
Got the hair color kit and it was kind of overwhelming at first as there was a separate bottle for roots and another for rest of the hair. But the results were amazing and much much better than when I had it done at hair salon. The mahogany touch was very beautiful and hair felt so soft and healthy! Hooked for life!
I love this hair color! Perfect color and wonderful included accessories (ie gloves, stain remover & stain guard). The only down side to my review would be the time it takes to be delivered (approx 1 week).
This company is very reliable and sends me my product when requested. Their emails about shipping and making color changes makes things very convenient. My onlly complaint is that when I requested that my shade of medium dark brown contain less of a reddish color, I didn't see any changes.
I love the color. It made my hair soft and not straw feeling like the store colors do. I think it is probably my hair but did notice it did not attach to some gray but i do love it.
I am almost to my original copper penny hair color. I used a color remover before using this product and hope by the next round it will remove the pinkish hue. I had such a hard time finding my real hair color and had to have a dark fake maroon almost color which I then became fed up and added punk red to it. It was beautiful but I am craving my real color. I found this link on Pinterest and I am sold! I love the custom color and the extra care they put into the creation of my package. I am a forever customer! Please do not change a thing. What I love most about this color is that you got it so close to my natural color that you can't even see the root regrowth. The color is beautiful. My only complaint is that it washed out a little too easily with the first one. So I will see how long this application lasts. But loved it even as it lightened.
I was growing out previous hair color and had tried a do it yourself box of L'Oréal dark blonde...yeah I knew better as esalon has never let me down in the past. So I placed an order and my colorist Leianna called me personally to get more details about what I had last used on my hair etc. when I received my color this time there were two separate colors for my roots and the rest of my hair ...I'm not a hair stylist I was a little worried I couldn't do this myself, but I just carefully went through the steps and tried to remember that I was in good hands with my own color expert. It came out better than I'd expected, zero damage to the hair I've been judiciously trying to grow out the last three months. I am blessed with thick hair, however, when I began to gray, it almost seemed like a curse, finding color that could give good gray coverage was impossible! Until now, I have found this perfect new color that has incredible gray coverage. A must have for anyone who is having problems with difficult grays.
My first color was not quite what I wanted -- esalon was able to take my description, describing quite subtle changes, and create a beautiful product, perfect for my hair and personality.
Covered my gray, and brought my hair back to a consistent, all over color where it had been way too light at the ends, and too dark at the roots. Covered beautifully!

.I was very skeptical to try a hair color I had seen on Facebook. I had my first Professional Real Estate headshots in a little over a week and the other brands were lightning my grays so that it looked lighter than the rest of my hair but never fully masked it or made it all match and I wasn't happy with how long the true color stayed. E-salon covered my grays and all my hair has the same color. It included everything I needed in the kit including gloves, shampoo, conditioner, a mixing bowl, and brush. The instructions were easy to follow and the color looks amazing and my headshots turned out wonderful and I have had many compliments on my hair color. Thanks, from a truly satisfied customer.
I love the color. I had no patchy darker or lighter spots like I did with my Wella color. My roots always looked okay with wella but the rest of my hair always seemed to have a quite dark undertone. I don't know how to explain it. I am going to do my best to try to afford your product every month. I live on Social Security and it never increases, so I may have to stop.
I have dyed my hair for years now , and around two years ago I decided I wanted red hair. Ever since I have used boxed colour and it faded really quickly and my ends were always a different tone to the roots. I came across esalon by chance as it popped up as an ad. So i went into it had a look around and decided I would test their claims. So I went through what I wanted what my hair is like now etc. I was given a stylist and she made my colour. One for roots one for lengths. It arrived , so easy to apply and washed out well. It does have a strong chemical smell however the result is worth it. I have asked for an adjustment on my colour for roots and this was done immediately and I approved it . I just wanted a little more red added. My colour is multi dimensional, super shiny, soft and the coverage iis brilliant. It has coloured evenly and my friends actually asked where I had my hair done! I love this and will continue to use forever! The colour used is salon grade so it takes and covers brilliantly. A very very satisfied and happy customer! If you want amazing colour , go on , give it a go! 😺
I was over proccessed with highlights and I think the beautician actually pulled out some of my hair. It was fuzzy and brittle. Now it looks healthy and that bald spot seems to be much better, maybe gone.
Ok to be honest I was a tad secptical as I've tried every make of hair dye on the market and none of them covered my grey. So I thought why not give this a try, I'm so glad I did, fab coverage.... bye bye greys

I used this product for the first time last night and it was simple enough to do. SUPER happy with the color and the fact that it didn't make my ends WAY darker than the roots like normal drug store boxed color does. I am basically coloring my hair my natural color just trying to cover a few grey strands. I can't say I'm pleased with that result. My grey looks like blond now and not grey, but I'm guessing it's going to wash out quickly and that doesn't make me happy.
Very satisfied with the products! However, I think I took too long to apply the color so it turned a bit dark and the gray turned kind of reddish instead of golden.
I do have problems with my scalp and hope to find a product that will not cause my scalp to itch!

Rather than going to a hairdresser and ending up with the color they think you want, I can use my own hair color and have more control over how dark my hair looks.
The colour is good and I've had compliments on it. The system also was good and although I prefer foam for application, I can get used to cream.
The only thing I have to see is how long the colour lasts to be able to judge its value for me.
It's been many many yrs since I've had any color in my hair so it was very important to me that this color be a slight change not something too drastic. I have dark blonde hair that has lost its sheen and looks almost dirty blondish-grey. I wanted a slight change to make it more dark golden blonde without so much dirty-grey tone. After answering questions, choosing colors, describing (probably over-describing) exactly what I was looking for and up loading photos of me w/my current natural color I was still very skeptical some so called colorist, however far away, would be able to send me exactly what I asked for. Nevertheless, when I received it I was determined to more forward with my choice to color my hair. Since it had been so long I'd done this myself, I had my sister apply it for me. The kit is very easy and comes with everything you need (except for clips to section hair with). After all was complete and my new color was dried and styled, I was simply amazed how perfect the color is; it is to the tee of what I described and asked for! We are always the toughest critics of ourselves and how we look - I tend to be a real perfectionist. And for me to even be sharing a review is s huge deal; I rarely ever do, even if the product is decent. However I am so pleased with this product and service, and you really can't beat the cost (at least to try it), I felt compelled to share my experience about eSalon. If I do decide to continue coloring my hair I will most definitely be ordering from them.
It doesn't turn my hair red after a few washings! I have tried every brand of hair color and they don't hold my color it turns red I have naturally drark brown but they all turned red! Now I have alot of gray It covers well! and don't turn red! my picture has some gray on the sides that was intensional!
The color came out less orange, and is a much better color. But I think I'm looking more for a red on the cool side.. that's how it was explained long ago to me. I love your kits and the convenience. Also yours is the only color I've ever had that does not run off on pillows the first night.. even salon colors did that! So let me know what you think I might like a little more. Thanks

I didn't know what to expect after trying every colour manufacturer under the sun for my increasing grey hair invasion. I have nearly black hair so regrowth happens quickly... I thought until finding e salon. I have learned that the colours I have used haven't "attached" well to my (grey) hair and I was touching up after only a week. Not with e salon... I am now well into week 2.
I felt that my hair had become somewhat drab. Since I do not wear makeup, it is important that my hair brings some enthusiasm to my face. As always, the color was easy to apply and the end product did enliven me quite a bit. I am happy with the result.
I have been doing my own hair for years. Periodically I would go to the salon and treat myself to have my hair colored. I loved how they colored my hair but it was always so expensive. I must tell you; I was really skeptical about using this product and didn't use it when it first arrive, I just kept using my coloring pencil to cover in my gray. Today I used the color and I swear, I thought I had gone to the salon to have my color put in. It was perfect. Not because of me, but my colorist. When I submitted my initial order I received an email to contact the company. When I spoke with my colorist she indicated the color I selected online was darker than the picture I submitted. She asked if I wanted it darker or the same color. I said the same color. The product colored my gray much better than any product I've ever purchased over the counter and as good if not better than the professional color that cost me a fortune. My hair is a very dark brown to pretty much black and usually when I buy store bought hair color I have to use two boxes each month for about 3 months to get it a little light. When I tried eSalon I used one application and it definitely lightened up my hair within 30 minutes. I was impressed with the change it did. It was not the exact color I was looking for but I plan to continue to use eSalon and see if maybe a second application will make me 100% happy. I really can't complain with the results because my hair is super dark naturally and super thick.
The color was perfect. My only complaint was that it didn't cover my gray well enough. But that could be because I went with semi permanent. I did email them and they said they will adjust my next order. Can't wait to use this color again!
I changed my color formula to something less brassy and like it now. I am interested in pursuing and option of a slightly darker color which could give a slightly variable look to some strands--sort of like a "reverse frosting." Is there a special kit for that effect?
I don't feel comfortable using store bought hair color. I trust u guys to get me the right color and no damage to hair. So far so good. Luv the shampoos. Hair has less damage n feels soft. Only thing just little too much red in my blonde but still like it.
I have grey hair with the remains of bleached out colour. After the custom hair colour it is warm and bright but definitely suits my eye and skin colour.
I have many hair color horror stories. Many about coloring my whole head only to find it too dark everywhere and the grays still gray. I've had major color damage from salon services, and some all out fails that left my hair a mess. I had almost given up on coloring and resigned myself to going gray in my mid 40's. I was also freaked out by changes in my hair texture and really bad breakage post a bad coloring incident, especially now that I'm wearing my natural afro-textured curly hair.
This hair color treats my naturally curly hair really well. And the customer service instructions to add a hair masque to the routine has 100% made all the difference. I'll never go back to box color from the drugstore--or a professional stylist. Ever.
I was a bit skeptical at first ordering a hair color online that I could not physically hold and consider. I love how esalon helps you select the perfect shade. I was a medium blonde with brassy, faded highlights. My roots (cool beige blonde) were overgrown by about six inches. I followed the prompts, and picked as close a shade as I could to my natural color growing out. I took a picture of my current color, and uploaded it for stylist Danielle to review. I told her I want to cover my highlights and have a natural hair color. The color I received was stunning, perfect match to my roots. I just colored on Saturday and I have already received many compliments. I am so happy with my purchase, and my color is beautiful. I am really pleased with both the color and the savings over salon color. The trickiest part for me has been even application to the mostly grey roots of my thick dark hair.
I have been using this service for over a year. Every time I get the box its has exactly what I need to get gorgeous red hair. My stylist always adjust the way I requests. Now if I could just get someone to do the actual work to dye it at the same quality and affordability.
I give eSalon a 💯. Once you try it, you will never go back to purchasing your color from the drug store. I had hand surgery and was in a cast for 8 weeks. My roots were horrible. So my cast came off Wednesday and I colored my hair Thursday....Voile The color matched PERFECTLY. I❤️eSalon
This is now my second time using my new customs hair color. The first try was to dark and I spoke with color specialist and they tweaked it and now it is great:)
As someone wanting a ginger/red colour, the shops proved very disappointing as they sell such a small range of these shades. With e-Salon, I've been able to choose the exact shade I want and set up a regular supply which I can change as and when I need to. I've had absolutely no problems with my orders and have been delighted with the ease of application. The shade remains true throughout the time between applications and my hair is in excellent condition. I'd be happy to recommend this product and company and have, in fact, already done so!
Whether you're just trying to stay the same or go for a new look I have done it all through eSalon. Make sure to send them natural pictures and with your hair fixed then tell them your goal and I promise you will have great results with multi-dimensional color a great feel and a little extra body

I did went to my beautician and she did my hair with this new product, she was amazed how the color turn out , and my hair look so beautiful and color my grays , except i notice few. I wasn't able since i had hand surgery few weeks ago and was not able to do myself. However I lost also the instructions paper, she ques the minutes and she was surprise with the prize. Perhaps i was thinking the owner can get this product? She said only need more work? and she charge me the same as she did applied the color. So , I had no choice to get my hair done. Using eSalon hair color has been HAIR-TACULAR!!! I was not ever someone to color my hair at home myself but after I moved and had to find someone New to start doing my hair after being with same hair stylist for over 25 years I was extremely nervous as through the years less than five times using someone other than my stylist only to end up with a nightmare(I am MAJOR Particular) that my original stylist would have to fix so it was like I ended up paying twice to get what I wanted. So I was SO NERVOUS and scared looking at local advertisements, I happened to be on computer and saw an ad for eSalon and figured I'd try it thinking I certainly wouldn't end up with, worse case 😬scenario(even), the nightmares😱 I had paid large amounts of money 💰 to have bestowed upon me, so I decided to check out an order from the eSalon to my shock😃 and delight😊I was able to use their color choosing questionnaire and end up with the EXACT COLOR I had tried to explain even to my regular stylist (and still never quite got in all these years😥). And at a very reasonable price, only a small amount more than I would have paid just picking up haircolor at the local Walmart to do myself at home and tremendously less than I would have paid at the salon, so considering it was BETTER than any other time I had paid to have someone else do it, I am beyond words with DELIGHT, AMAZEMENT, JUBILATION and HAPPINESS at having given the eSalon haircolor a try and WOULD RECOMMEND it to absolutely anyone you'll be HAPPY you tried it as well!!!!!!💕😃🎉 My hair also has remained Beautiful,🌹 Healthier, 🤗and Silkier 💃🏻🕺🏻Than ever before!!! The instructions were very clear and the product was exactly what I wanted. As a busy stay at home mom with two kids, I was having trouble getting out to make hair appointments to cover my grays. This is no affordable and convenient. I will be using again!
I haven't colored my hair in many years, so I opted to stay close to my natural color. The formula I ordered nearly matched and not many people seemed to noticed I did anything with my hair (which was a good thing)
