Great colour - not enough grey coverageHi. This is my second application and I really love the colour. The only issue is grey coverage. The first application, I followed instructions but it definitely was not long enough. The second time, I left it in a bit longer ( I thought maybe I was over anxious the first time) but there is still a lot of grey that was not covered and after the first wash, there is more grey showing. My hair color does not last long enough.By the 3rd week my color turns brassy and redish. My natural color is a light brown so I am embarrassed by this color. Needed more copperAt first the color had a slight copper/red tone that quickly faded. Now after a few weeks there is no red at all. totally diappointedI had just colored my hair before receiving my first order. So I finally tried it last night. It was so much work, messy, and now I have stains on my shower walls. Then when I dried my hair, I have a 2 toned head. Major red in my hair. (only buy color that has natural in the name). too dark. Then to top it off, did not cover white stubborn hairs at ears (that is main reason I tried this). Since they shipped me a second one before I could even test the first one. I am stuck with it. I didn't find any difference in the two products except that my hair did not come out as soft and shiny as when I use the boxed color from the store and that color costs less. A little disapointed!I received a product back in January and put it on my hair, it was a lovely vibrant colour. I found that it was not as shiny, nor did it stay as well as my salon job. We just applied the new one and my daughter pout it on last night. There is o way that this was the same shade as my last product, or what I ordered. My hair was dark brown. I do not see any red in it at all! I am not happy with the product this time and will not purchase again unless you make amends and send the same product that I received last time. I would also like explanation as to why the product is different? If your product is not going to be consistent then it will not suit me to purchase. I'm not a happy camper!My hair look darker than the color that I had. I went form only dye my root, to dye my hair completely in order to have the same color. Something was not quiet right at the moment to find and match the color. I uploaded and send my pic during the account setting. So, I don't know what really happen. But, I'm not a happy camper. Couldn't use itReally gutted ..my colourist was amazing and we chatted and sorted out what would be the best colour for me, was so excited to get my childhood red hair back..I did the patch test and the smell was so strong and it effected my eye for a few hours..so figured out I was possibly allergic, didn't use it. Chemical ReactionHair color contains too many chemicals. After using it for a couple of month, I discovered that I am having allergic reactions from it. Having to deal with severe skin rashes and need extensive medical treatment. SO incredibly disappointed.I wanted to be enthusiastic about this product. Even mentioned it to strangers and to my social media followers. Unfortunately, this dye was not what I expected. I followed the directions exactly. I made sure I had everything perfect just so I could write this amazing review about how this dye would keep me out of the salon. The dye was off the begin with. The texture was odd, the smell was so overwhelming it made my eyes water. Upon time to wash out. I watched every bit of color go down the drain. What I was left with was the color I had wished for, if it had been washed out with dish soap for 6 weeks. It was weak to say the least, and uneven, though I followed the root to tip instructions. Where it gets worse. I took an unmixed portion to my stylist, who is also an instructor. I had expressed prior I would be doing this with her approval because she knows I like to play with my own color. She did a strand test and was in agreement. The dye to her was of poor quality. I could have achieve more with drugstore dye. I am not sure if this company is going through trial and error, or if they're attempting to fool the uneducated. Not even close to what I wantedYou do the survey and answer their questions. You choose your original color, your dyed color, and what you would like. Then someone that doesn't know you decides that the color YOU chose for YOU isn't right, and then they send you what they think you should have. And like a dummy I used it just to find that it is entirely too dark for me and now I am a fair skinned, blue eyed person with dark brown(almost black) hair. Did not like this productI was very disappointed in the product. Firstly the color was terrible. I had chosen the lightest blond which was the color of my hair and what I ended up with was a 'muddy' blond. Hopefully it will fade after a few washings. The messiest colouring product I have EVER used!The formula was runny and dripped on me the entire time. My shower was a disaster zone once I had rinsed out the product from my hair. The process is simple so I know that I didn't mess that part up. I don't know if there was an issue with the formula or something, but I will never use this product again. I still have the towel on my head as I write this review so I am not even certain of the colour at this point but I am so disappointed with the formula and the application that I had to share my review as soon as possible. Too dark!I was pleased with the initial all over color results, but the root refresher is too dark. I followed the instructions exactly for two separate root applications 5 weeks apart & received the same results, a very noticeable difference in color. It looks as if I have really dark roots growing out. I have messaged esalon with my concerns. I'll give them one more shot if the formula is changed & then I'm done. Damaged HairI was very unhappy with the results and quality of this product. I had decent expectations, nothing too high, but nothing prepared me for how damaged my hair would be from this product. I wanted to cry, I lost so much hair and had to have 3-4 inches cut off after. Split ends all over my hair. After cutting so much, I still have damaged hair, it will be years before it goes back to normal. First, the process and product is messy, got everywhere. The color did not take, I followed instructions to the "t". I almost passed out from the fumes and chemicals on my head, absolutely toxic. And I was in a completely ventilated space. Worst of all it damaged my hair and no matter the color that cannot be changed. I have no idea as I have colored my hair for years but never experienced a product that damaged my hair like this. I have used bleach on my hair in the past and even bleach didn't damage my hair like this.
