Didn't cover my grey for longTwo weeks and the grey was showing. Also made my scalp itchy. I have cancelled my order, but still you have processed it and it's on it's way. I will now have to find a blonde and gift them the kit as I have had to return to my hairdresser for her to sort my hair out, plus the pharmacy to sort out my itchy scalp. Faded very quicklyHello, I usually have really good luck with your product, however this time the color faded off my gray very quickly. Also, I noticed on the set that was shipped May 5th, is going to my old address in Montana. Everything under my account says my address in Idaho though. Yikes! Too Dark and damaged my hairColor is too dark and I found it damaged my hair. I thought I cancelled my account but eSalon still sent me a package this week of color that is too dark for me. Sorry it didn't work for meI have a lot of gray and this did not cover any of it but most of all the color was very light almost white blond no real golden color at all. I followed the instruction exactly, 30 minutes after the full 4 sections were covered, but the color either didn't take or somehow I got the wrong color. Nothing golden, or blond about the finished product on my hair. My suggestion is to go darker then you might think you want and maybe that will work. Couldn't tell I colored my hairMy hair is brown and I dye it blue black twice a year. After I used esalon hair dye, I couldn't even tell I had dyed my hair. All my roots were still brown and it could not have been blue black because the ends of my hair was the dull black it was before I used the hair dye. I could have sworn I canceled the subscription but they drafted my account at 5:30 this morning but I was told it was already shipped and I would have to wait and refuse the package/send it back and wait on them to get it back and process before they would refund my money. If u cancel your subscription, u might want to double check and make sure ur cancelation was completed. I'm going back to store bought dye. Color way darker than expectedI was hesitant to start dying my hair because I never had before and I liked my natural color. I attempted to get as close to my hair color as possible and asked my friends their opinion and they all said medium brown was closest to my hair color. It took me a couple of months to but the bullet and dye my hair. The color looks to me like the darkest brown, not medium at all. I’m disappointed in how off it looks from the photo in the color finder. The positive is that my hair feels amazing. It was not what I was expecting - lovely colour but only enough for my rootsI will admit that I was sick when I ordered this, so I was not 100% myself, but when it came in the mail I was excited to try it. I thought I had ordered colour for my overall hair, but when I opened the instructions it said it was for my roots only. I did this and I love the colour, but I would like it for my whole head, not just the roots (it is close to my natural colour so it doesn't look too obvious). I am having trouble changing what I order though, and am finding the site confusing. If I was just rating based on the colour, it would be 5 stars, but I feel there has been a bit of a lack of transparency, and when I returned to try to order enough for my whole head everything that keeps coming up is about reordering the same thing which I don't want to do, so 3 stars for now. Color disasterI informed eSalon about how my hair reacts to any reds in the formula. They didn’t listen. Nor did they respond when I reached out about the tangerine, strawberry and bright red that became my “professional color”. After crying for days I am ready to venture out and have it redone. Okay, not great.Did my application last night. The color came out close to the strawberry blonde I wanted. It's not shiny, kind of dingy looking. The dye was very strong smelling, burned my eyes and completely dried out my hair. The two bottles wasn't enough for all my hair, so I missed a few spots. Not impressedI planned to lighten my dark brown hair, and cover grey. Despite adding photos I received a light brown colour which made my hair darker and covered the natural highlights in my hair, rather than being multi dimensional. I sent a message to customer service about this as I would like to be reimbursed before trying any further hair colours. I've received no response, and having washed my hair three times the colour appears to be fading. Too dark, warm & too brassy - I have regretsIs it better than boxed dye? I didn't think so. The kit materials themselves (gloves, stainguard, etc) were nicer, but I saw no difference in the dye product itself. I had stopped dyeing my hair about 7 years ago and I wanted a color match to blend in my greys. I have light, ashy, cool toned brown hair. What I got was too dark, too warm and too brassy. To be fair, it's okay, just not at all what I wanted. Sigh. Now I'm stuck wondering how orange this is going to be as it fades out. A bit too yellow for my taste...I wanted to go from my natural hair colour (ash blonde with a hint of red) to a light blonde. At first I was reluctant to try out the dye they sent me, and tbh I should have listened to my gut. After following all the instructions, and a look into the mirror I was surprised by a hair colour that could very well be described as a similar shade as a very controversial former US president is wearing on his head. Very yellow. Very much not what I was going for, and very disappointing. Now I have to "sit out" this colour, wait for my hair and scalp to recover, to run to the salon to get it fixed, after all. Not goodMy hair is fine & partial gray @ roots Did not cover roots! Left on full amount of time, if not longer. Made my ends tangle (yes it was completely tangle free & brushed prior to coloring) & then lots of my hair fell out. Not for fine hair. And did nothing for greys. I wanted a shade lighter. It made my hair a shade darker instead.I have medium/dark brunette hair. I wanted a shade lighter, went with ash dark blonde. This "blonde" turned my brunette hair darker by a shade or two . I made sure to follow all the instructions, but have a darker result. The chemical smell though is what got me, it made my eyes burn and water, my nose and lungs sting, it was hard to catch my breath. I hope others have a better experience. Poor customer serviceReally Unimpressed with customer service Ordered hair colour well over a week ago and it didn’t get despatched. Decided to go to hairdresser instead and tried to cancel the order as it says you can by phoning. Phone was not answered so repeatedly emailed and filled out contact form. Those were also not answered so now they have sent the colour very late which I no longer need and I have wasted over £40. Very disappointedI was/am very disappointed with my product, my color wasn’t anywhere near what I wanted. I really didn’t even have the choice to pick what I really wanted, and I’ve never had a hair color make my hair fall out as much as this one did. I’ve used it twice. But it took more than 3 weeks before it was shipped from the online store, and then a long time by post. So by the time I had to leave the set had not arrived. Orange HairI am sadly very disappointed in this hair dye experience. My goal was to have a soft natural light brown matching my root color. I took the quiz, uploaded photos, wrote out my goals to the colorist. I was advised to first fill my blonde highlights with a copper tint rinse. I then applied the "light neutral brown" on top. I was left with nearly black hair. Upon trying to rinse the color out over the last week I have been left with a carrot orange color. I followed every direction to a T ... my hair is now damaged, not a cute color, and will have to be fixed professionally. Way too dark and issues with re-orderingWhat was suppose to be a medium brown came out almost black. I know this happens sometimes with brown colors and then it eventually fades out, but almost black is not the same as medium brown. If only the shade was good for me, I would be amazed at how slowly the color fades. 1 month has passed and my hair is still almost black... I wish it would fade but it hasn't, this would've been a five star review if the shade was right. Another problem is that I ordered a new color a week ago and it still has not shipped. Hair Color Well Matched but Product Didn't Cover Gray; Missing BrushFirst, the box was shipped to me without the brush which is a multi-purpose tool needed to divide the areas and to apply the color. I proceeded anyway, and made a huge mess. On top of that, the color didn't fully cover all the grays, even though I kept the color on for the recommended time (my husband also helped me apply the color ensure coverage). In addition, for some reason the color continued to come out of the bottle even though I wasn't squeezing the bottle, it was just oozing out the entire time I was coloring my hair, and adding the the overall mess. Suffice to say, I think it's much easier if I just go to the salon next time. The missing brush was probably the most annoying part of the experience. GO TO MADISON REED INSTEADThis was the 2nd chance I gave to ESALON. The 1st one- wrong color, covered only a few grays & FRIED MY SCALP. They gave me a refund & sent a new kit - which I appreciated however- same experience!! This time it fried my hair!! The only other time this has happened is when I bought some dye from store that only costed $2 so obviously esalons quality is that of a 2 dollar box of dye! A lot darker than expected.I knew when I put my mixture in it was going to be way darker than expected as it has more of a blue undertone than green, which I asked for because I had a red tone in my hair. But apart from it being darker, it was very easy to apply. Only other thing I would say is that I was told to do a focus on roots, but my roots are a lot darker than my ends.
