I never Have any luck .. and I tried this timeDid not change delivery date but somehow it got changed , and I got something I didn’t like the first time .. I canceled my order , can’t have your company sending me stuff when ever they want .. still don’t have the color right .. The Developer was not sealed correctly and leaked all over my box w/accessoriesThis is my first box of the new design/product and the developer was not sealed properly. The seal while intact, the screw top was not and leaked all over my stuff. The box was a soggy mess and developer was everywhere. Not to mention I lost half of my developer. I normally rave about you guys but so far with the new product/design, very unhappy. And I requested twice before that my color be changed and I was sent the wrong color. You used to have great customer service and call anytime I had a color change (which has been maybe 3 times in 4 years) I've sent 2 messages and heard nothing. Need to fix the waxy residue!I have washed and scrubbed my hair SEVEN times since coloring it yesterday, I am unable to remove the wax residue on my hair. This should not be the case. New to esalonI just tried esalon for the first time. The first shipment did not arrive after a few weeks so I called and a new order was sent out right away. I have mixed feelings. First the pros. My hair is nice and soft and looks natural. The colour turned out different at the roots than the ends. I was hoping to achieve more of a blend but this didn't happen. My biggest concern was the product fumes were so strong that I had a reaction with my eyes. It didn't irritate my scalp, but I could hardly open my eyes. They were burning and tearing throughout the process and I had a headache the remainder of the day. This was disappointing as the product leaves your hair with lots of shine. Not sure if I will reorder due to the intense fumes and colour issue. Didn't likeColor is way too red. Not even a dark mahogany! Not even close. I stressed the love of a dark rich color. Didn't get it. I have hot roots. Very unhappy with color. Instructions are wrong and confusingI keep receiving instructions to do a root color and I don’t need a root color . My gray is not shown at the roots but in peices all in my hair so I need a full color instructions . And I want to color my hair black . I liked the color. I have mixed my own before.The one problem was because of grey roots on top of hair, roots were lighter. This was a more liquid type feeling to use and I really did not mind. Trying to decide what to use so roots and when color is all the same. So will be even with products purchased. Any suggestions would be helpful. Since using tablet and computer crashed. Not what I was expectingWanted to lighten my hair and was told the lightest I could get was dark blonde. Which actaully kinda made my hair even darker. Plus it doesnt wash out at all and leaves my hair feeling like I have 10 lbs of oil dried on it even after the next day. I just washed my hair about 5 times when I was showering just to get it to feel somewhat normal again. I dont think I will be getting another shipment. The color was too light and too warm.My specific request was for dark brunette and I left a note for ash metallic. The color was much lighter than my current color with golden tones and following the directions my roots and around my face are lighter than the length of my hair. Quality awesome but color still too darkI like, no I love the quality of the product. I get compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looks. I just think because I have freckles and my skin is a weird tone, dark hair color just makes me look "older" not quite sure how to describe it. I thought maybe having a funky colors like violet would be better if I was going to stick with the dark but I think I'd prefer to just go light. 0 changeI have fairly dark hair, and I know that it can be hard to color it, but I feel I gave a very accurate representation of it's darkness and there was no change at all with the hair dye. It looks exactly the same as it did before I dyed it. I'm really disappointed because reviews made me think that it would work really well. Completely wrong colour for meAs much as I loved the anticipation and actual presentation of receiving my bespoke colour with complete kit, I was not happy with the colour. Described as light brown copper, I’m left with medium dark brown with a hint of red warmth. I followed instructions to a T and so disappointed after years of maintaining a bright beautiful vibrant red/copper colour, I’m left with a mundane brown. The colour didn’t even take to all of my hair so what’s worse is there are some very noticeable patches. Not something I’m willing to take responsibility for after in excess of 10 years home colouring, I know my own hair. Really disappointed, I’m not sure how I will get my hair back to its normal red colour. I won't be using this color againWhile I am please with my hair color, I was completely freaked out about the texture of my hair after I shampooed and dried. My hair felt like with was still wet and had a waxy, gummy feel. I looked on the website and could not find FAQs on the website and only found the solution once I googled e-salon gummy hair. It was there that I discovered an answered question on another website that suggested trying a clarifying shampoo. The shampoo worked but cost me an additional $8. Thick, greasy textureI’ve been using Esalon off and on for about 4 years. Something (a new formulation?) has left my hair hard, greasy, and difficult to dry. My hair wouldn’t dry after coloring. It was still wet the following morning, so I re-washed it, hoping to remove whatever was causing the heavy, greasy texture. It’s not at all soft or silky as it used to be. LIGHT BROWNAfter being recommended to go for dark brown by the colourist I disagreed and said I think I should go for light brown. Thank goodness i did because the light brown turned out very dark chocolate. I then had to have it bleached to lift the very dark brown .Also after all the hype about e salon colours being better quality than shop bought colours there was absolutely no difference and the colour was dull and flat.. Hair sticky and too darkThis is my second time dying my hair through eSalon and my experience is very different from the first. The first time, everything went well except the color was maybe just a little too red, no big deal. For this next round, I asked that the color be a bit cooler / lighter. Well, now I’m here with dark brown hair that feels like it has honey in it. I’ve washed my hair 3 times and I can’t get it out. I can barely brush my hair or get my fingers through it, it gobs together in one big mess and feels disgusting. I keep trying to brush it out but I’m just ripping more of my hair out. New Look is eh?So I haven’t actually colored my hair yet (I schedule my colors to come about a week before) I’m thinking and hoping the product will be just as good as before the packaging changed. But I have to admit the new look just seems, glum. I’m not sure but the colors just seem gloomy if that makes sense. Not really liking the change yet. First order wasn’t so great..My experience wasn’t the greatest, but I’m very glad plans can be tweaked for all kinds of reasons and orders are very custom. After my first application, the color took incredibly long to rinse out and stop bleeding. For two days, it looked great and beautiful and healthy. Afterward, for an unknown reason, my hair felt so dry and brittle even while using color safe shampoo and conditioner. I then had to do three (!!) deep conditioning treatments to get my hair back to feeling as smooth as before. I came on here today to end my plan as it just wasn’t up to my expectations, but they offered to give me a new kit to make up for the last one. Customer supportPreviously made a comment to customer support about shampoo & condintioner packets are not enough for long hair. When I oriniginally signed up, I stated I had long hair. I have received larger pkts once and the reason I requested them again. Unforuanetly, the response I received was they are crediting my next shipment to include additional packets but in the future I need to purchase them. Please let me say that I really like the convenience of home delivery. But I pay twice what I used to pay then I receive the response I spoke of and makes me wonder why they even asked for my hair lenght in the beginning if they didn't intend to provide enough of all supplies. I like the product but I'm not sure how much longer I will continue. If you hair is short, you will really like the product and will have ample product. Not goodWhile I should have checked what ‘surprise pricing’ I would receive after my first purchase, I wasn’t expecting an online hair colour to be the same price as it costs for my stylist to make a home visit. Also, the bigger issue is this does not cover grey, which is why I colour my hair in the first place. I would essentially need to recolour my roots every 1-2 weeks with this product, which I’m not happy to do. I now have 2 additional boxes of colour going into the rubbish - what a waste :( While the service is speedy, the product is not good for what my needs are. Not impressedI gave the color that I chose 3 tries. The last two, I requested for less brassiness. Unfortunately, my hair is still brassy with the adjustments. I used the color enhancing mask to help diminish this but it is not helping the tone either. Disappointed- residue on hair won't come offI ordered my kit; went through the online questions, posted a photo of myself etc. I specified in the notes that I like my hair to be bright, more ginger and less red. My dye colour was set as copper blonde. What I've actually got is a dark browny Auburn. My hair is dull, not vibrant and tonal like it is with off the shelf color. It's not even shiny and golden ginger in sunlight. It seems to have almost brown in it. But its dull and lifeless. On top of that, I applied the dye, followed the instructions and used the timer... I then did the shine step where you fill the bottle of remaining ends dye with water and use it to rinse your hair before washing out. It hasn't added shine nor broken down any residue (which is talked about in the instructions but not something I've ever come across in 17 years of dying my hair). I washed my hair out using their shampoo and my normal one as it didnt feel or look clean. I then conditioned with their conditioner. This left my hair feeling plasticky. I towelled off my hair and then added leave in conditioner to the ends (which I always do) my hair felt strange, like it was stuck together or had too much hair gel in it or something. I tried to blow dry my hair and it just felt like a semi flexible solidly stuck together mess...like insulated cable! I had to immediately go and try to wash my hair again. I shampooed twice and conditioned once, spent extra time rinsing too, all with my normal products. I could not get the crown area clean. I styled my hair and went out as I was in a rush. There was just this bit at the back that looked super greasy/ full of product and felt sticky and awful once it was dry. next morning and some of my hair is looking dry af like straw . The middle and back looks lank and greasy and messy. I've washed again today (that's 3 washes since dye yesterday) and it STILL looks greasy/ full of product (it isnt). Too darkSpite of having filled out all the info and uploaded a photo on natural light, my color customization was too dark. I did not like the results because although colored my grey I now look older. It is darker than I use to have in a salon. I was quite clear that I would like to have more red added yet got more brown. Instead of having a dark brown with red highlights, my hair is awfully BLACK. It's okMy kit did not contain the classic shampoo, it had 2 classic conditioners in it. I followed instructions step by step, but my roots did not change color. The bottom half of my hair, especially where i had balayage highlights, dyed to the expected color. The new branding makes me sadI’ve been a long time customer. I have always loved the color and the customer service is spot on. But the new branding feels cheap. The labels look like they were printed on my old printer from about 10 years ago. The new shampoo and conditioner is just like any generic color brand you get at the drug store. What happened to the Heart Lock it? The old packaging felt unique and cool. I feel like I got sent a box of Clairol. I’m not leaving you because your product is solid. NOT what I asked for, NOT happy at allThe color I previously ordered was not what I had asked for, I was sent brown & purple. I had asked for black with a purple overtone/highlight. Since using the hair dye you folks sent to me my hair has been falling out in clumps, when I brush my hair I now have to sweep/vacumn the floor. I'm really terrified that I may go bald. Very disappointedThis is the fourth kit I have used. I am a medium golden brown and esalon has, up to this point, done a great job matching my color and covering my gray. I use the kit each time first on my roots and finish all over, following the directions explicitly. This time my golden brown is gone and darkest monochromatic brown (almost black) is what I am left with. I am so very disappointed because esalon’s formulation is the first color that really stays in my hair - so that means I am really stuck with this color for quite some time. AllergicHello. Loved your color BUT I’m afraid I’m allergic to your color products. I did do the skin test and it was positive. I used the color anyways cuz I was desperate to try. But it looks like this will not work for me. UNLESS you can come up with something I won’t have a reaction to. I may just have to go grey natural. Can you still help me? New Hair ColorWe used the color kit exactly as the instructions said. I chose a light brown. I had some grey roots and they turned golden, but the rest of the color was fine.
