I should have tried a lighter blonde. The color is darker than I expected, but definitely works. It does have the red/gold color that I was hoping it wouldn't have. However, it is still a pretty color overall.

This was the first time in many years that I've colored my own hair (a "Lucille Ball red" disaster last time!). So I really took several trips to the eSalon site before deciding to pull the trigger on an order, trying hard to get it right. I was NOT trying to do anything but continue the overall color I'd been having done - but on my own because of the virus shutdown. I also am a skeptic about buying lots of "add ons" and special products - I just wanted the basics but good quality basics. That is EXACTLY what I got. I feel great about the ease of use, the quality of the color and I look forward to seeing how the color "ages" over the next few weeks. I learned some things I'll do a little differently next time - but other than that, I used the instructions as given and would recommend this as a product for the unskilled home colorist!

J ai mis 4 étoiles et non 5 car couleur très belle, rend bien à la lumière
Un tantinet trop rouge
J aurai eu une teinte en dessous j aurais mis je pense 5
Il faut assumer ce côté très roux, très affirmé
Je le fais et je ne m attendais pas il est vrai à un roux aussi tranché
J aime ma couleur et je suis surprise

J'avais un peu d'appréhension car c'était une 1ere et par correspondance de surcroît pour ce type d'achat !
Grande surprise, bonne qualité sur les produits , l'emballage parfait, dommage pas de petit cadeau (accessoires) aurait été un petit plus !
Je suis très contente pour ce 1er achat par contre il manquait un gant (1 paire et demi = 3 gants au lieu de 4 ???) pas de cache-branches pour celles qui porteraient des lunettes (c'est mon cas ) .
Délai de livraison un peu long pas conforme j 'ai attendu prés de 2 semaines !
Sinon, je suis emballée pour la suite... A bientôt

I finally got the nerve to let my husband color my hair for me. I love it and my husband! I'll be doing this for now on. I'll have to help clean up afterwards though, he got a little on the kitchen cupboard and wall. LOL

I've dyed my hair a ton in the past, I'm 33 and especially in my teen years I never liked my natural hair color. After a few recent years of cleansing my hair out and chopping off all the dead crusty hair, I finally had my natural color back. It felt great but the sun took the dark tones away. I came across eSalon randomly and decided to try it. I went for a dark plum type black. Immediately the next day I received a friendly voicemail about the color I chose. It was out of stock and when I called back and talked to a stylist I ended up saying they could choose what they thought would look best. That was one of the best choices I have made for my hair. It looks amazing and it feels healthy still!

J'ai testé le concept après une pub sur internet et à cause du confinement...sans trop y croire mais en me disant que, vu l'offre promotionnelle, je ne risquais pas grand chose!
Agréable surprise en recevant le coffret: le kit coloration, les 2 paires de gants, crème pour protéger la peau et lingette nettoyante, pinceau pour appliquer la couleur et notice explicative....y'a plus qu'à!
La couleur est préparée en quantité très suffisante et le rendu est vraiment conforme à ce que je souhaitais.
Bravo aux coloristes... et merci!

From the first moment I contacted esalon to order my hair colour I have been impressed with the exceptional service. Although I had my reservations about having to dye my roots at home, as I’m unable to visit my regular hairdresser to due to the current lockdown, I was reassured after a call from the colourist to check that the product that would be prepared for me would be perfect and I am happy to report that it has blended well with my existing colour and that I will be continuing to place orders during the lockdown and beyond to extend the time between my visits to the hairdresser. I am a natural redhead. As I am aging, my hair has faded to a strawberry blonde around my face. I feel like it washes me out. However, red hair color fades so quickly and I just can not afford to go to the salon that often.
I have NEVER colored my hair at home before this. Drugstore brands In red always look either fake or too brown. I saw the ad for e-salon and since we are social distancing for COVID19, I thought ‘why not?’ I’m so glad I gave it a try.
I was petrified my hair was going to look either patchy or fake. Nope!!! I am soooo pleased with the results. The directions were easy to follow and for my first attempt, I think it turned out great. My son and my BFF will be brutally Honest with me. Both said it looks fantastic. Bff can’t believe I did it myself. My hubby loves it.
I am sooo happy! No more washed out /old looking hair. I know it probably will fade quickly as most reds do but I plan to try the tint rinse with my next order.

Seriously. This hair dye kit was 10000% worth it. I've done the whole box dye years ago, then started going to salons twice or thrice a year, then as of recent stopped being able to afford the salon. So I tried Artic Fox and Overtone to maybe help refresh my black hair for longer, but they never lasted very long and didn't cover my greys (semi-permanent, duh).
I didn't wanna go back to box dye cause I know it's not good for my hair, so I was looking for the best alternative I could find without having to figure out the Sally's hair dyeing aisle. I think you can guess the rest.
The sign-up was not only extensive and easy to navigate, but when the kit came in everything was ready to go with step-by-step instructions. It took me almost half the time it would normally take for me to dye my hair with box dyes, and actually covered ALL of my roots, including my greys. I'm already like 4 weeks in and my hair is still looking as black as the queen of darkness herself, Morticia.
So do I recommend this? Oui.

I think the color is great. The only problem is that it doesn't completely cover around the ears. I'm on oxygen and use a cannula and my husband is the one who applies the color. Being a retired hairstylist myself I think he's scared to put much there because he's afraid that itll stain my skin. I've told him not to worry about it. Anyway. I think it makes the color look more natural. Thank you for making my color to my specs, and changing it up after I do the surveys. I think this is a wonderful product and the employees are always nice acting.

Mindy was able to send me a color that perfectly matches my natural color and it did a great job covering my grays. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because I didn't have quite enough conditioner to cover my hair after the coloring was done. There was plenty of shampoo, but I have long hair and the conditioner didn't quite give me the coverage that I would have liked. Otherwise, everything about this experience, so far, has been awesome!

I loved the color and my specialist worked closely to really understand the color I wanted. I would give this five stars, except the dye on the tips has washed back out to almost my natural color. There is only a tint of color left. But I love the color of my roots and my specialist has been very helpful in working to achieve the perfect color!

Choix : blond foncé cendré cuivré
Mes attentes :
Une nuance glacée pour atténuer mon doré cuivré, cacher mes gris naissants et avoir une couleur uniforme, lumineuse et naturelle.
Résultats :
Ma couleur n'est pas du tout glacée, aucune trace du cendré mais...
Mes racines sont comme mes longueurs dorées cuivrées, c'est naturel, beau, lumineux et mes gris sont couverts.
Conclusion :
Je ne m'attendais pas à ça mais c'est très naturel et ma nuance de base est conservée.
(+) les cheveux sont doux et brillants et l'effet naturel est un grand +
(-) l'odeur très très forte et le cendré absent.

The first time I ordered a light brown shade looking for a color similar to what I had at the time and liked. I included a few pics and placed my order. I got an email back suggesting a lighter shade as they thought my choice would have been too dark for me. I took their advice and it was very nice but noticed a bit of a reddish tint in the sun which I do not like. I requested that they tone this down so they adjusted it. Now I absolutely love my color. It’s a dark blonde shade that I think is pretty with my complexion. It’s a nice rich light brown and has blond highlights in the sun. Perfect for me. 😊

I appreciate that my colorist looked at my picture and compared it to the color I chose. She altered the color based on the picture, and it turned out very nice. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that I like a more intense red than I got with this color. I am hoping it is adjusted with my next set. Hair felt very nice afterward.

Ich konnte mir von meiner Schwester wie gewohnt mit der Flasche und einem Kamm die Haare färben lassen. Die Farbe war reichlich. Für die Längen hatte ich noch etwas über. Die Haare waren geschmeidig. Nur mit der Knotenbildung hatte ich zu kämpfen in den Längen. Die grauen Ansätze schimmern heller im schokobraun, als die Längen, die dunkel waren. Wird normal sein. Der telefonische Kontakt vor der Anwendung war auch super freundlich. Danke

I love my results!
My natural color is a medium brown/medium Auburn, but I have been dying it varying shades of brighter reds for 20+ years (both professionally and at home).
For my most recent professional dye, I had to come down from a very dark wine color to get back to my old favorite; Copper! Because that was quite a process, I had faded back out to a darker orange-y blonde, and blonde is NOT my color!
I can’t afford to keep getting it redone professionally, and, as a nursing student, I don’t really have time to, either! This color is so rich and perfect! Will definitely be subscribing.

was mir gefällt ist, die Farbe ist leicht aufzutragen und deckt sehr gut die grauen Haare ab. Der besondere Nebeneffekt allerdings ist, dass sie beim auftragen die entstandenen Flecken am Gesicht oder Hals/Ohrenpartien ganz leicht wie abgeht.
Nach der Haarwäsche ist es nicht zu erkennen das man sich die Haare gefärbt hat. Es sieht so echt aus. Allerdings sollte man definitiv die intensive Feuchtigkeitsmaske aufjedenfall auftragen. Alles in allem ....Ich bin sehr zufrieden 👏🏻👏🏻

It was a perfect match. I just wanted to cover my greys which are mostly around my hairline. The colour was exact, it was really impossible to even tell that I had dyed my hair except the greys were gone. The only thing I didn't like as much was how thick the product was. If it was a bit more liquidy it would work through my hair a bit easier. I was worried ordering online but I will likely continue with esalon.

I am 54, and I don't want my hair color to accentuate my age. If you look around, as people age, they dye their hair red or black and they look really old. It's recommended to go lighter rather than darker. I wanted light brown but never got it. I am ready to give up on eSalon because it's never right.

The colorists do a great job at matching your hair color. The color has amazing depth coverage is better than store bought. Gray coverage, especially around the face (fine hairs) is hard to keep covered though. It's probably human error but I try to cover around the frame of my face but it's hard. Other than that, I'm enjoying the program.

I like my colour even though it is still to dark. Found it really messy using a tray and brush. I will just use the bottle application next time and see how I go.
I am now well over to a year in using Esalon. My hair colour is now really nice. I still find the product quite messy, but nothing that can’t be washed off. My hair also feels quite sticky after colouring not sure why, so I just re-wash it.
I like being able to email a colourist to discuss my requirements.

Recently moved to a mountain village and pretty much letting gray just run its course. Well as predicted I felt I needed a hair adjustment one problem no nearby salon, YEKS! Stroke of luck of Just by coincidence while online I discovered eSalon! And I am loving it -- firstly went with a dark brown -- mostly covering gray! Then adjusted color to a medium brown reducing brassy tones then the wild of my soul said "Highlights", well that didn't go very well definitely an operator error! No problem just colored over highlights! Well I'm going to give it another try this time "following the instructions! ESalon provides the tools, great products and the luxury and ease to self create beautiful hair! Just follow the instructions trust me they provide them for a good reason

Love the color, it matched my skin color perfectly. The only issue that I have is that I have very resistant grey hair in the front, so after only 1 week, I already started seeing grey roots coming thru. What should I do next?

I used to use Sallys but they discontinued my colour. Saw eSalon on Facebook and decided to try. They got my first colour exactly right!!
The second package came damaged, and less than two weeks later I had a brand new whole kit for free!! Love eSalon & I'm so thankful to have found them!!

My hair is oily and clumpy after using your shampoo and conditioner. But after rewashing it with my own brand, it was okay and the color remained true. Nice service and detailed packaging gives you an additional star from 3.

I have Ben going to the salon to get my hair colored for years and I found this product easy to use. It leaves your hair soft and manageable. The only thing I didn’t like is that it left me with a lot of red highlights. Hopefully is an easy fix for the next shipment .

My natural rich red hair has been fading in color little by little over the last 10 years as well as getting some pure whites by my hairline. Esalon gave me back as close to my natural hair color as I could ever get. Never thought I could have it back. I do have comparable pictures of my Virgin hair color and esalon 15 years apart and I'm impressed. My application could be better, but I'll learn..I hope. Wish I could post the after pic.

I will say, the smells when first opening the bottles almost gagged me...and I told myself...no...won't do this. But, it dissipated quickly. I used the product and loved how it went on, loved how it went off...loved how the shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel and look. Yes, I will be staying with this color set, especially for me. The first colour was sadly far darker than what I expected, I emailed the company and they recommended some products to remove the colour, I did and then sent them pictures, I received a phone call from a colourist asking specifically what my goals were and was sent not 1 but 2 bottles of dye completely free, and I love my colour now!
They handled my complaint so well and that can not be faulted.
Would deffo recommend sending a picture of your hair so they know exactly what they’re working with.

I have long, thick, dry, frizzy, coarse red hair, which is very difficult to color, because it's the least porous hair, therefore, coloring it DOES NOT last! No matter what I did, how often I cut it, condition it with every wash, going to salon after salon or bought something from the store and doing it myself. Two months later, the color was gone, so I was just wasting my money! For the longest time, I had been reading about eSalon, debating over whether or not to try them. VERY glad I did!!! Not only does the color last(at least 5-6 months!), but it is a lot closer to my natural hair color(copper), and doesn't turn out burgundy, like all the other times I've had it colored! And, I'm not even paying half of what I was going to a salon!

The color has a better look than what I was using. I am trying to go from darkest brown that looks black to a dark brown or brown black. Another words, a shade down. My gray is beginning to pop through but in the regrowth only. Usually anything other than almost black fades and the gray is revealed. This color has stayed where I put it. In certain lights I do see my roots are brown. I will have to hang in there while I am 2 toned.

My first mixture had just a little bit too much red for my liking. so I sent them a note just within days of them shipping me my new products and they made a correction that quick. I love the color correction, it was the best thing I did. Within days my new color was here within the corrections. So far so good

The colors were perfect! The only complaint I have is that my hair texture changed after the color so it needed more moisture or keratin in the conditioner afterwards, but the results were fabulous. I’ll do it again next time

The color looked like it was performed in a salon. I have been very impressed with the quality. After making changes to the original color, my colorist resounded by changing it to make it closer to my natural hair color. Having naturally dark hair, I worried it would look too one dimensional or too black. I was happy to see that it looks multi-dimensional and natural, as it would if I had it dyed in a salon.
I did elect to later order hi lights and the color was perfect but my technique isn’t. The instructions for hi light weren’t as clear & easy to follow for hi lighting as they were for dying hair. I would like them to provide greater detail on hi lighting hair. For instance, give a couple of closeups when dividing the hair into separate sections. The picture isn’t clear. I can’t exactly see what part of the hair is left down in the back and where the middle section starts and ends. Also, knowing how much color to keep on the brush and instead of showing a drawing, I would appreciate seeing a real picture of the brush with color on it as it is supposed to look when applying it to the hair. I watched the video provided on the website and it didn’t really help or answer all my questions. I usually do my hair in the evening so it would have been too late to call for questions.
Other than this, my experience has been great! I would recommend it to anyone interested who has the patience to do their own work. For instance, I wouldn’t ever recommend this to my mom because she would probably not have patience to read all the way through the instructions and take her time doing it, especially the first time, which means she would likely do a terrible job of it. The color and technique is very forgiving for amateur hands like myself and as long as I follow the dying instructions as best as I can, I have had great results.

Ok- I’ve had highlights and lowlights for 35 years- now I have grey that pops through the new dark growth. I wanted to try this to extend my salon visits from 4 weeks to at least 6/7 weeks. I was sooo scared-! I’d used OTC products that left my hair orangeish. So I dive right in , no test sample.. and I couldn’t believe the subtle, awesome color/cover that took place!! It lasted forever! When I had my real salon appt, she mentioned that they did a great job of making the new growth beige rather than orange and brassy- she is from NY, a great hair stylist- and she was really impressed. I’m a fan for life!! 💕

I have used store bought hair color and have had the color wash out much more quickly then it states BUT
with ESALON the COLOR LASTS and does not wash or turn brassy. It stays dark until my gray comes in. It is a good quality product that does not dry out my dry hair or thin it out. I am only using this product for a few years now.

This time round, using the new creamier colour application, the dye was a lot easier to wash out. My hair felt looser when washing it out, rather than the feeling of the gel stuck to my head! The shampoo was brilliant and I managed to get a proper lather, whereas previously I'd had to use my own shampoo as well as the packet supplied. This time round, I still had some left! I left the conditioner on for 15mins as my hair can be very dry. I still had to put on my own after care leave in conditioner etc. but my hair certainly feels a lot silkier than before. Definitely a far superior product than before.

The color that they sent was very close to my natural color. However there was some grey that it did not color. I know that some of the grey I have is resistant. But a very complete kit with everything you could possibly need. Several emails to follow up on my satisfaction. All this for less then what I tipped my colorist.
I went to my stylist/colorist and of course the first thing she asked was who colored your hair. When I told her I did and where I purchased the product, she was quite surprised. First she asked did anybody help you (she knows I am a very low maintenance person when it comes to my hair care) and I told her no.
She must have looked thru my thick hair (and a lot of it) for several minutes and said I cannot believe there is not one spot not covered and there usually are spots of color that are like blobs in certain areas when people do their own hair.
She said I can see why you are going to keep using their products. She also said I hope they do not start offering Keritan products or you will only come in for haircuts. We laughed.

I loved everything about it and was so excited to give it a try....but it's so dark and there seems to be little to no red in it at all.
A bit dissapointed but the customer service live chat was amazing and fixed the issue in a few minutes. I loved that there was enough dye for my long hair, packaging was nice and modern, loved that it could all be done online and the personalised service itself, I will definitely be ordering again due to this.

This is the first color that has evenly colored my hair from roots to ends. It is fading out now but I believe that is partially due to my hair being naturally curly and course. It does not take color well so I was thrilled when it dyed so evenly

I have very fine hair, chin length. I which I started coloring at home, with clairol root touch up, over 8+ years ago, and after realizing, I could color all my roots with that kit, I stopped going to the salon. I started with Lt brown, but wanted to go a bit lighter to Dark Blond, (my natural color), but, unfortunately, it was beginning to make my ends brassy. One day, a year ago, I switched to L'oreal root rescue in dk blond, and liked the root results, in all, the color was ok,but the ends were still lighter, and had a gold/brassy color, especially after a few weeks. I, decided to try Madison Reed, and chose a color in a neutral Dk Blond,that looked like what I wanted, but the results were Horrible. My roots were so light, over an inch, not only did not cover my grey, it looked like a swath of grey/white on my roots, and the ends were still more or less the same. I was glad it was the weekend, and went to purchase a box of L'oreal root rescue, which at least covered the roots and sort of blended into the rest of my hair. I was considering going back to the salon, to have a professional, "fix" my color, but decided to try esalon , input my color needs and sent pictures of my color and waited for my box with anticipation. I followed all of your directions, and.......drum roll please:)......It came out BEAUTIFUL. My hair looks natural, full of shine, not brittle, and compared to pictures of my natural hair color when younger, looks the same. The color is not flat, it acutaly has subtle highlights, (I think they may come from my grey hair which colors a bit lighter?) and I've had people complement me and ask what salon I go to, or if it is my natural color. I tell them about your product,seeing is believing.
I will post again at the end of the month, about how the color stays through washing, and next touch up, but for now, I am very happy customer.

They really match my normal color perfect I wasn't sure the first time but yes it is great and really does hold better then store bought, and it does still really smell when putting it on but the smells goes away after using the shampoo provided

I used to go to the hair dresser every 3 weeks. Each time he would "eyeball" my color and it was never the same. It would take up to 2 hours of my time. This hair color is consistent and leaves my hair shiny! I am sold!

I really love the colour! I definitely don't think one bottle was enough though..even though my hair is only shoulder length it is very thick. I definitely see spots that I didn't cover unfortunately.

I was a bit hesitant because I wasn’t sure if MY color choice (copper pearl) was gonna blend well with my Auburnish shade. So I let my roots grow out more than I usually do ... almost gave up coloring all together and was just gonna embrace the gray. But I was tired of the silver so I decided I’d go for it.
I followed the instructions to the T... stayed only on the the new growth and kept off the already colored strands and It blended really well. Because my natural hair is a multi dimensional gray (silver, white and gray), it made my hair color multi dimensional too.
It really stuck to the resistant grays ... in the past I’ve used store bought color kits and have literally seen my grays peeking through right after coloring. So all in all it went well. I think I’ll tweak the color balance a little with my colorist... but I’m very pleased.

The product was very easy to use. It had very detailed instructions on how to use each color. I had requested a purple color but it turned out to be a reddish color instead. That is all that I can say that I was disappointed with. The kit came with everything you needed. There was no real strong odors like other dyes have. I would still recommend the product though.

My first color was darker than i would have liked. The process was very easy. The smell was typical hair dye not any stronger not sure why the complaints on the reviews ..not so powerful that I need to complain about odor. The instructions were doable and i felt that the coloring process was not so harsh on my hair as store bought. Hope to get to the color I would like by working with my colorist. On a whole had a positive experience for my first time ...i think they were on point with base color but wish it would have been lighter with the gold tones indicated only reason took off a star.
